Defeated the Slaying God – On a remote planet, hidden in an ancient temple, there is a trial that aspiring warriors can undertake. The temple is a shrine, built to memorialise a group of six heroes who long ago fought to defeat a great and power Black Beast. By praying at the altars of these heroes it is possible to summon their spirit and fight against them in single combat; by defeating them, and proving yourself worthy, they will grant you the weapons they were famed for using.

Artorigus visited this temple and he prayed at the altar of the Slaying God Hakumen, a faceless swordsman in pure white armour wielding a sword that made all ranged weapons useless. Facing the warrior in single combat Artorigus fought for hours, using a variety of weapons and nearly dying a dozen times or more, and was finally able to defeat the Slaying God. In return for his efforts he was granted the Slaying Demon: Okami, the unique artefact wielded by the Slaying God.

Winner of the Shining Sword tournament – Before joining the Spectres of the Apocalypse, Artorigus took part in a rather novel tournament arranged by a number of players who were looking for a little sport. The only rules were that the only weapons allowed were swords and that the fight wasn’t over until the opponent submitted or died; everything else was permitted. Using unique artefact Slaying Demon: Okami, the sword he had recently acquired from a quest, Artorigus quickly advanced to the final rounds of the tournament; upon seeing his opponents it quickly became apparent that he wasn’t the only person using a unique artefact nor was he the only person who knew how to use one. It was here that things became tricky.

His final and most notable opponent was the wielder of the Moonlight Greatsword, a unique artefact capable of firing magical blasts through heavy swings of the blade. The match-up was favourable for Artorigus, a projectile firing sword versus a sword that negates projectiles, but it was still a very difficult fight that he only barely managed to win when his opponents surrendered moments before being decapitated.

Artorigus collected his reward, a money pot added to by all competitors, and his useless title and left. He was approached by the Spectres of the Apocalypse soon after and asked to join.

Other notable facts: Artorigus is aiming to become a melee weapon specialist and is always seeking to acquire more melee Artefacts.
