^ This. Very much this. Though, I must admit, out of the four, I find Season Three the weakest. It definitely had good episodes, but as an entire entity, it was shorter, had fewer good than bad, and had no strong opener or closer (not a big fan of the Crystal Empire here, or Princess Twilight, though I've come to accept the latter over time).

On the other hand, Season Three had Magic Duel, Keep Calm and Flutter On, Sleepless in Ponyville and Too Many Pinkie Pies, the last of which is among my very favorite episodes of the series. So maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.

Another issue with season three...

No Rarity episode! D8< Really writers?!

But otherwise, yeah the same. I enjoyed Magical Mystery Cure, even if it was rushed... :/ Being a musical episode helped.

On the topic of good episodes, I just saw the new one.

Maud is now best pony xP
Jk, Twilight, I'd never replace you~

Seriously though, I think that might be one of my favorite episodes this season xD

So far, both parts of Princess Twilight Sparkle, and Rarity takes Manehattan are my favorites of this season.

I missed this weeks episode. I'll catch it on Youtube at some point.

"Rock.
You are a rock.
Gray.
You are gray.
Like a rock.
Which you are.
Rock."

"I've written thousands." (Pinkie: "She's so prolific!")

"The next one is about rocks. They're all about rocks."

Maud completely slayed me, as did most of the little lines that Pinkie threw in ("She's getting her Rockterate in rock science"). Now, having seen her, it really is amazing just how exuberant Pinkie is ('I don't know if you've noticed, but I don't show my enthusiasm for things quite in the same way my sister does."). I agree, Rune, this is among my favorites this season.

:P Strangelander knows how it is.

In other news, wow is it taking me a long time to post. So, I want you guys to ignore me and go about your merry way, make your posts about meeting people in Ponyville, about the train ride, all of that, while I keep working on setting up the storylines for Baybylon and the rest of the game. :( Again, sorry for all of the delays, but I do want it to be well crafted, and spending considerable amounts of time on it is the only way to ensure that. The upside is, once I have it all worked out, there will be very little waiting indeed!

To be perfectly honest, RPing does not come easy to me, at all. I get serious periodic burnout (followed by bouts of shame for abandoning the site), even when I'm only in a couple of games, and I'm very determined not to let that happen again. So, no matter what happens, I'm not going to abandon this thread. It may take way longer than is appropriate to get moving again, but this game is not going to die.

Alright, so, I'm at a point where I think I should take some suggestions!!

I would love to have ideas that aren't just my own, for this specific game and any future renditions. Think about your characters, situations you think would help them grow, places to visit that would interest them or create some kind of conflict, whatever you want. I have something of a plan already, but it's entirely possible (even likely) that your ideas are better than mine!

In any case, I really want to see what you'll come up with, and as an added bonus, ;) discussing these things might make for a more lively OOC in this little interim period we're having.

Well, crap. I said I was going to work on a post and never did. I feel bad now xP

Anyways, as for Aster and Floret - we already have a possible point of conflict, since we have a changeling among us. Some conflict with part of the hive or something seems like a real possibility. How that would happen, I'm not entirely sure xP

Ohoho, don't you worry, Rune. :P I've been planning for that since I first read the sheet. Conflict indeed.

:) Any thoughts on possible civilizations we may come across?

Some sort of big cat, maybe? Maybe inspired by the Aztec, Mayans, and other early South American cultures or Egypt?

Well cool! I'd love to see more of them. If you didn't notice, I have a soft spot for those little bugs xP

Hrm...As for ancient civilizations...I vote for something based on ancient Egypt. Why? Ancient Egypt is best Ancient Civilization xP

Also, since Strangelander mentioned the ancient Aztecs, Ahuizotl, is actually a mythical creature from their civilization. Maybe we could expand on that a bit?

Why's it gotta be ancient? Let's be different and encounter a futuristic civilization. :P

Futuristic eh? I'm not sure how that would work that well. If they had advanced tech or something, I'm sure the other races of the world would already know about it xP

I knew this was a good idea.

As for the cats, well... I hate to admit it, but my thought was Persia. Because, you know, "Purrsia"...

x.x Yeah, Egypt might be better. It'll still work with my plans, as well, because the Purrsians were going to be neighbors to Saddle Arabia, and Egypt is also a neighbor of Arabia in real life (just to the West, instead of the East). Yes, yes, good stuff.

As for the ancient America, it's also in the works, as the jungle located directly South of the Badlands. To maintain that Daring Do's Cottage was on the edge of Equestria, the jungle would be bordering the Equestrian South-West US/Northern Mexico-based San Palomino desert, before it morphs into the more Sahara/Arabian Peninsula-based Camelu desert, which is where Saddle Arabia and our as-of-yet unnamed catty Egypt will be... I haven't decided an animal for them yet, though. Maybe leopards, cousins of the smaller Egyptian cats (just like the Arabian horses are somewhat related to the ponies)? That could work. What do you think?

EDIT: Sorry, Crimson, future-tech just wouldn't fit in. Even the ponies' technology is all based on magic, you know? It doesn't have to be ancient, just more mythological than not (Saddle Arabia, for instance, is based on the mystical Arabia of legend, with djinn and alchemy and flying carpets and all that good stuff).

It's just a thought. Magic makes that difficult. xD

Yeah, that's what I figured after.

We could do Ancient Greece. They had fun mythology. xD

Well, we do have Hydras. Aren't those from ancient Greece? I don't see it being outside of the realm of possibility
