<Snipped quote by ScorpionFlower>

His daughter hates him, his sister in law as well and she is lady Ligart, and he killed the rest of his family coz they turned into bloodsuckers. No wonder why the poor sod sticks to being monster bait.

He is a knight. Better armored and skilled than many, so he usually has to hold his ground and tank hits while other hunters bring down beasties.

@Zelosse There definitely could be. Especially in the farther cities that aren't close enough to Rothenburg to get much help.

You can also create your own peasant militia in Rothenburg, I'm fine with that too, since the guards aren't doing the best job keeping monster attacks from happening. It would be a bit of a sore spot for the Royal Guards and probably some of the hunters since it's kind of a slap in the face that they aren't doing a good enough job taking care of things.

@Nymeria Say, what does it look like on the other side of that sea or simply further on the coast?
Could it be possible that my family is foreigner? I wanted to give them French family names and have an foreign ''French-Nobility'' accent. Feasible?

I missed this post for some reason.

My thought was that the sea is very vast and probably has not been crossed yet. There are unsettled lands far north and far south that could have foreigners. The Trieste Sea would extend far to the north so they could possibly sail from way up north to Rothenburg, but it would be a looooong trip.

@Nymeria@LordLinguinie

Sorry I posted it directly in the character section. Completely forgot I had to show it first. ._.
Shouldn't matter too much what with the hunt going on and all, though.

I think I took a lot of liberties, so I'll edit anything you don't agree with or think need changing. :P

@ScorpionFlower When I get off work I'll read up and see if the militia thug idea has ground to stand on.

@ScorpionFlower So to address the issue of outright owning the docks, we can say the family owns many of the establishments located around the area and also runs a successful shipping/cargo/fishing business. Like you mentioned earlier, controlling the cities imports and exports is more Prince Hugo's job, so perhaps he and the head of your family can have a long standing business relationship.

@LordLinguinie Sounds about right ! I wasn't sure, so I decided to just write what I had in mind.

Of course it's fine. As long as the general idea of them having boats superiority (for what it's worth in a bay) and a lot of wealth stick, the general idea remains intact. I knew owning the docks was far fetched. x) I'll edit it out.

Who's character is Prince Hugo?

Also, what about the mining enterprise that I mentioned somewhere in my sheet?

Fishing/Cargo transports (land and sea)
Mining Enterprise south for ores (read the Wife's character sheet in case)
Black Market Presence

And a strong Trade Presence and Wealth.

I nerf the possession of the entire docks and change it to multiple possessions along the water-side, and the rest would be okay?

When I suggested controlling the docks, I meant more like they own the property and charge the merchant ships to dock there. It would still be ultimately controlled by the King who and what goes through there, the family would just make money off of all of the business coming in and out.

But whatever works.

@Drakey Yes I saw your post. I'll try to reply sometime today.

Well that's what I kind of thought, but I am far from an economist so... I don't know all the details behind how ti would work. x) Sorry. Going back in my sheet, nerfing some stuff and making others more clear.

EDIT: I edited the sheet. I made the major changes in Bold texts so they're easier to spot. I hope it's okay?

I'm loving Rosaline!!!!!

I like their dialogue, and I can't wait to see what will happen. Will Rosaline keep her birth and status hidden? Will they continue to see each other? What will happen if she does keep it a secret and Mikhail learns of it? Will he be angry, or will she be the flower that rides upon the windy crags of high mountains, unable to be reached?

Who knows? *Shrugs*

I think You, Nymeria, and I are pretty much all on the same page with the families control of the docks. You can decide the specifics of how the company works and the ships. The Glover family Overresch could be a good rival for the family as they both have shipping/trade companies and both families have history across the Trieste.
Technically the Royal's are controlled by both Nymeria and I so either us can take over as Hugo for you or you could even use him as an Npc of sorts.
For the land portion of the family enterprises, the mining and moving cargo on the trade paths. I was thinking the mining company could be a joint business with Lucian as he too has just recently broken into the industry. This would also tie the family into the underlying dividing lines, against the Ballangers, possibly even aiming to take some of the Ballanger's business.
I don't have a problem with the shady blackmarket dealings and such, though there is no developed history there, so you'll be making it up as you go along.

Sounds good.

I'll go read the Glover family in detail.

Also, about Lucian as a possible partner, can we Roleplay it in IC? The current head of my family don't want to prosper in the Politic, but the Heir and Wife want. And technically, in my backstory, the Mining company was owned a little while back now, during the conquests of the King. Unless you and I agree that they already struck a deal back then.

For the rest - I'll see as I go. Thanks !

We could definitely do that that IC. We'll stick with just starting with a business discussion and see where it goes from there.
