APPEARANCE Annora is of slightly less than average height for her race, her body on the toned side of things. She has several marks from injuries she got when she was still learning how to use the anvil. Her eyes are colored purple, and she possesses a beauty mark on her left cheek.
PERSONALITY Calm, cool, and collected, at a first glance Annora appears as an ordinary hyur. She only usually speaks when spoken to, having a general disinterest in most conversations, though she's too polite to just stay quiet. She doesn't emote well, nor does she express her thoughts openly. She prefers to get straight to the point and speaks somewhat bluntly. Despite being on the quieter side of things, she does pay attention to her surroundings, making sure to retain important information. Because of this she's fairly good at explaining things when needed, knowledgeable about many subjects and locales due to her travels.
And then there's Annora in combat.
Relying on brute force to solve most of her combat issues, she likes to jump right in. Completely focused on demolishing her enemies, she has no fear, whether it's another warrior or a monster three times her size. Her strength allows her to swing her axe with an added grace, though considering that the subject of her choosing is about to get sliced in half, 'grace' may not be the best word to describe it. Still, she revels in a fight, the thrill giving her a rush unlike any other.
BIOGRAPHY Born the third child to Eleanore and Avery Steele, Annora's life was fairly straightforward. Her parents were strong willed, doing their best to instill their children with the same confidence. Her family was well known for their craft, her mother's merchant services putting their works into high demand. Throughout most of her childhood Annora and her two siblings, Avalon the brother and Amelie, would assist their father and learn the family techniques, developing and nurturing the skill from a young age. As she got older, Avalon often yearned to see more of the world, often shirking off the work to make trips into the other city states. Eventually he left one day when she was fifteen and never came back. Amelie soon studied to become her father's apprentice properly, and Annora found herself at a crossroads: dare she follow her brother and explore Eorzea, or prove herself a dutiful daughter like her sister did?
Fate had a hand in nudging her into the right direction one day upon their return to the city, their cart filled with supplies. Despite being told to stay put, the eighteen year old Annora found herself picking up one of the fallen's weapons, charging in. Of course, a young woman with no experience was no match for bandits, but something in her seemed to awaken. After the Maelstrom soldiers took over and led the family to safety, Annora would approach the Marauder's Guild and enroll. At first, her parents protested, not wanting to lose another child tot he life of adventure, but she wouldn't be contained.
The nomadic lifestyle she ended up adapting came from pure experience; she had admittedly gone into the adventurer's life completely blind. Still, she adjusted, learned, and became more sure of herself. She left La Noscea once she felt comfortable with her fighting ability and explored Eorzea to challenge herself. Two years ago, she met Shooting Star in Mor Dhona, supposedly a crafter extraordinaire of some kind. While initially wary of him and his questionable personality at first, she did recognize that he had an eye for the craft, and so she studied under him for a year and a half, refining her skill to the point that from that point forward she began to make her own weapons.
When her savings began to dwindle, Annora started to look for other avenues. Half a year ago she began to pick up on hunts, finding the challenges provided by the various monsters a good way to entertain herself. Hunting also helped in her learning both the layout of the land as well as educating herself in the various wildlife around Eorzea.
OTHER INFORMATION She initially had a desire to become an arcanist for the sole purpose of getting to have her own personal Carbuncle.
Despite being more knowledgeable in weaponry, she does know how to repair a variety of armor from anything metal to leather to cloth. Her skills end there, though; she'll recommend others to go to experts if they need anything beyond repairs.
Her services are mostly done through commissions in which she will drop everything and craft things within a short period. As of late, she has found more money in hunting and has prioritized tracking hunts to sustain herself.
She likes spicy foods.
She likes to wear a flower with her headband.
