@Darked13 All g. Also hit us up with your WIP if you've got one.

@Lazo Chuck your master profile in here to find a pal.

Okay. Here is the character I submitted, a Spaniard mage from a declining noble family.

It looks like Master profiles won't be kept secret like Servant profiles, so go ahead and take a look. From what I understand, Saber (@XmasForJuan), Lancer (@Reflection), Rider (@Burst) or Assassin (@CarbinatedDream) could use a Master. If any of you think your own character could play well off a character like this, let me know.

Interesting idea for a Master, and while he seems like a fun fellow to follow around on his shenanigans, I'm afraid my Saber is the picky type in regards to their Master, so I'll leave the choice up to random selection for now as to not resolve any potential conflict/friendships myself.

Oh, and a quick comment about your OC's Second Joker card, a field negating any and all magecraft while also acting as a numbing agent against Magic Circuits that lasts for several hours is a feat eclipsing the strength of Adra Castle, an entire building constructed to function as a mage's personal workshop capable of suppressing the magecraft of those within. That being said, a Workshop's main function isn't to crush or negate the magecraft of others as that is more of a secondary effect, and we've also seen cases of substances that can inhibit Magic Circuits upon contact, so I'm guessing such a powerful Mystic Code just might exist. It is highly specialized after all and only works for an instant. It is a scary trump card indeed, though it seems you've taken care to balance it appropriately.

By the way, just in case I came across as such, I don't really intend to scrutinize the ability, I actually think it's pretty sweet. It gives your OC the chance to reset the conditions of the battlefield and force everyone to calm down by de-powering all parties involved. It makes for a great show-stopper at a climactic moment while not granting him too overwhelming of an advantage since he'll be caught up in the effect as well. It's pretty neat.
That, and I'm a sucker for discussing abilities and powers, so please don't mind me fangasming... xD

@XmasForJuan No worries. I was actually curious about how people would react to the Jokers. They are supposed to be wild cards that could drastically upset a given situation, but getting them to be useful to that degree without being absurdly busted took some thinking. I am willing to listen if you think they need further adjustments though.

Meh, I think you're fine for the most most part in my opinion. Like I said, none of what you described is outlandish, just rarely seen. In the case of the first Joker, we've had cases of Phantasmal Beasts and/or their remainders remaining in this world so the possession of a feather wouldn't be impossible, but it goes without saying that it is a priceless artifact. Though in the case of Servants... saving a human who is near-death I can see, but I'm not all that sure how much such healing abilities would help when faced with the fractured Spiritual Core of a Servant. Seeing as they're not beings of flesh and blood, they're entire existences are built upon the Spiritual Cores that are connected to their head and heart, so I doubt they could recover from such injuries. Any other injuries should be easily healed by an artifact of such power however ^^

In regards to the second Joker, I'm assuming the ability to temporarily disable Magic Circuits is less of an alchemic poison like the one used by the members of Zugzwang, and more of an ability to force them to "shut down" similar to a computer and forcing them to "reboot", hence explaining the few hours needed for the victim's Circuits to become operational again. They've been describes as both mechanical and organic several times in the series, so causing them to behave this way isn't too far-fetched, but the question is more of a "how" rather than a "is it possible". You mentioned that the first Joker was crafted from a Phoenix Feather, so mayhaps the second Joker could have been crafted from materials harvested from a Succubus, Alp (from German folklore), or Kanashibari (from Japanese folklore), all of which are known to be associated with sleep paralysis or other inhibiting phenomena of some kind. The fact that the card contains traces of these Phantasmal Beasts would explain its powerful effects, seeing as you mentioned it even affects Servants to some degree, and since you've already gotten ahold of a Phoenix Feather, one more monster part wouldn't hurt, eh? xD

I'm gonna expose myself and say that I don't recall watching or reading of stuff that shut off circuits in Fate (unless we count a certain Shroud in HF), but I've mostly stuck to the original VN, ataraxia and extra. The idea was to have a key component to explain the potency of the Jokers (and explain why they are so 'irreplaceable'), but I didn't have anything specific to this series in mind for the second one.

I was originally working off the idea of Otataral, an ore in a different setting, and the explanation I had planned for that one if asked IC was mostly to reference that as a nod to that series, the use of a rare, poorly understood mineral that had the strange property of negating magic. It is implied that it did this by eating it, as though magical energy just suddenly slipped into a black hole when activated under its area of influence. In that particular setting that ore could have long-term, sometimes permanent effects on people who were exposed to it (such as by rubbing Otataral dust over their bodies), the most typical of which was the person acquiring the same magic-deadening properties as the ore.

Now, because I don't want to permanently cripple all the mages in a setting by blowing dust on them, let's assume this is a made-up version for convenience and say any effects of a device taking advantage of this are only temporary.

Oh, no need to go as far as to say that you're exposing yourself, this merely means that I've wasted way too much of my time on Fate-related content~

But yeah, the poison I was referring to was actually mentioned in a short-story aptly named Zugzwang, included in the 10th Volume of Type-Moon Ace, which details the exploits of en elite unit called Zugzwang in the /Apocrypha Universe. After looking for the quote I actually realized that the poison only hindered the production of its victim's Magic Circuits, not completely numb them, so I made a blunder by misremembering that fact >.<
They appeared in the /Strange Fake novels too, but the quote in question comes from the /Apocrypha short-story in which they are slaughtered by Assassin of Black shortly after she was summoned by Rikudou Reika. It's more or less a prequel to the events of the main series, though solely relevant to the Rikudou Reika and Assassin of Black.

A man with a black-coated dagger and blowpipe in his hands spoke. The dagger and the darts of the blowpipe had paralysis poison coated on them. This poison, made for use against magi, did affected not only the body, but also someone’s Magic Circuits, and though it didn’t completely stop them, it did remarkably slow down their ability to weave spells.

In any case, it's interesting to hear where you drew inspiration from in regards to your ability, and I think it's fine the way it is since it isn't really game-breaking and doesn't conflict with anything in-universe as far as I'm aware, but my memory is spotty so take that with a grain of salt T.T
So yeah, like I said, I'm actually a fan of the concept behind those abilities of yours, so my mind went a bit wild to neatly fit them into the Fate Universe, which is why I prattled on an on about the mechanics and functionality, but that was just on my own personal whim. I like discussions like these, so I could quite help myself, my bad xP

But well, in the end it's up to the Mods to decide.

Due to RL (and the fact that I'm already in 2 RPs too many), I don't think I'll have the time to participate in this RP. So am freeing my slot as Berserker.

Hmm, sad to see you go before the RP had the chance to get off its feet.
Oh, I might actually use this opportunity to say that I'd be fine giving up my Saber spot to any potential newcomers if they're interested. I realize it's a coveted spot after all, so I'm fine with filling the Berserker slot (or any slot really) if someone wants to submit a Saber~

I have Lancer, and my Master character is currently int he works. I'd be willing to discuss him more once he gets further along.

As for my Lancer, I'm open to pretty much anybody who wants an easy to use servant that doesn't require a lot of mana.

Okay, talked some with Crimmy and I changed the second Joker in the set after he told me an AoE magic negate was a no-go. A bit sad about that. Could have developed into some fun stuff if it also interfered with Command Spells, but that's that.

I don't really know about which servant to go with. Can't have details on them before being paired without spoiling part of the game for me after all. I guess making a Berserker could be an option now, but I kind of like the idea of playing as partner with another player. Plus, the traditionally violently insane Berserker could be kind of boring to play, so I may need some time to think of a good twist that may play well with this character if it looks like I need to go that way.

@Reflection, you said you're working on a Master character. Would you prefer to have your own, or would you prefer another player to play that part? Same question to @Burst and @CarbinatedDream, actually.

I. Think it would be more fun if someone else were to to play the master. That said i can also make my own if not an option. When it comes to Rider, a female companion would be optimal and preferred for her, but a male one is also viable. Ricardo in particular does not match the criteria personality wise however. Someone like 4th war Waver who's not confident to take the lead or who can be flexible and willing to break rules (and give praise) like Kairi from apocrypha war would be best.

Although... Ricardo's goals could share some affinity with Rider, so if there is not a more compatible servant out there for him, Rider could take the mantle.

Same as well, I have a master in the making for another pair. As for a pairing between Ricardo and my Assassin, I think they would clash in some places here and there with the ideals and mindset that she has. Still if you are interested in Assassin, I'll give you a few tidbits via private messages.

Sorry for all the ambiguity. Feel like there are a bunch of Master characters hovering in a state between existence and non-existence because of my indecision.

I'll have a decision ready tomorrow. I'll PM someone then and hopefully figure something out.

Also we have the OOC finished up, so gonna ask: you guys want to move over to one or stick in here for now?
