This idea is slightly more straightforward. In the not too distant future, next Sunday A.D., Mirai City has become one of the fastest-growing and most technologically advanced cities in all of Japan. But in this world, there are two forces at constant war unable to be seen by humans: the Fae, spiritual beings that feed off of and induce positive emotions, battling Demons, spiritual beings that feed off of and induce negative emotions. While Demons have the ability to possess humans if their spirits have been broken, the Fae have their own way to counter them by creating magical girls. Seems fairly typical, right?
Well, it stops there.
In order to maintain their powers, magical girls must destroy and absorb the spirit cores of demons. However, there are only so many to go around. Eventually, an unwritten rule was agreed upon by the magical girls of Mirai City: each magical girl would take a part of the city as their territory, and could only hunt demons in that part of the city. Knowingly hunting in another girl's territory is grounds for a fight… and even death.
In a nutshell, this plot is inspired by
Blue Exorcist and
Madoka Magica, with a dash of
Doom 2016 for good measure.
