First the law degree, then patrolling along that accursed curtain, now this...
He was now Detective Alden Großwitz, due to his time in the military, and the law degree he worked for in Munich. Alden was qualified for this line of work, especially for only being 28 years of age. He'd been a detective for a while now, solving cases that were trivial in certain manners but still cases that needed solving. It was only after a violent crime broke out in London that he actually was assigned a partner to make sure he didn't kick the curb when investigating.

Walking down the street, he made his way to the station where his office was located. The day was as any other, rainy and a bit cold. Though that didn't stop Londoners from enjoying their day. And it most certainly didn't stop killers and thieves from doing their work. Walking into the station, it wasn't bustling too much, but there was a small group talking by the chalkboard near the center. Turns out there was a raid that was underway, routing out possible spies in London. Only a handful have been caught, most die before they can be stopped due to the Russian spies always munching down on the cyanide pill they're given if caught.

"Hey there Detective! Beautiful morning isn't it?" A voice said as he hanged his raincoat on the rack and turned. Alden's attire was different from other bobby uniforms to keep people from being super sketchy around him. Wearing a black pair of slacks a black vest, and underneath was a white long sleeve button up shirt, he eminated his own style, though he carried a Mauser C96 pistol modified to take a magazine in his shoulder holster. It was away from what the standard carry pistol was, but he liked it.

"It's rainy as ever." He said giving Mr.Barclay a smile before ascending the stairs to where his office was located. It wasn't anything fancy, but it had a coffeemaker, three filing cabinets a fairly nice wooden desk littered with papers and documents and files, an office chair, and a couple of other chairs for people to talk to him, and then there was a couple small cabinets and a locker. Then on the wall that was open there was a map of Europe and a map of London, where he had several pieces of paper pinned at certain locations and the typical red yarn connecting a few of them to indicate occurrences that are similar in fashion. Opening the door, he noticed something or rather someone sitting in his chair. "Who... Are you?" He asked closing the door.

Elsa Varinski sat quietly in her new partner's office her head hidden behind a yellow case file on his desk. She propped her feet up on the desk and pursed her lips. It had been a long time since she had a partner, and that didn't turn out so well for her last time. She grimaced, thinking about Yuri's smiling face. She re-shuffled, going over her new mantra, New City. New life. New me. She would never be called Alexandra again, and she was happy about it. Hell, she wasn't even that upset about the new partner. She knew it would be a challenge. Most men never really gave her a shot, being that she was only 5,3 and on the leaner side. Being Russian didn't help either, but she never let that get her down. She was confident in who she was and would stay true to herself, regardless of whoever walked through that door.

Speaking of whomever, the door opened quietly and Elsa spoke evenly from behind the papers, her Russian accent thick but her tone soft, "I hope you don't mind that I made myself comfortable. Very interesting reading material you have ere', vouldn't leave something like this on the tabletop. You never know vhen a Russian spy will break in."

She lowered the file and put it back on the desk, giving this new man a smile, her nails were a deep red and her dark hair was up in a slightly bumped ponytail, her sweater dress was a dark mustard yellow. She spoke evenly, a certain amount of charm behind her tone, "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Großwitz. I'm Elsa Varinski, you can call me Elsa if you wish, though. I have an inkling, you and I will become quite close."

She looked over her new partner with warm brown eyes, he was tall, dark, handsome, yet he had a coldness to him that indicated he had a dark past. She looked forward to figuring out what it was.

Alden moved into the room, her joke on the files on his desk was a bit funny, seeing as she was herself Russian. Though there was something else. Her tone was softer, not nearly as harsh as the Russians that he met back in his time guarding the wall, she was casual about it, then her body language was also very calm, she wasn't tense nor making any kind of quick moves as she placed the file down.

He casually walked over to the coffee pot and started it, thanks to it being pre-loaded the night before. He then turned back towards her and gave her a small smile before moving the file she read so he could glance at it. It was a report of last week when he was wrapping up a homicide case.

"The real sensitive documents could never be found by a spy. Though I feel you're definitely not one since you didn't pop a cyanide pill as soon as I walked in." He said chuckling slightly. "Anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you Elsa, care for a cup of coffee?" He asked, his German accent was peaking through slightly, His practiced British accent couldn't fully mask his heritage, and he was doing very little to hide it from her.

Ersa laughed at his response, then gave a sweet smile, "Vell perhaps I am waiting to pop it, vhen the conversation turns drab.

She giggled at her joke then nodded as he offered coffee, noting the fact that he was a kraut, "I vould, love a cup. Thank you! If you prefer to speak in German, I can. My pronunciation is vorth crap, but I like to practice?"

She paused for a moment before continuing in English, "So I assume you have read the case file? An important list of rich Soviet elites who escaped the Gulag's has been taken from the British Embassy. Rumours that it is going on the black market in Prussia makes for a very interesting case." She paused when he asked her what she took in her coffee, "I take it with a smidge of cream."

She leaned forward from her chair to take the hot coffee, her dress riding up slightly to reveal a black garter and a sharp Russian Spetznaz knife. She took a sip and gave him a small smile, "Thank you, darling. So have you given any thoughts on how we should play this? Our flight to Prussia is tomorrow, and I figured we better hash out a story before ve valk in blind."

He gave her joke a smile, as he walked back over and prepared her drink. "As much as I love my native tongue, I think we should remain speaking in English." He said glancing over to her. He had a couple mugs in the room, though he had a special one that was a metallic stein, something he carried over from his army days, something about the stainless steel made coffee taste just right.
As he added the cream, he listened to her talk about the case. He'd glanced over the file the other day, but he figured that he'd give it a bit more thought on the next day. He also thought about her comment on his preference of what to speak in.

As he brought the coffee over, he set the cup in front of her glancing over to the knife. Spetznaz... He glanced up at her face once more and walked over to one of the metal chairs and took a seat. "I think we should look around Prussia, I'm sure you have connections, as well as I and they might know where this list is floating around." He said taking a drink.

"Also, that's a curious blade on your thigh. Steal it from the Spetznaz?" he asked giving her a small grin. "If so, you're quite the partner to have. Although we'll have to work on the outfit color of choice as to not stand out. I think we'll have a great partnership." He said withdrawing a pack of cigarettes and knocking one out.

Elsa pursed her lips at the mention of her knife and the mention of where she got it, "Steal it? Darling, I earned it, and you're the first man I think I've come across who doesn't enjoy this dress."

She sipped her coffee winking at him for a few minutes before she waved away the cigarette he offered, "I do have a few connections in Prussia, I've already contacted another agent in the area who vill pose as our guide. Ludwig Brandenburg is his codename. I don't know if you have heard of him but he's been deep undercover for years. He is villing to help us vith our mission as best he can."

She took another sip of coffee then pulled her feet off the table eyeing the stein held in his hands. Military issue. She would take note of that. She stood up slowly and walked over to his map, "Hard vork you've been doing, Mr Großwitz. Seem's like you've been in London for a while. I'm new to the city, but I can already see it's charm. So have you had a partner before? They sent over your case file to me early, but quite a bit of it was blacked out."

She was about to say something when there was a brief knock on the door. Elsa shrugged as a smarmy secretary with black glasses and a slim polka-dotted dress walked in, speaking in a plucky British accent "Sorry for interrupting Mr Großwitz. I have the new paperwork for Case 2175. Fresh ID's and accounts set up for you both, as to Director Donovan's instructions."

Elsa smiled at the woman and took the ID's from her, reading over them before she handed them to Alden, giggling, "Ah...ve've been married for two years, Mr Brian Vonhammer! Although, it feels as if ve have only just met."

He smiled, a lot of women have tried and failed in charming him, the dress was always the first he shot down, but if the personality fit properly and she was likable, then she may have a chance. "Ah fair enough, though The reason why I asked, was the last person I talked to that had a blade like that, was dead, and they had no background with the Spetznaz. Yet, they had the knife." He replaced the cigs into his vest and took another sip of his coffee. "Hmm... Interesting, I haven't heard of your contact, though I've got several friends over there who I've sent to keep tabs on movements of certain groups of possible suspects and have them procure a few assets while we're in Prussia."

"I've been in London for a few years, though if you ever need a tour, let me know. As for my partner, I've only had one, but he moved to America to break codes and help them do whatever is going on over there." He then took another drink. "On another note if you'd like to tour Germany, you have no choice but to ask me." he grinned as she then mentioned the history on his file. "My file is mostly confidential, not many will know what lies under those black bars. But I can tell you one thing. It was a lot of standing at that wall." He was then interrupted by the knock at the door. The secretary of Director Donnovan, Ms.Celda. The rumor mill had been churning about her moving up to the position by getting cozy with the director. Though that wasn't his mystery to solve.

Taking his I.D. he glanced over his new papers, A night of reading ahead indeed. He couldn't help to feel like he was more of a spy rather than a detective at this point. Though the fake I.D. is necessary to maintain a believable cover. He raised an eyebrow at her comment and looked himself. "Ah, it seems they've listed us as so." He gave her a small grin before looking down to the paperwork once more to scan through his cover. Brian Vonhammer... He internally sighed as he felt his culture be mocked by the Director.

"Anyway, since you're here, I suppose we should get acquainted even more before we go on this trip." He stood and drank the rest of his coffee. "Lets go for a bite, and we'll see how well this will go. Perhaps we'll run into something interesting along the way there." He set the cup next to the small sink in the room.

Elsa kept her lips shut about the knife, not taking the bait and mentioning it again. She smiled at Ms. Celda and spoke softly, "Thank you for bringing us the papers. We will look them over promptly. Also inform Mr. Donovan, that I was thankful for his apartment suggestion. The apartment is stunning and just too my tastes."

After a few interactions of niceties, the secretary had exited the room and Elsa turned to Alden and nodded at his request to go out for a bite. She gulped back the last of her coffee before placing it on the desk. Next she moved to the small rack by the door and pulled down her black wool jacket, and pulled it over her arms. It ended just at the end of her dress. She also pulled down a yellow beret which she popped over her ponytail, "I hope you have a few good suggestions for a place to eat. I am new to London so I haven't tried any of the places in the area. Everyone I've talked to though, recommends the fish and chips!"

She turned back around, nudging past Alden to grab a small red purse which was sitting on the end of his desk, "There all set! How do you like my outfit now. Still too flashy or do you prefer I follow your example of cliche black and white realism, stubble and inexpensive cologne."

She looked up at him with a smirk, watching his reaction at her jest, while she waited for him to open the door for her.

He thought for a moment as he moved towards the door, he knew there was a few good restaurants, though there was also more than a few Taverns to get just as good food, though with the dress she was wearing, showing up to those types of places would be out of the question. "The fish and chips are alright, Though I prefer a sandwich such as a Reuben, or ordering a nice quarter house steak." he said giving her a smile. He didn't plan to go anywhere too fancy, but he also didn't want to take her somewhere she'd stick out like a sore thumb, though with wearing yellow, that'd be hard to disguise.

When she nudged past him, he made way for her to make sure she didn't trip, but also so she couldn't pickpocket him without him seeing. "I already stated my opinion on your outfit, quite frankly, you can wear whatever you please, just know that what you're wearing now is what most detectives despise. Attention..." He said opening the door for her to step out of his office. As soon as she was out, he closed the door behind him, and led her down to the ground floor. He could tell the bobby's within the station had their eyes on her, the room was much quieter than usual. He walked over to the coat rack and pulled his coat off and put it on before opening the door to the outside, the rain had kept to a slight drizzle, and it was looking like it'd stay that way.

"So, why London? What is special about working here?" He asked as he started down a direction, they were a couple minutes away from a small diner where they could talk in quiet, and he could get to know her a bit better for their role.

Elsa pursed her lips, before shrugging as he opened the door walking past him as she spoke quickly, "I happen to like the attention. I've found during my vork that people vho look too hard make assumptions. I choose the assumptions by choosing my outfit. Plus I just love bold colours! The fashion is picking up, I promise you!"

She laughed before following Alden down the stairs, her heels clacking against the wood. She walked past the rest of the officers waving at a few of them with a too sweet smile. As they headed outside, Elsa hustled to keep up with Alden's pace responding quietly to his question, "I wouldn't necessarily say it vas my choice. It was either here or America and let's just say some of us cannot cover our accent as easily. I'm one of the good guy's but American's just see the communist, vith plan's for the Vest's destruction!"

When they reached the Diner, Alden opened the door for her and she gave him a smile, "Thank you!"

She sauntered over to a booth, eyeing the few occupants filling the main dining area, before choosing a booth near the back end of the diner. She pulled off her coat and sat down, crossing her legs, before she began smoothing down her turtleneck. She eyed the gentleman sitting at the main counter, trying to ignore the lewd comments near the back end of the room. "Perhaps I did choose too short a dress.. She smoothed out her expression before she gave Alden a smile, "How about you? Vhy London? Most Kraut's I've met usually despise the Brit's, especially those who have maintained the 'vall?'"

"Ah yes, it would be a stupendously bad idea for you to move to America right now, seeing as they seem to be hunting anything Russian." He noted as he walked, noticing that his stride was a bit longer than hers, he'd have to slow the pace perhaps. As he opened the door to the diner, he followed her to the back, picking a small two person booth, he sat and fielded her questions as they came, trying to ignore the other guys in the room that were giving his new partner lewd looks.

"It's quieter here than at home. I actually have moved twice. I tried to work in the courts within France, but their way of living is just a bit much for me personally. So I came here, and joined on as a detective." He then chuckled at her last comment on Germans hating the British. "I was fairly young when the war came to an end, my family was very appreciative of the Brits and the Americans for keeping at least half of Germany away from the Iron curtain, in fact most of us who grew up in West Germany were raised to appreciate the help provided by the Allies." He paused as he noticed the waitress approached, no older than twenty.

"Good afternoon! What kind of drinks can I get or you two?" The waitress asked. "Guinness for me. And I'll be taking the usual Reuben sandwich today." he said giving her a courteous smile. Quickly she wrote it down and turned to Elsa, waiting for her to order.

Elsa listened ardently, to him discuss his time in Germany before the waitress approached. She grabbed the menu and read it over while Alden made his order. She then turned and spoke softly, "Uh...I'll have the same, but change that drink to a Stolichnaya on ice if you have it. Thankyou."

The waitress nodded then took back the menu with a wink, "Be back in a smidge."

Elsa watched as the men howled and sneered at the young girl as she passed. She shook her head before turning back to Alden, "It's good to hear that your family vere on the right side after the war. My family vere lucky enough to have a few family members in France, so they escaped a few years before things got bad. I was very thankful for the Allies acceptance of them. We had heard that many of my people vere treated rather roughly after the war."

She looked out the window at a couple walking by, "Not to say that being home would have been any better. It wasn't home anymore, but I'm sure you know that though."

Suddenly the waitress popped up with their drinks and sandwiches, "Here you are! Sorry bout the wait!"

Elsa looked at her sandwich, but instead picked up the drink, sipping it slowly, "Mmmm...at least somethings don't change."

He watched her and listened, knowing that it was difficult. So many factors were tied to these conflicts between the east and west, and effectively the only things that changed were the accents and the slight varieties in culture. "I understand what you mean. It's a bit difficult living in a land where everyone perceives you as something else even though you aren't that at all. he said smiling at the waitress, Thank you miss, and if those guys over there give you any more trouble, let me know. He said in a hushed voice so only Elsa and her could hear.

The waitress gave him a smile and nodded "Enjoy your meal, and let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!" She said before going back to deal with her other customers. Alden took a drink of his stout and sighed. "If there's one thing the Irish can do, it's make a good stout...." He started in on the sandwich and started to eat bits at a time. "So, Ms. Elsa, snag any boyfriends in your time here?" He asked, smiling as he took another bite. He wondered what her file looked like, though with that spetznaz knife, he could only imagine the blackout on her own file would be impossible to decode.

Elsa took a few bites of her sandwich, surprised at how good it actually tasted. She smiled at her new partner, as he offered to help out the waitress before he asked her if she was seeing anyone. She put down the sandwich, shrugging, "I've had my offers, but I don't date much. In our line of vork it's easier to remain...untied. So to speak. Not to say a girl can't have her fun."

She took another sip of vodka, "How about yourself? Most men your age are generally married with a baby on the way."

She twirled around the ice in her glass, trying to appear smooth and cultured. When it came to the opposite sex, her experience was minimal unless it was in a work setting. She had to seduce many men in her younger years, but none of those relationships were real. Now that she was a detective/officer, she could separate her life from her work. Unfortunately, she didn't really know how. She tried to date a few times but most of her relationships ended up with her partner getting either too close or too angry at her willfulness. She hated being told what to do, and not many men found it right for her to be so open-minded. Suddenly she had a thought, "You aren't hitting on me are you? You are handsome Mr Großwitz, I'll give you that, but I don't mix business and feelings. I am sure you understand. I may be your vife for the mission but behind closed doors, I hope ve can be good friends. Equal friends. Feelings would ruin it."

She brought up her sandwich and took a large bite, munching quietly as she waited for his response.

He continued to eat as she spoke, she definitely was the type to not stay down with one person. Though when she moved on to him, he washed the food down with a little bit of Guinness. "Yeah, but most men also don't become detectives after leaving the army. That and I just haven't found one who can deal with my long hours and lack of attention at home." He said taking another drink, Besides I've got way too much to do, and having a kid right now isn't a priority for me so I'm not worried about it..

He continued to eat into his sandwich a bit more, he thought about the girlfriend he had before the army, and knew if he could find another like her, then maybe things would be different. But she left him for another older gentleman who had the wealth and the lifestyle seduced her into marriage. So he was happy for her but sad because she didn't wait for him to be done. Maybe that was a reason he moved to London...
"No, I'm not interested in anything but my work. I was just wondering if you had anyone that would be looking for you if you had to do long hours at the office. Or in the unfortunate event of your death if there was a loved one that I could pay my regards to." He said in a solid tone, professional as always.

He took a few more bites, washing down the sandwich in tow as he waited for her to ask him anything.

Elsa finished off her sandwich quickly, never one to waste time for food and motioned to the waitress to get a glass of water. She listened quietly to Alden, raising an eyebrow when he mentioned that most women couldn't handle his long hours. No shit about that one. When he answered her question, she felt slightly rebuffed, moving to down the rest of her drink before she looked outside again. Her words were slightly strained, "Nope. No one to mourn my death apart from my parents, and...perhaps...," she paused slightly in thought, "..No. I guess just them."

She sighed her mouth twitching slightly as her thoughts turned sour. She turned to the waitress as she brought over her water and gave her a nod. She took a sip before she turned back to Alden, "So, how about you? Anybody I should send my regards to in the event of your peril? Parents? Siblings? Cat?"

She thought of her own mother and father, who probably were out with the rest of the aristocracy at some opera or something. She loved them dearly, but they had never been as close as she wanted. She supposed her mother never forgave her for going back to the old country after she had done her best to get her out of it.

He gave her a brief nod, knowing that he could locate her parents in most ways, though from the way she spoke about them, she seemed a bit distant about the topic of her parents. He continued to eat his sandwich, looking as the waitress brought over a water. Then she asked him the same, though the bit about the cat made him chuckle a bit. My Mother in Munich would be good. Other than that, there's no one too special out there for me. He said plainly, before drinking the rest of his beverage. The sandwich was good, though he'd had it many other times in the past, so the taste was the same nearly every time.

He dug into his pocket and laid the exact amount with a bit of change for a tip and left it at the edge of the table for the waitress. He then and started to scoot out of the booth. Well, now that's all ironed out. We'll head back to the office to read down some of this file. Though if you're wanting to see any other parts of London, I'd be happy to show you around.

"I bet she whores whenever she's not workin 'ere. how 'bout it? I'll knob ya nice and quick and you'll get yer tip. One of the rowdy men said rather loudly. Alden looked over to the man, he was from north London, and judging by his voice he was fairly drunk. The waitress looked at them beet red in the face, she only glanced over to see Alden was walking over. "Pardon me what is this I hear? Some drunk fuck that wishes to have his teeth bashed in? Alden said, laying into the practiced British accent. He could sound more German, but he wanted to keep the man from calling him a jerry. How a'bout you fuck off and I'll take this whore over here. He said spitting at Alden's brogue shoes. It was in the moment he did that, Alden gave him one final warning, only this time he withdrew the badge revealing he was in fact an inspector and detective for London and the Crown. Leave this establishment now before I write you a fine... Or worse. Alden said, making his previous threats of violence a bit more obscure. The drunk simply laughed. "Oh mister inspector, what ever will I do? How 'bout I teach you not to fuck with me! The man spat as he withdrew a brass knuckle. But the problem was, he was drunk and was trying to rise out of a booth and hit a Detective standing a meter and a half away. Alden kicked the man back into the booth and withdrew his pistol. Alright charlie boy, you could've kept your fucking mouth shut and listened. Now I'm taking you in and giving you a nice large fine. The pistol was aimed for the mans head, and it was more imposing for the thing had meat and a longer barrel than what most were used to. Upon seeing the pistol, the drunk let the brass knuckle down with a clatter to the floor. Fun fun, to go to the brig, but don't you worry ms waitress. I'll be comin' back for that juicy rump of yers. Alden struck him across the face with the longer barrel only a moment later before grabbing his shirt collar as he dragged him out of the booth onto the floor to arrest the man. "Really need to know when to shut the fuck up..." Alden said as he secured the man's hands behind his back and holstered his pistol. Here, this will cover for today, please have a good day Ma'am. Alden said giving her bit more directly as a tip, but to also apologize for the problems.

Taking no more time, he hauled the man to his feet and started walking out of the Diner. Assuming Elsa was following shortly behind.

Elsa listened to him mention his mother, noting that his father was absent. Possibly dead? she mused quietly to herself. She was about to ask when he got up, and suggested they head back to the office. She smirked, standing up herself, whilst she threw on her jacket and beret. She did the buttons up and pulled open her purse, putting a few more pounds on the table for her own meal and tip.

"As kind as your offer is, I think ve should go back to the office. I vould love to go out and see the city but I have boxes filling my apartment and I have no idea which ones carry my clothes or my toothbrush."

Suddenly she was cut off when the drunk man at the bar started shooting off his mouth to the waitress. Elsa felt a sudden rage in the pit of her gut and was about to walk over when suddenly Alden took the lead, his British accent coming out full force. Elsa stood to the side, letting her new partner take control of the situation. She listened quietly but kept watch on the two other men who were watching the debacle with her. One of them was moving to get up, but Elsa just walked up and slapped a hand on his shoulder, shaking her head at him. The young man was slightly startled but unlike his friend didn't have the gumption to try anything. Suddenly both their attention turned to Alden's gun, which was brought out to make a point. The brass knuckle fell to the floor, and Elsa leaned down to pick it up, placing it over her fingers experimentally. She smirked before turning to the waitress after Alden had apologized for the upset. She spoke softly, "The sandwiches vere delicious Darlin. Best I've had in a long time. Now if you ever find yourself in the same situation, call us."

She looked at the boys for a second before she placed the brass knuckles on the counter, "Or use this to teach a man a lesson, his mother should have taught him years ago. Goodnight boys."

She followed after Alden quickly taking a few moments to catch up, "Quite an entertaining night. Shame ve vere having such a lovely evening."

The man in Alden's cuffs was sobering up slightly and spoke out angrily, "You fucking commy bitch. I can show you a lovely time indeed when I..."

Elsa grabbed his arm from behind Alden and yanked it up to an uncomfortable angle. With his arms held together behind his back, his shoulder was stretched out enough to make the man scream. Elsa responded calmly, "I'm sorry...sir, but I believe I vas talking to my partner. If you vould like to comment, please vait your turn, until I am done speaking."

She let the man's arm go as she looked up to Alden and shrugged before they headed into the station. Once the man was booked and behind bars, Elsa followed Alden back to his office, ignoring the looks of interest and disdain she was getting. When the door was promptly shut, Elsa took off her coat and let out a breath, "That poor girl. Too young to have to deal with such barbarism. By the way that is an interesting veapon you have there. Not standard issue I see."

She pulled off her Beret and plopped it on the table taking a seat in the metal chair as she grabbed up some of the paperwork Ms. Celda brought in. She lifted it up and spoke softly, "So I suppose ve best get on this as soon as possible. Do you have any guesses as to whom vould have taken the list? From vhat I've initially read, it was stolen. Very strange to have such a piece of information taken from such a place of high security. There isn't much investigation on how it was extracted. Vhy is that you think?"

He kept walking down the sidewalk as he kept the perp in front of him, kicking his ankles if he wasn't keeping a good pace. He then turned his attention partially to his partner as she caught up. When the drunkard piped up and interrupted Elsa, he almost moved to do something, but was cut off by the sudden movement of her raising his arms in the cuffs. "Yeah, it was going pretty well. Until this asshole had to start something and remind me that there's still shits in the world." He said as he opened the door for her and the perp. The process of getting him into the books was easy as always, he'd been on file already, but now he'd be facing a bit more of a heavy cost this time around. After reversing the cuffs so they were at the front, he walked him into the cell where they kept several others waiting to be processed for court. "Have fun with that legal doctrine. And I'd avoid saying anymore you'll regret." Alden shot off at him with a smile, before walking out of the shared cell and made his way over to Mr. Barclay. "Alright, now that's out of the way, is there anything else you'd like me to get done before I go to working on this case?" Barclay shook his head, "Not really, things have been pretty quiet so far, though this new one you wrangled is the most news we've had of disturbance in the last few hours. Alden nodded and started up to the office. Let me know if you need anything, see you around.

It was a minute or so later, he made his way up to the office trailing behind Elsa and opened the door for her. When she mentioned the barbarism Alden nodded, When working in this line, pulling drunks out of bars isn't too much of a big deal, this one was a bit more unique due to him pulling his brass knuckles out on me. He then smiled when she noticed his pistol wasn't standard issue. "Yeah, I'm not a fan of revolvers, so I requested something with a bit more heft, and something that was from the older days. Although, the .1911 the Americans carry look pretty nice as well." After saying that, he moved to sit in the comfy office chair. Pulling up a separate file and started reading through on some of the details.

Knocking out one of the cigarettes, he lit it as she asked her question on who he thinks did the stealing, and why it hadn't been more high priority for the British parliament. Well, from what I can gather, there's a few on the inside, that either... wanted to make some extra cash so handed it off, then held off any investigation after it had been reportedly stolen... Or there's a single person within the Embassy who was able to worm their way in and steal the list." he released a small cloud upward. "I have many questions and looking to do when we get there. But my money is on the group. Carrying out something like this, is usually a group effort, and one person waving off an investigation usually raises too many red flags. He said looking up to her. "What's your take on this?"

Once Alden had answered her question, Elsa nodded in agreement. This definitely felt like a multiple person operation, over a single vigilante spy. She still felt there was something strange about the whole thing. It was too clean. Everything just seemed to fit too well. She was still thinking when he inquired about her thoughts. She shook her head slightly before speaking, "Vell I vasn't given much information in Zurich, vhere I was working for the past few years, so I am not as vell informed about London operations. Aside from that, I concur that it seems like a group seems more plausible. I want to show you something though."

She bit her lip, flipping a few pages of the file before she stood up and placed it in front of Alden. She leaned over the desk pointing to a certain article written by a Maurice Clinton. She spoke evenly, "I did, however, find this specific portion quite interesting. Mr Clinton is head secretary for MI6. He's a dinosaur of the industry and has been typing reports for years. Nothing goes through him before it hits the copier. Note this part here. 'List composed on the 12th of December, of 1953 by Roger Duglan, CEO of Kassel Industries at the Gala of Saint Peter.' Now Roger Duglan was the CEO of Kassel Industries, but not in 1953. That was Yorik Manslev. Duglan vas only a minor secretary at the time. Now usually most vould see this as a clerical error, but Clinton doesn't fuck up like that. I've read enough of his work to know, the man is efficient. I've been combing this document for hours to see if there are any other errors. There are none. However, I think this document was altered, and I think that Yorik Manslev's name being left out, is not a coincidence."

She stood up and let him look at the page, before she spoke again, "I know, it's a reach, but I feel in my guts that this is something. I feel like Manslev is key and all I know is ve have to check him out vhen ve reach Prussia. What do you think of all this though?"

Suddenly she saw the clock and her brown eyes warmed, "Oh...it's later then I thought. I should be heading home soon. Ve have an early flight tomorrow and I still need to pack and go over our identities. I want to know all about..."

She pulled up her new passport and blinked, her tone turning to disgust, "Minerva...Vonhammer. Jeez. Who comes up with these. Anyvays about tomorrow. Should I meet you at the airport or are you just going to come collect me at my apartment in the morning? I can give you the address.
