I'd agree; that would be in bad form and make it harder to take any rulings coming from you seriously. When a tournament host competes in their own tournament, questions on the legitimacy of their rulings (such as for bias or otherwise) become more prevalent. I've always been of the mindset a Host should never enter their own thing.
That said, While you did mention in the RPGuild Discord that to regard your character list as a scale for mid-tier, this does not assist in answering the question as to what is and is not going to be considered mid-tier. That said, shall I assume that the scale for this tournament in regards to classification of Mid-To-High will be based on a Profile to Profile basis?
