Hrm..So what little information there is for Australia on the wiki..What of it is going to be redone/declared non canon?

Probably all of it.

More than likely, we'll be rendering Australia a blank slate.

I figured it looked either very Victoria 2 or .*Obligatory link

Watching that linked me to this, which I never knew to exist before now.

Edit: I'm also going to be sticking with Britain, and am figuring out what to do about it's history.

Why has Pakistan been swallowed by India now?

And why is Jordan part of Palestine, when as far as I know Jordan has been independent since the RP began?

I'd forgotten but actually Pakistan had been a part of India till the civil war, and it was decided between Persia and China that the federal state resulting from the armistice would comprise it as well.

I didn't remember that concerning Jordan. In most maps it's included in the Ottoman Empire.

I'll do a sentence about Jordan then, too.

Before you do that, we have to determine its status. Is it actually an independent country? Some maps included it as part of the Saudi realms, others as part of the Ottoman empire, and a couple as being independent. *Gosh this is so confusing*

I remember reading in Palestine-guys posts that Jordan was helping them in their rebellion, so I would assume it was independent, if not rebelling at the same time. I wasn't completely up to date with everyone elses posts before the switch though, so I dunno if anything was mentioned later on.

But then is the Palestinian rebellion canon? The timeline is so confusing some canon plot lines mention or are based on non-canon actions or countries.
Asides from that person, no one ever mentioned an independent Jordan. I would favor it being part of Palestine, as it was only created following WWI due to British interests (irl, that is).

More than likely, we'll be rendering Australia a blank slate.

We can maybe retain the ideas, like a socialist fever, and tensions between East and West Australia, without making it quite so strange as it really was.

The point is to drop as much as we can outside of the long-held player countries so they are accessible. Most of what we are keeping are things that are so big they've had a larger impact, or things that play into everyone elses canon somehow.

Australia just isn't important enough to keep stuff for.

The summaries will be out today, I reckon?

Is there a list of nations that have been reserved in advance?

Right.

It would make sense then to have a united Palestine, which would definitely have more potential and be more interesting than two distinct states.

I went through all the old maps to see what was going on. Jordan doesn't seem to be on the original, but it appears in Aarons remake of the map in the '76 reboot. Since it hasn't played an important role, i'll just let the rest of y'all decide.

Prussia, Armenia, China, Spain, Ethiopia, Britain, Georgia, Persia and Liberia.

Other countries that have a set canon but aren't being played include Japan, USSA, Canada, Brazil(I think), Russian Republic, the Finlands, Slavic Union, most of East Asia and the Ottoman Empire.

Given what Australia has gone through every and any version of Australia that was is non-canonical. The only real canon point that needs to be remembered is the Anarchic period in Great Britain and what that would have happened in Australia, being a Commonwealth state.
