Hello everyone, after roughly six months of down time, I have returned to the site to once more share my stories with all of you. While away, I went through all of the Halo games, and quite a few of the books. I have been inspired to try my hand at a Halo RP once more, but this time around I wish to ask for the communities opinion on a couple of topics before I begin the intensive work that goes into creating a worthwhile story.
(Major Spoilers for Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 below.)
So, let's start by talking about the ending in Halo 5.
Cortana takes Blue Team and locks them up, keeping them safe from the Guardians and everything else she is going to unleash upon the galaxy, wanting to remake it in her own image. As you can see below, things do not go exactly the way she planned. Then, it all goes to hell, very quickly.

Now, let's talk about Halo Wars 2.
What you see here at the end of the cinematic is Installation 09, and one of Cortanas Guardians.
No one currently knows where Cortana is, she technically doesn't have a "body" so she could be anywhere at the moment.
Atriox, the leader of the Banished, is currently upon the Ark with a large chunk of his forces. The lore says that parts of his forces are also scattered around the Milky-Way.
So here is the idea I have in mind for the RP.
We are part of the UNSC forces who have been stationed upon the new heavily modified Phoenix-class support vessel, which I will refer to as Orion in this post. The Orion will be like the Infinity in many ways, but also unique in many of its own. For the beginning of the RP, I will have us running "soft" missions for ONI and the UNSC. Though after a very short while, the events at the end of Halo 5 will take place, causing us to flee like the Infinity. In the middle of doing random slip-space jumps, we will pick up a strange SOS from one of the Solar Systems in the distant reaches of the Milky-Way. After much debate, it is decided that we investigate the strange SOS. Once we arrive at the solar system, we will pinpoint the exact location from where the SOS is being transmitted from, and head to said planet. A team of ODST and Spartans, who we will be playing, will board a Pelican and take it down to the planets surface. At first, movement around the planet will be mostly done by using a modified version of the XRP12 Combat Support Vehicle (aka Gremlin) that has anti-personnel and anti-tank weaponry in place of the EMP weaponry.
I do not want to give out many details but what I will say is that we will be facing familiar enemies that may or may not have been present in the last two games. Our story will take us from planet to planet of the Solar System, we will see all types of environments, face off against those familiar enemies and perhaps even new ones. I am also planning for some down time so that our characters can build social relationships and get to know one another. After some talk with my Co-GM, I have decided that the players of the RP have two choices of what they can RP as, an ODST or a Spartan. I will be personally playing a Spartan and leading the team through the RP, as well as controlling all the other NPCS.
How does this sound to those Halo fans out there so far? I have really wanted to make a Halo RP based off the current lore for quite a long time now and am confident that I can carry this out, turn it into something epic, long lasting, and enjoyable for those who join. As a side note, my Co-Gm @Nallore is a lore master in all things Halo and will be helping me correct any lore mistakes or anything else to help everything run smoothly. My friend at 343 will also be helping with all aspects of the story.
