Name:
Elise Kimble
Alias:
Persuader
Age:
19
Powers/Drawbacks:
Elise boasts no typical super powers, or metahuman traits. Despite being a skilled fighter, Elise still very much suffers from the same weaknesses and shortcomings as any non-powered individual. Regardless of how outwardly cordial she may seem, Elise is a very misstrusting person, and rarely forms intimate bonds, which in turn makes her untrustworthy, and often causes others to be overly suspicious of her.
Skills:
Miss Kimble is a well-trained, and lethal individual, being able to fight toe-to-toe with most non-powered adversaries. Her greatest weapon, however, is the highly-advanced Atomic Axe which she wields. This state-of-the-art armament can cut through almost any material, and is a mighty boon in battle. The axe also possess an isomorphic lure, which allows Elise to “call” the Axe through the air, and towards her, at least over relatively short distances.
Bio:
“Dad didn’t leave me with much, the stingy bastard, but he did teach me how to fight. That was his greatest gift to me, up until the day he finally decided to lay down and die. I’m like him in more ways than I’m comfortable with, but I am not a monster. I hurt people, yes, but I make a point of hurting bad people.
I’m a weapon; just point me in the right direction, and I’ll take care of the rest.”
- Elise Kimble, the Persuader.
Cole Parker, AKA “Persuader”, was one of the most ruthless, and reviled enforcers in all of the United Kingdom. He was bloodlust and clinical efficiency given human form; a killer of the highest caliber, who was employed by crime syndicates beyond counting to “persuade” poor unfortunate souls into conducting whatever vial schemes they had in mind. When negotiations fell through, or a particularly bothersome person of interest refused to play ball, Cole was also sent into to clean house; quickly raking up an abnormally large kill count. Once Parker had been in the game long enough, his employers even commissioned a clandestine operation to forge the Persuader a dreadfully powerful weapon: The Atomic Axe.
Everything about Cole Parker involved merciless expertise, and a love for violence.
When Parker discovered that a short-term girlfriend was pregnant with twins, he waited until the children were born, before snatching away his fresh off-spring, and selling their mother on to human traffickers.
Two children were born to Cole Parker; Ethan and Elise, one boy, and one girl. From a young age, Cole relentlessly groomed Ethan to be his protégé, whereas he kept Elise around more out of amusement and genuine curiosity than anything else. It quickly became apparent that Elise had the drive and cold-blooded nature that Ethan was lacking, but Cole refused to let a woman inherit his mantle. Nevertheless, Elise was always about to observe Ethan’s lessons with her father, and as the years blinked by, she began to develop all the skills she needed to become a killing machine.
Where Elise was vicious, Ethan was kind. Where Elise was a warrior, Ethan simply wanted to help others. Where Elise excelled, Ethan lagged behind.
Despite being polar opposites, the two Parker siblings loved each other very deeply, and remained close well into their young adult lives.
One day, in a fit of rage, as disappointment and indignation overwhelmed him, Cole Parker lashed out at his son during a training session; savagely killing his only son, in cold blood.
When his back was turned, Elise ran her father through, and left him to bleed out alongside Ethan. Her brother’s death was a wake up call for Elise, who soon left Great Britain, at the young age of 17, and headed to the States. In the US, Elise used the skills that her father had unwittingly taught her to protect the weak, and help others, just as she thought Ethan would have wanted.
After a few years fighting crime, Elise has earned herself a reputation for doing good, which is how she wound up in the Teen Titans.
