This is an Isekai/Other World RP, that will take inspiration mainly from titles such as RE: Monster, The Rise of the Shield Hero, and Konosuba. Given these references, you can get a vague idea of what I am going for; an adventure story. I'll be making use of an overlying plot, but only for events deemed necessary for the progress of the story. For everything else in between, it'll be sandbox-like at best.
Premise
Annually, the mortality rate around the world is approximately 44.5 million. Among those unfortunate individuals, are a select few who possess indomitable wills that forcefully reject the idea of being put to rest. Fortunately, there exists beings that have transcended the limits of the mortal realm and are referred to, by most, as gods. Among their many responsibilities, they also heed to the calls of restless souls that refuse the afterlife. You know, like yourself.
This might not be the best way to find out, but you have certainly died. It's not uncommon for souls to not recall how it happened, but as the shock slowly subsides, the moments that caused your demise along with your other memories of your past life, eventually resurface.
So here you are, suspended in a void of nothingness, speaking to a disembodied voice who's offering you another chance at life. Would you want to give a life of adventure a chance or are you satisfied with what you've done so far?
The fact that you're here right now kind of makes your answer obvious though.
The story will take place in the Country of Arcadia, but all characters will be citizens of the Merchant Kingdom, Avarice. How and why you ended up there, will find out in the first arc.
Quirks, Perks, and Gifts
Quirks and Perks pertain to your character's name notable physical capabilities and unique skills. So this may range from being an exceptional swimmer, acrobatic, or multilingual to possessesing an iron stomach, keen eyesight, or incredible memory.
As for Gifts, these are what you'd call powers that will be granted to your characters at the start of the story. They may come in the form of an ability (fire breathing, sprouting out draconic wings from one's back, or summoning a small dragon) or an item (a blade that creates explosions on contact, footwear that allows one to move faster or in unique ways, or a mask that transforms one's appearance when worn). These start out simple but will definitely progress overtime.

@Protean Pair I've taken the liberty of drafting up a CS, could you give me some pointers as to what I should improve/change/remove and such?
Appearance: Miyako is a moderately tall girl, standing at 5'10" tall in her new form, excluding the ears, that is. She has white hair with a soft-pink undertone to it, which reaches all the way down to her lower back. She's got a nice figure, like she'd always wished for when she was alive, but is now learning that a body like this is works quite differently from her old body. Her legs have shifted to be the tiniest bit rabbit-like, the change is not drastic enough to be visibly different, but it does put a hop in her step.
Personality: Miyako is a bubbly young woman, who tackles problems in the only way she knows; directly. She's by no means dumb, but her excitable nature often leads her to make reckless decisions and careless mistakes, only when adrenaline is racing through her veins she gets truly focused. Worse yet is that she's absolutely incorrigible. She is aware that she often causes others to worry, yet no matter how much others berate her for it, she wouldn't give up her antics for anything... Well there may be something, but if there is she hasn't found it yet.
Being ever-cheerful as she is, even as she's about to do some downright crazy things, Miyako has often served as a source of inspiration for those around her. Admittedly, she's occasionally crashed and burned immediately after declaring she'd pull of something crazy, so those who know her for extended periods of time often come to the conclusion that she's foolish, rather than inspiring. Despite the inevitable failures, Miyako actually quite often succeeded at whatever crazy stunt she'd said she'd pull, and she'd have felt more alive than ever while she did it.
There are times however, that even Miyako knows she can't or shouldn't do certain things, and though her parents were quite tolerant of her shenanigans, they still had expectations she needed to meet. As such, through repetition, arguments and many hours spent grounded, Miyako learned this the hard way.
Background: Miyako was born in Kyoto, in a shrine by the countryside. Naturally, she wasn't aware back when it happened, but according to her mother, the woman who maintained the shrine was also a maternity nurse and a friend of the family. Miyako was a small baby all things considered, but she was a healthy one, and she was born without any complications. Similarly, her early childhood was also without complications. She was taught how to walk and talk, went to kindergarten, made some friends and more often than not she came home with leaves in her hair and mud on her hands. Sometimes, she'd also have a bruise or a scrape from tying to run to fast and tripping. Elementary school too was much of the same, playing, learning and getting into trouble with her friends.
It was in high school that Miyako found something to channel her excess energy into; the track club. The competitive and physically intensive nature of the sport made it a great environment for her. As a result of her newfound interest, Miyako spent even less time on homework, causing her grades to plummet. It only took her to bomb a few tests for her parents to step in. Through semi-peaceful negotiations with her parents, being grounded and receiving a lot of help from her friends, Miyako managed to pull her grades back up and graduate high school with acceptable grades.
After graduation, Miyako enrolled at a small university on the outskirts of Osaka. Luckily, one of her friends also enrolled here, so she wasn't entirely on her own in terms of studying. Another development occured on the track front as well. The track club at the university offered a supplement that her high school hadn't offered; pole vaulting. While retaining everything she liked about track, it had the added bonus of sending a rush of adrenaline through her vein with every jump, causing her to quickly be smitten with the sport. While her life after that continued similarly to how it had in high school, being a mix of studying, training and making trouble, she was actually beginning to calm down as she grew more mature. She was still highly energetic, but with even more time going into sport and studies, she started doing fewer crazy stunts.
Eventually, during her second year in university, Miyako was caught by a cruel stroke of irony, an accident that would end her life prematurely. She lost her life not while trying to do something crazy, like her parents had told her would one day be the death of her, but due to a faulty piece of equipment. Nearing the end of a day of practice, Miyako made what would become her last jump, as her vaulting pole snapped clean in half underneath the repeated strain.
It wasn't gravity that killed her, though. The fall itself had merely left her dazed, with a concussion and some broken bones at worst. While unaware of it herself at first, Miyako had been impaled on the broken pole. After the fall, she struggled to her feet, only to be thwarted by a sharp pain in her gut and a sudden dizziness. Looking down at the source of the pain, Miyako saw a sight she didn't quite comprehend in her dazed state; her white shirt was covered in a red stain, just like the ground underneath her, and her vaulting pole seemed to stand on its own... A few moments passed and the red stains only seemed to slowly grow, until the realization hit her, and she threw up.
After that came panic. Her senses once more grew aware of the commotion around her, the noise was overwhelming, people shouting, some running, quick hushed words of panicked students mixed with words of others, trying to comfort these panicked students, unable to do anything else. Then, one voice pierced the din, they were speaking to her, but Miyako couldn't comprehend. Her heart was racing, beating so hard it nearly burst out of her chest, and no matter how she tried to focus on the voice, she just couldn't figure out what they were saying or even who it belonged to. She felt someone touch her and another sting of pain came. She wanted to scream, but her voice was stuck in her throat, she expected to be hit with another wave of dizziness, but was instead caught by a sudden blackness, and an almost comforting silence.
Miyako never woke up after that. Despite her teacher's best attempts to stabilize her until the paramedics arrived, despite the ambulence driver's haste and despite the doctors' best efforts, Miyako died that day. Even if she hadn't died of bloodloss, she would've died as a result of shock. Miyako was cremated within the week, and a ceremony followed two weeks after the event.

(Poverty strikes again!)
Other:
Appearance: In life, Miyako used to be a short girl with black hair and a petite figure. At her tallest she was 5'1", ever so slightly below the national average. While she often wished she were taller and more feminine-looking, her transformation still came as a shock. While admittedly she had grown, it had been quite a shock to find a pair of functional, sensitive rabbit ears atop her head.
Appearing ever so slightly different from a normal rabbit, and with the rabbit's bold claims about being a demon, the first thing that came to Miyako's mind was the rabbit from a movie she'd watched during english class. As this creature was technically unnamed however, Miyako took the liberty of giving the creature a name so she could more easily call on it... Despite the apparently demonic nature of the beast, Miyako was quickly sold on the name Pyonsuke, derived from pyonpyon, or hopping. He then failed to convince her to choose a different name, and let his loyalty be bought with carrots.
@Ryougu Everything seems alright, only thing would be that Race should be Beastkin (Rabbit). Otherwise, everything else is cool. I'll follow up with those abilities.
@1Charak2 Nope, racial traits are gonna go under Perks and Quirks.
Personality: Akiko has always been a bright and cheerful girl, and loves being in the center of the action. She makes new friends easily, but has a hard time building deeper relationships as she rarely devotes enough attention to one person. She is definitely a gifted learner, and has picked up a number of skills at an amateur level, but, again, has not put in the time to master any. She also prefers simply trying things out after reading about them or seeing them in films, and her lack of technique often shows.
Background: Akiko lived a fairly normal student life in Tokyo, with high grades and a decent number of friends (particularly in the Literature Club). While she seemed to be on a successful path, she often found herself wanting more than an ordinary life and sought ways of making her life into something unique. She also dove into worlds of fantasy, spending a good deal of her time reading, watching movies and playing video games with stories that grabbed her attention. Her death came as a sudden surprise; she was spending time with friends after school on its rooftop, leaning against the railing when a bird dove after the snack on her hands and caused her to fall over the side.
Gift: The Mighty Pen - By writing words on objects, Akiko can bestow on to them unique enhancements and properties. The larger the object and the more complex the inscription, the more fatigue she feels. Currently, she can only manage single words.
Side traits: (+) Familiar with fantasy tropes (+) Plays flute (-) Easily distracted, especially by good food (-) Bad at teamwork, doesn't like taking orders (=) Dislikes birds
@geminironin it says in the CS template (above the code one) what to fill in under the tabs. So specifically it says we have no gear, and that perks and quirks will be determined by protean, based on the contents of the rest of your CS.
Appearance: *his skin might be a little more darker and the tip of his ears are a bit pointier.

The rest.. well, The cat and the bike were okay, Aizen on the other hand, he wasn't so fortunate.
Gift: Leave this blank for now, but when posting your sheets, answer these questions: -Ability, any magic that involves illusions.
Quirks and Perks: This is decided by me and will be based on the content of your character sheet.
Thinking of making either a lovably annoying monk, or a lovably annoying kind-of-bard type song magic user. Give or take the 'lovably' part, of course.
Personality: Reserved? No, reserved isn't the word. Aloof? No, that's not it either. See, these all give some impression of dignity, which Shisato doesn't have a ton of. She's quiet, mostly, but also hopelessly delusional. Not exceptionally bright, Shisato suffered from Chuunibyou long, long after middle school had ended. Nobody really talked to her to enough to tell her that her obsession with ancient hermeticism and alchemy was mostly useless. Nobody bothered to explain to her that she wouldn't just abruptly be transported to some fantasy world. And now that she's there, she's finding it hard to contain her excitement and maintain her "cool" exterior.
Her reincarnation as a serpentfolk strikes her as perfect, as serpents symbolize transformation and forbidden wisdom, something she will explain at length. This will go on for hours if you let it.
Background: Shisato was a relatively rich kid. One might even be inclined to say spoiled, if one were inclined to pass judgement on random children. Her parents were both highly respected ER surgeons, which left Shisato with a lot of money and a lot of time alone. This proved to be the perfect pitri dish to cultivate some truly bizarre behaviors.
By the time she had entered school, she was already pretty convinced that she was a witch of some sort. Further testing proved the had the amazing power to scare other kids away. And no friends meant no one to come in and dispell her delusions. All through her career, she was though of as "that weird girl". But soon she would show them. One great, final act of arcane might before the end of senior year.
One month before graduation, the normally reclusive Shisato sent out a text to everyone in her class: be at the Bob's Big Boy in the town square at 5:00 and be ready to see something amazing. At 5:00, Shisato had set up an incredibly unsafe DIY pyrotechnics display in an effort to wow her peers (to this day, no one knows where she got them). At 5:03, a cherry bomb too close to the Bob's Big Boy statue, which fell and unceremoniously crushed the young woman, pounding her head into a chunky paste almost instantaneously.
Her funeral was attended primarily by people getting ready to file a lawsuit against Bob's Big Boys international.
Meanwhile, Shisato herself awoke in another world, like, 90% sure that she has ascended past her mortal shell into supreme enlightenment.
Gift: - Something pertaining to alchemy or transformation
@Protean Pair By the by, I should probably ask instead of just wait, but should I go ahead and post Miyato in the characters tab, or should I wait for my gift, quirks and perks before I do so?
