Ratte lost sight of Kai, but for now she wasn’t worried about him. It looked like they had lost the people that were after them and nobody was looking to start a fire any time soon. She stretched and felt her back click. She was dying for a drink and something to eat - it was getting late.
Behind her she heard the clinking of a bottle and she turned to see a man holding onto a bottle. She considered asking him where he’d gotten it from as she settled, keeping one eye trained on him and the other looking out for Kai or Isago. It had been a long evening.
She felt a sense of relief when Kai reappeared from close by and she stood up, “He shouldn’t be too far behind... then we can get something to eat.”
