Hobgoblin Luz

@Jangel13

Luz then smiled at the elder. "Thank you elder for education me on evolution." She told him before hugging him again."I plan on evolving tonight cause i do not want to fall too far behind Gird. Tell me do you have a recommended form for me?" She asked him curiosity wanting his advice. "It okay if you do not know, I'll just try my luck at hunting something and hope for the best." She asked him honestly looking like she would truly forgive him for not knowing.

Ghoul Gird
To help an old soul >>>> going on another adventure /// Day 6 // Morning

Gird listened to the spirit speak of a deal and teaching him a few new things before making his decision. Bringing the skull along couldn't hurt right? “As you wish, you may travel with me but be aware I do have an ability that destroys the skulls I have on me for more power. I will try not to do it to you.” with that gird began to play with his Spider silk ability again. Crafting a small net for the skull to be kept in and attaching it to the front of his bone armor to look more intimidating. “Also perhaps you could maybe teach me some of these healing things you spoke of... and one more thing, what do I call you?” Gird asked.

He honestly expected to be going off on his own at some point and didn't think he would mind the constant company. Besides that, he might also be able to provide constant security of some kind. After this Gird stood and made another small net for the book intending to read it at a later date. For now, he knew there were still a few things he needed to find out for himself.

Heading toward the entrance he found that the other goblins strayed away from him, but he was able to find Luz next to the goblin elder. He was only able to pick up the last part of what they were talking about, something about Luz and wanting to evolve then about hunting again. “Hey Luz, couldn't help but over hear you. If you want to team up again I was thinking about heading up north toward those bats to see what kind of skills we can get from them if you’re up for it? I’m heading up that way now.” he said with a smile. Gird then began to walk out into the sunlight, he would wait for a moment to see what her answer was before heading off into the forest with or without her.

Goblin Gredy

Being alone felt somewhat natural to Gredy for reasons he didn't quite understand. His tribe had abandoned him, deciding to save their own hides when that pack of wolves had ambushed them and left him for dead without the slightest hesitation; It was only the speed of which he had been able to scale a nearby tree and thus get out of range of fang and claw that prevented him from having a painful, bloody end.

Unfortunately, by the time the wolves had left and he had felt safe enough to climb down again to make a run for it, Gredy had found himself lost. He couldn't remember the way back to the cave where his tribe had called home. So he did the only thing he could do under the circumstances; He wandered. He sort out shelter where he could, risked himself for merger amounts of food that offered only minor relief from the hunger pains...

Almost as thin as a bone, he spied what appeared to be a cave. The promise of shelter for the upcoming night appealed to him, but has he neared he heard... voices. Goblin voices! But... this wasn't the cave that his tribe lingered in. While it was with caution that he made his final approach, desperation and a need to have someone to talk to after so long drove him to cross the threshold of the cave and waiting for his eyes to adjust. "H-Hello?"

Hobgoblin Arch awakens, albeilt somewhat tired, as the child nudges him. After taking a few deep breaths he wakes up, first and foremost hungry. He sighs as he rubs his own belly as he observed the child, "I'm glad to see that you are looking better today." He amiled quite happily, "For now, I do need to get something to eat. And then go back to everyone. Maybe they are worried that I didn't go back tonight." He smiles slightly while shaking his head.

Seeing that she had done what she needed she concluded that she would travel west ready to leave behind her people to find hers and to fulfill her welling responsibility of gathering people and making her goddess stronger. She followed through her eyes eager and willing while gathering the berries and fruits in a makeshift bag made out of cloth and leaves designed to hold a small amount of her supplies like food and other small equipment as she readies herself bidding farewell to her home and her first love with a heavy heart not wanting to leave him yet she had no more will to stay. Grabbing her axe and readying her soul, she continues on her body and mind ready for the problems that would reside taking the first steps of her journey west and into the unknown.

Summary

  • She made a small pouch.
  • She made Nene followed her.
  • She started going west.

The goblin soon left the area taking note of his surroundings while the bear didnt notice him in particular it did look up as it sniffed the air for the poison he was carrying. Clearly its sense of smell was strong and would detect him if he wasnt careful. When the poison was out of its scent range it went back to drinking and gathering fish for its meal.

As the goblin left to hunt he soon saw a rabbit that was out of the area from its mate. It was gathering a few berries to grab for him and his mate. He was a large rabbit but that was because he was nice and fat from slumber. The area around him was filled with open space and as a result he had less of a chance to sneak up to the fat male unless he took the time to go around and stay in the bushes.

@demonspade64

Grandpa simply smiled at her as she hugged him and he hugged her back patting her back lightly as she thanked him. When she thought about what form she should take he sighed and thought for a moment putting his hand under his chin as he thought it through. He then said "Hard to say young one. You have been praising the goddess of death after all but you wouldnt look good a skeleton. Maybe you should try becoming a beast that thrives at night rather then a skeleton" he said with a shrug.

@Bright_Ops

Argos was ordering the remaining trolls in the cave to do some manual labor mainly in cleaing up the place. He planned to make this his cave even if he was to do so with no other help. He soon heard however the voice of another goblin. One that was scrawny and looked weak. He sighed softly before he got up from a piece of rock he had been using a chair to order the trolls. He put his hands on his hips and he looked over at him and said "well are you going to come in or not? obviously you were looking for help" he said simply deciding that if nothing else he would help him get back up to strength.

@ReusableSword

The skull simply grinned or rather he felt that the skull was trying to do so since it didn't have a mouth to make facial expressions anymore. "I will keep that in mind. If you do have to use me just make sure its for an emergancy, I cant help you if im not around after all. As for what you can call me... I think when I was alive my name was.... Ah! My name was gobta" The skull said glad to have a proper view again and when it was brought outside it sighed happily "been to long since ive seen sunlight! It said happily.

@Darked13

The child simply smirked a bit before it shook its back and a green apple covered in vines came from its tree. It landed in front of him he then explained "While you didn't do much you did keep the spirit busy while I recovered I can at least pay back the favor. This fruit if given to another bear will allow them to be your follower. I would reccomend finding a young one rather then an adult though. They will constantly look at you as a tastey snack if you tried. Offer it to a cub and they will see you as their father"

Hobgoblin arch gained: Unique item= fruit of the earth bear. When given to a cub will allow the cub to be a pet and follow the giver like a father.

@Wildman13

The little rabbit followed its master without question as the goblin went out on a joureny all on its own. It would take hours before they would see even a spark of civilization and when she did she would see far to the west away from her brothers and sisters a dirt road that looked like it was well used. Maybe by a caravan or simply a farmer tending the fields she knew that if she was to get anywhere she would need to be extra cautious...

Goblin Gredy

@Jangel13

For a moment, Gredy seemed... confused about where he was. A lot of it was because he was swapping from being in the light of the sun to the shadows of a cave, but the sight of the trolls confused him; He had never seen one before after all. However, the confusion was short lived as a goblin called out to him to gain his attention. Deciding to give him his full attention, Gredy somewhat nervously walked up to him before saying "H-Hi. Sorry to intrude like this..."

Hearing Gird voice Luz couldn't help but turn back and notice Gird new form which made him look...almost like a...how was she kidding exactly rotting corpse "Hmmm Gird are you okay?" She asked him. Gird seem to be standing okay he says okay then she will believe it.

Hard to say young one. You have been praising the goddess of death after all but you wouldn't look good a skeleton. Maybe you should try becoming a beast that thrives at night rather then a skeleton"

Luz couldn't help but go. "Pfff...I definitely agree with that." She said before looking back at Gird bowing her upper body to him. "Thank you for educating me elder." She told him honestly before turning back to Gird. "Does that new form...weaken you?" she couldn't help but asked him cause of his now...less then healthy look.

Argos watched as the new goblin came inside and apologized for intruding on him like this. He shrugged and said ""Dont worry about it. Honestly I was wondering if I would alone with these trolls for a while. So who are you and where is your tribe?" he asked knowing that a lone goblin meant one of two things. First that they were confident enough in their abilities to fight alone, which if he guessed from the way he talked that was unlikely. Secondly that they were separated from their tribe or hunting party. He hoped it was the former.

Skrik took note of the bear’s behavior as he withdrew. He would have to be cautious but he might be able to use that strong sense of smell to his advantage. Such a sensitive sense could easily bring pain if attacked in the right way. But, first he had to hunt and gather.

The first rabbit he found looked promising, fat and occupied with berries. More interesting was that Skrik could tell it was holding the berries instead of devouring them. Gathering meant that it was delivering them. Fat meant that it likely left more of a trail than its more lean relatives. He might be able to find the den if he tracked this rabbit. But, he had to make a decision.

He could hunt this rabbit now or he could wait and follow it. He could also hunt it and then try to find its trail and backtrack along it to its den. If he followed it, he might learn more about these creatures. But… he really wanted to know about how strength moved from one thing to another, what the colored lights in the pond were, whether or not better tips would give his javelins the edge against a bear, what berries would make better poisons, how difficult is it to catch fish, and where had all his siblings gone?

It was a long list of questions and it only seemed to get longer the more he learned. Still, that did nothing to quench his growing desire and determination to know as much as he possibly could. He still lacked power but… he glanced at the javelin in his fist. Poison, stealth, climbing, all of his success in hunting had come from having greater knowledge than his foe. He couldn’t believe that knowledge would prove to be a weaker path than crude strength. His curiosity demanded that it be so. And, he couldn’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t be at least as strong.

He studied the rabbit closely. It’s body didn’t have much in the way of carrying capacity. It wouldn’t be able to carry many berries at a time. That meant that it would have to return to its den to deliver the berries it had before long. Still, he had a little time left before its departure would be likely.

Skrik decided. He kept to the shadows and the bushes, sneaking as carefully and smoothly as he could to avoid anything that would give him away. He was seeking the rabbit’s trail while working his way downwind and into its blind spot. If there was a convenient tree there, near the rabbit’s trail and its blind spot, then this curious goblin would climb that tree up to the lowest branch that would keep him out of the rabbit’s reach. From there, he would be able to throw and not have to fear immediate reprisal. He could also drop to the ground and block the rabbit’s path back to its den. Like with his earlier hunt at the riverside, horned rabbits who valued something could be motivated to fight instead of flee.

If there was no height advantage that could be obtained, then he would simply block the path and use Butcher’s Insight and Precise Strike to throw a javelin for the rabbit’s center of mass. He would alter his aim to compensate for any anticipated movements and make as little sound as possible while throwing. If the rabbit survived the throw, wounded or not, Skrik would use his Short Spear to engage it when it attempted to get around or through him, using Butcher’s Insight and his past hunting experiences to predict its behavior and movements. But, he would keep his own safety in mind and prioritize avoiding injury over getting a lethal blow. He would also keep his knife handy, just in case.

Ghoul Gird
Going on another adventure > Adventure! /// Day 6 // Morning

Tipping his head slightly to the side at Luz’s question then beginning to inspect himself more thoroughly because of her inquiry at his condition. “I’m okay, I know I don’t look the best but my path is set. The goddess requires more of me and so I do believe that eventually I will lose this skin and muscle. As for weakness?” again he pondered her question while flexing his muscles. With a deep breath he spoke up again, “although I am not as strong as our brother with the metal hand, I am fast now. Faster than I ever was before. My dexterity increased and I acquired a new ability that allows me to dodge harmful blows more easily, like I can sense them before I’m struck.”

Smiling at his friend for a moment then looking back out into the forest briefly, “Goblin Elder!” he called out to the old man, “I will be going exploring and May not return for a few days, and please do not worry about me.” Looking back to Luz again, “I do plan on hunting for the rest of the day to the north after that if you want to join me your welcome too. However at any rate we need to be careful, I doubt anything else in this world has a growth rate or has been blessed by gods within a week of their lives like us. Unique stands out in this world and could very well put a target on our backs that we are not prepared to deal with.”

With that last warning the Ghoul set out into the forest, keeping an eye to the trails and tracks that surrounded the area for anything that looked fun or interesting. He did need to test out his speed, so occasionally he would run forward for a while before turning back and running back to Luz. Gird even played a little game with himself, twisting and turning in between the trees and branches as he ran to avoid touching any of them and getting used to his new agility. He would only stop to investigate the area around them occasionally or stop to drink some water when available.

"Thank you!!" Arch said as he accepted the fruit, holding it well with a hand, "I will be sure to give it to one, but for now I must go hunt. Hope you stay alive and well. May the Goddess watch over you!" And with that, he ran off. He was truly hungry and he knew that things this far would like not be of the nicest kind. So he ran south closer to the caves, eyes and ears open to anything that could become prey, he was really hoping for something, "Something bigger than a rabbit if possible though... or just a big rabbit. I just need some food..." He muttered as he kept going south. Soon he would find something... hopefully.

Goblin Gredy: In Argo's cave

A sigh escaped Gredy as he reached up to rub the back of his neck, taking a moment to collect himself before telling his brief tale. "Well to start with, my name is Gredy." he began, seemingly more confident with himself now that it was clear that he wasn't going to be killed on sight or any other horrible things happen... at least not in the foreseeable future. "I had joined a hunting party being led by our tribe's self named 'tracking expert' Zog to hunt down what he claimed was a fox of some kind."

An annoyed look quickly appeared on his face as anger slowly leaked into his voice. "Zog was an idiot. The 'fox' he was having us track-" his fingers had been brought up to make quotation marks "- turned out to be a wolf. Which is not only bigger and more dangerous than a fox would have been, but he lead us right into its home... and introduced us to the rest of the family. In the mad dash to outrun Zog, I ended up scaling a tall tree after I got separated from everyone else in the bushes... and by the time it was safe to come back down, I had no idea where I was or how to get back to where my tribe lived..."

Hobgoblin Luz

@ReusableSword

Luz could help but look a bit uncomfortable for a second as she held her arm for a second, however, she didn't want to show her leader any weakness so she tried to look at him and give him a smile. "Well...that seems...rough to be honest but if it's your goal when i stand by you." She told him calmly folding her arm in front of her. When Gird warned her about the danger of being monster of such growth and Divine blessing Luz simply nodded to him. "Well, in that case, i feel sorry for whatever fool try to paint a target on us. I'll come with you." She told him planning on following her word.

As Luz followed Gird took it upon himself to test his new body, and from the look of things, Gird was telling the truth for as he ran forward Luz tried to follow suit only to fall behind him. For some reason, she felt that Gird shouldn't be able to move like that his state and yet...Evolution sure is a mysteries thing. As Gird came back Luz made both of her hands into fists and took the stance boxer. "Let test those new abilities of yours." She told him before running forward towards him and begin throwing punches at Gird targetting his face, cheeks, and chest; unfortunately, forgetting to hold back as she attacked him.

Ghoul Gird
Adventure! > Just some harmless training /// Day 6 // Morning

Luz seemed to be distant for a moment, she seemed like she didn’t quite understand what had happened to him or how it made him better. Her worry was apparent even if she tried to hide it. “I will not make you follow this path I have chosen. However, do not misunderstand my reasoning for this. I’m doing this for you, I’m doing this for them.” Glancing off toward the stone church and then back to her, “I’m doing what I can to be stronger, to be better, to be more powerful. All of this, all of my choices and motives are all focused on protecting all of us from whatever may stand against us. That is something that I can promise you.”

He didn’t have much more time to do anything before the female put her fists up in a ready position, saying something about testing his new skills. She lunged at him swinging wildly at him. Honestly it briefly caught him off guard. His new skill [Deathly Movements] kept him protected. Somehow he knew or felt her movements and where they were coming from, this in turn allowed him to dodge some of the attacks she threw at him while most seemed to graze him. Only a few hit their mark.

Activating [Stone Skin] the ghoul attempted to hold his ground. Using what he knew about blocking with his unarmed fighting with the combination of [Stone Skin] and [Deathly Movements] to try and see if he couldn’t improve his skills while she could do the same. A brief training session was always a good way to start off a morning hunt.

Argos listened to the new goblins tale which he now knows is named greedy. It sounded like whoever he was following was a moron. He then sighed and said "well unless they were smart which I'm honestly doubting then they are probably dead by now. Wolves are no easy prey and they become practically unstoppable to us gonlins in a pack. I'm not trying to be mean I'm just preparing you for the worst. Though if you going to stay then you are going to pull your own weight" he said simply. It wouldn't be so bad for him to have a partner at least for when the trolls end up getting them whatever food they ask for. Hunting alone was a pain and way to dangerous alone and he could acknowledge that much.

@demonspade64@ReusableSword

The goblins were duking it out together as they sparred gird could feel his mind altering as he moved with more precision. He would soon found out that he had combined his stone skin with his deathly movements and was able to create a new fighting stance. He had just create Stone Wind Stance this stance allowed him to move with fluid motions while still having a strong defence to handle any blows that tried to hit him. He would now be tougher to beat in an unarmed fight.

@Darked13

"you as well little hob" he responded to the goblin saying that may the goddess protect him. He then went back to his spot and got cozy as the animals came around him once more once the goblin had left. As the hobgoblin ran off to find food he would soon hear the familiar growling of a wolf nearby. It turned out that a single wolf had gone hutning and had killed a horned rabbit. It was currently busy eating said rabbit and didn't notice the hobgoblin nearby...

@Haeo

The goblin would soon see the rabbit looking up as if sensing something but if the gonlins stayed still then it simply went back to getting more berries. Clearly he had to keep his bloodlust in check or the rabbit would make a run for it. The goblin would soon notice that their weren't any trees nearby for him to climb so he would have to take his chance on a ground attack and hope for the best. The rabbit kept eating berries and kept working on getting some for it's den.

Ogre Ren
The Beginnings Of a Forge/// Morning >> Noon // Day 6

@Jangel13

Carefully removing the book from the shelf, he tucked it into the 'belt' of his new garb; where it fit snugly. Standing with a grunt, Ren stretched himself as he beckoned his wolf to follow, it was time he get to work on creating his workshop. Nodding to the Goblin Elder as he picked up his massive sword, the Ogre headed back to the Shrine of Gatoven. Without so much as a word he went to work, finding a large rock, nearly as big as Ren himself. It would do perfectly as a smelter. Activating [Stoneskin], he proceeded to hollow out the inside of the rock with his fists, taking great care not to break the large stone in the process. After hollowing out a little under three quarters of the massive rock, Ren carefully lifted it, flipping it over to the other side; repeating the process, but leaving about a half inch of stone separating the two chambers. Taking a smaller rock, Ren created himself a crude chisel, in turn using that chisel to create a channel leading out from the upper chamber, to allow smelted metal to flow into casts. Next, he carefully chiseled out a small exhaust port for the lower chamber of the smelter, allowing smoke to be vented without losing too much heat. After careful inspection of his handiwork, Ren decided he was satisfied with his design, carefully lifting off the ground, and bringing it to his camp at the shrine, and placing a stone slab beneath it, as to not allow the fire to catch the rest of his future workshop. Now that he'd made a smelter, all he needed was the forge itself. Using the same technique he'd created the smelter with, Ren broke down many sizable rocks into stone bricks.

Though it was a time consuming task, Ren finally completed his forge. Yet, even with his great success-- he could tell something was missing. Something important. It was the item he had witnessed the forgefather do all the hitting of the metal on; the very centerpiece of his workshop! He needed to make one! But the only metal Ren could use to create the final piece was that of the shrine itself! However the Ogre was understandably hesitant to do this. After countless minutes of consideration, Ren knew what he needed to do, he would use the shrine to make the special piece, and that would be the new shrine. But first, he would need to find a flame worthy of shaping such a monument to the god of steel. Kneeling before his wolf, scraping a bit of steel from the shrine; just enough to spread like a powder, Ren adorned his Wolf's forehead with the crude image of Gatoven's hammer, finally giving his companion a name, "I dub thee Ferrus, and baptize ye in the name of the forgefather, may his grace bless you as it has myself."

Rising once more, Ren took Ferrus out to hunt, in search of the finest flame. The Ogre wouldn't dare ask his god for guidance until after this new monument was complete, so he'd need to find what he needed on his own.

Skrik observed that the rabbit was skittish. It might be a big target but it still valued its survival and with all that fat it probably didn't need to eat desperately enough to fight over it. He calmed his mind, focusing on expanding his awareness while staying focused on the horned rabbit. His Butcher's Insight would help him predict the beast's movements and land a good hit, as would his Pierce skill. He held his Short Spear in his left hand to keep it off the ground and away from things that might make sound. In his right, he readied a Poisoned Light Javelin.

His target was the center of mass of the horned rabbit. He hurled the javelin while keeping his movements silent and used the follow through motion to carry his right hand to join his left on the short spear's shaft. He would be ready with both hands on the weapon if the javelin was not enough to bring down the larger rabbit.

He did have one lingering concern. He had tried to place himself between the rabbit and its den. But, that meant that anything in its den would be behind him. He would have to focus his vision on the prey in front of him and trust his ears to detect anything that might come from another direction.

Hobgoblin Luz

@ReusableSword@Jangel13

Luz went all out on her assault but to her surprise, most of her attacks hit nothing but air, and the few that did land on him was only able to land on small parts of his flesh, It was now clear to her that Gird dodging capability was now on a whole nother level from what it before. After 15 seconds of none stop punch throwing Luz then decided to jump backward twice creating a gap of 10 yards between the two so that her body can get a small break; however, she did not let her guard down for she kept in her boxer stance and watched him like a hawk.

"Damn you were not kidding. Your reaction time and agility is something else." She told him sounding impressed however she did not waste any more time talking for if Gird were to attack her then and there while she fapping her gums she would have no one to blame but herself. Luz then decided to use her craw and swing it down at the vines that held her spear on her back before grabbing her spear behind her on its way down before turning her spear backward so that the pointed end was pointing away from him and taking a combat stance where it easier to thrust the butt of her spear in his direction.

It was then clear that Luz knew that Gird new form created a gap of power between them so in order to win Luz must pull out all the stops. she then charges at him and getting into striking distance before she begins rapidly thrust the butt of her spear at him. then after the 6 thrust, Luz decided it was finally time to start using it. So she pulled the spear back after her 6 thrust and aimed it at his gut, then she thrust it faster than normal using her skill Quick Strike then regardless of rather not it actually hit or not she would then keep thrust so long as Gird was still on his using Quick Strike every 2-3 thrust.

Ghoul Gird
Just some harmless training > this is going to hurt /// Day 6 // Morning

Gird was quite impressed himself in his current abilities and the addition of a new fighting stance just made him feel all the stronger. But then she backed off giving more room in-between the two, a good strategy against someone that needs to get up and personal. He watched her movements for a little while. Luz’s body language was telling him she was going to come at him again.

In the brief moment of her complement Gird whispered to the spirit he was carrying around with him, “Gobta after this I might need some of your knowledge about healing. Because this is going to hurt.” He was well aware of what he was doing. It wouldn’t be very fair for him to gain all the skills and have his friend gain nothing in return. That and with what he was about to do he knew it would test his Stone Skin skill.

Luz charged from her position the blunt end of her spear facing him. Gird resisted all of his natural instincts to dodge and instead he focused on blocking the strikes with his for arms and legs but otherwise taking every hit. Planting his feet deeper hit after hit to stay upright and resist his friend’s strength to throw him to the ground. Taking the last blow to his stomach he dropped to one knee momentarily. Taking a moment to stand back up and resume his defensive position.
