Emily treaded over to Alex and Des. "Man, that was brutal, wasn' it?" She comments as she makes her way over to the duo. "Gotta say, nice to know someone else 'round here has guts o' steel. Still, th' wrath o' Kacey ain't worth it 'Alf th' time. Sometimes it best to walk away an' jus' leave 'er t' 'er own devices, y'know?" She states. "I ain't gonna lie Des, I ain't your biggest fan but your guts is admirable," she gives him a firm pat on the shoulder. She then turns to Alex, "An' if you know th' women of th' group you'd know it ain't hard t' be slapped 'round 'ere," she says with a chuckle, finding pleasure in the memory of the time she had given Alex a good whack in the face herself, not that she could remember her motive for it now.

Emily turned in the direction Kasey had taken off in. Should she chase her down? Emily shook her head, answering her own question. Kacey looked rather... strung at this point, Emily figured she want to be alone. Besides, it wasn't worth the risk of being on the receiving end of an outburst. "M' best advice? Leave 'er alone while you can. 'Er sister too, it ain't worth it. I mean, I ain't your fan but she really doesn' like ya. If y'don't like 'ow she runs things, leave,"

A smirk continued to tug at the corner of Angel's mouth as Céline responded to his questions. He was a little surprised to find himself slightly disappointed that the response wasn't particularly, well... surprising. Especially considering he lacked any sort of expectations. He crossed his arms over his chest and turned to look towards the rest of the camp when Céline turned the question towards him instead. Secrets? Plenty. Ones a young lady such as her should be wary of? Still plenty, but she'd likely garner some of her own if she stuck around this sort of group long enough. He considered sharing one that wasn't entirely horrifying before deciding most of them would likely be horrifying to her. He settled to be sly by saying:
"You'll have no reason to be wary of me." He punctuated the statement with a playful wink and a toothy smile.

Deciding it best to avoid any odd looks from her, as all this could easily have been perceived as awfully presumptuous by him, Angel looked down at the ground instead. He nodded to himself before continuing:
"In case I haven't introduced myself before, it is entirely possible that I simply forgot we had met before, the utter fool that I am... My name is Rafael. But my friends call me Angel." He smiled, not as broadly as before, and reached out his hand towards Céline in greeting.

The rise and fall of the dispute unfolded in front of Laura and she felt helpless to do anything about it. Then, just like that, it was over. Kacey and Des went their separate ways and the tension in the air began to fade. This argument had obviously drawn the attention of everyone in the gang. With a frustrated sigh she watched Kacey leave and knew it was likely best to give her some time to cool off. Des had his sister and the attention of a few others, she doubted her presence was needed there either. At a loss for what to do, and frustrated with her inability to help, she decided to return to her area of the camp.

After putting her rifle away she sat and watched the various members. Kacey had gone off to who knows where, Maverick had said he'd be up at the ridge, and everyone else was scattered around camp taking part in various conversations. Not wanting to spend her time sitting on her butt she decided to saddle up and take a brief ride around. Keep an eye out for Kacey along her way.

Having ridden for some time around the edges of what could be considered their territory she was now making her way up the ridge and could see Maverick up ahead. "Hey" she called out to him. "Have you seen Kacey?" She asked as she drew closer. By this point she had some time to breathe from the ordeal and was feeling much more calm about everything, but was still worried about her sister and the strength of the group as a whole.

Kacey had stalked straight over to Pegs, tacked her up, and bolted off up the mountain they were camping next to. Normally, Kacey stayed nar the camp after a blow up like that, but she very seriously doubted anyone wanted to be around her right then, and she didn't really want to be around any of them either.

As she neared a creek, which likely ran into the one running through their camp, the woman dismounted and let the horse graze a bit while she climbed up onto a boulder to sit. Yet again, images of the argument flashed through her mind. Not of Des, but of the people around them, and how they had seemed genuinely worried that Kacey intended to shoot the young man. Was she really that much of a tyrant? There had always been a thin line that Kacey walked on, one of being respected as a leader, or of being feared as a master with an iron fist. Kacey feared she had crossed over the line.

"Maybe I should just retire. Let Mave take over for a while. Yeah, that'd go over real well," She snorted at the thought, shaking her head with a sigh.
