Alright, here's my app. Sorry if it's too long, and also sorry if it sucks. And also that it's kind of overpowered...
You know what, I'm just sorry in general. Remember though, the avengers have Thor, who's way more powerful than him, so it's not too bad at least. Well, you know, comparatively...

Name:
Galbana, the Lunar Sage
Age:
Somewhere between ten and eleven thousand years old, although he was in a state of hibernation for most of it.
Affiliation:
Hero? Probably?
Appearance:
Costume:
Just what he’s wearing in the image. He doesn’t really have a secret identity or anything like that.
Powers:
Galbana is the Lunar Sage, a humanoid embodiment of the moon itself. His powers revolve around him absorbing energy from it and storing it for his own use. As such, while on earth, his powers are dependent on the phases of the moon. Whether it is waxing or waning makes no difference, it is merely affected by how much is visible. It also seems to have left him immortal, although he probably hasn't made as good use of that as he should have.
New Moon (Galbana):
During the new moon, Galbana is essentially a strong, athletic human. Not even olympian either, just a bit more physically capable than average. He can release small blasts from his staff, Baal-hamon, and wand, Elatha, depending on how much moonlight he has stored within him, but that’s about it.
Crescent (Galbana Mani):
In the form of Galbana Mani, Galbana begins to access the power of his Moonlit form once more, starting with the ability to use his aura. This aura is created purely from moonlight he absorbs, and grants him enhanced physical abilities. He can move extraordinarily fast, and has strength on par with that of olympian weightlifters. However, he is still just as susceptible to injury as anyone else, and although he can technically move fast enough to avoid or defend against most attacks, it is still very difficult to do so.
Quarter (Galbana Avatea):
In the form of Galbana Avatea, Galbana gains the ability to form small, phantasmal constructs out of moonlight. However, it is impossible for it to extend past his body, staff or wand, and therefore must be in contact with one of them. Still, this allows him to utilize his two signature weapons. The first is the Elatha Losna, a blade of light that forms at the end of Elatha to create a sword, and Baal Achelois, a crescent blade that extends from the end of Baal-hamon to form an imposing scythe of silver light. It is also the form that begins to offer his aura some form of defensive capabilities, creating a light field of shock absorbing energy within it. It won’t stop anything too powerful, like bullets, but punches, kicks, and close range weaponry from your average thug won’t break through.
Gibbous (Galbana Tsukuyomi):
It is the form of Galbana Tsukuyomi that truly gives weight to his arrogant attitude, as it strengthens all of the powers granted by his previous forms. The strength, speed, and shock absorption provided by his aura become far greater in magnitude, and he can create constructs beyond the reach of his staff. His control of them is limited, however.
Full (Galbana Sin):
Galbana Sin, the final form of the Lunar Sage. For a single night, Galbana regains the power he held during his time on the celestial body. His aura ceases to be a mere aura, instead taking the form of a large, white shroud that is near impenetrable by most weaponry, and resembles the pelt of a wolf. Baal Achelois and Elatha Losna evolve too, growing in size and intensity to become Baal Artume and Elatha Luna, weapons so bright that it is impossible even to see through. His control over his other constructs is greatly increased as well. Finally, he gains his most devastating power, Lunar Wind, granting him the ability to fly on a wind of silver light, and wield it against his enemies. It is even said that, at times, the figure of a great white wolf can be seen in the winds.
Strengths:
Outside of his powers, Galbana doesn't really have too many strengths. Probably the best he can achieve is his ability to provoke his enemies into making bad decisions by talking down to them like a condescending asshole. Well, that and he's pretty good at absorbing information quickly, assuming he can focus on it without distractions.
Weaknesses:
When not reflected off the moon, ultraviolet light greatly destabilises his powers, either sending them spiralling out of control or nullifying them all together. Most commonly, it will essentially revert him to the level he is during a new moon.
He is also extremely curious about humanity, and while not stupid by any means, can sometimes be drawn into situations he even knows are traps if they're baited with something that catches his interest enough.
Personality:
The first time someone meets Galbana, they would likely come to the conclusion that he's an arrogant dick, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong either. Due to his existence as a being who is almost entirely inhuman at this point, he has come to look down on the species he used to belong to, seeing them as beneath him. However, unlike many 'demigods', Galbana is not offended by humanity's existence so much as he is amused by them. He will often talk down to them, but he will readily admit that he finds them quite interesting, and at times even admirable!
In addition, as a being who has watched over them for millennia, Galbana feels a great sense of protectiveness to the species, as well as the Earth in general. It is similar to the feelings of an elder sibling, who despite looking and talking down to the younger, will readily defend them from others.
Bio/History:
Galbana doesn't really remember the year he was born, the thousands of years he spent as the soul of the moon itself whittling away at much of his early years. As a rough estimate though, he'd say it was somewhere between nine and eight thousand BC. He remembers his clan though. As nomads, they traveled through the forests of... Well, he doesn't remember which continent it was, but those forests... He remembers they were beautiful. From a young age, he was being trained to take over as the clans shaman, as his peculiar red eyes were present even then, and were seen by the rest of his people as a sign of great mystical ability.
As it turns out, they were correct, as one day while out gathering supplies for his teacher, he came into contact with a massive, white-furred wolf.
A wolf with red eyes.
For a moment, he was afraid of the beast. However, he quickly noticed he felt an urge to approach it. As soon as he touched the wolf, his eyes shut as result of the odd calm that had suddenly overcome him, he understood everything. This was no mere animal, this was a spirit. More than that, it was a spirit of the moon itself. Upon opening his eyes once more, the wolf was nowhere to be seen. Inside however, Galbana knew that it had not merely vanished, but become a part of him to such an extent that the two could never be separated. This was only confirmed when he looked into a nearby reflection, seeing that his formerly brown hair had turned a stark white.
After that, Galbana returned to his clan. During his time with them, he learnt of his new abilities, and trained with them. Thanks to the advice of his mentor, the elderly woman who currently serves as the clan shaman, he was able to gain a level of control with his powers that he never would have achieved on his own. However, when he was twenty, he noticed something odd.
He wasn't growing older.
This continued long after he became shaman and created Baal-hamon and Elatha, and even after members of his clan began to age and die around him. Eventually, after about one hundred years, he found himself alone, each and every member of his clan either leaving or dying until he was the last one left. For two more years, he wandered the world, grieving for his clan. However, at the end of these two years, he felt an odd compulsion, one he had not felt since he was first drawn to the wolf, and found no reason not to follow it.
The compulsion led him across the land, far from the forests he'd called home. He traveled for days and nights at a time, his powers allowing him to forge ahead despite his fatigue while the moon was strong. Eventually, it led him into the mountains, one of which may very well have been the largest he'd ever seen. Without his powers, Galbana knew it would be impossible to scale such a large, perilous mountain. However, after three weeks of climbing, he finally made it to the top, finding a sky full of more stars than he'd ever seen in his life. And there, right in the middle, was the full moon, shining on him like a great spotlight. Suddenly, despite having not revealed itself since their first meeting, Galbana noticed the wolf standing alongside him, and before he knew it, the moon he had previously been looking at was the Earth, and the snow around him had been replaced by vast plains of bare rock.
And Galbana, content, closed his eyes.
For thousands of years, Galbana sat in a state of semi-hibernation, his body asleep, but his mind somehow still awake as the will of the moon. From his position, he looked down on the earth, peacefully observing it in a state of near mindless calm. However, a mere month ago, Galbana awoke inside his body once more. Believing that his awakening must mean he was required on earth, he used the lunar wind to carry himself down to the planet. However, he mistimed his descent, and nearly killed himself landing on the day of a waning quarter moon. Thankfully, he managed to avoid harm with his powers, but it was a very close call.
Extra:
While he is extremely interested in history, the aspect of humanity's cultural evolution that has intrigued him the most is food and cooking, which has changed enormously since his ascendance.
