Quote: "You know you want it, shame you can't have it."
Nicknames: None usually, though when working with other witches and warlocks, goes by The Serpent's Spawn
Lesbian
Witch
Martin Bloodline
Age: 19
Ambitious-Clever-Deceitful-Charming
Interests: Magic, Hiking in the woods, cooking
Personality: Ivy is one of the most driven individuals you will ever meet. She is, pardon the phrase, hellbent on getting ahead. She tends to be very envious (not surprising, considering her father), but is at the least reliable. She tends to be a good liar as well, and has an adventurous streak to her.
Bio: The Martin line has always taken a pleasure in the Dark Arts, but to understand Ivy's history, you need to understand her mother. Samantha Williams was fifty years old, but wanted a child to carry on her dark legacy. So she did what any woman would in her situation: adopt sell her soul to Invidiel, Lord of Envy, Serpent in the Garden of Eden, and Leviathan of Revelation, in exchange for a daughter. The payment was to be made on the girl's sixteenth birthday.
Ivy's childhood was normal, at least for a dark witch. Brewing potions on the stove, summoning friends from the underworld- it was far from mundane, but she liked it. On her sixteenth birthday, she said her last tearful goodbye to her mother, then watched as she was devoured by a spectral serpent to drown in icy water for eternity.
Ivy's just graduated high school, and is attending UMass in the fall for political science.
Skills: Infernal Summoning: Due to her bloodline, Ivy can call up the denizens of Hell with relative ease. Envy demons are particularly simple affairs.
Hellwater: Ivy can conjure and command the frozen, cursed seas of her father's domain. This water can corrode both body and soul.
Serpent Speech: Ivy can speak to snakes. Make Harry Potter jokes if you dare.
Other: Ivy is uniquely vulnerable to holy symbols, objects and places. Crosses cause her intense pain just by being near her and burn her skin upon touch, and she can't enter a church unless she descrates it by spilling her blood upon the ground.
I'll work on Lucifer tonight and I totally don't mind coming up with something. Perhaps these witches/warlocks are in the same city, and they're discovering each other thanks to Lilith and Lucifer. And, so, the activity of magic and stuff is increasing, and the hunters somehow catch wind.
@dragonbutts well i thought the GM might have given you some queues, or something.
if not yeah, i guess the witches holding a necronomi-con or something would be suspicious with all the local goats vanishing and frogs falling from the sky
I assumed that it would be taking place in Salem since that's where the biggest witch community would be. Thus, they wouldn't be alone, they have access to many necessities that are required for witchcraft such as vendors for reagents and materials or places/beacons of increased poweror something. But I guess you could make your character be wherever they want haha :p
EDIT: Also, as a hunter, you'd wanna be where the action is right?
I based my character around the Massachusetts area anyway :D
EDIT EDIT: I'm assuming hunters have their own tricks and such to find out about witches. For example, Natalia is described to be a great researcher so she's probably familiar with all the bloodlines and what type of witchcraft that they delve into. Thus, she can use that with some sort of combined equipment to find out the placement of a witch. But you could also follow news leads that are incredibly sketchy or publicized events that seem to fit in a more supernatural setting that normal people don't understand.
yeah i know we're all in the same town, but towns are pretty big places.
it said that most of the characters are high schoolers in the same school but i'm pretty sure a majority of the characters are well above high school age.

Well, if the town is Salem, I don't think it's actually THAT big. So the chances of people running into each other are pretty often. And Salem IS a mysterious city, so there's a lot of leads to follow that could potentially lead to a hunt.
I'll message the GM before actually writing anything, since I don't quite know the setting or anything either. Maybe I'm just really tired and missed some details or something lol.
Sorry guys, the RP will take place in Salem. Itβs a smaller town, with tons of lore and obviously dark history. Most witches would have either been raised in Salem, their ancestors just never leaving. Or they would have ventured back, learning the towns connection to them. Hunters all have ways of finding out witches or suspicions of them, they use different tools and instruments to track supernatural power. (This is up to the hunter to decide what they use, allowing creativity for this.) So hunters that werenβt apps born into Salem, would eventually trickle in, a strong draw to the town.
Well, okay, Mary is innocently riding her bike, down the street so if anyone wants to bump into her or whatever go ahead. anything is possible in spooky ghost town.
I just got her family established since they are hugely important to her, but i'm not gonna keep her attatched to them so much because she's pretty independant.
