Name: Adrian Belle
Callsign: Jaws
Age: 21
Species: Human
Appearance: Adrian is short, but shares the same kind of thin and slender build as the rest of his family. He's clean-shaven, but with longer dark red hair tied into a loose ponytail. He has green eyes, mildly luminescent as a result of his implants and modifications. His arms are covered in light scars from scuffles and fights throughout his life, as well as a deeper one under his left eye.
Personality: At first, Adrian doesn't seem much different compared to his pre-Pilot days. He's still loud, exuberant, and always cracking jokes at the worst possible time. He puts on a facade of good cheer and good nature, trying to lift his fellow Pilots' spirits in dark times. But the light in his eyes is dimmer than it used to be, the spring in his step a little less pronounced. There's an emptiness behind his good nature now, a hollowness born of seeing too much, too fast. His cheerfulness isn't completely a lie, but it's closer to being a lie than it used to be.
Biography: Adrian was never satisfied with his life. Always living in the shadow of his more-respectable brother, always too far from the front to see some action, but also too far from the core to distract from the war and the fire that always seemed just outside his door. Nothing to do but sit in the rain and think of all the things going wrong in his life. So he did the only thing he could think of, even if it was, yet again, disappointing his family. He enlisted in the Red Line Coalition, eager to do his part to save the sector, and maybe earn some respect from his ungrateful neighbors and family. He wanted to be on the front lines, in the thick of things, where the fires were hottest and the hammer struck hardest.
Well, he got his wish.
Shortly after Adrian enlisted, he was scouted by the Pilot program as a candidate. At first, this seemed like a dream come true- not only was he going to be in the Shard War, he was going to be one of its legendary heroes! But as the months rolled on, and the surgeries and physical conditioning started to take its toll, and his mind threatened to fracture underneath the strain of the alien mind merging with his, he became quickly disillusioned with the entire process. This disillusionment continued into, and after, his first engagement. There was none of the glory he sought on the front lines- just a lot of good people dying; friends he'd made during training taking barely two steps onto the battlefield before being cut down. By some fluke or twist of fate, Adrian has survived past his first few engagements, an encouraging sign. Perhaps even a sign of great things to come, according to his superiors.
All Adrian can see anymore, however, is how much he wishes he'd stayed home.

Affinities: Adrian has confidence and initiative in spades, as required for someone of his particular role. He's also very good at identifying key targets in an engagement, picking apart the enemy from behind their lines and sowing chaos in their ranks.
Faults: Adrian is brash and impulsive, prone to act or lash out without thinking things through properly. As such, he can get himself into problematic situations if not kept firmly under control.
