Character Name: Marius
Time of Day: Early Morn
Location: Dormitory Common Room
Interacting with: Brandon@Avant; Mama Tiana@Stitches; Anyu @TaliPaendrag Rahele @Moyai

The Dwarf was met with the same studying glare as the other students. Even the portion about the torture seemed to be met with only a wide yellow brown eye stare as he approached, leaning over to get a little towards the dwarfs level. The mannerisms did make Marius' eyes twitch and farrow before he stood back up, looking away and sighing. "Need more information." He crossed his arms and shoke his head.

He then went back to the dwarf smiling when Tiana stated that he was going to be ignored for his flaggrant abuse of the fine portal that lead to their home. He smiled smugly. "Fate is with me again it seems." He looked up, rubbing a finger along his bandaged cheek. "Although, to handle such punishments whilst already injured I'm sure will be the worst kind of pain. I might need that toughness for the trials ahead. Will I need to resist torture? My tale will be of such tragedies." He wiped the hairs from his face before turning, no longer having any need of being with the two professors.

He cast a glance over his shoulder as the gnome professor spoke. Maybe the dwarf was one too considering age and how familiar they both were. He looked over his shoulder listening as he went to a standing position near the small Enuri. While studying each of the people in the room, Marius did notice the snow falling from her and generally how meek she looked. Meek and naturally tiny like a child. She was almost trembling. Marius wondered if it was something he did. In any case, it was a good place to stand for the lecture, plus he needed to study her more closely. No, just by observation alone he couldn't determine if they fitted his plan. He needed to talk to them.

He couldnt continue his journey until he knew where they all stood.

Getting near the Enuri, he noticed the chill which he had to admit was welcomed. The bandages made him a little warm. He noticed a flake infront of his face, and then took a step on a patch of ice. He made a little bit of a yelp as he sliped, his shoes not making contact with the carpet anymore, thankfully he was able to steady himself on the wall. He froze for a second before he spun back around, acting as if nothing was wrong standing next to the girl half his height.

The human in the room, having remained quite quiet in the face of chaos has then come along to do away with the spell. Marius moved himself to allow her cast the spell, taking note that he guessed other magic had their uses. Mopping up rugs it seemed. He was reaffirmed that he picked the right schools of magic. He made a little bemused hmph before smuggly smiling. He was going to have to study her too but she asked Tiana a fair question that was also on his mind.

Still before it could be answered, Madamae Professor Mama Tiana called his name. He stood at attention putting a fist to his chest, belting it out. "THE PHOENIX DAWN IS HERE!" He responded, his voice unnecessarily loud and full of bombastic decree before lowering his hand. He tried to get the other names, but he only gave them half a mind to remember. It wasn't guaranteed that they were heroes.

When the call was done, Marius stated the requirements out loud to himself. "Get supplies. Get Uniforms. Eat. Unpack. Classes." He nodded with a smile, affirmed in his goals. And then he turned his attention to Anyu. "Enuri girl." He said, again not picking up her name even though he might have been nearby when Tiana gave the role call. Marius' yellow brown eyes studying her again. "Do you want to help people?" He asked suddenly, a very strange question- half listening to what the Madame Professor would answer for the human girl (Again he didnt get her name). He intended to use it as a way of breaking the ice.

Orky nodded and listened to the gnome, who apparently was a teacher. She discussed how no magic was allowed outside of the classroom, Orky had already broken that rule but no one seemed to notice so he was relieved. When the she started call roll Orky made sure to take a mental note of all the names of his fellow classmates. Orky was baffled to find out that mummy was in fact a student named Marius. But when he was called he beat his chest to make his presence known to her. Orky concluded that the ones who werent there were the ones in the kitchen. After roll had formally finished he didnt wait to hear the part about the cafeteria, because he was already on the way to meet with his new friend Willow. But he decided to make a detour by the cafeteria and pick up meal. Orky had order a very rare 60oz steak, some could say mooing could still be heard from it. With that now he headed to the kitchen to eat with Willow

He made it to the kitchen where Willow still stood cooking aswell as the other enuri who he was talking along with a...Tosuri? Orky didnt know they still existed, but Orky wasnt one to judge any race so he wasnt really bothered by it. He went into the kitchen and gave Willow a good hard slap on the back, while letting the smushed garlic down on the counter. "Willow, I believe your name is, my friend, let is ease your heart to know that the mummy threat has been taken care of. Turns out it was actually a student." Orky let out a hearty laugh. He then took a seat at the table with his steak splashing a little juice on it. "Please everyone take a seat Ms. Lhuna and Mr or Ms. Tosuri. I hate to eat alone." Orky then started to chow down on his large steak, like a wolf who hadn't eaten for days. He had a meat juice and blood mix all over his face and shirt.

Character Name: Sylvanna Teledar
Time of Day: Early morning
Location: Dormitory
Interacting with: @Avant Brandon

Things only got funnier as events evolved for Sylvie. Apparently the bandage boy thought she was a mummy. Then he started talking about armies and retainers. Did he seriously think everyone here had come to serve him? This guy was a riot! Then he suddenly collapsed to his knees. He seriously thought he was under assault from a demon, only for Mama Tiana to turn out to be the instigator. Sylvie lamented the fact that bandage boy didn't have the opportunity to attack Tiana before being restrained. Not that she reveled in people getting hurt, but she expected that he would have been restrained very easily by the better mage, and THAT would have been a sight to see!

The downer to all this was Tiana was going full fuddy-duddy and giving both bandage boy and the rest of them a thunderous lecture. Her laughter died down as the mirth left the situation. Only a short giggle or two left her lips as bandage boy mentioned thinking she was a mummy, and that he believed assassins were trying to ambush him. He even thought he was some kindof prophesied hero with a great destiny to meet. What a hoot! Sylvie was almost inclined to believe that he was actually a harlequin with a really convincing routine.

Eventually, Mama Tiana calmed everyone down in order to get on with the day. Not even Brandon's hilarious suggestions were able to stir things up again. Sylvie was quite disappointed. She unenthusiastically announced her presence when her moment came on the roll call. Once Tiana was done, however, Sylvie seized the opportunity to try and get things going again. As usual, it was better to get someone else to entertain her than to have to make her own entertainment, and to that end she hovered over Brandon's stocky form. "Brandon, Brandon, Brandon! Call bandage boy more silly names!" She usually hated it when people yelled at her, but Brandon was always full of funny words that made her day. Even better if he said them to someone else.

Thalia narrowed her eyes for a second as Willow stared at...something. Like there was a person there, or something. She brushed it off when he turned to face her, returning his gaze with a soft smile. His racial degeneracy comment piqued her interest; maybe he had a bad run-in with some Orcs at some point? It wouldn't be too far off from her own experience, anyway. "Yes, it's nice to meet you too," she said, taking a few steps further into the kitchen. It was surprisingly spacious, she noticed, though a communal kitchen probably needed to be. Lyka took a moment to sniff around the room, as she always did. Thalia was never sure if it was instinct, curiosity, or perhaps both. It didn't matter much though, they'd be living here after all.

Just then, someone else came into the room. He was something Thalia had never seen in her life: some kind of freaking cross between a person and a serpent. The hair on the back of her neck stood up as he entered, looking around the room with what she believed to be a predatory gaze. Is this guild full of things like this? she wondered, feeling herself tense slightly. His asking for live food sent chills up her spine. "Preferably? I would choose your words wisely," Thalia snapped, placing a protective hand in front of Lyka's face. Preferably, whatever he was would stay far away from her. That would be nice.

To make matters worse, the Orc decided to return to the kitchen. Thalia felt a very sudden urge to leave; even Lyka had her hackles raised, which was a pretty clear sign of distress. Still, Thalia needed to get along with these people, right?

Character Name: Brandon Argyle
Time of Day: Early Morning
Location: Dormitory
Interacting with: @Etranger @ShwiggityShwah @TaliPaendrag

Brandon silently accepted Tiana's judgement. Truthfully, he felt this Guild was being far too lenient with its initiates, but it was not his place to tell them how to run their own affairs. It was not the Dwarven way to second guess their superiors. The blustering boar's smugness did not go unnoticed by Brandon. To think he would have the nerve to gloat about the fact that Tiana had chosen to show him mercy. He was not only a vandal, but also an egotistical braggart with delusion of grandeur. The fact that he had no appreciation for the mercy shown to him was perhaps the greatest slight against Brandon's honour. Would that this man were among the Dwarves, he would be tarred and feathered and paraded through the streets for the people's entertainment.

He was spared the onset of a blistering rant by the fact Tiana did her best to bring order to the room. Had it not been for his respect for the hierarchy here, he would have given Marius a tongue lashing the likes of which were featured in bardic epics. Even as everyone said their names, he conjured up some fanciful appellation to describe himself with. Blatantly disruptive and self indulgent. He was the epitome of everything that offended proper society. As much as the bile was building up in his body, Brandon had not intended to pursue Marius at this point. There were better things to do in a day than chase around some dunderheaded dolt.

That was until he indirectly visited upon him yet another slight. The noisome Sun Elf Sylvanna came to pester him, determined to have him create a source of entertainment for her. He would never usually encourage her, but now he was quite irate, and she had proposed something that aligned with his interests. "Just this once, you barmy little bitty, I'm going to indulge you." He told her before heading off to intercept his newly found anathema. He found him bothering a diminutive student he had not laid eyes upon before. "Phoenix Dumb!" He barked at him. "Were you not aware it is the height of rudeness to refer to not even bother to learn someone's name properly? Let me give you an etiquette lesson, you troglodyte." He turned to Anyu as he finished. "Madame, would you grace me with the knowledge of your name?" He bowed slightly as he spoke. His intention was two fold. He could insult Phoenix Dumb at his leisure, and perhaps spare this small girl the indignity of having to converse in solitude with this obnoxious ogreling. Of note was the fact that the carpet was frosted and snowflakes seemed to have fallen about. Brandon paid it no heed for now, as he assumed it was just a byproduct of Phoenix Dumb's shenanigans.

Name: S’Hraa
Time of Day: Morning
Location: Kitchen
Interacting with: @Shard@CaptainMarvel@OrkytheOrc
----

S’Hraa quickly turned towards Thalia, annoyed by her remark and ascending to normal height and towering over her. He sized her up for a moment, considering something before speaking.

Preferably? Yes, preferably. You know what I resemble, right? A snake. A serpent. One of nature’s most deadly and feared predator and I did not come here to abandon my traditions and consume carrion like the lot of you. You see these fangs? S’hraa ranted, opening his maw. ”They don’t exist for chewing plants, they inject venom. The venom kills things and starts the digestive process. Kind of hard to consume something without veins spreading digestive enzymes. Finally, things get killed and get consumed. That is life, I’m sure the wolf you have killed a few rabbits before. Oh, and don’t worry. I’m not going to eat it because of the fur, as stated before and that you already laid your claim on it. I know my boundaries.”

Turning back to Willow and keeping a little more distance this time.

”The meat they sell in the market is not fresh enough for me. Like I said, I will have trouble digesting it unless I synthesize a compound to break the carapace apart. While I could create such a concoction it requires some rather dangerous ingredients that I doubt this guild will just hand over, assuming they have them that is. Either way, unless there is something around here suitable for my needs I think I’ll have to sneak over to the forest to satisfy my hunger.”

Right after finishing, S’Hraa sensed the green skin coming back. He turned towards the entrance before Orky could even be seen coming. Moments later Orky indeed came through with a large, bloody cut of meat. There’s that green skin, still covered in fear but it is faint. Whatever he was afraid of, it must have been settled. Good for the both of us, I doubt I can eat him anyway. Much too large, He’ll rot faster than I can digest. Plus, it is just embarrassing to have to vomit up your meal for being too large. The short one was unable to accommodate me, perhaps this green skin will know where I can find something fresh enough.

After staring at Orky for a moment, wondering why someone would eat something so little cooked like the others seemed to enjoy. Why not eat it raw? Or better yet alive? He responded to Orky.

“I apologize but I am not aware of your name, mine is S’Hraa. I would join you but I have not eaten in nearly a month and coming here has not procured the required sustenance. I need something alive. If you would happen to know where I can find something I would appreciate it, otherwise I will hunt in the forest for a suitable meal. Your welcome to join if you wish.”

Time of Day Early Morning
Location Dormitory Kitchens - Dormitory Corridor
Interacting with @CaptainMarvel@Lurking Shadow@OrkytheOrc

The kitchen was getting crowded, and fast. It was difficult to keep up with the massive comings and goings filtering through the doorway, but it was getting less comfortable by the moment. Given what the reptile had said, Willow could only offer a single return, his eyes turning to lay fixed upon the orc as he re-entered the room. "Then cut him into pieces..," the boy frowned, turning to the kettle before turning the fire off. Serendipity reared its lovely head towards the young sorcerer, given how he had finished making the meal now prepared for dinner. "This place is getting way too crowded, for me." Willow sighed as he muttered quietly, reaching for a small loaf of bread he had baked a day prior. The wonderful scent of newly baked bread in the morning was something very little could compare to, alas that was not the case this hour. Rather, as people were slipping into the kitchen, Willow took the chance to slip out. His slight frame and tiny size would surely aid in a stealthy escape, that tail being the last thing one would see of the little creature as he made himself scarce.

Dropping down on a bench in the corridor outside, Willow reached into his shoulder bag and produced a notebook. Those razor sharp teeth rowing his mouth easily bit into the loaf he had taken, a long, slender black haired tail gently resting on his lap as he rummaged after a pencil within the confines of his bag. "What a fucking circus," Blackmore stretched, placing his hands behind his head as he abruptly used Willow's lap as a pillow. "What's it gonna' take for you to off that orc, anyways'?"

"What good would that do?" Willow responded, one dainty clawed had on the bread loaf and another on the pen, working on a song he had begun writing earlier. ""Just ignore it, and it'll walk into a wall or something." The sorcerer finished, tracing his pen against the page of his book, writing out the words as they came to mind. Lately, he hadn't had much time to focus on his music. Blood Magic had confiscated the most of his free hours where he needed to master the various arts accredited to the form. Blood runes were powerful, but required precision and focus, both of which could be difficult, depending on what Blackmore was doing in the background. At times, the shade would help, assisting Willow as the boy's analytical thoughts were given flesh, in the form of his very own figment. Indeed, it was fair to say that Blackmore's behavior was affected by Willow's state of mind.

"Think anyone would care? Scales over there seems to be getting along with Green-Freak, just melt them both and call it an accident. Say it was the snake. Like, he poisoned the orc, and the orc fought back." Blackmore tapped his chin, thinking it over.

"And they both happened to die from necrosis? It's rather easy to see if it was me," Willow raised an eyebrow, looking down at the reflection resting upon his lap. "Stop with the killing talk. I have enough trouble controlling my powers, as is."

"Because you're trying to limit yourself. You're so fucking afraid of hurting others, that you end up crippling yourself." The shade added, "They way you made our captors fall apart? Hah! The fucking screams, dude. It was amazing, best thing ever." Blackmore finished, with a smirk. He wasn't wrong. Seeing those orcs withering away at a rapid pace, their skin blackening to the color of charcoal as cracked and fell apart with blood mixing into rotted meat, it brought a sense of satisfaction to the small Enuri. Poetic justice, they called it. What goes around, comes around. It only made sense.

Willow's internal powers, his ability to conjure and command necrotic energy as if second nature, it came at a price, one he was consistently paying. His slight frame, pale skin and scrawny shape weren't all attested to his species. Necromancy was powerful, but also dangerous. More so than the other forces of magic, due to its life-sapping nature. No matter how much Willow ate, no matter how much he trained, he would remain like this, pale and small. Divine energies burned like a crackling fire, and the darkness of Necromancy was more soothing than a siren's song. He'd be lying if the boy claimed to understand his nature. He did not, by any stretch of the imagination. The guild kept him under close watch, and maintained a strict set of rules for its students. The only thing Willow had been able to truly understand about his powers was that the bone colored energy caused an immense pain along with the biological devastation it brought. However, for him, the very same energy felt almost like silk as it coated his skin. It was a lovely sensation, as if running his hand through the softest fur. Truly a riddle, most of all for Willow himself.

Character Name: Anyu
Time of Day: Early morning
Location: The common room of the dormitory
Interacting with: Marius Sirvaki @ShwiggityShwah, Brandon Argyle @Avant

Anyu jumped and took a few steps back upon hearing a faint sound of distress from nearby, turning to see that the silver-haired woman from earlier had apparently sat down on the couch without Anyu noticing during all the commotion that had been going on. When she saw that the woman was just trying to keep the snowflakes from falling on her books and ruining them, Anyu felt a pang of guilt that caused her to squirm where she stood. ”Hopefully they’re okay,” Anyu thought, wringing her hands as the woman looked around. Though the silver-haired woman didn’t seem to be too upset at the moment, Anyu knew that she could have easily been hiding it like that large man from earlier had been.

The stern voice of the short woman who had just finished scolding Marius being directed at the group as a whole kept Anyu from worrying about it too much, however. Anyu figured that it was probably more important at the moment to listen to the matronly woman, who introduced herself as Tiana. She certainly didn’t seem like the sort of woman that would be happy with having to repeat herself, and Anyu definitely wanted to avoid giving the stern woman another possible reason to be upset with her.

While Tiana had been speaking, Anyu had noticed Marius walking towards her and glancing over his shoulder at Tiana. Afraid that moving away from the spot would attract more attention or anger the fiery-headed man, Anyu remained where she was standing and tried to listen to Tiana’s speech as best she could. Fortunately, despite being distracted by Marius and confused by a number of the words and phrases that Tiana used, Anyu was able to get the gist of her speech. ”At least I won’t get in trouble for that,” Anyu thought with a mental sigh of relief at her small success.

As Tiana began the roll call, Marius let out a little yelp that caused Anyu to flinch again while turning to see that he had almost slipped on the icy carpet. Once he had recovered, he turned to face Tiana, standing too close for Anyu’s comfort as he listened for his own name in the roll call and cast a smug look at the silver-haired woman for some reason. Seeing that Marius wasn’t particularly paying attention to her at the moment despite how close he was, Anyu took the opportunity to take a couple of steps away from him in order to put a more comfortable distance between them.

Moments later, Tiana called Marius’s name from the book she in front of her. Anyu jerked away sharply at the fiery boy’s booming shout of a response, the air around her chilling sharply as she eyed him cautiously. Before she could really think about why Marius had decided to yell, she heard Tiana read her name from the list. Uncertain of what the proper procedure was for responding, Anyu figured that it would probably be okay to emulate Marius’s response. He hadn’t gotten in trouble after all. ”H-Here,” Anyu responded as she placed her arm across her chest loosely, her voice so quiet that it was barely more than a whisper as she squirmed in place.

Fortunately, Anyu appeared to have responded more or less correctly, as Tiana wasted no time in moving onto the next name on her list. A few moments later, Tiana wrapped up her speech to the collection of novices by instructing them to make sure that they got something to eat from the dining halls when they got a chance. At the mention of food, Anyu’s stomach growled softly and reminded her that Malvin had insisted they skip breakfast that day so that they could arrive at the Guild sooner. ”Hopefully it won’t be too much trouble for me to get something to eat,” Anyu thought, grimacing slightly as her stomach rumbled again.

Nearby, Marius was quickly summarizing the instructions that Tiana had given everyone, which helped Anyu feel a little more confident that she had managed to correctly decipher the strange words Tiana had used. Then the fiery man suddenly directed his attention to Anyu and asked her if she wanted to help people. Before Anyu could respond to the strange question with more than a slight nod, the dwarf, Brandon, appeared next to the two of them and began berating Marius for being rude. Anyu trembled upon hearing the anger in Brandon’s voice and took a step away from the scene, the air chilling sharply once more. As Brandon turned his attention to her, Anyu flinched, certain that he was about to unleash his wrath upon her as well.

When it turned out that all Brandon wanted to do was ask her what her name was, Anyu was noticeably relieved, though she still shook a little from the ordeal. ”I-I’m Anyuki,” she said quietly, eyeing him with some confusion as he gave her a slight bow. She certainly wasn’t used to anyone treating her with that level of respect, though she knew that was mostly because she didn’t deserve it. Really, she just hoped that Marius’s response didn’t make Brandon any angrier. As long as things went well, she might even be able to follow one or the other of them as they went to do the things that Tiana had instructed them to. Anyu certainly didn’t know where anything was, having just arrived and all.

He smiled at the nod. A knowing, intrigued smile. The shift in his exposed eye was that something akin to finding the answer to a particularly difficult math problem. He checked off a few things in his head. He did notice she backed up and looked constantly on edge. Of couse, small, meek possibly. Likes to hide away in corners. To be in the presence of a hero must be truly overwhelming for the poor creature. He had to maybe perhaps keep his voice down when he tells her what he has already deduced. The shock may render her comatose. Just one more question- "Do you-?"

Hearing 'Phoenix' shot Marius attention over to the dwarf. Then he pronounced it wrong, and this made Marius give him a puzzled look. He eyeballed the dwarf before coming to a conclusion. Merchant Tongue wouldn't be a dwarf's first language he must have tried to say his revered title but there was a bit of a loss in translation. How embarrassing for him. Marius cracked a smile but quickly wiped it away. It wasn't the dwarfs fault and he wouldn't do to mock others on their short comings.

He cleared his throat and raised a finger to the dwarf. He corrected. "Het wordt uitgesproken als Phoenix Dawn, nadruk op de 'awn', veelgemaakte fout." [It's pronounced as Phoenix Dawn, emphasis on the 'awn', common mistake.] Perfect Dwarvish came from Marius, even getting the idioms and slight accent correct with the deep-throated raspiness common to the consonants.

It would fall on deaf ears it seems. He came right up and reinsulted Marius. This time, the brick wall that was his ego was penetrated. The Hero huffed, but kept his composure, merely crossing his arms. With the uniform, he concluded that the Dwarf was also a student and not a professor, so they were akin to peers, atleast under the Guild Banner. "Please Dwarf Man." He stated. Again not getting the names, he realized he didn't really get any of them, too lost in thought to focus on such insignificant details. He couldn't even be sure if they were the people he thought they were yet. "Whose being rude by interrupting someone after insulting them? I can understand you're jeal-"

He then came to a realization like another light bulb went off in his head. His entire demeanor changed in an instant as he gave that penetrative stare again, his face intense as if he just realized something earth shattering, this time to Brandon. He had that same face when he was in the clutches of Tiana having come to his own conclusion. He didnt bend over, but he did uncoil his arms and lean in. "Are you always like this? Constantly surly and lashing out at everything that doesn't conform to your impossibly specific expectations?" The way he asked this question, the way he presented it was that it was a legitimate question. Not even the slightest hint that there was meant to be an insult in it.

Sylvie was positively jubilant upon hearing Brandon would indulge her. It had been so long since she'd been able to get someone to go along with her. She was almost bouncing up and down on the spot as she anticipated the confrontation that was to come. Brandon did not disappoint; the moment Sylvie heard the phrase "Phoenix Dumb", she broke out in hysterics once again. It would probably seem beyond juvenile to anyone else, but to Sylvie it was the funniest thing she had heard in a while. The only let down was that Marius wasn't nearly as rankled by it as she had hoped. Again, it was not so much that she desired to see him suffer, but if he wouldn't get worked up, how could he give as good as he got? It was more fun when people traded verbal jousts back and forth. Instead, he offered some calm insight Sylvie couldn't fully understand.

However, whatever the nature of their exchange was or would become, Sylvie had seized upon something stupid and juvenile to be entertained by, and that was all she needed. She started dancing around where she stood, enraptured by the silly insult she had been inspired by. "Phoenix Dumb! Phoenix Dumb! Phoenix Dumb!" She began chanting loudly and continuously. Anyone that knew her would know she had a tendency to latch on to strange things like this, but anyone that didn't know her would likely think she had gone mad...or that she was several years younger than she appeared.

Orky then said in Orcish,"Nalal ro couruke!" Which means 'Well Of Course' in common speak. "I would love to but sadly it would take to much of my time in order to do so and I have to do many things today. Such as go to my classes and pick up my uniform. But, oh yes the name is Orky, it's a pleasure to meet you," Orky then cut off about 20oz's off his steak and threw it into the air near S'hraa knowing very well the Tosuri would catch it and eat the steak. "May that be a token of our friendship, S'hraa,"

Orky then finished what was left of his steak after giving a portion to S'hraa, and then proceed to clean himself up from the juice and blood mixture. "Man I feel my blood fully restored after eating that bloody steak. But now that I finished I must go to retrieve my uniform, so I will all see you later. If you wish to come with me, I wouldnt mind the company," Orky then proceeded to stand up and throw his plate in the trash. Then he he walked out of the kitchen and headed to the common room. He looked over at everyone having a conversation. He saw the dwarf which was a first for Orky, but he was no stranger to creatures smaller than him. But then that's when Orky saw her, a Sun Elf, in Orky's opinion a very attractive one at that. When Orky saw her he was dumbfounded and only said "Wow Mama". While still enchanted Orky didnt notice that we was walking right into a book shelf. When he had hit it the bookshelf made a noise that was if someone was knocking on a door. But from the impact a book got loose off one of the shelves and had hit Orly rigjt in the head, leaving him rubbing his head.

He had noticed that someone of the group had directed his attention towards him and all he could get out with his red and flustered face was, "Uh Hi."

Brandon was briefly surprised to find this moron could actually speak the Dwarven tongue. It was more than he expected from him, but it was not as though no human had ever spoken Dwarvish before. Naturally, in between learning Anyuki's name and observing how deeply uncomfortable she seemed, Marius made a point of retorting to him with some trivial attempt at psychology. He wasn't sure if it was a backhanded insult or a genuine attempt to analyse him, but he wasn't the least bit impressed. He would've fired on all cylinders if they had been alone, but given how Anyuki appeared apprehensive, he decided to temper his response.

"I would think one that understands the Dwarven tongue might understand that Dwarves don't waste good manners on those that go around breaking doors down in fits of paranoia." He remarked, dismissively yet calmly. "Especially those that cling to the illusion that they haven't done a thing to offend." It was at this point he began to hear the Elf's oncoming chorus. He now suddenly regretted uttering the words "Phoenix Dumb", if only for his own sake. "I think the Elf there would make great company for you, Phoenix. She's more on your level." As he finished speaking, the Orc reappeared in the room and made a fool of himself by blundering into a bookcase. "That Orc there would suit you too." He said, although as he said it, he felt bad for being so harsh on the Orc.

"Now, I think I had best take my leave. It's all too chaotic for my liking in here. Farewell, Anyuki." He said to the eponymous Enuri. "My apologies for disturbing you so." He then turned to leave for the door. Perhaps he would stop for a bite to eat before getting on with the day. Whatever he decided, he hoped to be mercifully free of fools and braggarts.

Character Name: Artemis Eldon
Time of Day: Early morning
Location: Dormitory common room then dormitory hallways.
Interacting with: Brandon Argyle @Avant

When Tiana restricted the impudent boy, Artemis couldn’t contain the small snort and smirk on her face. The boisterous mightier than thou attitude he radiated was really getting on her nerves. He seemed to live in some sort of ignorant fantasy where he was the centre of the universe that required him to constantly be an attention sponge. The boy even had the audacity to call her a retainer. From the little time she had known him this was what she took of him, annoying, obnoxious and arrogant. Yeah they weren’t going to get along. Luckily though, Tiana seemed to talk at least the slightest bit of sense through the thick skulled boy when he somewhat acknowledged his peers as equals and not servants.

After the assistant house mentor’s briefing, Artemis figured she should probably go collect her bag she left halfway up a fleet of stairs. She quietly exited the room and headed down the staircases. When she reached the fleet of stairs she left her bag on, it was nowhere to be seen. The only evidence of her stuff once being here was her cat Boundie who laid sprawled out asleep next to where the bag was supposed to be. As much as she loves him, Artemis has to say, Boundie is complete utter garbage when it comes to guarding, or doing anything really. If she had to guess, someone just took the bag to lost property while Boundie was asleep. “Thanks for being a great guard cat” she said in sarcasm while waking up the dark, short haired cat. He stared at her with big green sparkling eyes doing that cute expression animals do when the know they’ve done something wrong. His attempt to sway her mind with cuteness proved ineffective since Artemis has already been desensitised to all of this.

The two walked up the stairs since Boundie was definitely not catching a ride on her for sleeping on the job. As they were making their way to the dorm to seek guidance on where in the lost property was, they spotted a prim dwarf man who seemed to be on his way somewhere. The dwarf man seemed older and self-assured like he’d been at the guild for a bit already. Perhaps he knows where the lost property may be? “Uh excuse me?” she called out to him more awkward than she intended. “Sorry to bother you but I lost possession of my bag and I was wondering if you knew where about the lost property is so I can look for it there?” She asked hastily not wanting to waste too much of his time.

Character Name: Marius
Time of Day: Early Morn
Location: Dormitory Common Room
Interacting with: Brandon@Avant; Anyu @TaliPaendrag; Sylvanna @Etranger; Orky @OrkytheOrc; Rahele @Moyai

Hearing Brandon's words, typically he blistering lack of even attempting to try to understand others on a level pegged him as someone Marius needed. He was text book. He fit the word. The deed. The demeanor and everything in between. For lack of a better word, Brandon was perfect. Marius smiled intensely, his eyes almost gleaming with resolution. "Got you." He stated, regardless of whomever would hear him.

The dwarf took his leave making a few other recommendations for who his choice of company should be, and again it made him laugh but internally. Truly he was made for him. And he wondered what the future would hold for the hero and the dwarf. Marius was quick to take up his role in the dynamic. "He does make a point. Perhaps I should change my strategy. Perhaps he means... yes." He stroked his chin in thought. "A not too subtle way to commit myself to the underdogs of the guild. What better group to achieve assured fame and glory? He even suggested the friendliness of nicknames."Even now he looks after his hero. Marius closed his eyes, smiling, suddenly feeling grateful.

He glanced at the loud elf that was wildly using the one his dwarf friend must have picked for him and he grimaced. "I do wish for something a bit more flattering." He shrugged and sighed.

He went back to the first person he was talking. He caught her name now that she had mentioned it so nearby. He looked at the girl nearly half his size. "Anyuki right?" He smiled, placing a hand out, a bandaged one as if offering to shake hands. "Regards. Considering you lack a proper uniform, am I to assume you are like me? New to the guild?" But Marius was wearing a uniform and didn't even seem to notice that it might contradict his claim, having been given a uniform to wear out of the infirmary. "The dwarf had reminded me that if I am to make the best of things, I'll need allies. Friends. Considering we are both new, I'd like to form such a partnership." He smiled, though the claim was quite political in scope, and even now he seemed to be lording a bit. "If you don't mind that is." He added in as an after thought, I mean why wouldn't she accept.

He then saw the Ork hit a book shelf, and he returned with a nervous blushing hi in response. Marius blinked back at him, turning his body and crossing his arms. Looking at the Ork and the dancing elf and the human girl that seemed to be asking questions about the rules of the school and still had not received her answer. "Underdogs. I bet this school expects nothing of us. But as history had shown time and again, we are all secretly geniuses that will prove them wrong. Yes-yes of course. We will should most assuredly become friends! A force to be reckoned with!" He looked back to Anyu, speaking a little loudly. "What do you think Anyuki? Invite the el- no, no change tactics. Use nicknames." It was hard to know when he was talking to her or to himself.

"We should invite the big guy." He pointed to Orky. "Chuckles over there." Pointing to Sylvanna, whom probably needed a chaperon anyway. "And the bookworm." He pointed finally at Rahele, the last student in the room. "We get our uniforms, then strengthen our bonds of companionship over breakfast." He said aloud, partly asking and partly inviting already.

Character Name: Anyu
Time of Day: Early morning
Location: The common room of the dormitory
Interacting with: Marius Sirvaki @ShwiggityShwah, Brandon Argyle @Avant

Marius’s response to Brandon’s tirade was a lot milder than Anyu had expected it to be. Though Anyu hadn’t been able to understand any of the guttural sounds he made at first, his tone came across as neutral and composed as he addressed the irate dwarf. Even when he switched back to speaking words that Anyu could actually understand, he only seemed slightly annoyed with the whole situation. Despite the fact that Anyu would more than likely never actually take a side in their discussion, she had to admit that Marius had a point about Brandon being rude by arriving suddenly and berating him. To be fair to Brandon, however, the only reason Anyu didn’t think that it had been rude of Marius to not ask or remember her name was because Anyu really didn’t expect anyone to. She wasn’t that important after all.

Seeming to have calmed down somewhat, Brandon responded in a more neutral tone that Dwarves wouldn’t waste good manners on Marius before pointing out several people that he thought would make good companions for the fiery-haired man. His list was pretty short, containing only the Sun Elf woman, Sylvanna, that was currently dancing around while repeating the insulting nickname that Brandon had used to address Marius and Orky, who had just made himself known by walking into a bookshelf. Given her lack of experience in social situations and Brandon’s composed tone of voice, Anyu couldn’t quite tell if his suggestions were meant to be an insult or not. Though the words themselves seemed innocent enough, the fact that Brandon didn’t seem to like Marius and the fact that he had named two of the stranger people in the room made it seem like he wasn’t being very kind at all.

His list given, Brandon said goodbye and apologized for bothering Anyu before heading out of the common room. ”Why would he say sorry to me?” Anyu thought with a slight frown as she watched him leave, vaguely aware that Marius had started talking to himself about something or another. Being on the receiving end of an apology was always a little weird for her, as Anyu could count on one hand the number of times in her life that someone had apologized to her about anything. On top of that, she honestly didn’t think that Brandon had done anything to warrant an apology. “Disturbing” her certainly didn’t qualify in her books, but that’s what he had mentioned.

A few moments later, Marius seemed to have finished the conversation he had been having with himself and directed his attention back towards Anyu. She nodded to let him know that he had gotten his name right, though she flinched slightly whenever he extended his bandaged hand towards her as if he was requesting a handshake. ”S-sorry, but I really don’t like being touched,” she said quietly while trying to avoid making eye contact. Hopefully Marius would understand. If he insisted, she might be able to stomach the contact for a few seconds, but it definitely wouldn’t be pretty.

When he asked her if she was new to the guild as well, Anyu simply nodded. From the way that he was dressed, it seemed that Marius had already found where they were supposed to obtain their uniforms. Hopefully, that meant that she would be able to get that taken care of without too much trouble.

Anyu nodded along as Marius transitioned to talking about allies and friends to demonstrate that she was listening, even if she didn’t really understand why the topic had shifted. Upon hearing that he would like to form a partnership with her, Anyu stopped nodding along and stared at Marius with wide, light blue eyes. Though it took her a few moments to process Marius’s offer, she knew that it ultimately would not be a good idea for her to accept it. Even if Marius was being sincere, Anyu knew that it wouldn’t take all that long for him to realize that she was a bad person and/or that she had nothing to contribute to said partnership.

Seemingly unaware of Anyu’s initial reaction, Marius continued talking about what the school expected of them before reiterating that they should be friends. When he asked her what she thought, Anyu just responded with a slight shrug. She really didn’t want to risk letting Marius or any of the others he planned on inviting get to know her well enough to realize that they were better off without her (and they certainly would eventually), but she did need to tag along with him and the others if she wanted to accomplish all of the tasks that Tiana had given them. And so, she found herself giving a very slight nod as Marius pointed out the other people he wanted to join him and discussed his plan for the rest of morning.

Character Name: Sylvanna Teledar

Location: Dormitory

Sylvanna continued prancing about obliviously until the orc becoming acquainted with a bookcase disrupted her. She only had to stare at him and his embarrassed face for a few seconds before coming to the conclusion this was just as, if not more so, hilarious than Phoenix Dumb. She started laughing like a jackal once again, as though the sight of someone bumping into something was the greatest entertainment she'd had in years. Arguably it was, if only because Sylvie bored so easily and a few days without a good bit of chaos at the Guild was like going an eternity without laughter for others.

She would have spent the whole time laughing at him, save for the fact that Phoenix Dumb suddenly started gesturing at her. She gathered that he wanted to invite the lot of them to dine. Sylvie perked up in further excitement. How could she refuse? She would have the perfect opportunity to watch Phoenix Dumb AND Orky entertain her in unison! Without a word of warning, she grabbed Orky by the arm, trying to pull him towards the others. "Come on, Orky Porky! Phoenix Dumb wants to eat together!" She told him cheerfully. She was not actually aware that his name was "Orky", only having conjured it up for the sake of her silly nickname. She was also not nearly strong enough to drag an orc around, so the decision to move closer to Phoenix Dumb and the petite Enuri was entirely in his hands.

Character Name: Rahele (Profile/CS)
Time of Day: Early Morning
Location: Dormitory
Interacting with: Marius @ShwiggityShwah

Rahele had her uniform and food ready, making her stand a bit out of the proposals being thrown around, she was happy that the whole mess of random spellcasting had finished. She observed as others talked, wondering if her enrolment in this particular guild had been a good call, soon realizing that yes, despite the issues, all there seemed to be cut from a cloth above other magic users she found, and even the guild's leniency was a sign of its great power.

It was Marius' talk that truly made her pensive, on one side, it would be better to have a good relationship between members, on the other side... right now she did not feel too great about associating with him. "We are already under a presumed status of friendship and cooperation, considering we all study in the same house. Being able to cooperate and such will be requested from us." she told. "Furthermore, I do not feel particularly underestimated by the guild, there is much the teachers here can teach us. Learning is all about seeing the mistakes of others and not repeating it, the wise old man knows the scars of his past but the smart young hero will avoid those altogether." she told, trying to put her words in a way more palatable to the only other human she had seen so far.

"Nevertheless, it is much better to each with others than alone." she lied. "So I thank you for the offer." with that she stood up, ready to go wherever the people went.

Character Name: Brandon Argyle
Time of Day: Early Morning
Location: Dormitory hallways

It was not long after excising himself from that bothersome situation that someone else came to bother him. Of course Brandon hardly considered one person asking for direction to be anywhere near the bother that listening to Sylvanna snickering or that braggart boasting could ever be. Indeed, this was almost something of a relief. A normal problem to deal with involving a seemingly normal person. Granted, foreign races and species were still something of an oddity to such a sheltered Dwarf, but they weren't so strange he would balk at the mere sight of them. Would that things could be so simple every day, Brandon might appear to be as calm as a monk. Alas, he was sure his placidity would yet again be ruined in due time. Even now he could still hear the Sun Elf's caterwauling cackling all the way from the dormitory he was in such a hurry to leave behind.

"Ah yes, lost property." Brandon began, stroking his beard in thought. "If I recall correctly, I believe those are taken to one of the buildings nearby. It has a squarish, step-like roof, I think." When he arrived at the Guild, he had made a point of familiarizing himself with the relevant buildings around the campus. Although as much as having a wealth of facilities to call upon was a boon for students, he did feel it made it something of a pain to recall which one was which in a pinch. "I'm sure it had a sign to mark it as well. If you prefer, I could even lead you there. I'm not presently in the midst of any important task." In fact, this would make for the perfect detour to take him far away from the Sun Elf's lingering laughter. Ultimately he would have gone off somewhere anyway, but at least this gave him something to occupy his time, should the Moon Elf here accept his offer.

Character Name: Marius
Time of Day: Early Morn

I don't like being touched.

Marius gave her a confused stare for just a moment, he withdrew his hand and instead just crossed his arms. He calculated, calculated, recalculated. His eyes widened with a knowing glance before he smile. "Ahh. You're the one with a tragic backstory. Of course. There has to be one minimum with each party." The knowledge and complete and utter compacting of her underlying problems seemed to come to him as good news. He then shot her a very intense look, the same one he had given Brandon during the end of their discussion. Lording over her he clenched his teeth into his smile and gave her a very cryptic.

"You're going to be perfect..."

And just like that he let the moment pass, slipping from one emotional extreme to the next. His demeanor softened as he proudly proclaimed with a big tooth grin to her. "Right, Anyuki you're with me until the journey is over. I have to admit. Saving the world is going to be more fun with a colorful batch of heroes by my side."

As he began to address the others whom agreed to follow his lead and example.

The elf got into the spirit. She'd probably be considered pretty if she didn't open her mouth and giggle like an idiot. Regardless he addressed her with a nod, wondering if she'd need assist to lift the orc with the concussion. He was still a mystery. Marius' only knowledge being is that he was afraid of imaginary mummies. But she had a place in his grand design too but it was hard to tell which slot she'd be considered best with. He supposed that would be revealed soon enough. If anything he immediately softened up to the idea that she was going to drag the ork and join them in the companionship exercise that is the noble tradition of breakfast. He sighed that the biggest guy in the room was really out of commission. "He'll need some work." He said, turning his nose up.

Then the other in the room came. Marius sized her up. Pretty, he guessed. Pretty enough for the hero image so that was something. She did have a way of standing out, as her silvery hair, eyes, and odd pattern sheen to her clothing. Pretty good enchantment? Alteration? The utility magic he was unfamiliar and dismissive of.

Then she spoke and Marius entire demeanor seemed to change. For a stark moment, he seemed entranced. He leaned forward, arms at his side and mouth hanging open slightly as she talked, as if all that mattered in the world was her and the display she was presenting and it was blowing him away. It was almost a little too spirited how he looked at her, but his eyes never wavered from her face. She finally agreed to his suggestion and her words stopped. He raised his fist before him, clenching it as if ready for battle, his eyes narrowing and brow furrowing towards her. He was almost giggling to himself by the excitement of it all.

"Got you. That makes three..."

Again just as quickly again, he let his hands drop and return to his normal smug self. It was very unclear that he was even grasping the content of what she was saying and the purpose of it, seeming to be enraptured only by the wisdom she possessed and not the wisdom itself. "Wow, this is going way faster than I thought..." He said turning away from them with his hand over his mouth, hiding the words from view but not hearing. He turned back to her with a grin. "Welcome aboard to our little adventure - ummm... What's your name again?" He asked before starting to make his way towards the entrance.
