Hello people of the guild. I’m Emma. Games I like to play outside RP are: Sims 4, Rock Band, Harvest Moon, zoo tycoon, and tropico. I’m nerdy in the sense that I love marvel, Doctor who, Sherlock, k-dramas, and reading manga. I go to a renaissance festival every year all dressed up so I’m that person. Love European history. Big fan of mythology and folklore. I’ve been apart of this site since I was in middle school. I like a wide verity of genres, basically all of them except playing as canon, mecha, or arena fighting kind of stuff. I’m currently working in a dead end soul sucking job. I’m contemplating going back to school (for the fourth time). I’m also 23, and working on my CS for this RP.

I'd really like to go to a renaissance festival! I bet one can find all kinds of neat little mementos to buy at one.

@Bishop
I'm going somewhere with this..

It sounds like that somewhere is the dark side, lol. You definitely can 'double dip' into a few classes, but keep in mind this is frowned upon in most communities. Also, understand that dabbling in multiple schools weakens your connection to anyone in particular. I'd want to be careful to ensure this character isn't too powerful, but this kind of character is definitely something that you can work towards and RP!

If you guys can take one more person, I would love to join. Alchemist or Necromancer sounds very interesting. I like filling in party needs.

Hey! Of course we have some room for you; I remember you from the original version of this RP! I can see now that the number is piling up for the party. It's no problem though. I can work around everyone's schedule.

Also, if you're interested in RPing in the world, but may not have a lot of availability please feel free to let me know! I am more than willing to allow people to RP certain quests every now and again or just as a guest once. Sometimes, I'd probably be willing to let others DM as well (in my absence or for specific quests)!

Well what kind of things would an Alchemist be allowed to do? I was thinking something like this for my guy. Alchemist idea. Like he can make different potions to fight his opponents. Still I just wanted to get an idea for the character first.

Yeah, that's actually part and parcel of what the Alchemist in this world is. Alchemists in Ithea are far more scientifically based. They've studied magic as a science rather than having tons of innate magic ability. Though there are certainly mages that study alchemy- it isn't inherent to an Alchemist. Magic instead amplifies the potions and concoctions.

Also, just on the topic of magic. In this world magic ability exists on a gradient- this ranges from the common- no magic to being a full on mage. One's magical prowess is usually established at birth but can be enhanced through Divine or Pact magics.

I figured that was the case but I did not want to assume anything. Time to work on my character!

I would like to pitch in my interest. I'll work on a character sheet tomorrow morning if that's alright.

He is not done yet but I had a question. I was thinking my guy started as a sheltered noble kid. He does not know a lot about the real world but he is good at Alchemy since his family left him alone to his books while his siblings were groomed to lead.

Since there is a good amount of interest I'm gonna get started on the OOC soon! I'd love to see the character sheets as soon as everyone can because once the OOC is up I'll probably close this interest check.

Again if anyone needs help or has any concerns please feel free to voice them here or message me!

So, I've made the OOC! I don't want anyone to feel pressured to finish their character sheet immediately. I just wanted to get it up and done so that when everyone is finished you won't have to wait on me! Please feel free to check it out!

I also encourage everyone to take a listen to the song posted there. It's a super pretty song, and I thought it fit well! Let me know what you think

I should probably also mention for our mage characters that the science of this world has studied you and your magic. There are preparations that can hinder you. One such example is an Erasure Ward- these babies come in three different tiers (Tier I, II, and III) and they can cancel spells of that same tier (I'll discuss each players abilities with them so if they have spells they'll know what tier a certain spell is).

This is meant to be more of a puzzle kind of thing rather than a means of keeping mages underpowered.
