As a well-known songstress, Aria is a bubbly, charismatic young woman. She's very open and welcoming, able to communicate with nearly anyone while keeping a bright smile on her face. She's curious about others, always wanting to delve into her thoughts, though she is quick to put up her own walls when inquired about. Despite her sunny appearance, she tends to get lost in thought a lot, and is on the forgetful side of things. She seeks to avoid fighting and arguments, though understands they're inevitable. Often, she prefers to keep her insecurities and fears to herself, though once in a while she'll let her true feelings slip.
Public Biography:
The House of Eldoris is one of knowledge, as their patriarch Lorenzo Eldoris pioneered Dogma research, and it is rumored that the Eldoris line were once royalty. These days the latter is forgotten, but the family of prominent scholars and researchers ensured that the name Eldoris would be recognized world wide and revered in Escain. The family has amassed great wealth due to their contributions and has grown wide, though the family secrets are kept tight under lock and key. Born the third child of Vivace and Lirit into the branch family Cadewyn, Aria grew up in wealth and lavished in knowledge. When her proficiency for magic was discovered, the family was able to hire a mentor from Raelin and she was able to study privately. Her parents would also make sure to groom Aria into a woman of faith from a young age, cementing her belief in the gods and had her tutor include lessons about the gods in her education. Perhaps it was because of that faith that Aria would blossom into a talented summoner, her white magics on par with those years ahead of her. The pressure was insufferable, though she found her escape in music, often escaping her home to go perform on the street. Her voice attracted many, and with her summoning talents revealed to the public as well, Aria's celebrity status was all but cemented. She earned her freedom at last, traveling around the world to put on performances wherever and whenever she was asked. At first, she relished the freedom, though she would realize soon that she traded one prison for another. She couldn't so much as walk down the street without being recognized, and there was more than a few occasions where she was hassled. Still, she chose to embrace her glided cage as well as her many fans--she truly loved to perform and reach out to people.
She has two elder sisters, Cadenza and Sonata. She has little contact with her family, though they write to one another on occasion.
The House of Eldoris has long been experimenting on any child with any sort of magical ability, wishing to raise an army of artificial summoners, their goal of bringing forth Alexander being their endgame. As the bloodline has produced many prolific mages, they were deemed the perfect candidates. Their experiments have resulted in many deaths, though they believe their success outweighs the downfalls. While it was mostly those of the main house--those who were believed to be the 'purest'--with whom the experiments were performed on, it was discovered that the branch families also held just as much potential. After the success of Vivace summoning at a tender age, they wed her to Lirit, another summoner, in hopes their children would all inherit their power.
Sure enough, the three first-born showed promise. However, Harmonia showed signs of instability and an ineptitude at actually controlling her powers. Despite their attempts to seize control, a summon resulted in the deaths of many, and the destruction of one of the facilities. Cadenza and Sonata, the two eldest, had their memories sealed away and were monitored closely, although it would result in all the sisters losing the memory of Harmonia. When Aria was shown to have an aptitude for magic, they used a more subtle approach, using the excuses of gifted jewelry in a way to both monitor her and quietly give her the ability to summon. It was much more successful, though they showed concern when Aria began to gain popularity as a songstress. Rather than make any unneeded risks of exposure, they chose instead to gift her a pair of bangles, hoping they would amplify her powers.
After all, Alexander will only answer the call of their best...

A majority of her summons come from her home country, although she picked up Carbuncle after visiting Songdae for a concert. Ah, Limit Break skills now no longer have scaling, but their power scales with how many Limit Points you decide to spend when you use it.
For example if you used the summon Agni with one Limit Point, then it'd be about as strong as a normal skill, but if you used 5, then you'd be able to summon a large phantom of Agni to execute a powerful attack.
It may be better to describe what the escalation is. I see you are using the old version of the system, so you may want to review skills in the sheet. @CaptainSully@Hero
There were a lot of problems with people obtaining Limit Break 3 skills too early that they'll never use to start with, so I figured this way you can obtain Limit Break skills at your own pace.
Anyways, before I can fully open the two things need to be done (which I will be working on), Status Effect rules, and How To Level Up. The latter is tied to progression in this RP which is by pursuing quest chains or lore stuff.
@Sho Minazuki sorry for whatโs likely to be a dumb post but Iโve just woken up .
Do you mean that the limit break doesnโt need the stats part? So in my characters instance i wouldnโt need to put the [Str 10 / Dex 10]? Then in addition to that, I need to explain the differences between whether I used 1 limit point for the move or say five?
So anyway, what do you think of my character on the whole? I only ask because I have a wide open weekend and plenty of time to flesh out backstory as long as itโs acceptable to you
I have edited my CS somewhat, for your convenience I'll go ahead and list things here for you:
Removed stats from the Party Panic Limit Break.
Knife Toss can now potentially cause Bleed.
Edited flavor text of Bouncy Ball to include the Chocohop Performance.
Added slight flavor text and a small buff to Jenga's Starting Armor.
* Light Clothing - Regular clothing. 0+Stats * Jester Hat - A hat worn by members of the Gracious Songbird Circus. 0+Stats * Scarf - A scarf to fight off the cold. +10% resistance to Ice
Added a Legacy Skillset: Perform and it's first (and only, for now) skill, Chocohop.
(Legacy)Perform: Performances developed by Gracious Songbird Circus members. If Jenga could find his friends during the journey, they may just teach him their unique tricks to add to his arsenal and aid everyone on their quest.
* Chocohop[D10S5] - Jenga's Trick. Hops in the air atop a bouncing ball, stomping it down on an opponent's head before bouncing behind them to put enemies into a pincer attack.
I didn't want to leave out his chance to gain a few unique attacks throughout the story, so I finally decided on something for him. The mindset I tried to have for it was perhaps for him to gain one Legacy technique per arc as he encountered old circus members scattered after the ship incident. No certainties yet.
Just wanted to make sure all of this was put out, as I don't like making people read through my entire CS to find changes, hah.
This is so far what it will be for status effects and leveling. It is subject to having more added between chapters to balance things in case something gets out of hand in that chapter, so keep that in mind.
Considering Seizure fits into the DOT status section, I think I will end up keeping Ole for the long haul. Helps in case there needs to be magic-based enemies berserked, too. Or if something has the dreaded auto-berserk or casts it in the middle of a fight.
2. = yeah fuck off my backstory bruv these knives aren't for show /s
3. =
OR FF7 Machinabridged reference.
OH MY GOD! WE'RE BEST FRIENDS?
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
In all seriousness it might be a different troupe, unless when the Gracious Songbird Circus' ship was destroyed by pirates, he escaped with who he could rescue (or by himself) and moved on. I planned on there being other survivors that scattered themselves afterwards, so it'd fit in just fine if you wanted to go down that route.
At the start of the RP it's been around ~3 years and a month and a half since the incident happened, so I don't know if it can fit into a timeframe for your character, but if you want to make it work, we certainly can.
If not, still cool to have them both go on the trade, even if his is just more for survival. Witnessing a Dragoon performing and bringing smiles to others would excite Jenga quite a bit.
@Todd Howard well seeing as you got the reference then I think having them know each other would be best
Iโll write him in as joining about a year before the disaster. Iโll then make it so that he flew on ahead to their destination. Obviously the ship never arrives. In the three years that follows heโll have been searching for any possible survivors while making ends meet by any means necessary. Dare devil stunts, monster slaying...whatever the place he visits needs.
In terms of a reunion, we could do it early on or leave it until the RPs gone on for a bit. Entirely up to you.
We'll see how the RP goes. I'm sure eventually the GM is going to pull the group together in some way, so they'll probably end up meeting again within too long.
Only thing I can potentially see as an issue is the Songdae/Raelin nationality clash. But Jenga isn't exactly political, he just loves his culture. It probably won't crop up as much of an issue but it's noteworthy, ha.
@Todd Howard well part of Leo's backstory was realising that Raelin isn't exactly the "good guys". I'm going to look at writing up the backstory properly now, hopefully will make things easier.
