Fighting style
Aikido. A japanese martial art that Yoichi studied first and foremost. Yoichi mainly studied it since she tries to avoid using serious lethal force on her opponent should she go hand-to-hand with such individuals. Basically, she knows how to step in, turn to avoid attack and turn her opponents momentum against them using throws and joint locks. But if she has no choice but to get lethal, she's also familiar with various long range sniper rifles and smg's.

Strengths
A natural born leader and tatician, Yoichi usually is called upon to lead a squad should the need arise. Otherwise, she's usually long range support either with weapons or her unique powers.

Weakness
Even though Yoichi knows Aikido and SMG usage as a weapon, close range combat can a problem for her depending on who her opponent is. In a world with mutant superpowers and since Yoichi doesn't have superpowered endurance, speed and strength, such opponents may give her trouble if they get close enough to her or if they know superior fighting styles. She's more brains than brawn.

Equipment
Pretty much anything MSU assigns to her based on the mission or wherever they send her but she also always has a laptop with her.

Power

Strengths
Though classified, Yoichi has a very...unique power. She can use a "spellbook" to summon fireballs, iciles and electricity from her hands for long range attacks and even use some healing on herself or others around her. What's never fully understood is if this is a mutant power or legit "magic". Yoichi even says that she's also trying to learn new "spells" as well. MSU has classified the answer if Yoichi is a mutant or some sort of "mage" or "wizard" but even amonst MSU members, it's always a popular topic for debate. She can even control the fire, ice or electricity into ball shaped projectiles around her as if she's using her mind or some form of kinektic power.

Weaknesses/Limitations
Yoichi actually mumbles some gibbish some of the time when she summons her element of choice around her. It's also one of several reasons why some think she's using legit magic but some think it's just an act or a way for her to focus her energy into the attack. So it is possible to hear the attack in general getting set up when she mumbles something you don't understand. Plus her "spells" are limited to those three elements and healing. Not alot of variety at the moment with her powers. Plus, while she can surround herself with her projectiles and control them, she can't put them very far ahead before they harmlessly drop to the ground. When she launches them away or pushes them too far from her, she's no longer in control of them. As stated, she's more long range support than close range despite knowing Akido.

Extra
As shown above, alot about Yoichi aka Setsuka is sealed and classified due to the measures MSU puts on it's agents, soldiers and members. For those well-informed on MSU though, there are rumors that float around some of it's members. For Yoichi, there are several. One story is that she's a decendant of a group of "shrine maidens" that once battled demons in ancient japan. Hence her ability to use her abilities. Another is that she's the daughter to mutant parents who both had pyro, cyro and electro based kinesis and healing factors. Yet another says that a branch in Japan was breeding and training "mages" to help keep mutants in check. It's unclear though what's fact and what's fiction with Yoichi at the moment.

Thats kinda what I was going to do with my two characters should they get accepted. For some, a mysterious backstory revealed during the RP works but it's up to the host.

@DarkRecon You're good to go with the werewolf character. Looking forward to what he comes up with, with little bro' Maksim.

However, the second character has too many abilities and magic isn't up for discussion in the world, especially from MSU agents. It doesn't exist, (I am aware that it isn't actually magic). You put a lot of work into the character, but I am afraid I can't accept someone with that range of abilities, both elemental and healing. I stated that you could have one mutation with other abilities/passive abilities directly related to that one ability. Ice, lightning, fire, and healing doesn't work, I'm afraid.

@Archmage MC You're good to go.

Yeah, I prefer the minimalist approach myself as well. Although I've also gotta feel out this character to iron out her personality and everything.

@Shard What about mine? Can I learn "Fairy magic" down the line? Mostly Will o the Wisps, a bit of healing, Fairy Fire, wind resistance, ext...

However, as I stated in the opening post, magic doesn't exist. Fantasy creatures don't exist. If you have one mutation, you can't evolve abilities that have nothing to do with that mutation. You don't learn mutations, they evolve from what you already have.

Yeah I get that. Was just basing all of those things off fairy lore itself. I mean, weren't ye olde fairies in this world mutants back in the day, so what they could do in the stories is what Willow can eventually do? (Although obviously modified because unreliable stories and whatnot. And of course no magic.) Just figuring out a path of evolution is all xd.

I stated that some things existed and were mutants, not all things. Mainly people who were recognized by society in one way or another, not fantasy creatures hidden away from mankind. No matter what you base your character template on, I'd prefer it if you stick to the mutant biology I put together.

If you are dissatisfied with how your character will turn out in the long run because of this, you are welcome to make a new one, but as it stands, the plans you have for Willow won't pan out in this specific RP.

Power

Strengths
Though classified, Yoichi has a healing factor. A rather well-known mutant trait since she isn't the only mutant in the world that has the ability. Any injury she suffers can quickly heal itself depending on how server the injury. Minor injuries like cuts and bruises may need only seconds or a minute to fully heal. Major injuries though, like broken bones, may need anywhere to an hour or more to fully heal. She can even regrow limbs if they are cut from her body but THAT process would require a whole day to repair. Plus said limb would need more time to restore it's orginal muscle mass before the cut. The process is quicker if Yoichi stops and rests to allow her body to catch up and focus more on the process.

Weaknesses/Limitations
As Yoichi herself knows, just because you have a healing factor doesn't mean your invincible. A headshot with a bullet or piercing her heart can still put her down like any normal person. Even though she has a mutant healing factor, she doesn't have the super strength, speed and endurance of one. She's still human in those areas. The healing factor can also be a very painful process depending on the injury. The pain from repairing a major injury or a lost body part can keep her from even moving or focusing properly during a fight. It can even be overtaxed if consistent damage or a powerful attack hits her hard enough to stop it. If she's exausted, it won't even work at all so time, rest and energy is also needed in some extreme cases.

There is a facility there that also trains mutants to work in ways the MSU does. While it's unknown if MSU owns that branch, it seems they have a partnership with a group similar to them there at least. It's said that because of her skill set, she was requested to come to America to be a support member for the others at MSU. Other than that, nothing much is known of her personal history.

Origin
Nari was born to mutant parents in Azure City on August 1, 1982. Her parents, while not immigrants, still maintained native level fluency in Hangugeo and the Hangul script, thus passing it down to their daughter. She grew up in a wealthy household, so almost anything she had an interest in was facilitated. Once her mutant powers manifest at the age of 5, her parents swiftly made sure she got the proper education and training from a mutant school as well as some private tutors. She spent her life until the age of 18 learning various skills and hobbies to keep herself busy.

When she graduated and became a full adult, she went on to earn her Bachelor's, then Master's, and finally a PhD in botany. She graduated at the age of 32, managing a slightly early graduation compared to most. During this education, she took up learning martial arts. The diversion helped her realize how much she liked to insert herself into conflicts that arose. After graduation, she started her business immediately with a startup loan from her parents. She paid off the loan within the year given her high production ability and variety of goods she could produce without issue. By the age of 36, she was considered wealthy herself, though she kept to decently modest living, not wanting to spend away her money. Within the past year, she has taken up a vigilante identity due to a few events that happened within her life driving her to try and become a force beyond just a businesswoman and to have some fun taking down villains or criminals.

Weaknesses
🔹 When faced with an opponent resistant to her toxins and pheromones, she can be overcome by brute strength given her smaller size and strength. Her martial arts mitigate this somewhat with certain strikes, but she is still only average in strength and significantly shorter than the average.
🔹 Her focus upon redemption makes her more vulnerable to a surprise first strike as she wants to offer redemption before striking.
🔹 Chemicals designed to kill plants can hurt her severely.

🔹 She doesn't carry any equipment and instead just carries some rations, drinks, and reading material for those long nights. She prefers to avoid firearms as she can simply create plants to do the same type of thing, but she is not opposed to using them.

Strengths
🔹 Can make plants grow and appear out of nowhere.
🔹 Can alter plant characteristics and revive recently dead or withered plants. This includes things such as increased growth speed, fruit alteration, causing production outside of normal seasons, etc.
🔹 Can use plants for locomotion.
🔹 Manipulate wood (dendrokinesis).
🔹 Can weaponize plants.
🔹 Release toxins and pheromones (toxigenesis). Her toxins can induce aphrodisiac effects, hallucinogenic effects, and damaging effects. Her pheromones can allow her to charm people, incite or heighten certain emotions, or even as relief to stress, emotions, or feelings like pain.
🔹 Telekinetically move plants.

Weaknesses/Limitations
🔹 Anything that would inhibit her ability to psychically and physically affect plants with her pheromones and pollen would cause her power to fail. If one or two of the components is blocked, she can still do alterations, though they are slower and less effective.
🔹 Long dead vegetation is impossible to revive.
🔹 Despite being able to strengthen plants, she cannot make them stronger than steel or the like as they cannot reach those characteristics physically.
🔹 Her toxigenesis is pheromone and pollen based, so it can be thwarted with respiratory protection. Her pheromones can be resisted by sufficiently strong willpower. (continued exposure can potentially erode the will if given enough doses and time)

Extra

🔹 Nari's mutation caused her to become an omnivorous plant creature. Thus, she can supplement her diet with photosynthesis and water. She can alter how own body within the realms of her power. This particular usage of her mutation is far less taxing and does not require pheromones given it is her own desire. Her sense of smell is enhanced specifically to allow detection of pheromones.
🔹 She is a vigilante that tries to redeem villains. If they refuse the offer of her redemption, she will attempt to kill them. Criminals that are not dangerous to the lives of citizens are given the option of redemption or arrest.
🔹 No, she is not extra vulnerable to fire. Green plants don't burn any better than humans.
🔹 Functions as a native speaker of both English and Hangugeo (Korean). Can read and write Hangul (Korean alphabet).
🔹 Nari has almost twice as efficient night vision as normal.
🔹 Realistically, she is able to make herself live as long any of the oldest plants given her ability to heal herself as well as alter herself.
