Here's my idea for A RP. Please give feedback and encourage if you think I should go through with it. Not a hundred percent sure what the genre would be other then fantasy. I do have a story plot/arc set up for a group of characters set in this universe/setting.

The World

Summary:

A planet so massive in size it makes Earth seem like a moon or meteor in comparison. Both beings of magical and technological affinities survive in The World. Civilizations rise and fall as history unravels itself. Who will live to tell the stories of past memories or build a foundation for generations to call home? Only this story will give that answer.

In the World everyone possesses A powerful energy known as Mana in their body. This energy is used to perform supernatural abilities/feats. A certain percentage of the population can freely or instinctively tap into Mana and these people are labeled Magic Users. Another portion of the World's population require a tool, instrument, or item to use mana and they are labeled Tech Users.

A constant cause of strife between Magic & Tech users is a rare resource called Manium. Manium is the physical crystal form of Mana. This magical crystal is required for A Tech users magical items/tools and it boosts a Magic Users overall powers. A Tech user manipulates the Mana in their body to react to the Manium crystal in their weapon/tools, thus making their weapon/tool perform powerful abilities. A Magic User will drain the Mana from Manium to boost their power overall. The boost seems a lot at first, but drains over time. Leaving the Magic User slightly stronger then before.

Due to the massive size and population of The World, governments and territories have a difficult time prospering. Since A territory or City-state only holds jurisdiction within its boarders, bounty hunting seems to be a valuable trade. Despite if the bounty on the suspect's head is righteous or not. Countless territories throughout the World run by bounty hunting, A law enforcement system or both.



Also........

Tech Users: A Tech user needs to have A Manium crystal to operate tech that possess supernatural abilities. For example Rex made A staff bound with A Manium Crystal to enable it to use lightning based abilities. Unless proper steps are taken any Tech users will be able to use Rex's weapon. To make his weapon only usable by himself, he must make an insignia on the Manium Crystal before binding it to his creation/item. This insignia is unique to each Tech user but is made by the Tech users blood. The blood insignia prevents anyone without the proper DNA use of the Tech Item.

Interested. May want to be careful with the mages being able to boost power by consuming a crystal though. Could lead to god modding. Rest looks awesome though.

Yea. I figured I would set up a system where confirmation with me would be needed or other gm's to find the Crystals. Or with the whole rp group as a whole the decision would be made/discussed as well.

Well, anyone who is interested in being involved with this as an rp, if it gets enough attention. I'll let ya know as more people get interested. So far I see four people other then myself interested. And as the number grows I'll get more encouraged to make an OOC. However everyone in this Interest Check (Or that's interested.) will be aware/talked to before I commit to making an OOC/RP
