Your character has just walked into the venerated foyer of Forever Worthy. The halls seems to speak to you a hearty welcome. The alabastor walls and ebony staircases wow you. Minernya greets your characters with a warm smile. "Welcome to Forever Worthy students." She says. "I hope you are all ready for your school year." She looks nervous and realizes it's a very low student turnout. "Well I would usually tell people to mingle and feel your fellow students out but there's such a low turn out. So maybe it's best to follow me to meet your teachers." Minernya is clearly worried about the school's future and her confidence doesn't seem the best when it comes to this realization. She leads your characters to the main schoolroom with Phoebe and Natalie are there. Phoebe is exuding confidence where Natalie is even more frayed than Minernya. The standard school room seems way too big for this small of a class and if someone one talks too loud there will certainly be an echo.

Walt Grismer

Walt stepped through the doors of the illustrious Forever Worthy, a sight to behold for sure, however the moment that he walked in the door his eyes dropped to the floor, a teacher stood there, waiting on them and tried her best to greet them. the student count was low, and this was probably best for him, he couldn't have handled talking to too many people anyway. Walt rested his hand on his belt running his finger over the hammer of his pistol, he could tell though their connection that Aveline wasn't having the same issue he was, but she never seemed to have any troubles.

"Don't fret so much Love, you will do fine, I am here to help you."

Walt heard the voice press into his mind as she spoke, the sensation was still quite fresh, he had never had the ability to speak telepathically nor had he ever been able to speak with machinery before, but still he wondered how far that classification would stick when talking about his sentient firearm counterpart. The form of speech that the two of them used was still new to him and he was unable to keep the thoughts in his mind so as they arrived to the main classroom he spoke aloud to the weapon in a voice just loud enough to be audible to those around him.

"I know, but this is a lot of things going on at once, and there are far too many people, I just want to...."

Walt stopped talking as he realized that he was not speaking in his mind and now a few were staring at him as the teachers seemed about to do their own introductions.

"Sorry, jitters and all."

Phoebe's eyes brighten, as if she wants to dissect a frog. "Wanna get weird and play spin the bottle? My kids need a third player so it's let's werid. Plus it's a good icebreaker." Natalie tries to avoid Walt, realizing she's in her moment of weakness. Minernya walks up, completely unaware of her stride exposing her fair-skinned legs.

"Don't apologize my dear student. There's much to learn with you. Also is your weapon clean? Minernya examines Walt as if she was his mom. She then realizes he has a gun. Oh you're with me, pleasure to meet you I'm Minernya Startoucher." She holds out her hand limply so Walt can shake it.

Drat you always get the vulnerable ones Minnie."

Cameron stepped into the hallway, his eyes busy taking in the sights of the academy's grand walls and halls and his jaw a little slack from the sheer size and beauty of the building. He looked up to the walls and ceilings and hitched his quiver of arrows back onto his shoulders, making them rattle against Fothaes' slender body.

Beside him, Zala grumbled and hobbled along, trying her best to keep up on her stout legs. Her back was aching from the long journey and the blister forming on the heel of her right foot from the new shoes she had bought was threatening to burst if she didn't sit down soon. She longed for her comfortable slippers or a pair of well-worn tennis shoes, but the Lady of the house had insisted that she had new shoes and a new dress for her trip. No doubt that what she had really wanted was her son to be seen in presentable company. Zala had hitched up her skirts to walk up and into the foyer of the building and she tutted loudly as she glanced up at her gormless companion, "You keep looking up like that and you'll trip over someone," she warned him, "you're not the only one here."

Cameron blinked out of his observations and looked down at Zala, before around and finding himself too close to a group of students and teachers. He shook his head and muttered a soft apology before stepping back to look at the group. Small. He had been expecting more, but he supposed it wasn't every day that someone found a telepathic magical item in the forest... nor under their bed in Zala's case.

"Wait other student, you gotta hang out with us well, train or learn from us." Phoebe says gleefully. You're being taught by me Ms Gnome, what is your name my dear so I can humanize you instead of saying just you? I try to be polite even when I'm... not good."

Eddie Grimes walks in reading a book called What to do After Tenure He looks up and sees Cameron with his bow and rolls his eyes in contempt. "Great another student." He scoffs cynically. "Come with me so I can see if you're worth my time."

Mineryna's hopeless face suddenly turns into a passionate scowl. She sighs heavily her curvy figure moving very apparently beneath her clothes. People, come on this is the future of humanity and other species we're talking about. Eddie stop being so defeatist Phoebe straighten up. Walt please come with me, the newcomers can come with me too. I may not be a specialist with said weapons but I have your best interests at heart. If you want me and Natalie can make all three of you new clothes." She's jumping from her seat and getting ready to hold Walt's hand.

Walt watched as the teachers began to talk and introduce themselves, his teacher Mineryna Startoucher, seemed nice, however he saw her hand come out offering a handshake. Walt wasn't keen on physical contact, it was something that bothered him pretty bad, his hand started to thumb Avelines hammer, not cocking her but just fidgeting.

"It's ok Wally, don't worry, she is a teacher, she is here to help you."

Avelines voice is calming for Walt, a something about it never failed to get through, but, in this case, it wasn't going to help. Walt somewhat took a step back from the teacher and avoided eye contact,

"Aveline is clean, reassembled her this morning after reapplying oil and setting the powder, powder scale is unseemly."

"Ouch, it isn't like I can help it."

Walt looked to the gun and his demeanor, previously so guarded, shifted the moment he started to speak to Aveline.

"I didn't mean you are unseemly, that's why we perform maintenance, my lack of care reflects my own habits, if I can't properly maintain, I can't...." Walt realized he was speaking out loud again and his focus returned to the teacher still holding out a hand, he quickly took the hand and shook it slightly, before letting go and putting it right back to the handle of Aveline. "Walt Grismer, and Aveline, I...." But that was probably going to be the most he was getting out at this point.

When the other teacher walked by and made a comment about worthiness, all Walt could think about was Burdreau, worth was a topic he had brought up a lot, and worth was something that Walt wasn't going to give anyone, however Miss Startoucher quickly set down the law, she seemed nice, hopefully she didn't mind his neurosis, but then she started to mention making new clothes, and instinctively he looked at his outfit. Walt was wearing his good clothes, granted that was just a white button down and black slacks with suspenders, and of course his holster and pouch, he thought he looked pretty nice, but perhaps a second outfit was in order. For now, Walt merely stepped towards Miss Startoucher and awaited their departure.

Zala blinked up in shock at the woman addressing her. She had almost forgotten that the companion she had strapped to her waist was her reason for being so willing to follow Cameron on another adventure. "There you go again," she felt the rusty iron's grumbling in the back of her head like an old memory resurfacing, "forgetting about me, letting me bash into things and bump my head on everything you trip over you clumsy cow." Zala glared down at her iron and gave it a smack.

"Hush now," she said firmly, before offering a hand to the teacher addressing her, "Zala Underbridge," she said, "and the annoyance strapped to my waist is Isiah. I'm assuming that we are offering both names." Zala's eyes flickered towards Walt to reassure herself that he had done the same, then across to Cameron as if willing him to take the conversation further. She knew that she couldn't hold much hope - he wasn't much of a talker.

Cameron looked to the new teacher and frowned. The man didn't look remotely interested in teaching him anything and he felt a twinge of competition strike up within him. He had taken up archery as a child and still continued to practice to this day - more so now that he had found Fothaes. In the back of his mind he felt a cold laugh bubble up into the surface of his consciousness. 'So there you are.' He hadn't heard much from his weapon since his decision to attend Forever Worthy.

"Seems as though this place will be good for you - something to drive you for once," her voice echoed. Cameron shook off her smug competitive waves of enthusiasm and looked to his 'teacher'.

"I'm sure I'll give you something to think about.." he said calmly.
