Powers:
Scales - The microscopic scales that make up Mr. Slake's wings are a powerful psychotropic. When inhaled by a living creature, they enter a fugue state of sorts. Within this trance, the effected become extremely docile and open to suggestion, dedicated to fulfilling Mr. Slake's every request.

Chaff - In addition to their effect on living creatures, Mr. Slake's scales also act as a kind of organic chaff which refracts light and scrambles sensory equipment, making both himself and his immediate area impossible to view with telescopic aid or photograph.

Flight - Naturally, Mr. Slake can also use his wings to fly.

Weakness: High-humidity environments wash his scales out of the air, rendering them useless. Likewise, soaking his wings prevents him from using any of his demonic powers until he can dry them out.

Background: Mr. Slake is an accountant working within the debt collection department of Alecto, Megaera & Tisiphone Banking And Legal. Mr. Slake is a staunch professional. Mr. Slake believes that debt collections should be quiet, efficient, and impersonal, with an absolute minimum of disruption to the general populace. Mr. Slake does not believe in making threats, only promises. After work, Mr. Slake enjoys relaxing with a fine vintage and some good blackmail material.

Name: Master Cornelius Choppers Conflagration XIV (or to close colleagues on non-business hours 'Chopper')



Class: Bruiser

Powers:

Firestorm: Conflagration XIV is not just a part of a fancy sounding namesake, it is what Cornelius does. By shaking off some fur, opening the mouth to breath or most likely via striking at objects with his paw, Cornelius can unleash a horrific hell-fire which burns through anything remotely flammable, which hasn't been sanctified of course, and will keep burning until it runs out a fuel source or doused with enough holy water.

Hardbodied: Master Cornelius Choppers Conflagration XIV was bred for the purposes of fighting so in short he has a thick head and body and capable of hitting hard and taking hard hits.

Hellacious Howling: By emitting a loud baying noise those who are within the vicinity to hear, and are not demonic in their nature, are driven into a frothing at the ears level of riotous panic.

Weakness: A high pitch whistling, such as from a dog whistle, will cause Choppers to freeze in place feeling an intense pain until it is stopped. He also cannot resist going after any type of feline and will drop whatever is at hand to engage in that. And the use of hoses nearby him are psychologically traumatic and he will not go near them.

Backstory: Master Cornelius Choppers Conflagration XIV was born in the deep pits of Hell for one particular purpose; fighting with an occasional bit guarding. After all, people need entertainment after a long day's work and it just so happened to be that Choppers was that to many. Due to the prowess in the pits, Master Cornelius Choppers Conflagration XIV found himself being adopted, at a hefty price, to a new owner, one who worked in the Corporate World. However during a mission his new owner sent him on, Chopper accidentally caused "The Incident", a great and tragic fire that should never be brought up in polite company. So Master Cornelius Choppers Conflagration XIV was abandoned by this owner and made the rounds until he wound up in the hands of some debt collectors. Choppers seeks a bit of redemption from "The Incident" and to prove that he is, a good boy.

Name: Levi Hawford



Class: Fixer

Powers:

Deceit: Can appear in human form and because his employment predates his death Levi is not actually a full demon. Because of this it is hard for Angelic forces to spot him as a collector.

Trickery: Sleight of hand and adept in conjuring several items (he fancies himself an illusionist in another life).

Illusion: a knack for ‘disappearing’ if you would call it that.

Yet another loan: Levi is in the possession of an ornate, double barrel .41 Derringer that fires demonic rounds rather than actual ones.

Weakness:
With Levi not being a full demon he has less powers than most others in his profession. He is less potent in combat of any kind, already taking the Fixer part of that into account. His contempt for religious organizations gets in the way of his farce every now and then.

Backstory:

Levi, before his employment with the Devil, was born as a child of a traveling gypsy circus. After years spend on the road, helping build up the circus, tending to animals, occasional theft, pickpocketing and other related jobs Levy turned out to be a rather deftly inclined young man. He started learning from the circus’s magician, illusionist and occultist.
What started as a show of dark arts became more and more into the séances and the science of the occult. Under the name Silas Umbra he knew great heights and lows in success. His shows drawing many curious souls to behold his tricks, but also scared away due to the rituals and iconography involved. His popularity waned as his practices became more and more macabre eventually drawing the ire of certain religious groups. This resulted in the burning of a theatre and the maiming of Levy. It was the darkest moment of his career, but what came after was a lot darker…

Where Levi’s previous explorations of the occult where careful scientific prodding, now he pursued actual results. This is when Levi made his own deal with a demon that resulted in a rather spectacular streak as an illusionist and a life of wealth, fame and debauchery. As a part of his debt Levi’s own fixer required a multiple of foul deeds to be done in which Levi went above and beyond the requirements. Levi knew there was an eternity of hell in store for him and because of that he viewed the entire process as a job interview. A mindset that eventually payed off due to the employment as a Fixer, a job that by now Levi has been doing for over 70 years...

Name: Lucas (No known last name)
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Species: Not human, not angel, and not demon. The word for what Lucas is doesn't exist.

Occupation: Professional exorcist and cleanser

Personality: He's a bit of a strange little guy. Lucas is very peculiar about who he interacts with and how. He doesn't like crowds, being photographed, cameras, or being asked questions. Any of these things will have him become frustrated and he'll probably storm off in a huff. If irritated, he will quickly resort to lashing out physically to get his point across. Seeing as he can't yell, one might think that this is his alternative.

If one gets on his good side, he's typically a mild, friendly man. Once he decides he trusts someone, he doesn't seem as stand offish anymore. He will likely never overcome his social anxiety, however.

Appearance: Lucas can easily be described as a bean pole: tall and lanky. He's been told often that he's too thin and needs to gain weight. Lucas has a PEG tube that sticks out of his abdominal wall; it's basically a port straight to his stomach where liquid food and nutrition can be pumped. Due to the all liquid diet, he stays just above underweight.

He's pretty unassuming looking: hidden under oversized clothes with his face tucked into a scarf. He has a head of messy black hair, usually worn fairly short. He has a natural olive tone of his skin, his race unknown. His eyes tend to catch people's attention. Some say he has the eyes of a feral animal, dark and a bit wild. Others say they see the eyes of a sad hound dog. Either way, his eyes are dark brown, the color almost indistinguishable from his pupils.

Lucas's most predominant feature by far is his face. He sort of doesn't have one. While his forehead and eyes appear normal, Lucas's face below the bridge of his nose is malformed. His nose appears to be incomplete, like someone cut the fleshy end off of it. And he completely lacks a mouth. His chin is narrow and pointed, his features almost elfish in appearance. If not for the deformities of his face, Lucas might be considered handsome.

Powers:

Lucas has a very unique skill set. He has a 'gift'. Lucas can draw energy from surrounding sources, fire, sunlight, heat, electricity, and produce his own light. This light burns monsters that get too close to it, namely demons and most other foul creatures. Most non-humans are unable to touch his skin without being singed.

His gift of light is accompanied by an ability to defeat demons in a way that even the most experienced of priests have yet to figure out. When he comes into contact with the creatures, he seems to absorb them. If he is performing an exorcism, he draws the demon from the victim and into himself. This usually results in a short inner battle before the demon is either banished or completely eradicated. So far, Lucas himself has never been possessed. No one really knows what would happen if he was.

Weaknesses: Because of his deformity, Lucas is mute.

When tackling more powerful demons, there is a chance that they may escape, weakened, rather than be destroyed. After dealing with demons of high power, Lucas usually has to take time to recover.

Killing Lucas is an absolutely an option. It will set him back and be a considerable inconvenience, however, it won't be long before he comes back.

Biography:

Where Lucas came from isn't entirely clear. He showed up one day during a string of violent possessions at the hands of demons. He was the age he appears to be now, perhaps mid-twenties, and hasn't aged since.

It didn't take long for a local priest to befriend the man. He and an aquaintace of his, another trained exorcist, made a home for him. It was clear that Lucas was special from the get go, he had great powers in him. However, his fear of society and odd mannerisms made him stand out. He couldn't be left on his own.

Lucas has spent several years with his new caregiver, Mr. Isaac Partway. Partway has since left the church officially, making him and Lucas a couple of freehand excocists.

Supporting Characters:

Father Lars Petulengro : A catholic priest who works at Our Lady of Sorrows cathedral within the city. He is very young for a priest, only just 29. Father Petulengro remains secretive and mysterious to his fellow church goers. What exactly he does around the church is unknown. He doesn't give sermons, and he doesn't ever leave.

Isaac Partway: A former priest and a close friend to Lars. He was given the responsibility of keeping Lucas safe and out of trouble. This task isn't easy, seeing as their day to day job brings them to locking horns with demons on the regular.

Name: Ratwing the Seeker

Class: Tracker

Powers:
- Pigeon Lord- Pigeons speak with him willingly, with all the detail their tiny pigeon brains can muster, and he can issue simple commands. He also has an array of screens back in hell he calls "Pigeon Vision," allowing him to see through the eyes of any pigeon. But hey- at least they can recognize faces.
- Portal Mastery- Ratwing can open portals with ease, within a reasonable distance. They're color coded for your convenience, and allow instantaneous transport between the two. Travel over longer distances, or hopping back and forth from hell, require a nearby pigeon at either the entrance or exit.
- Flight- Ratwing is capable of flight, though not particularly fast flight. He can pull some decent acrobatics, however, and has plenty of stamina.
- Excellent memory and math skills- Not much to say here- he's good with trajectories, and doesn't forget a lot of stuff.
- Feathers- Ratwing's feathers are particularly sharp, allowing him to pluck them to use as weapons.

Weakness: Uncooked rice makes him explode. It takes him several hours to reform back in hell.

Backstory: Pigeons. The most common bird in any city. They go unnoticed for much the same reason a fish doesn't notice water. Everyone knows what a pigeon is, but few know their dark and secret history: Long ago, the first pigeon sold its soul and the soul of all its progeny to a no-name goon in the surveillance division for a bag of corn. Though pigeon souls are weak, and practically worthless due to the overwhelming supply, Ratwing still cemented himself as the god of the pigeons. Well, that got him out of the "Surveillance Filing" department, and promoted to actual surveillance.

Appearance:
In human form, Alcaeus stands at around 5'6" (refer to image) and is perhaps slightly paler than the average human. His demonic form, which often sprouts from his back, is much taller and seems to be made of bandages, much like a mummy.

Class: Bruiser

Hand of the Demon King: King Alcaeus' demon hand increases in size and strikes with incredible force.

Cursed Binding: The shadowed bandages of his demonic form seek out and grab his target.

Weakness:
King Alcaeus' demon form cannot handle the harsh light of the midday sun or flashlights, thus restricting him to his human form when under such conditions. He is able to use his demonic form when around weaker lights, like lanterns and fire, however he is weakened by it.

Backstory:
King Alcaeus was originally the emperor of an ancient kingdom whose history was completely lost in time. He was a tyrannical ruler, and a warmonger who was bent on destroying everyone for the sake of power. His thirst for power led him to make a pact with Hell to grant him unrivaled strength and immortality. His debts soon caught up with him during his century long reign. Due to his pact, his strength was only matched by some of the strongest Bruisers in Hell, but he was eventually taken down and brought to the underworld to pay his debts. His strength impressed those in the underworld, and his brutality was more demonic than some of those who resided in Hell itself.

As part of his repayment, he was transformed into a Bruiser of Hell. Despite his reputation as a warmonger, Alcaeus was also an extremely underhanded man; thus he chose to take the form of a young man to make his opponents underestimate him. His mummified form is a symbol of his royal status, perhaps made this way to mock him.

Name: Narious "The One who watches" Sleeker

Appearance:

In his humanoid form, Narious is 5 feet and eleven inches and has tan skin, he usually wears rags and a mask that hides his horribly disfigured face. In his true form, he is 10 feet tall and is made of pure demonic energy, which he is constantly absorbing.

Class: Tracker
Powers: Weapon summoning, Narious can summon any ranged weapon in human history.
Demonic Enhancement: Narious can enhance his weapons and himself with pure demonic energy.
Flight: In his true form he can fly without the use of any external means
Sides of the same Coin: Narious's true form goes on a rampage and attacks nearby enemies, while his humanoid form snipes people from a distance
Superhuman Athletic capability: Has superhuman agility and eyesight
Weaknesses: He can not maintain both forms at the same time, for an extended period of time

Backstory: Once a Sniper during World War one named Jack Williams, he was a bloodthirsty soldier and his squad started to recognize this, they sent a message to his family in Brooklyn about his alarming behavior, he was honorably discharged less than a week after that message was sent. However, his thirst for blood had yet to be satisfied in full, so he became a hired mercenary during one of his missions his employer wanting Jack to be the ultimate sniper made him sign a pact with hell for augmented abilities. During the pact, his inner demon was brought out, literally. But at some point in time, he merged with his "true form" to become what he is today, able to switch at will.
Eventually, his debt caught up with them but he was given a special offer if you bring back enough debt you're free to go, but if not you stay here in hell, And since Jack was a womanizer the only fitting punishment was to horribly disfigure his face. He got his new name while receiving his new powers. He has spent so much time as either his true form or his humanoid form, that it is now difficult to maintain both at the same time.
