A powerful teacher who refuses to lose focus from his work, Amenthes Ferrocerium is more than just a proven Huntsman. He has slain hordes and hordes of them on his own, and has been proclaimed by some as a prodigy. Though he places emphasis in his studies of the Grimm and their behavior, many find it hard to approach him.Name: Amenthes Ferrocerium
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Equipment: Trisingr – A powerful halberd. Its initial design was to tear apart Faunus by capitalizing on any parts that gave them an inherent advantage. After falling into Amenthes’ hands, it has been redesigned to lose its original immense lethality against people and Faunus alike. It is still a respectably powerful weapon in general, however. The weapon has no compatibility with Dust.
Semblance: Albedo Murderer – Amenthes’ weapon, Trisingr, will glow a bit when within his hands. This glow indicates that Amenthes deals increased damage against Grimm.
Amenthes is capable of creating reflections of light particles. These reflections can take the form of “orbs.” When Amenthes creates an orb, he has the option of granting the orb a special priority. Rolling 1 will grant the orb greater speed upon collision. Rolling 2 will grant the orbs the ability to move forward without being pushed away by anything and absorb incoming projectiles until it hits against a target or doesn’t hit any target for more than five seconds. Rolling 3 will cause the orb to explode and knock away targets on impact, as well as reflecting any projectiles within its vicinity. Amenthes usually creates up to eight orbs at a time, though his actual maximum threshold is twenty. All orbs can bounce off solid surfaces, and he can only grant special priority up to five orbs at one time.
These orbs can be moved in the air by Amenthes’ mind and his weapon, Trisingr. Orbs controlled by Amenthes’ mind are limited to being controlled within a radius around him, while Trisingr lets him launch the orbs at very far ranges. Enough impact with an orb can cause it to fade away, though it is usually risky to focus on bringing them down, as he could just spawn another one almost immediately afterwards.
When colliding against human or Faunus targets,
the target will feel a split headache and nausea upon direct contact with any of the orbs, and may receive a decent amount of damage to their Aura. Against Grimm lower than the Reisen class, however,
the orbs will cause the Grimm to fade away upon contact in a blinding flash if they do not dodge the orbs.
Specialty: Amenthes is a purely melee-focused Marksman. His Aura is respectable, and his lack of need for a secondary weapon form allows him to react and think ahead very well. His most glaring weakness lies in that he does not have additional equipment to deal with those who get close to him, and has no gear specifically equipped to hurt people. He's not necessarily at a disadvantage against fast-moving opponents, but they may have a better time getting past his Semblance due to the orbs not necessarily being lightning fast. His Semblance is still relatively fast for how much power they hold, however, and his all-around fighting style always makes him a high priority threat who must always be taken seriously.
Personality: Quiet for the most part, Amenthes is a logical and careful man. He may come off as cold or ignorant of social situations, and he is to some extent when he must. As a teacher, he generally conceals any emotions that could become visible and considers his work to be a necessity. Though he may be quiet even in the face of arrogant students or teachers, testing his patience can cause some people to run into a frighteningly different side of his silence.
Amenthes is fiercely loyal to the Headmaster, and considers other teachers as his superiors, regardless of their age. Outside of his classes, though his quiet nature remains true, he juggles between different activities, such as reading, writing, or playing pool on his own. He may also initiate conversations, though they are very often not simplistic or pointless. While he usually treats students generally equally, he becomes slightly softer to those who have trouble speaking up. He usually refrains from using his Semblance at its peak strength.
Background: Amenthes’ past is shrouded with little to no information. He neither cares nor takes pride in his heritage, and prefers to value his purpose.
