Blazing FistAs the fleeing villain opened fire on them Shingo threw himself on the ground and covered his head with his arms, bullets whizzing over him. He heard the motorcycle’s engine fade into the distance and waited a couple seconds longer until he was sure the coast was clear. When he was sure he picked himself up off the ground in time to see the other heroes doing the same. Thankfully no one seemed to have been hurt too badly by the barrage, the woman with the glowing sword was clutching a wound on her arm but otherwise everyone looked ok.
Well, aside from the dagger in Eraserhead’s back.
“Was that all of them? Have we missed them all?”Twisted Metal had disappeared by now and the guy with the gun and the martial artist had ridden off in the same direction on the bike; all three villains had slipped out of their grasp. Even with the four of them and a renowned hero like Eraserhead on their side they couldn’t catch a single villain.
“Who even were those guys? I didn’t recognise anyone except Twisted Metal.”It was an unacceptable loss on their part, one that unfortunately must have been caught on camera if that news chopper was still around. It wasn’t even that they had let the villains get away; with the injuries everyone had sustained they had indisputably lost the fight.
“What happened to that other guy? The one who was fighting Twisted Metal earlier? With the cables?”@Argonaut@Rafiel_purewing@Skinner35----
LikhoradkaGritting her teeth Alina raised a hand to shield her face as the masked man pelted her with rubber bullets, the hero running in circles around her as he kept firing. The non-lethal rounds stung and bit like little insects but ultimately didn’t do much more than leave a bruise that disappeared almost as soon as it formed.
It was tiring however; every time she healed it sucked away a little bit more of the energy she had gained from her earlier meal. And it was frustrating, to be played around with by this man in his silly costume and his toy gun and its fake bullets; she would kill him now if she could. But he was fast, faster than her Quirk somehow and she didn’t want to waste energy chasing him around unless she was sure she could catch him.
The stranger with the trident had disappeared somewhere as soon as Alina had taken her eyes off of him, meaning he was alone now so long as the other heroes didn’t realise something was happening over here, away from the main fight. As soon as he let his guard down, or stopped moving, she was going to pounce and he wouldn’t have another chance to get away.
So Alina was biding her time, waiting for the right moment to strike, when out of nowhere a young girl, surely still a teenager, grabbed him from behind. She held a knife under his chin and whispered something in his ear, but Alina didn’t wait to see what happened next, whether she would slit his throat or he would somehow escape; now was her moment to strike.
Dashing forward to close the distance between them Alina lashed out with her appendage, her second mouth shooting out to grab the gun from the man’s hand. She aimed for the barrel of the revolver, even taking care not to accidentally close her teeth on his hand instead. Alina didn’t want to hurt him yet, now that she had a chance she wanted to play with her food for a bit.
