After that eventful night and finding his roommate with a girl in their room who...well...looked like sasquatch, Dav managed to have an okay day as far as academics went. What was so special about today though? Ah! yes...power training day. A day where some would find it fun like PE and then some would feel too timid about using their powers because of how destructive or dangerous it is. And then there were some that didn't want to use their powers for the fact they felt was too ineffective to use in combat. Regardless, it was a must that students participated in this. Why else would one come to this school other than to be safe from the rest of the world and to keep the rest of the world from danger of their powers?

Dav was out in Roxgeo Forest when Dr. Allison Roy announced the pairings but...Dav did realize she seemed to be behaving rather weirdly. He didn't push the issue but if others noticed, more than likely they will start to talk or actually ask her if there were any problems. But...right now, Dav had to team up with someone named Adrien. Who the hell was Adrien? Dav didn't get to know too many people other than the ones who had specific contact with but looking up at the special hologram screen that the Dr. Roy put up for everyone to see the pair, it showed the image of who each person will team with. Dav took a closer look and raised an eyebrow.

@Rabidporcupine
The dark skinned boy looked around until spotting who he was teaming with. A.....robot? At first he looked at the screen and thought it was just a mask he wore wondering if he was some sci fi fanatic but this guy...thing was actually a machine. Little did Dav know, the boy was more than likely not ALL machine.

With a deep inhale and exhale, Dav walked over to his team up partner, not knowing what to expect and was a little amusing seeing a machine wearing clothing but hey...who is he to judge? The 6 foot male walked up to the boy. Not saying anything at first while his eyes scanned the machine. Well...he shouldn't call him a machine...he didn't want to offend him outright. Um....hey....I'm Davarius. You're Adrien right? Guess we're partners for now... Not really knowing what else to say at this moment. His eyes averted for a moment before looking into his...eye? I don't mean to sound rude or ignorant but...is that just a body suit or is that your actual machine body? He said in a curious tone and with a curious but also serious expression. Dav never seen something like this before. He waited for an answer first before speaking more as the dark skinned male had his hands in his pockets.

Yeojung "Yunnie" Bae

After the events of Yunnie's late-night excursion, it must be said that she slept like a log. The illusions put on her clothes dissipated soon after she returned to her apartment and collapsed on her bed as Yunnie's powers wore off and it was no longer the priority--that being replaced by the heaviness in her eyelids as she hurriedly prepared for bed. The energy expended by Yunnie's powers enough to put her to the sleep the moment she snuggled under the covers, and upon waking up, she could only stare at the clothes scattered on the floor and think, "What, exactly, happened last night?"

Thankfully, nothing scandalous took place--unless you count spying and sneaking out as scandalous, which makes sense. Still, Yunnie is glad to attribute her light headache and rumpled clothes to the mysterious rendezvous in the courtyard and not to the party.

Getting ready, Yunnie thinks back to last night--was it really nothing? Or would something else pop up? It's a mystery, but she's definitely going to start keeping on eye out for suspicious masked man, or the headmaster. Hm, should she go with the hearts again or something easier and less... flashy? They are doing some sort of physical training today, so she shouldn't dress her best, or her clothes could get wrecked. Who knows how aggressive it could get?

Once Yunnie is finished with her extensive morning routine and following the other students to the forest, her mind is focused on the day at hand and a worrying rip in her white cat stockings, last night's worries temporarily forgotten. Brown hair flies as she scans the area, looking for the boy assigned to train with her. Hopefully he's not wanting to spar; Yunnie can dodge alright, but barely throw a punch. (She has noodle arms. But perfect fashion sense!)

Catching sight of a tired-looking boy out of the corner of her eye, Yunnie decides he's the one. The hologram says so. Probably. Brushing off the imaginary dust on her patchwork denim jacket as her nerves threaten to overtake her, Yunnie sucks in a deep breath and dedicates a minute of last minute do-I-really-look-okay time before going over to where he stands. Knees knocking (but only a little!) and hands in the pockets of her high-waisted shorts, Yunnie takes a good look at her partner--he's older than her, probably by a few years, and he has a nose piercing! Not that Yunnie can't appreciate street style, but her parents would bury her alive if she ever got as much as a second piercing--it took her literal years of begging to convince them to let her pierce her ears.

It looks cool on him, though. His hair could use a little work, but she's guessing he's the kind to not care.

"Um... Excuse me... you're Aaron, right? I'm your partner, I guess. I-I'm Yeojung, but you can call me Yunnie if you want!" Voice wobbling slightly when she finally attempts to start a conversation, Yunnie looks up at her partner--she tends to do that a lot, since she's... small. (Five feet two inches, to be exact!) He's not one of the kids she met last night, though she can see them milling around the forest, like her. Well, that means she doesn't have to worry about weird midnight occurrences. Kind of relief, actually.

"A-anyway...! I don't know what we're really supposed to be doing, since my power isn't very... weaponizable. It's just some sort of illusion thing." To demonstrate, Yunnie touches her hair bow, turning it from pink plaid to navy blue with stars. "Like that. Ta-da."

It was pretty cool being in the outside world, Adrien decided. He'd wanted to do it earlier, but he couldn't really let people see him until he got to the academy, and then once he did get there, he had to immediately plug himself in to charge for two days because all he had for the trip was a crappy travel charger which barely even worked. From what he'd heard, this meant he'd also missed a student party he could've used to seamlessly integrate himself into the student body, which kinda sucked.

However, he had a second chance here, and from the sounds of it, he'd even finally get to field test his combat capabilities against an actual person! Finally, after so long,he'd be able to make a few friends other than his brother, and in the process he'd get to fight something other than training drones. If that wasn't a sign from the universe telling him that life was good, he didn't know what was...

Excited, he looked over to the screen, analysing the image of his partner, a young man named Davarius Hicks. He was just about to begin searching for the guy when he heard a voice coming from next to him, and turned to see Davarius himself walking up to introduce himself.

"Oh cool, I was just about to start looking for you." He said, his voice sounding mostly human except for a slight synthetic echo. "Yeah, I'm Adrien. Nice to meet'cha Davarius."

He held out his hand for a handshake, trying to remember the correct ways to interact with other people from his lessons. He was pretty sure what he was doing was right, but it couldn't hurt just to double check. In fact, as he thought that, he initiated a quick subroutine to analyse and record Davarius's movement and speech patterns, because the extra information could only help.

"Oh, nah, don't worry about it." He said, waving off the guys concern over being rude when he asked about Adriens body. "Yeah, it's my body. Pretty much all my original body's gone except for a couple of brain bits. That might sound a little depressing, but it's mostly just pretty cool. As it turns out, being able to customise your body any way you like makes life a whole lot more interesting..."

He trailed off for a moment, lost in thought, before returning to the present.

"But hey, enough about me, what's your story?" He asked excitedly. "What're your powers? And are they strong enough that you'd be willing to spar? Also how fast can you move, because I've wanted to test this new mobility configuration out for a while, but I had to charge once I got here, so I haven't really gotten the chance yet."

Ronnie had not been at the party for a number of reasons. All of them could be grouped under the conclusion that last night had been horrid, and more exhausting than normal. One, he wasn't a fan of parties. The noise, the people, it wasn't really his scene. It wasn't that he didn't like parties, per se, but the situations often made him feel trapped, made him feel as if his lungs were seizing up on him. During his stay at Skyline Academy, which had been about a year, Ronnie hadn't really made any close friends. Most people he interacted with were in the dreamscape, and half the time they were being chased or falling or their home was on fire, etc. Most people didn't think twice about Aaron when they woke up the next day.

For a person of his ability, it would be assumed that he would not be able to oversleep. And of course, normally Ronnie wasn't the person to oversleep, he woke up after he visited and/or helped his brother. However, Vincent had had a particularly violent dream last night, which would be expected. Most of the time they were reflective of his time in the police force, but his latest dream was particularly disturbing. This time, Vincent was the bad guy of the dream, armed and dangerous. Normally Ronnie could manipulate the dreamscape to remove possible threats, but he wasn't good at it, and rarely tried it on the dreamers themselves. To fight a dreamer, he'd have to remove them from their own dream, which would make certain their dreaming form would sustain damage. Plus, Ronnie wasn't exactly expecting to fight his brother. The whole dream ended when Ronnie was shot three times. Two of the shots were fatal, on to the head, and one to the heart, the last one to his leg, which was more of a disabler than anything. Ronnie had died several times in his dreaming form, but the pain never left. The fear was present as well, but Ronnie knew he would wake up the next day after he'd had his regenerative sleep.

Vincent had woken up almost immediately after he'd shot his brother, obviously shaken by the whole thing. That left Ronnie to die in the dreamscape alone. It didn't take long, but due to the incredible damage he'd taken in the dreamscape, his regenerative sleep took much longer than usual. He woke up around 3 with a vague ache in his body, a swift reminder of what had happened last night. Unassuming of his time crunch, he'd hopped in the shower to let the warm water wash away his the dull ache and the stress of last night. He sure was thankful damage that occurred in the dreamscape stayed in the dreamscape. He'd visit Vinnie again tonight to check in on him. He doubted Vinnie would be asleep now, and with a twinge of sadness figured he'd probably be having a panic attack right now from the dream. He hadn't been able to help him, at least not tonight.

He didn't realize how late he was until he got out of the shower. He wasn't quite late yet, but if he didn't get it together, he would be. He decided to skip a real meal, rather in favor of not being late for meeting his partner. They were to practice their powers with a partner, assigned via hologram. He'd rushed up to the forest as quickly as he could, scanning the clearing for his assigned partner. She finds him first, and he looks over (or down rather, his 6 foot in comparison to her 5'2 makes her kind of really short next to him, he notices with a smile.) suddenly when she speaks, slightly startled. Jumpy from last night wouldn't cover it. He really hopes he doesn't have to fight anyone today.

"Uh, yeah, I'm Aaron." He distracted, and he knows it, so he focuses on being more present. He doesn't want to anger his partner within the first couple minutes of meeting her. "Sorry... long night. You can call me Ronnie if it suits you better. Whatever works." He manages a smile, but meeting new people never has been his strong suit. People in general tend to stress him out, but he notes she appears slightly nervous herself, so hopefully this whole thing will be non-confrontational physically or verbally.

"Good that," he says when he tells him her powers aren't offensive, it looks like he'll catch at least one break today. He smiles when she shows her his powers, it's pretty cool. "I'm not a fighter either. I'm a somnokinetic dreamwalker. I just make people go to sleep and change their dreams." He shrugs, unsure how to show her without actually using it on her. "I can show you if you want?"

Aira’s eyes twitched and stung when they came into contact with the light from the sun that entered her room from the window. All it really took was one look at her wall clock for her to shake the early morning drowsiness away.

When she finally looked up, her schedule, almost too voluntary, immediately flashed in the back of her head.

Training Class. Right.
And with a swift pull of her blanket off of her body and muscles still asleep, she exerted into a tiny morning routine of stretches before she headed to the shower where the warm water hit her to take a little stroll down dreamworld lane where Aira started to sink into her deep thoughts.

She distinctively remembered the people she had encountered last night and all that she’d seen that had something to do with their headmaster. Her curiosity only began to rise with so many questions popping up. What exactly is going on with the headmaster? Who were those people with him? Moreover, her guts just couldn’t stop punching her on how urgent it may have seemed. Could it be… dangerous?
Aira knew that these thoughts would only have to be saved for later. She wasn’t the only witness - dealing with something as shady as this alone is definitely not a positive option. In any cases, training classes were calling.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Aira deeply inhaled the fresh air when she finally set foot in Roxgeo forest where it was already crowded with students. And in the middle of the crowd, she could easily spot Dr. Allison Roy interacting with others awhile displaying a visible hologram, lined with pictures of students.

It then struck Aira how this training class included having partners. She made her way closer to the hologram while glancing around to already see students interacting with one another. At one point, she was able to spot the glitter girl, Yunnie, shyly exchanging convos with a curly-haired young man who looked quite taller than her. And on the other side of the forest, she found Dav, shaking hands with… with a robot? Aira’s blinked a few times, witnessing the exchange. She was left in amusement, finally seeing what looked like a cyborg in real life. This only made Aira more excited to know who she would be paired up with! Another robot? Another witch perhaps?!

As she came closer to the hologram, her eyes scanned along the faces of students completely unfamiliar to her until she finally found her name and face. And right next to her picture was her assigned partner; a completely unknown female student with dark brown hair, appearing quite… normal. Aira paused for a few seconds, eyes locked at the picture of her partner as she felt a little piece of her soul sink. “Well…she shouldn’t be so bad,” Aira muttered to herself. Taking a mental note of her facial appearance, Aira ventured off around the forest to search for “Morrigan Dorval”.

There were so many students, and the search was pretty rough. Luckily the training hasn’t started yet. But after what felt like a while, she was able to spot out a young-looking lady with long dark brown hair entering the forest. Aira felt her soul do a little victory dance - she was certain that it was her.

Once Aira found her looking quite lost, she took the opportunity to take a deep breath before approaching her with a single touch on her shoulder. “H-Hey.” Once Aira signaled her presence to her, she strangely felt her hand go cold, as if she was touching an ice pack that was taken out of the freezer a couple of hours ago, but the chill was still there. But trying her best to give away a calm first impression, Aira simply took her hand back, as long as she was able to catch her partner’s attention. “U-Uhh, do you happen to be Morrigan? M-Morrigan Dorval?” Aira asked her, trying not to sound too sudden.

As Aira waited for a confirmation from the girl, she shed a warm smile and extended her hand out for the other girl to shake or hold as a sign of peace between two new comrades. “I’m Aira, by the way! It’s nice to meet you.”

In the next moment, Aira wasn’t sure if it was just her or if the air around her, or them, suddenly got a bit chilly.

Rainna Rivera

Rainna's day of classes had been everything she had expected - being swamped with remarks like "Awesome party," and "You were gone like, forever," as well as with questions such as "Where did you go?" and "What happened to you?" from fellow students who had obviously been at the party the night before. They came up to her in the classrooms, along the corridors, basically anyway she went. Of course, remembering how she and the others who had witnessed the 'incident' had agreed to keep it among themselves for the time being, she had to come up with some excuse for her disappearance and proceeded to repeat it to anyone who asked throughout the day. She could not even remember half of the students who had spoken to her, and made a mental note to start asking people for names the next time she opened her dorm to the student body.

The late afternoon saw the student cohort of Skyline where they would usually be on that day and time of the week - at their regular power training session in the middle of Roxgeo Forest. As she made her way over to the clearing where the rest were gathering, Rainna realized that it had been the longest time she had been left alone for during the day, and concluded that anyone who wanted to speak to her about the party had already done so. The steps for the session were very routine for any student who had been at Skyline for at least a month, and Rainna found herself searching for her name and image on the large hologram screen like she always would to find her assigned partners. Well, she remembered who her past partners were, at least.

Despite not having been paired up with her current partner before, that trench coat which he almost always wore ensured that she recognized him right away. It had also been how she had identified him the night before. Surely there was no point in pretending that neither of them saw what they did then, but what good would come out of discussing it anyway? He was not difficult to spot in the crowd of students, and she immediately approached him with a warm smile gracing her lips.

"Adam Hill," she began. "It's great to finally put a name to the face. How about a special ability as well?"

Rainna reach down and picked a piece of bark off of the forest ground. She then blew on it, channeling a stream of white mist through her lips and onto the wood. The contact emitted a subtle hissing noise as the bark began to disintegrate, and she casually dropped it before the effects of the mist ate it up completely. A faint floral scent lingered in the air for a moment and then vanished as she turned back to Adam with a grin.

"Your turn, Sweetie."

@PokimKyOshi

Morrigan woke up the next morning after seeing the weird exchange between the Headmaster and the masked man. She stood up and changed into black jeans and a Halestorm tee-shirt. She wiped away some frost from her window and squinted her eyes. She could feel pulsing into her room from the sun and she lowered the temperature a few more degrees. Satisfied with the adjusted chill she left her room and made her way to the cafeteria. There she picked up a steaming cup of coffee and allowed her power to flow into the cup chilling it. She barely noticed as other students shivered at her approach and moved out of her way.

Classes proceeded as normal for most of the morning and at lunch Morrigan ate alone as she usually did. Not many others wanted to be to close to the girl that reminded most of an industrial freezer. She was running a few moments late to training class due to a kid bumping into her and making a smart remark, so she froze the bottom of his shoes and watched as he went sliding out of control down the hallway and into a trash can. As she emerged from the tree line and began walking up to the holoscreen to see what was up, a hand touched her and was pulled by quickly.

Morrigan turned to face the person who approached her and was met with a girl who radiated nervous energy but was doing her best not to sound it. The other student asked if she was her partner and smiled and introduced herself as Aira and reached out her hand.

She is to damn happy and warm. Morrigan thought to herself. But she extended her hand regardless and shook the other students hand, making sure to make it even colder as she did so. "Yes I am Morrigan, a pleasure to meet you I am sure." She said with indifference. "So I am to assume we are to spar with each other? Where the rules of this explained before I got here?" She still shook hands with Aira and made sure the temperature dropped a few more degrees in her hands.

Adam Hill

Running a hand through his somewhat messy mop of hair, he chuckled for a moment. "Heheh, sweetie, that's a new one." He ran his eyes over his partner for a moment, before opening his mouth again: "You were homeless at one point in time, the way you carry yourself suggests that." Adam probably could have come up with something better then that, but he didn't want to accidentally pry into Rainna's life a little to much. "Pleased to make your acquaintance Rainna." Adam gave no indication that he remembered the party or the events that had unfolded outside, but within his ever working brain, he was running analyses, still trying to figure out what the trade off had been about.

One conclusion he'd come to was that the Headmaster had a son none of them had been aware of, even if this seemed unlikely, and some shadowy group used that as a bargaining chip to get some sort of weapon that could be used to destroy the superhuman populace. Less likely a scenario was that it was all a big misunderstanding and they were trading for something that belonged to the other because they'd each lost something. The Headmaster did seem like the kind to forget a child on occasion, but this was more of a humorous possibility then anything.

Still in thought, Adam's mind unconsciously took hold of several dead leaves lying about on the ground, slowly decaying away, lifting them from the ground they lay upon, and let them dance around Rainna, much like tiny ballerinas. He'd never watched a ballet, but he had a faint idea as to how they moved, plus, they were just leaves, it wasn't difficult to spin them like corkscrews in the air. "Enjoy my party tricks?"

A few lose stones lying scattered about on the ground rose up lazily and landed in his open palm, and his lips curled into a small grin.

"Yes I am Morrigan, a pleasure to meet you I am sure."
Before Aira could even display her glee, the next moment the girl introduced herself and finally gave the chance to shake Aira’s hand, Aira felt a chillingly cold sensation that ran across the palm of her skin, which only got colder and colder each second the more Morrigan held on to her hand. Like the vibration of a cello string when strummed, the chill rang from Aira’s hand up to her whole arm and passed on to the rest of her body that made her start to lightly shiver. The temperature around them solidly dropped, unmistakably.

"So I am to assume we are to spar with each other? Were the rules of this explained before I got here?" Morrigan resumed to ask her, still holding on to Aira’s hand that was practically in the verge of getting minor frost bites, as if she was holding snow without gloves. Morrigan looked unusually calm and unbothered on what was happening around them as Aira momentarily glanced at her with the look of sheer baffle on her face. Was it really just her? Was her head playing games? How is she not noticing this?! Is nobody seeing this?!

“Err- No! No no, not yet. Dr. Allison hasn’t said anything yet, so don’t worry!” Aira expressed at her with her absolute best of remaining calm, but the tone came out in a more frantic note as she gave Morrigan’s cold hand light taps using her other hand as a sly approach to say ‘its alright to let go now’ as she slowly got to release her hand from her grasp.

“Well, uhh…” As Aira spent a few second rubbing her hands together to bring back her normal temperature up and to be able to withstand the slight drop of temperature around them, she looked around her surroundings to see if the class has already begun. Seemed like it was still on hold, but she could see from a clear distance Rainna being fascinated at the sight of what seemed like dead leaved floating around her. Perhaps the mastermind behind it was the young boy in a long trench coat that interacted with her while the leaves continued to flutter in the air.

“Oh! Right!” Aira quickly exclaimed as she turned her attention back at Morrigan with a quick swift. “What abilities can you do? Or…what are you?” She asked her partner in a rather active tone. “I’m a sorceress. I’m still studying a lot about other powers that I can do! Like this,” With a short quite chant, Aira’s open hand pointed at a small stone lying just beside Morrigan’s foot as the stone started to levitate off of the ground. Aira carefully displayed her telekinesis ability and lifted up the stone just by Morrigan’s vision for her to see. And just after a few seconds of sufficient demonstration, the stone dropped back down to the ground with a light thud. “I can also shape-shift myself into a Phoenix and I’m currently trying to perfect my power on Invisibility and healing! But my main power?”

Like a grand performance number and with a soft but focused chant, on Aira’s open palms appeared flickering flames that sat just on the very tips of her skin. The fire girl proudly displayed them in front of Morrigan with a contented smile on her face as she looked back up at her partner and waited for any kinds of response from her. At one point, Aira exhaled a quiet "Phew." as she felt the temperature around them returning back to it's original state.

“What about you, Morrigan?” She posed her partner, tints of pride lacing themselves around her throat as she spoke.

Yeah...Dav was paired up with quite an interesting one. He froze for a moment hearing the way his voice sounded. If it didn't sound futuristic enough...he didn't know what would. At least he could say that this cyborg has manners. Dav looked down at the hand as he wanted to shake and with a smirk forming on his face, Dav couldn't help but speak his mind. Handshakes are cool...when you're going on a job interview, meeting the girlfriend's parents, or if you're part of some country club but with me, you can greet me with this. Dav formed his hand into a fist and stretched his arm out towards Adrien for a fist bump. You can just fist bump me...but do it gently...I wanna keep my knuckles. Not knowing if Adrien would pay attention to the force he'd use. Sometimes machines are strong.

With Adrien's reassurance that Dav was not being rude, the cyborg brought out some interesting points about himself with his body and customizing it. Must've meant that he could upgrade himself any and every time he needs to progress in something. Very convenient, Dav thought. What could've happened to him to make him only have a machine body? Accident or something? He wasn't going to ask such personal stuff just yet. That's what's up. I think with that you'd stand out but that's a good thing. He mentioned.

When asking about him, Dav looked down at the ground still wearing a smirk. There ain't nothin' really special about me. I'm just a black kid from the hood struggling with everyday life living in poverty. Gained my abilities while I was threatened and after that, here I am. Just wanna be something more than just a kid from the ghetto.

His next question about his abilities and if he's fast, Davarius raised an eyebrow. It was amusing that a cyborg was itching for a sparring session. Dav looked around thinking about what he could show. He backed up a little and stretched his arm out while his palm pointed to Adrien before forming a glowing purple energy in front of his palm before shifting it into a glowing battle axe, holding it obviously making this energy solid. I have the ability to make psychic constructs. Basically, using mental or psychic energy to shape it into tools, weapons, structures, objects and whatever I can create to be useful in a certain situation. He explained.

I believe my constructs are strong enough for battle. I can harden it to be as tough as stone...maybe even steel. My weapons can compete with other weapons in melee combat so...I think it can take a beating...and speed...I'm not superhuman so...I'm maybe under olympic level? But maybe a construct to help me go faster. But if you want to spar...I'm down with that. Just don't go evil robot on me if things gets intense. He told him.

I take it that you're faster and stronger than an average human. And a blaster...robots mostly have blasters and laser beams...I'm assuming you have that too? Basically asking about his capabilities. Dav noticed some of the people he met last night and wondered what kind of partners they ended up with. So far Dav was pretty content with who he's been paired with.

She half listened to the girl Aira list her abilities, there was a long list of them. But it was when the girl caught on fire that had Morrigan have a natural reaction. She let out a small hiss as the heat brush against her skin, forcing her to take a couple steps back. Her eyes narrowed into slits as steam rose form her body and sweat needed her brows. The Ice Queen collected herself quickly and dropped her skin temperature even lower.

"Of course you can use fire, you were the girl with the floating orb last night." She said off handedly. "Well if we are to spar, I can see I will have a tough time against you, my powers are weak against your flame."

Morrigan drew the water from the Earth and created an ice copy of herself. The ice golem was almost an exact match for the cryomancer, but was still a little off in some places. The ice began moving in a blocky, jerking manner almost as if it was a puppet with a novice pulling the strings.

"I am better with inanimate constructs like weapons or building structures. But I am getting closer with the moving ones everyday, if you can't tell, ice is my bitch." A half smile appeared on her face as she locked eyes with the witch. If it came to a fight, she would be at a disadvantage, but Aira didn't specialize in only fire, she was an all arounder, so Morrigan had the advantage there.

Yeojung "Yunnie" Bae

Watching her new partner explain himself, Yunnie nods along attentively, curious eyes looking him up and down (but not in a creepy way; honestly, she's just interested in his fashion sense.) So far, this interaction is going good; she's yet to embarrass herself, the guy isn't intimidating, and they both seem equally nervous. It's introvert meets introvert, or something like that--a little awkward, but she isn't complaining, since she doesn't have to fight him. This conversation might have a hard time staying alive, though... Yunnie usually peters out after the first few minutes, running out of confidence and things to say when presented with somebody who couldn't care less about fashion and mysteries. She gets it; everyone has a type of person, but why does it have to be so hard to find hers?

In fact, what are they going to do? She's not particularly athletic, and Aaron--Ronnie, they're even nickname buddies!--seems just about ready to drop dead. Not literally, of course, but Yunnie can tell he's barely hanging on. Those eyes of his are certainly drooping, and he doesn't seem all the way "there"--just a little bit too tired to function, or way too exhausted. Whatever sort of night it was for him, it must've not been fun. Not that Yunnie is one to talk; she's the one sneaking out and spying on Academy officials, after all. But she slept pretty okay--slept like a rock, actually. No dreams or anything. Maybe her sleep schedule is finally getting back on track, after all those sleepless nights at a new dormitory?

Another thing--he's jumpy, too. (Like her.)

At any rate... Yunnie's mind drifts a bit, back to last night's rendezvous before snapping back to reality. She can't stop thinking about it; she's too curious for her own good; too curious, and too preoccupied with daydreams and mysteries. It's probably due to her restrictive childhood; Yunnie considers herself pretty lucky in most aspects, but her mother was kind of a control freak sometimes. (All the time.) What are rules, if all they do is make you dream?

"I'm not a fighter either. I'm a somnokinetic dreamwalker. I just make people go to sleep and change their dreams."

"O-oh!" Yunnie, snap out of it! she scolds herself, pulling on her pigtails and discreetly pinching herself (her cheek, which is apparently very pinchable. Thanks, grandma.) This is no time to worry about her past; to ignore somebody is just outright rude. And if there's anything Yunnie learned from her manners-obsessed mother, it was not to be rude. So she won't! "That's really cool--your power, I mean! I-I've never heard of something like that before, is it fun?" Wait! What if that's why Aar--Ronnie--looks so tired? Maybe he gets really sleepy when he does it, or something? Omigosh, that was such a weird thing to say, wasn't it!? Hastily, Yunnie tries to mend the "awkward" situation. "S-sorry! That was kind of a weird thing to ask, wasn't it? In fact, you don't need to show me--" She laughs, nervous and unable to stop herself from getting embarrassed. Her cheeks feel a little warm; curse her horrible habit of rambling! Stop it now, Yunnie, before it gets any worse!

"Ahem. Sorry. Like I said, you don't need... to show me, if, um, you're too tired? Not to offend, but if it's a power like mine, it probably takes a lot of energy, and you look pretty beat already." But then again... what was this whole exercise about? Sparring? Showing each other their powers? Yunnie doesn't know; she just wants to curl up in bed and read the next chapter of her favorite mystery novel and eat sugary snacks until she feels better. Making friends is too tiring. (She wants to go home... wait, no she doesn't.)

Rainna Rivera

Rainna was caught slightly off guard at Adam's statement regarding her being homeless in the past. Was he some sort of mind reader? Even she had nearly forgotten about that time herself. It had been some years ago, and thinking back on it, it almost seemed like it had only been a dream. The possibility that the boy had meant for his display of power to double up as an insult crossed her mind, but it did not look as though it was the case. Still, it did make things rather awkward. She supposed that he did not speak to anyone often, though, she might be wrong.

"A new one? I wonder what you usually get," she playfully replied, before leaning in closer to him and giving him a nod in response to his... observation? "Hmm, you're good. Pleased to make your acquaintance too."

She then heard some shifting on the ground, and looked down to see some fallen leaves being swept up into the air by an invisible force. It was clear that Adam was the one behind the show from what he said next. So, he was a telekinetic as well. Could he be the whole psychic package? It would be pretty awesome if that were the case. She was about to ask if there was anything else he could do, when she saw the stones being drawn to his hand. She processed the grin that had formed on his face, wondering if it was a sign that he was preparing to spar with her.

Rainna stayed where she was, part of her attention on the little rocks in his hand in case he might decide to chuck them at her at any point in time. It occurred to her that she had never tested the corroding ability of her mist on stones. She could probably etch some lovely patterns on such surfaces, if only she could find a way to better control the direction and flow rate of her fog. How about nozzles made out of something that she could not corrode? That could be an idea.

"A little too late for those now. The party was last night," she pointed out with a laugh. "I assume you're an empath and a telekinetic. Anything else you've got?"

The fire witch gleefully watched the flames lightly dance around the palm of her bare hands as they continued to flare brightly. She’d have had expected a somewhat similar reaction from her partner, approving for her abilities, but heavens she was wrong.

Instead, as Aira glanced back up at Morrigan, she watched her as she hastily drew back, her stance looking more aggressive and alert. Drips of sweat easily started to become visible on her face as it ran down the tips of her skin.
Aira could distinguish tints of rage flickering in her eyes as they had finally come to meet with hers. And in the next moment, a stronger rush of an even colder air blew around them once again. The recurring sudden drop of temperature felt like a hard shove at Aira, and with a little string of caution and fear welling up inside of her, this caused the fire that burned on her hands to shrivel down and disappear.

Aira looked down at her empty palms with utter shock and panic, remembering how the fires she’d produce would have a distinct connection with how she felt. And right now, she’d definitely felt a negative kind of confusion as she looked back up at her partner once again, eyes still looking as if she was ready to pounce on her. The fire girl then wasted no time to wrap her arms around her, hoping to gain sufficient warmth again. “Where the hell is this all coming from?! …Is this all coming from-“

"Of course, you can use fire. You were the girl with the floating orb last night." Morrigan remarked at her in a rather sharp tone.
Aira’s eyes then widened at her as she took in the words she just said. “Last… night?”

"Well if we are to spar, I can see I will have a tough time against you, my powers are weak against your flame."
Before Aira could pester any further, she watched as water suddenly started to rise up straight from the soils of the ground. Aira drew back as the water clump together only to be frozen the next moment. Once Aira got a scoop of the bigger picture, she saw that the frozen water formed together had created an ice sculpture that… looked exactly like Morrigan. It stood still for a few seconds, but then started motioning around in a very stiffly manner.
"I am better with inanimate constructs like weapons or building structures. But I am getting closer with the moving ones every day, if you can't tell, ice is my bitch." Her partner remarked at her with a sly grin making its way across one side of her lips.

In a state of shock, Aira then completely froze. If she assembled her thoughts just right for a few moments, she knew she didn’t hear Morrigan wrong earlier;
She was there. She witnessed what had happened last night.
And the cold temperature and that icy hallway she went through after that night? It was all coming together. She was the suspected Jack Frost.

Aira could only stare back at Morrigan in complete silence. The situation still trying to sink in on her and thoughts only flooding her head to the brim. Her guts were right; who knows how many more witnesses there could be. But it’s all too alarming. Aira feared that Morrigan might do something that may possibly put them in trouble unless she attempts to speak out to her. She may look like the kind of person after all.

Aira looked around her as her eyes fell on the clear sights of Dav and Rainna with their partners. Should she go tell them first?
Her attention turned back to the sounds of clashing solid ice coming from Morrigan’s dancing doppelganger that only started to sound louder and more aggressive. If she were to consult the others, it may only waste precious time. She had to do the best remaining approach.

“Morrigan, Listen.” Aira called out at her as she started to slowly pace towards her partner. The closer she tried to get to her, the colder the air around them felt, so she was forced to stop and stay a few paces away from Morrigan. Even so, Aira was practically shivering, and every hot breath she exhales can be seen turning into very faint fogs, and Morrigan’s ice puppet surely was of no good help with its thick ice skin flailing around along with its broken movements. Aira may know better than to try and get close to it. And she though that chanting out another fire spell may only be best used when really needed. Right now, if she could get through Morrigan without any means of using her abilities, the more peaceful the world can be and possibly the less damage done to an environment such as a wide forest they’re in.

“Morrigan! We n-need to t-talk!” Aira called out at her once again through her shivering stance in hopes that she’d somewhat stop the cold air and calm her ice puppet down.

Morrigan's smile grew wider as she saw Aira start to shiver as the air around them got increasingly colder. Ice began encasing Morrigan like a second skin, giving the girl a translucent shine. As the witch took steps closer to Morrigan she tried saying something, but the ice woman couldn't hear her. Nor at the moment did she want to.

Heat was the bane of her existence, her mind flashed back to after it was discovered what she could do. Her best friend, whom she saved, parents came to her house with half the neighborhood. Many of them carrying torches and gasoline containers. They wanted to burn her families home to the ground with Morrigan in it. They said the friend she saved had frost bite on her fingers and toes, that it didn't matter that Morrigan had saved her life. morrigan snapped back to the present, mere seconds passing by.

"I will not feel heat again, there is nothing you can say to stop this!" With her eyes locked on Aria, her look a like golem charged at the other girl.

@King Tai
"Well, I mean, I wouldn't say I'm that special either..." Adrien said. "I mean, I technically go my powers after I was threatened too. Only difference is that, well, I got 'em a couple of years after that, and it was, I'm assuming, a little more successful. Still, I guess it doesn't really take all that much to make a person special, so if I get to be considered special, I'd say you fit the bill too."

He nodded when Davarius explained his powers.

"Oh, so kinda like Green Lantern or something?" He asked, doing his best to lightly return the boys fistbump at the same time. "That's pretty cool. Gives you the versatility to do all kinds of neat tricks..."

He trailed off for a moment, as if lost in thought, before returning to the conversation at the question about blasters.

"Nah, haven't gotten around to working out proper blasters yet. You'll probably get those down before me, although if I got a blood sample, I might be able to figure out how to replicate it... That came off creepier than I meant for it to, so maybe just forget that. Anyway, I do have a number of high-caliber guns built into most of my arms, but I left all of those ones back in my room. This is a mobility configuration. All grappling hooks and jets. Based on Spiderman and Attack on Titan and all that kinda stuff, you know?"

As he spoke, he held out a hand towards a nearby tree, launching one of said grappling hooks at a tree. The hook, which was really more of a spike at the moment, embedded itself into the wood, before a series of smaller spikes jutted out of the sides, helping it to remain lodged in the wood.

"So, I'll be honest, I've already run the simulations on how this configuration will work, so this'll probably be more like me helping you train your flying than a proper sparring match. Still, try to keep up if you can. I get the feeling this'll be pretty fun if it all works out."

Even as he said this, a number of small jets were emerging from all over his body, arms and legs.

"Oh, and watch out for my drones. They'll shoot you out of the sky if you don't pay attention."

And then half of the jets ignited, which along with the sudden retraction of the grappling hook was enough to send him rocketing into the trees.

Adam Hill

One of the rocks twitched in Adam's hand, much like it was trying to stand up and walk away, before being hoisted into the air by an unseen force, otherwise known as his telekinetic ability, and gently landed atop Rainna's head. Although the stones were clearly levitating away from his grasp and moving towards Rainna, it wasn't completely obvious as to where the stones were going, they being placed so gently, it was near impossible to detect.

The grin on his face said that he was doing something rather stupid, and to anyone else, that much was immediately obvious. The stones were flat enough to be stacked, and that's what Adam was doing. Stacking the stones atop Rainna's noggin. A small tower had been constructed upon her head, but the second her head moved, and it did, because humans rarely stood completely still for long, not without immense amounts of practice, the tower fell, was swept up in his invisible grasp before they could rattle her head, and then were tossed away, a few slapping the surface of a small tree, like rain drops.

"Actually," He began, acting as if he hadn't been doing something as childish and rather silly as stacking small stones on another persons head, "Although you did guess right about the telekinetic part, I'm sadly no empath, I prefer to call it, enhanced perception. I pick up on things, even tiny little details that most people wouldn't even notice. It's not as amazing as something like telepathy, but it certainly has it's uses. For instance, everyone has a certain stance that often reflects their financial position, the rich have a bit more pride in their step, the poor often have less. Even though you seem well off now, there's hints remaining in how you carry yourself, which is pretty much the only reason I was able to tell."

Scratching the back of his head nervously, Adam chuckled low in his throat. "Hehe...my bad, really should learn to sum things up in shorter sentences, I had a tendency to ramble a lot as a kid and I never did quite learn to c- I'm doing it again aren't I?"

Closing his mouth like an angry teenager after a big fight with their family would slam a door shut, Adam stopped speaking, trying to prevent the flow of the explanations he wanted to give from pouring out of his gob. He really needed a more efficient way to keep himself from speaking, and limited interaction had been a way to do it, he'd had an excuse before, but now, he needed a way to curb all the information. He'd figure it out at some point.

"Anyways, unless you count being able to talk the ears off anything within a short radius depending on how loud I'm speaking, none others that I'm aware of."

Rainna Rivera

Rainna continued watching the stones as they left Adam's hand, preparing to dodge out of the way should they be aimed right at her. However, he instead channeled them over her and they seemed to disappear, before she felt the pressure of the bottom rock and heard the shifting of the stack over her head. She instinctively turned her head in an attempt to glance up, with Adam responding by removing the stones and flinging them aside towards one of the nearby trees. It appeared that he was not interested in a spar, preferring to practice his skills in a more playful way. From what he had just done, it seemed that there was at least a little bit of a child under that stoic demeanor.

His rather lengthy elaboration on what he called his 'enhanced perception' which came next was no surprise to Rainna. Considering his first words to her, it was something to be expected. However, he made it clear that he was aware of how strange his manner of speech may come across as to others. A little of his nervousness was showing, and Rainna found herself chuckling a little every time he stopped himself or acknowledged his tendency to ramble. He did not look like the type who would care at first, but now, it really looked like he was concerned about 'fitting in'. She almost found it rather adorable.

"Hey, if it takes that much of an effort, then don't worry about it. Besides, listening to you speak is quite... refreshing," she assured him, before leaning in closer. "That's interesting, I guess you'd have figured out that Outterridge was hiding something even if you hadn't seen what happened last night."

She then turned to the tree he had directed the rocks at, bringing them back to the training. "Bet you I can cut this right down with my mist, though, that'll probably be dangerous, so I shouldn't. Hmm, want to practice levitating objects I can dissolve so I can practice my aim?"

Yunnie was successfully put to sleep at the start of Ronnie's demonstration, expecting to meet with the dreamwalker in her subconsciousness. However, she did not see him throughout the entire period of her slumber. Instead, she was met with flashes of a run-down laboratory or experimental facility, menacing shadows, and the terrifying jaws of an unknown creature. She would awake to find that her partner had vanished.

The training session had already begun when Mona arrived in Roxgeo Forest. The first person she saw would be the Asian girl from the night before, by herself and just having woken up from a state of unconsciousness.

Aira still stood shaking with her arms tightly grasping her own body, the emitted body warmth not at all sufficient to withstand Morrigan’s icy fiery that only continued to worsen. The louder she attempted to call out at her once again backfired miserably as the fire sorceress started to feel the cold prickling through the tips of her skin before she could even bare enough, and so had no choice but to scurry away from Morrigan a bit further away where her cold could be of lighter harm to her.

As Aira glanced back at the far distance to where Morrigan and her dancing ice puppet stood, she can eerily see the girl’s form becoming shinier and more glacious as if she's covering her skin in more thick ice. What on earth is she doing?! Aira definitely wasn’t trying to hurt her or anybody, but that ice princess sure seems like she was asking for it.

The fire sorceress definitely felt a rush of alert shooting out red flags everywhere in her veins as she continued to lock eyes with Morrigan. The ice princess surely didn’t look pleased, as her sharp gaze at Aira only felt like arrows shooting right at her direction in furious speed. All the poor girl could do was stay at her distance, wondering what she had done wrong.

"I will not feel heat again,”
At long last, Morrigan spoke up. But what exactly she was trying to mean still remains a mystery to Aira. However, with little tints of thoughts, perhaps now Aira gets why Morrigan sees her as an annoying mosquito; her fire, of course.
“There is nothing you can say to stop this!" Morrigan screamed out her last sentence before Aira could even process what was happening next.
Morrigan’s ice puppet halted into a sudden pause and turned its direction right at Aira before making a powerful charge at her.

“W- Wait! Wha- What?!” Aira exclaimed with her hands frantically waving in front of her. Has sparring class already commenced?!
Morrigan’s puppet was fast, and every inch it got closer to Aira only made her chest beat faster.

“Ha-!” Aira quickly dodged the ice puppet by jumping to the far side before its ice boulder skin could ram her, landing stomach first onto the dirty grounds of Roxgeo forest. Despite her state, Aira wasted no time to quickly glance back at the ice puppet to still see it charging after her. “M-Morrigan! Wait!” Aira called out at it, but it only struck her on how neither any of them could hear her voice, no matter how loud she’d call out.

Once she saw the moving ice sculpture getting closer at her, Aira quickly pushed herself off the ground until her wobbling legs supports her to a stand, only for her to scurry away and jump again to another far side and fall back down to the ground in order to avoid the moving ice sculpture.

“Argh…” Aira groaned in slight pain, not to mention how rocky some parts of the soily ground could be. Using a smaller portion of her inner strength, Aira heaved up her upper body to come face Morrigan who still kept her stinging eye on Aira with her sly grin not etching away from her face for not even a bit.
She was enjoying it, every single bit of it. Seeing that face on Morrigan only made Aira’s blood start to boil. First, the fire girl was still quite clueless of what was happening, second this little fiasco sprouted out of the sudden blues for Aira. The sorceress’ facial expression narrowed as she heaved her whole body from the ground into a stand, not tearing her gaze away from her partner. At this point, the longer she would stare at Morrigan’s smug face, the more furious she’d become to the point the tips of her hair can be seen producing fire. Their distance between each other has become much nearer, but this time, Aira’s fire refused to lose to the cold.

Just behind her, Aira could feel the steady rumbling of the ground that was coming from the pace of Morrigan’s ice puppet. The rumbling only got heavier the moment she can feel it getting closer to her.
“Alright, Queen Elsa.” Aira quietly voiced with gritted teeth, the ends of her hair emitting flames. “You wanna play chase?”

In just a matter of a few more steps, Morrigan’s ice golem would’ve ended her straight up, but with a quick chant of her telekinesis ability, Aira made a sharp turn behind her and with a quick point of the open palm of her hand, the ice golem halted its pace and froze in place. The witch figured to used her telekinesis power because fire, in such an environment, would obviously be of harmful cases.
This point alone, Aira could feel the struggle – for a puppet, the ice golem sure had notable strength. But with sheer effort, the witch lifted the stone figure off of the ground, lifting it high up in the air. And using a bigger portion of her remaining strength and with a quick swift of her hand, Aira sent the ice golem flying and crashing onto a huge tree that stood in the forest, crushed pieces of ice parts falling down to the ground.

The moment Aira stopped her telekinesis power, she bent over, catching her knees and breath, along while trying to ease the pain that throbbed in her arm and shoulder. Fighting off that ice golem felt like lifting up an Olympic bar with only one hand with up to 10 kilograms of weight on each side.

But the conversation was still far from done. Morrigan’s smirk only continued to replay in Aira’s head. At this rate, the fire that flared on the tips of her hair only began to spread across her entire outline as she turned towards the cryomancer, her skin still thickly overlaid by ice. Slowly nearing her with pure caution, the chilling temperature was of no more bother to her the more her flames continued to shine.
“Don’t make me do this, Morrigan.” Aira warned at the cryomancer. The fire girl then allowed flames to emit from her right hand, displaying it clearly in front of Morrigan to heed warning, stopping just at a considerable distance away from her. “You just… really have to chill out, okay? I just really need to talk to you. Let's..uh..try not to destroy the forest any more... You can hear me, right?”

And with a few minutes of calming silence, Aira’s flaming hair cooled down to light flickers, but her flame-engulfed hand still shining brightly, stance tainted with sheer alert at whatever danger can happen next.

Morrigan watched with a twisted satisfaction as her ice clone attacked the woman. She was confident enough that she would win this match without having to actively partake in the fight. The girl named Aira was barely dodging her golemn while shouting at Morrigan, though through her loudly pumping pulse everything was like a snowstorm to her, deathly quiet. Her smile only grew as the golemn closed in on the girl, after she barely jumped out of the way the two girls had a staredown, Morrigan's smirk openly challenging the the witch.

Aira mumbled something and began running again, surely Morrigan's golemn would catch the girl this time. To Morrigan's annoyance, Aira made a sharp than humanly possible turn and slapped her hand to the golemn. Morrigan's eyes became slits as she watched the human candle lift her sculpture and smash it to bits against a tree. Than she turned and flung her golemn into a tree smashing it to pieces. Than she conjured a large fireball and begged Morrigan to halt her attack.

In her mind she was eleven again, a large group of people demanding her to be given to them, so they could "protect" the other children. Than she was at the park, a week after the mob came to her house. A man attacked her saying he was doing God's work, and that witches must burn, she still could feel the flames as they licked her skin, eating her shirt, and dancing up her body. Her mother put out the fire before she was consumed, by she still carried the scar of the memory on her stomach.

Covered in ice, Morrigan began walking towards Aira, her arm freezing into a blade. She wasn't go to kill the other girl, but they were enemies. Her ice vs Airas fire. But before she could even get close to a striking distance, the heat from the other girls flames washed over her ice armor. She felt it melting faster than she could form it, and with the flames evaporating the excess moisture in the surrounding area, Morrigan had a hard time making more ice. Quickly her shimmering protection melted away and the full force of the heat punched her in the gut. Her scar flared with a warning like quality and pain sang through her body. Morrigan dropped to a knee, hand flicking to her old wound.

"I will put out those flames Aira. I won't be stopped!" She said through gritted teeth as she stood on shaking legs. She couldn't use her powers, but the flames still had to go.
