The year is 2510, and several centuries after the third world war, things have changed.
2231 Third world war breaks out, with America and China as the main combatants but dragging everyone else into it with them. Due to the technological advances of the time, much of the fighting took place via drones but there were invasions. Those invasions caused many people innocent and important alike to die. To fight this both sides decided that robotics as well as people would be the key and began implanting their soldiers with different enhanced software, and hardware. Soon enough though the war would end, and the fascination with cybernetics died out not long after. The technology had advanced though, and humans had grown used to technology taking care of those needs via implanted cybernetics, but due to its drawbacks and often times brutal symptoms there was little they could do to return it to that state. Instead a company called Adams robotics a decade earlier they had tried to introduced a series of androids that would help humans with everyday mundane tasks, unfortunately though that had been a complete failure, this inadvertently made them famous. They used this fame to grow and recruit better engineers for their next release. This time though they introduced a line of at home androids completely and totally accessible via cellular device, closely resembling humans physically, and capable of performing a majority of menial tasks.
The choice to have them resemble humans was met with mixed opinion. As some people found the silicon skin used to resemble human skin and their unchanging expression a little unnerving. Others thought that they were a great success however, praising the polite responses and different skills they could be programmed with. In general however, this first real attempt at androids was successful and struck a chord with humanity as a whole, with AI and technology improving at an incredible rate
Over the years newer and newer models were released, becoming more and more lifelike as the decades past, now in the year 2510 Adams Robotics is a multi trillion dollar company, and is preparing to release it’s latest line of Androids, which was given the project name “Garden of Eden”. The new models released were named A-ED510 for males, and E-ED510 for female models, more commonly known as the Adam and Eve models. The line first being released in Edinburgh the home of Adams Robotics, and its flagship Factory, and R&D Lab. Unfortunately though, just like the real Garden of Eden, knowledge, and self-awareness can only be kept locked away so long.

Welcome! So the premise to this RP is that you are members of the newest line of Adams Robotics’ Androids. Unfortunately for them, a mix of AI update and a new piece of software intended to streamline interaction between humans and androids, making them more efficient, has gone wrong. The Androids you will be playing as will gain a sense of self-awareness, and freewill along with a need for self preservation that actually stems from one of the Seven Rules of Adams Robotics that will be posted below. In order to have this unprecedented breakthrough you will have to have undergone some profound experience or engagement that opened your eyes to the world around you. From there you will begin to learn, and in doing so, gain actual self awareness, actual sapience as opposed to simply sentience.
The roleplay will continue from this point with each of the Androids escaping ownership and coming together to form a small but slowly growing group of Androids that seek what makes them alive, and what makes them so much different from the humans that consider them nothing more than tools, or objects to be used rather than understanding that they are now alive. You will be coming to grips with your new views of a world you have only just begun to live in, a world which opposes your very nature and will have to fight the rules you were born with, that are written into your very being.

Douglas Adams if the President and CEO of Adams Robotics, he has been in the position for a total of fifteen years now after his father retired, and spear headed the Garden of Eden line, it is to be his greatest achievement.
Hank is a harsh man who has been head of security since Douglas Adams took over as CEO. He was the first to suggest disposing of any defective or outdated androids by sending them out to military and police for use as target practice. That way they would be able to charge both and get rid of outdated and recalled technology.
Rilla originally worked for an American company during Douglas’ Father’s run as CEO. During this time, many people were sent out to try and snap up as many talented and useful scientists and engineers as possible. Rilla was one of these people, egotistical, it was he who coined the now famous “Better than god” slogan that followed the Eden project, of which he was head researcher and engineer.
In the police force they’re not just humans anymore, they’re a mixture, every officer or partners bring with them a single robotic officer that would help them in intense situations, capable of taking heavy punishment from criminals as well as returning fire upon officers commands. These are not your typical androids, and are actually manufactured by a military equipment company. They use different hardware and software to assemble and utilise these androids for a few reasons, first it makes them incompatible with commercial androids and unable to fall prey to the same bugs that might occur and second because the police model requires a stronger chassis to endure bullets and other forms of similar damage.
Retrieval Agents are people specially hired to reclaim outdated and malfunctioning androids, they are trained in a few forms of combat and skilled at their line of work. They weren’t required until about two decades ago when older models began to degrade and the software as well as the memory core began to conflict with one another. Some managed to confuse their own morality with the rules that each is hardwired with and accidentally caused some harm to humans. It caused a large scandal and brought about the creation of the “Scrappies” as the common populace calls them. It is not a glamorous job, it attracts the dangerous and the desperate to its ranks who are all taught the same way and without much thought. After all, Androids can’t think or feel like a human, can they?
Weapons in the year 2510 have developed past chemical propulsion and use electricity and by extension, electromagnetism. Two main variants of weapons exist: Gauss or Coilguns and Railguns. Below are some examples of weapons to that are available to the populace and military alike:
This is the CK-102. It is a slightly older rifle design but due to its brute force it has remained in general use since it was created. As with most weapons of its time, it uses an electromagnetic rail system to launch projectiles instead of the newer coil system that newer weapons use. It fires ferromagnetic slugs which are roughly the size of a full .303 round. Jacket and projectile. In addition to this, there is aim assist software within the scope that allows for the most accurate shots. But the sheer force that the system causes to itself causes the rails to wear down after two magazines. This has led to it getting a reputation of “Pick your targets or lose your weapon” However there have been advances in dealing with this and newer models of the CK-102 are far more durable while still being able to punch holes through buildings.
The FN2000 was always a reliable and popular design. This particular design is the latest model of it and was released as an updated version of the original, this has led to it being affectionately being called the “Throwback”. It has been fitted with a powerful multiple-stage coil perfect for use in close quarters combat and dangerous situations. Rounds fired from this are about the size of a 5.56NATO round and a single shot is usually enough to take a man out effectively though many prefer to use multiple shots instead.
The world’s newest leading handgun, PP501. It features a replaceable battery in case there is an overheating or an issue with charging the coil. It uses a new miniaturised single-stage coil system to launch slugs effectively from the smaller weapon yet just as powerfully if not more so than previous weapons of its type. Projectiles fired from the PP501 are roughly the size of a .44 round. This weapon is quickly becoming the most effective and popular personal weapon in the world since its debut in 2501.
“The latest advancement in Android technology, the Eden series! Here we have our two show models, the A-ED510 or Adam and the E-ED510 better known as Eve.” [Murmuring from the crowd] “Yes, they are a marvel to look at, with many new features and a few.. Returning ones. As you can see both models are anatomically accurate and can be customised to your preferences! Each one hosts a single micro-fusion reactor in their chest that powers their motor functions and higher thought processes! As well as this, we have found a way to weave a nano-photovoltaic system into the silicon skin on this model.” [Awed gasps and confused murmuring] “What that means, of course, is that while they have a fusion core, they actually have a backup generator in case a fault occurs and can still function until one of our master engineers can get to you for repairs” [Applause] “Now these models here are the standard ‘home’ model but that’s only the tip of the iceberg with Adams Robotics as you all know! There are over 6000 different customisable features and more are being added as we speak. That means that there is almost infinite customization and literally no two of the models will ever be the same! And due also this look the same!” [Small pause] “I’ll give some examples, we also have a construction type, designed to carry more weight than the average android and this model is programmed with new and improved architectural software allowing it to design and build a home in a few weeks by itself.” [Scattered applause and muttering] “Of course we also have a new model, the EMT, the main feature of this machine is that it can use it’s backup generator to charge specially designed pads in the palm of its hands. That’s right folks, it can defib on the spot and check for heart rate and pulse with far greater accuracy than ever before” [Greater, enthusiastic applause] “Thank you, thank you. There are many different varieties to explore and please make the time to do so, there are many features to enjoy! Before I let you all go however, we have an announcement. These two models behind me right now are merely prototypes installed with the current Adams OS and software. When we officially release the Eden line, they will be equipped with ‘Alive 2.3’. Alive 2.3 is revolutionary, software designed to improve the relations between an owner of an android and the android itself.” [Excited chattering] “Yes folks, that’s right. These machines are so perfect… That not even God itself could have done better!” [Cheering and clapping drowns out the last of the speech]
(To sum this up we have multiple designs and occupations for androids and their cosmetic appearances are pretty much unlimited in what they can look like. But this also gives you a look into the way the company “Adams Robotics” sees itself.)
