Bio:

Personality: Raymond is no doubt witty, honorable, and determined. His dry sense of humor, and sarcastic tones leaves him in trouble with the Galactic Committee, but a good drinking buddy to his crew. He still feels an immense amount of guilt for many things, including his mother's death, the ambush on Neera, and his sister's hatred for him. He has a more pessimistic view on the world around him, but when given the chance, he won't disappoint anyone who puts faith in him. He's a natural leader, a born fighter, and there's little that can stop him.

Weapons: Raymond is equipped with a standard issue Committee Fleet battle rifle that collapses when its placed on his back holster. His primary weapon of choice is a revolver that changes from incendiary, electric, and frost bullets. It was passed on in his family for generations. He named it Lady Luck

Family/Relationship?: Raymond only has one known living relative, and that is his sister, Paige Chase. She refuses to talk to him, and blames him for the death of their mother. He also has a complicated relationship with the Monroe's Doctor, Luirae Driani. They have known each since Raymond was put in charge of the ship, and only she knows the full story of Ray's past. Because of his sentence, and status as a prisoner, he has not made his feelings clear to anyone.

Other: Raymond has a collection of old Earth records--mostly 50's big band and 80's rock.

Bio:
Rae was born on the planet of Pluvia, a world covered in ice and snow, a vast wasteland of endless white and jutted glaciers at first look. If you were trapped there, it would hold nothing but blizzards and large blocks of hail that fall from a never-ending storm. The clouds only clear once every year, letting the two moons circling her home planet to shine through and light up the snow causing something special to happen. Glowing flowers called Farafell bloom, only lasting one night but it is the only time her people see the surface and sky of their home though it is not because of the frigid temperatures but because it is more pleasant to live by other means. You see, her planets true home is actually on the inside. They live in various tunnels that connect to different caves, each one very uniquely different from the last but most are covered with lush strange plant life and animals adapted to the land above as well as below. The only source of light they have are certain bugs as well as spores that the trees released at certain times every day.
The Cristallum don't keep their children past the age of 4 so most parents aren't attached to their children or share a bond. It is for this reason that Rae finds it a strange concept to have people support her or be there for her since she is not used to it from her own kind. The Cristallum species chooses your job and then you are trained till you are of age to do the job assigned. It is all very official and not a lot of emotion is put into things but that is just their way. They are not mean or cruel, just to logical and try to be kind to all they meet (which is not many) unless they are given reason to attack. None of her race ever left home since it is almost impossible for flight, in or out and everyone always has a place to belong which never gives them a reason to want to leave. Rae felt she could be more and do more than what she was ordered so she took her chances by learning the technologies from the outside world and used the broken parts of fallen ships to make one of her own, leaving on the one day when the sky was clear....the festival of the blooming Farafell.
It wasn't long before she took on a job to be a bounty hunter when an officer of the law saw her defend herself from a being almost five times her size. It wasn't the perfect job and not really one she enjoyed but at least it was something since she was starting from scratch. After a few years on the job, Rae was starting to feel stuck in one spot again and it was miserable to be catching people only to have them being put who knows where. Instead, she switched to focusing on medicine, wanting to be able to help people and even save them. Being a bounty hunter meant always being alone which didn't pull her out of her quiet shell and lack of understanding seemed to put her in more trouble with others so the change in her life had brought about more than just her happiness but taught Rae about things she couldn't learn in class. Going to school and being around so many people where communication was necessary made her build confidence and allowed her to understand some emotions and things such as friendship though she was still lacking in many areas, at least she was more aware about the worry of upsetting others. After graduating early, she joined the Galactic Committee as a volunteer so she could explore the universe and they assigned her to the Monroe, letting her choose to a certain extent who would be on it or at least the original crew. The Committee would continue to ask her opinion now and then. Most would think her crazy, wishing to be on a ship of criminals and sent on suicide missions but to her it is the most rewarding job. She joined for her own reasons but stayed so she could help everyone on the ship even though she works for the Committee technically, her loyalty is not to them. She would never want to restrict the Marauders or write reports about every little thing they do. She wants to make sure they live on.

Personality:
She isn't one to back down from a challenge and always puts her heart in everything she does. Rae can be stubborn, rash, and blunt but she is also kind and if you are lucky enough to get close to her, then she has unbreakable loyalty. She is the kind of person that would give up her life if it meant protecting others. Sometimes she can be oblivious to certain things or doesn't understand certain types of emotions but it is only because of her background where there wasn't many emotions.

Weapon(s):
Elemental dual pistols or special bow/arrows. The bow has a specially made string that can contracts into the middle when a certain button is pressed. It activates a magnet to keep the metal holder for the old string in place before activating a high powered laser as the "new" string.

Family/Relationship?:
  • Has a strong relationship with the Captain of the ship. She isn't sure what kind of relationship but she respects him and he has her loyalty.

Other:
Her eyes have the unique trait to look through the body of others if she so chooses and see straight to the bone, organs, muscles or tendons depending on what she prefers to see. This is one of the reasons she was a bounty hunter seeing as how this little gift gave her the edge of having a perfect accuracy to knock out her opponent or get the upper hand in battle but on the brighter side, it helps her be the good doctor she is. (She can only look through bodies, everything else appears black or dark in this mode of vision)
Rae can also regenerate but only superficial wounds will be healed rapidly. The more she has to grow back the longer it takes and not everything can be fixed if destroyed which can lead to her death. If she were to cut off a finger it would take a few weeks to grow back and cut off an arm it would take years.
Has a love for plants of all kinds but usually only keeps medically helpful ones around.
Plays music here and there. Most say the instrument sounds like an electric violin, whatever that is.

Age:somewhere over 30 Berean years (about 26 human years). He lost count sometime after leaving Alpha Bereus when his watch stopped working.

Race: Berean (BEAR-ee-an)

Race Description: The Bereans are so named because they live on the planet Alpha Bereus, the first major planet orbiting the star Bereus, a red dwarf in the region of the galaxy that humans call the "Orion Sector." The Bereans are humanoid in form, bearing body structures and proportions that are identical to humans in almost every way save 3: 1) Bereans' ears taper to a slight, but noticeable point on the top; 2) Bereans have 7 digits on each of their hands and feet instead of humans' 5; and 3) most Bereans are short, measuring no more than 4 1/2 feet, though there is a small subset of "giant" Bereans that are always more than 6 feet tall. Genetic testing has revealed that these "giant" Bereans are of the same species as the diminutive, and more common, variety, but why some of them will grow to exceed 6 feet while most will never surpass 4 1/2 feet is still unknown. The Bereans are also known for being incredibly intelligent and very fast learners, their average IQ being approximately equivalent to 300 on the human scale. In spite of their incredible intelligence, the Bereans remained firmly planet-bound and technologically poor until their discovery by the Galactic Committee. Since then, Berean technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, and the Bereans have established 4 outposts in the 4 nearest systems. While technically part of the Galactic Committee, abiding by their rules, and benefiting from that association, Emperor Nerax has declared Alpha Bereus and all outposts of his people to be autonomous of the Committee, and his people will always owe their first allegiance to him or whoever will succeed him as emperor of the Bereans. The Bereans are also naturally immune to the seductive effects of Satasi pheromones, though why this is is not fully understood. Two popular theories exist, however. The first is that the Bereans' hyperactive learning centers in their brains simply require so much energy and oxygen that the brain cannot afford the energy to spend on pheromone-induced infatuation and that if a Berean of more human-level intelligence were to encounter a Satasi, he or she would fall prey to the seductive effects of the alien's pheromones. The second, slightly more popular theory is that Berean brains simply do not have the receptors to properly respond to Satasi pheromones. More study is needed, but most Bereans are not willing to donate their brains to such an endeavor.

Appearance: Valanx is on the tall side of average height for his race, measuring almost exactly 4 feet, 6 inches in height with auburn hair that he keeps pulled back behind his pointed ears and cut just past the base of his skull. His eyes are an intense violet color, and his skin is a creamy off-white color. With the exceptions of his pointy ears and extra digits, one could almost mistake him for a dwarf human.

Role in Team?: Science Officer

Bio: Valanx grew up in a comfortable, but little acknowledged family on Alpha Bereus. His parents performed vital, but well supplied jobs in the Third Quadrant outside the Capitol that nonetheless earned them enough to supply for all their needs while never being able to earn enough for a life of luxury. Bored with ordinary life, when Valanx reached "the Age of Decision" (22 Berean years, just less than 15 Earth years), he chose to join the Galactic Committee's Interstellar Exploration Fleet, becoming the first Berean to actively work within the Committee. Valanx knew of the dangers associated with joining the IEF, but his lust for adventure was greater than his fear of danger. Due to his naturally impressive IQ, Valanx excelled in the IEF training program, showing an early aptitude for science, particularly in integrated planetary geology and biology, making him a valuable science officer for the Fleet. He has been a part of the Marauders for the past five Earth years and has been instrumental in discovering ten new planets that are likely to support life (and determining what type of life they are likely to support), including the probable home planet or planetary outpost of the Ulnar.

Personality: Valanx has always had a thirst for adventure, which is why he joined the IEF at the earliest opportunity, but while his eagerness to join what many believe to be a suicide mission may leave some to think of him as reckless, he is not stupid and makes sure he has something to defend himself with should the need arise. He is also fiercely loyal, first to his Emperor and his people like any good Berean, but his crew and his friends are a very close second. He is not given to outward displays of emotion, and his social skills are not always the best due to his penchant for burying himself in science, but he does his job well and has proved his worth as a member of the Marauders.

Weapon(s) : Valanx carries a simple blaster and a short saber for protection in most situations, but will often put them aside when he's working in the lab (they get in the way, and having a blaster accidentally go off in the lab would be a very bad thing).

Family/Relationship?: Valanx still keeps in touch with his parents when possible, and his position as one of the few Bereans to actually work for the Committee has earned him the ear of Emperor Nerax who seems to view him as something of a liaison between Alpha Bereus and the Committee, though the Committee does not have the same idea (most of the Committee probably don't even know Valanx exists, and most of the ones that do know of him probably only know him as "that short guy from the Marauders").

This is a type of AI developed by the Yhei, making them nearly perfect in mimicking sentient behavior, and being able to hold conversations with others, while maintaining the safety of obeying handler commands. The military programming from the Tu'Veeri make these droids extremely efficient in battle having all tactical knowledge of the Tu'Veeri, and being able to learn and improvise thanks to the AI side.

This group is a droids tasked with overseeing the events and crew of the Monroe. Their handler is the Security Officer on board, Aamra Tulez, and will be under her command. They are allowed to follow the orders of the captain and request of others, but only so far.

Bio:
The group were activated together, as usual with such groups of AI soldiers, and were subject to two years of programming and behavioral training. After that was three years of rigorous programming and military training to ensure at least a 98% proficiency rate is combat simulations. For eight years they were put into active duty in various places throughout, these comprised of boarder guard, escort, riot control, and sometimes active fighting against various warring factions. Most recently they were pulled from the field and told they would be reassigned to a new project known as the IEP. Being droids of the committee they had no thoughts one way or the other, but having developed AI personalities over the course of eight years They had lots to say when not in the presence of higher command.

Personality:
For the most part they act as you would expect any soldier would clean cut, stoic, and follows orders. The responses they give however do not always follow what you would expect from a robot. Since they are of such a new line of droids most people are taken off guard when they ask something like "How's it feel to be a committee dog?" thinking a droid wouldn't respond and the droid gets down on all four and begins barking at it comrades, or it says something sharp and witty back. The group seems to act more like sentient beings to each other rather than to people, that is until they get comfortable.

Weapon(s) :
Being Droids they don't get a choice of weapons, and therefore have nothing beyond standard issue gear.
