Is this still open? I read everything and I wanted to join.
OK, I finished them. Here they are.
“I don’t know what the future holds for us. Right now, we need to live in the present and survive. Together.”
Theme Song:
Name: Agni Blackheart
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Race: Human? / Possibly Angel (Has powers, but wasn’t identified as a different race)
Faction: Unnaffiliated, for the moment.
Personality: Agni is a rather serious individual who prioritizes survival over victory. He tends to be really methodic, planning things before jumping into execution. He’s very amicable and easy to talk with, but he doesn’t like dragging into unnecessary conversations for too long. He doesn’t mind jumping into topics that aren’t related to the whole situation which he and many others are living in, but is very direct to the point. This and in many situations. He has an extreme care about others and makes sure that all those who walk with him survive, not leaving anyone behind… unless the situation gets completely desperate and he needs to do it.
Agni is also very intelligent. He’s a cunning strategist and always seem to have historical and situational references at the tip of his tongue. He’s also very calm and rarely loses his cool, no matter the situation.
Bio: Agni was adopted by the Blackheart family ever since he was a newborn. According to his mother, Rosangela Blackheart, a meteor-like figure fell from the sky near his home and she pursued it. Upon reaching it, she saw a small baby crying in the middle of the crater and took him in as her son. As impossible as this sounds, since a human baby can never survive the flames from the descent, she speaks this is a possible explanation to why Agni is completely different from a normal human. Another theory that she created, and one that can be more probable, is that her son is actually an angel from Heaven, but he never had an angelic disposition to his corporeal formation whatsoever.
Agni lived a normal life under the watch of his mother and his father, Sidney Whitesoul, until the age of 10, when he started to be instructed on fighting arts. Rosangela decided to teach him the martial arts style she learned as an Umbra Witch, when his first manifestations of magic and Mana began to appear when he released a light sphere towards a training dummy back at the Blackheart Manor. Curious about how that happened, she kept training him everyday, as it could be a way for him to defend himself against supernatural occasions.
When he turned 16, she lent him a pair of handguns and began to improve his training with gunslinging. She noticed how Agni was far more agile than she was at his age and how his powers were growing as well, to the point that he managed to create an illusion of himself to attack another training dummy in unison. Knowing how his power would eventually grow, Agni began to study all sorts of paranormal information he had been missing for 6 years. In the meanwhile, both his parents began to search the origin of their child and how he could look like a human, have specific light powers and not be angel.
The answer remained a mystery. At the age of 20, Rosangela gave Agni his own guns, called the Achromatic Executioner and Sidney gave him a pair of tactical knives, the Azure Revenger. Sidney also trained Agni in assassination fighting arts, since he knew the properties of the guns and wanted his son to have a backup style whenever necessary. Both of them left to the Underworld in order to search for a way to finding Agni’s origin of existence.
As the middle brother, Agni joined the now extinct Aquapolis City Supernatural Protection Agency (A.C.S.P.A.) in order to defend the town against the demonic, angelic or non-human sort of attacks. In two years, Agni climbed upon the ranks and became Lieutenant Colonel of the forces, known also as the “Silver Sharpshooter”. That’s when the war broke out. On a mission to rescue people, he got an emergency call from the main base, who requested immediate help from a demonic attack to all dispatched units. Now, he runs to discover what has happened...
Combat
Powers and Abilities:
- Mana Manipulation [Lvl. 1]: different from a normal human, Agni has mana flowing through his blood. As such, he has knowledge in magic and spells. However, his mana is mostly used in the attacks with the Achromatic Executioner, so he isn’t technically a magician. While being a considerably large pool, Agni’s consumption of Mana is rather expensive so it dries out considerably fast as well.
- Illusion Manipulation [Lvl. 1]: Agni can generate illusions of himself to confuse and attack his opponent. However, since he doesn’t have the correct amount of experience, he’s currently limited to one illusion, it doesn’t last long and it can’t be generated from afar.
- Battle Awareness: Agni’s style of fighting requires him to be prepared for every sort of situation. As such, he’s able to maintain a calm mind whenever the battle suddenly becomes a cluster of madness.
Style:
- Blackheart-Umbra Gun Kata [Lvl. 1]: a fighting style based on the Umbran Witch style, created by his mother Rosangela Blackheart, who once belonged to the Umbra Witches before marrying their father Sidney. It functions similarly to the Umbra, except that he cannot summon demonic beasts. Thus, it focuses more on the balance between the movements of the wielder and the agility to overcome foes through speed rather than strength. Agni eventually learned how to fight similarly to her. He grew agile with guns and learned martial arts from her as well. In the PoV from his mother, Agni grew far more agile and has better usage to the style than her, thanks to his powers aiding him.
- Assassination [Lvl. 1]: while his father isn’t an assassin, he teached Agni the assassination style for fighting with his daggers and in case he can’t make usage of the gun kata style. This style has far more usage of the knives and of Agni’s agility than the previous.
Equipment:
- Achromatic Executioner [Lvl. 1]: a pair of guns made exclusively to Agni Blackheart. Unlike normal guns, the bullets from this gun are generated through the mana of the user. While different from lead, the mana bullets are able to inflict physical pain and even spiritual pain, in some cases. However, they do need to recharge, so the user must stop using them and fight only with their movements. They are attachable to feet.
Bullet capability: 5 mana bullets for each gun (unupgradable);
Recharge time: 7-10 minutes (Upgradable);
- Azure Revenger [Lvl. 1]: a pair of blue tactical knives made exclusively to Agni Blackheart. These are normal tactical knives that doesn’t possess any sort of magic infusion on them, which makes them function as a sort of secondary (when the Achromatic Executioner is charging) or assisting (if the Achromatic Executioner are attached to the feet) weapon to Agni.
Techniques:
Blackheart-Umbra Gun Kata
Flash Shot [Special Lvl. 1]: shoots a bullet that travels at a higher speed. Can shoot three bullets in succession. Bullet cost: 3-5.
Chamber Blast [Special Lvl. 1]: attacks with Mana blasts from the guns with 3 hits in succession. Bullet cost: 6.
Bombard Caliber [Special Lvl. 1]: shoots a charged bullet that explodes once contact is made. Bullet cost: 2.
Cross Caliber [Super Lvl. 1]: creates an illusion and charges at the enemy. One of the Agni duo slides under the foe while the other takes impulse with a kick and jumps back. Once in position, both use Bombard Caliber at the foe. Bullet cost: 4.
Assassination
Rushing Slash [Special Lvl. 1]: attacks with a running slash once. Can finish the move with a sweep or with a rising slash.
Fatal Flake [Special Lvl. 1]: sommersaults and slashes the enemy while upside down in mid-air.
X-Divide [Super Lvl. 1]: creates an illusion and lends one of the daggers. One of the Agni rushes and attacks with a running slash while the other waits. Once in position, both attack with Rushing Slash. The illusion Agni gives the dagger back to the real one and disappears as the remaining finishes the enemy with a X-shaped slash dive.
“You mess with me and I’ll send you to the nursery for a month. You mess with my Big Bro or with my Bigger Bro and I’ll send you to the afterlife, with extra interest.”
Theme Song:
Name: Claire Blackheart
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Race: Half-Human Half-Demon
Faction: Unnaffiliated, for the moment.
Personality: Claire has two faces of a personality. The first one, most used in conversations with others and especially with her brothers, shows a rather innocent-looking girl who somewhat fits the role of “youngest sister”. Claire speaks in a light and cute tone, is very amicable but has a little of sarcasm. Not to mention, she can be a bit forceful and impulsive, which leads her group to serious situations. The second face, most apparent in battle, shows a ruthless killer that delights when her opponent is in pain or at its final moments. Claire gets extremely aggressive and doesn’t have a single control of herself while fighting. She mocks her opponent, laughs maniacally at random moments and tends to twist her face in excitement, as if someone’s watching a flickering image at at TV.
Due to her past, Claire developed a great hatred towards the Umbra. Whenever she encounters an Umbra Witch, she treats them with the most despise she has and, if they are allied, is the last person to ever help them. However, regardless of the situation, Claire is very obedient to her brothers and cares a lot for them. She always listen to their orders and tries her best to not disappoint them.
Bio: Claire is the only biological child of the three Blackhearts. By the time she was born, her mother Rosangela left the Umbra Witches and was already married to her father, Sidney Whitesoul, a Grim Reaper of the Underworld. Her parents, while knowing that was somewhat impossible, wanted a child whose blood wouldn’t be corrupted either by her Umbran descendance or his demonic influence. However, she was born as a half-human, half-demon whose Umbran powers were also evident when she was a newborn.
Since it was inevitable that Claire was going to be a witch at some point, Rosangela took her to the Umbran Witches at the age of 6 so she could initiate at a young age and have a better control of her powers the moment she got older enough. Once accepted at the branch, her training began under a serious regimen, with Claire overcoming it everyday. It was noticed however that she seemed to like martial arts, but had no usage of a gun. No matter what gun you gave her, Claire was unable to make any usage of it. As as result, they switched her to gauntlets and saw the prowess she developed through it.
A concerning problem rose into the training, though: not only she couldn’t use guns but she couldn’t summon any sort of demons to aid her. Not through the usual way, at least. Claire tried her very best at every test, but she couldn’t summon one, even the weakest ones. In a conversation between Claire’s instructor and her mother, the latter suggested another sort of reception for her to summon demons. Taking the idea, the Umbran Witches enchanted a mirror and made it Claire’s way for her to summon the demons, which it actually worked.
One day, other witches discovered that demon blood runs through her veins. It also explained why she had an unnatural strength in comparison to the other trainees. While the instructor was completely against it, they decided to experiment Claire and see how powerful she could get. However, the experiment went wrong and the girl ran berserk, destroying everything in her sight. The branch was left in ruins and all the other trainees were killed. Claire snapped out of it once her fist was already through her instructor’s body. Inside her mind, a hatred towards the Umbra was developed and she was expelled from them due to the incident.
As time passed on, her mother continued her training and she learned boxing for herself, which actually became a style she came to adore. Instead of being sent to school, Claire was taught at home. When she completed 15, her mother and her father left to the Underworld, for reasons which she never got to understand. Still, she kept her training and studies in check for the past two years. When the war broke out, she was immediately tossed in a fight, alongside the eldest son Ignitio, against angels and demons who invaded the manor in order to war against each other. Right now, she’s at the fifth wave, already at her limits....
[Combat]
Powers and Abilities:
- Demon Strength [Lvl. 2]: Claire has no access to a demon form, but her strength is very similar to one. Her physical hits are stronger than a normal human’s, in and outside of battle. While in one situation that is helpful, it isn’t on another, as she has to be very cautious in whatever she needs to do.
- Demon Manipulation [Lvl. 1]: Claire can summon demons like an Umbra Witch through her mirror. She still needs to say a certain spell to summon them and she can only summon weaker demons at best.
- Torture [Lvl. 1]: Claire can summon torture objects in order to attack her enemies as well. She cannot summon them all the time and she doesn’t have too many objects to use.
- Berserk State: if Claire is driven to an emotional state through any sort of event, she will awaken her Berserk state, as a replacement for a possible Devil Trigger. While this state is active, she will lose all control and mental stability, while receiving a boost on her attack strength and speed and a huge drop in her defensive capabilities. As such, Claire becomes a glass cannon. The only way she can snap out of it for the moment is if her brothers’ voices reach her ears, whether is Agni or Ignitio.
Style:
- Semi-professional Boxing [Lvl. 1]: Claire’s favorite style of fighting and the one she uses the most out of it. While she knows some of the movements and grapples, she has a thug-like way of attacking so some of the moves are nowhere near to be completely professional and sticking to the usual rules.
- Umbran Martial Arts [Lvl. 1]: as a direct descendant of an ex-Umbra Witch, Claire learned the Umbran Martial Arts from her mother and from the time she spent at instruction. However, due to the deep hatred she has towards the Umbra, she rarely uses it at all. Still, some of the movements are mixed in.
Equipment:
- Pain Wrecker [Lvl. 1]: an exclusive weapon to Claire Blackheart. These gauntlets once belonged to the Umbra but Claire kept them after the incident. They have some magic on them, but it is really few and she could never activate it well enough.
- Demon Mirror [Lvl. 1]: an exclusive equipment of Claire Blackheart. This mirror allows Claire to use all of her Summoning functions. It can be broken as a normal mirror, but it regenerates itself, though at a really slow rate..
Regeneration time: 15-20 minutes.
Techniques:
- Whack the Mole [Special Lvl. 1]: spins her arm twice and pummels the enemy down. At Berserk State, Claire punches her opponent at the stomach twice.
- Hey, Batter, Batter! [Special Lvl. 1]: rams at the enemy and kicks it away. At Berserk State, Claire grabs the closest heavy object at her and tosses it at the enemy.
- The Heavy Dunk [Special Lvl. 1]: runs at the enemy, grabs its face, jumps and tosses them at the ground. At Berserk State, Claire descends and stomps her enemy.
- Frisbee Super Shoot! [Super Lvl. 1]: grabs the closest enemy, spins them around for a while and shoots them away. At Berserk State, Claire rushes at the flying enemy and punches it in the face.
“Pray for salvation. All enemies are decommissioned for eternity once they are in my sight.”
Theme Song:
Name: Ignitio Blackheart
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown, appears to have 27 years.
Race: Demon
Faction: Unnaffiliated, for the moment.
Personality: Ignitio is very cold-hearted. He doesn’t care much about other living beings and has no faith in camaraderie, preferring solitude over relationships. He cares only about the task which has been given to him: to protect his younger siblings and ensure their survival at all costs, no matter what risks have to be taken. He’s also very sincere, so he tends to speak what he has on mind rather than not saying it for consideration of someone else. In battle, he is as ruthless and frigid as he is outside of it, with the addition of being completely emotionless. He stays quiet and doesn’t speak much and doesn’t waste seconds on killing those who oppose him.
That extremely cold personality does not happen with his family, as he is excessively caring for them. He puts himself at sacrifice at every point to see his siblings safe. That leads to him spoiling Claire a lot and to stand for Agni at all situations, even in the ones where he is wrong. While Claire herself doesn’t bother much around him, Ignitio and Agni enter in some discussions since their personalities conflict a lot.
Bio: Claire and Agni lived on, but Rosangela and Sidney had been planning for a long time in order to find two specific answers: Agni’s origins and a way to make Claire become a normal human. Their goal was to reach the Underworld and question the ancient demons since this was the only way for them, due to a lot of reasons. However, even though their steps were somehow ready to execute, they couldn’t leave their children alone. Thus, Sidney formulated a plan to aid them.
With Rosangela’s Umbran powers, she summoned a demon outside of the usual contracts who was completely out of his own mind. He walked groggy and breathed heavily, seeking to kill someone. Once they were on his sight, he challenged them but eventually lost. With that, Rosangela sealed him as Sidney did the next step. He began to change the demon’s own memories and inserted fabricated ones. Eventually, his personality changed and he finally became calm, in contrast to his old settings.
They named him Ignitio and presented him as the eldest son of their family. Since his whole memory bank was “reprogrammed”, he didn’t question one single detail and neither remembered anything of his real past. Sidney instructed Ignitio about their mission, about how they had no idea if they were going to return and that he needed to keep Claire and Agni safe. He took all of that in mind and while he has shown his disapproval of the whole situation, he didn't question it. Not even once.
To ensure things wouidn’t be suspicious, the three enacted a lie to convince Agni and Claire that Ignitio wasn’t with them from the start because of an arduous training he went through at the Underworld. They easily took it and their familiar life began once again. Both the witch and the demon had to ensure the three of them would get along, since their quest would never be a short one and the possibilities of them returning were minimum to a complete 0%.
When the time came for their departure, only Ignitio and Agni were present at the time. They lied to Agni about the reason why they were leaving, as he kept quiet. They left for the Underworld and time went on. Then, the moment of war came. While Agni is on the streets, Ignitio stood back at home with Claire, currently thrown into a fight between angels and demons. The fifth wave had ended and Claire was completely exhausted. Ignitio had energy to keep fighting, but he was worried about his siblings more than about himself...
[Combat]
Powers and Abilities:
- Demon Physique [Lvl. 2]: As a demon, Ignitio’s natural abilities surpasses a human’s. He’s stronger, has faster reflexes, and is able to take mortal wounds with a lesser risk of dying.
- Flame Manipulation [Lvl. 1]: Ignitio can manipulate dark flames to attack his foes. These flames are mostly used on his bullets and slashes so he doesn’t have any flame-solo techniques yet.
- Devil Trigger: also referred to as Madness State. Once Ignitio activates it, his form changes. His “robe” becomes an “armor” and his face is fully covered with a mask. The flames become completely black instead of remaining purple. In this form, Ignitio can generate another gunblade, doubling the number of hits he can deal with an attack. The black flames are also more powerful, enhancing his damage output even further.
Style:
- Swordsmanship [Lvl. 1]: Ignitio knows how to wield a sword well. He mixes a little of fencing, eastern and western styles in his combat attacks, which makes him a mixed user. However, he isn’t specifically instructed into them, so all he knows for now is how to mix styles and not mastering a single one of them.
- Gunmanship [Lvl. 1]: he’s very skilled with guns, taking the position as a sniper. Ignitio can shoot at close quarters but his shooting is far more efficient from afar. He has to shoot one bullet at a time, so it takes a good amount for him to successively shoot..
Equipment:
- Flames of Creta [Lvl. 1]: an exclusive weapon to Ignitio Blackheart. A gunblade that takes the format of a sniper rifle. Ignitio’s ability to wield dark flames is manifested through the bullets he shoots from his weapon. In his Madness State, Ignitio summons a second one to attack his foes.
Techniques:
Swordsmanship
- Shred [Special Lvl. 1]: does an X-shaped slash at the enemy he’s currently facing it. Can use dark flames to enhance damage.
- Dissect [Special Lvl. 1]: slashes enemy once and then a multitude of 5 slashes hit it. Can use dark flames to enhance damage.
- Retaliate [Special Lvl. 1]: enters in counter stance. Once he is hit, attacks with a dashing slash. Can use dark flames to enhance damage.
- Perforate [Special Lvl. 1]: attacks the enemy with quick stabbing attacks. Can combo other moves except Retaliate.
- Execute [Super Lvl. 1]: slashes the enemy once. If it connects, deals four extra slashes and then stabs the enemy on a vital point.
Gunmanship
- Marking [Special Lvl. 1]: raises accuracy of the next shooting attack.
- Pierce [Special Lvl. 1]: shoots a single bullet that pierces through the enemy’s body and hits a vital point. If enhanced with dark flame, the bullet will burn the injury and cause extra damage.
- Demotivate [Special Lvl. 1]: shoots a bullet that stays plunged at the enemy. The bullet’s dark flames does no damage but diminish fighting motivation.
- Misdirect [Special Lvl. 1]: shoots two bullets around the enemy. They leave a flaming trail that damages the enemy who crosses it.
- Terminate [Super Lvl. 1]: shoots a powerful bullet that explodes into dark flames once contact is made.
