Physical AppearanceNikolai Petrokov is best described as incredibly dense. While somewhat short in stature, he makes up for this in filling his clothes with muscle. He keeps his head shaved down to just bristles of hair, and keeps his facial hair lightly trimmed. Underneath his clothes, a sprawling tattoo of the Bratva's symbol fills his back. Nikolai's chest is marked with the scars of stab wounds, former sores, and a bullet hole or two.
AttireWhile typically a man who appreciates his own culture, Nikolai tries to dress with the times. He appreciates a good Italian suit, and has a collection ordered from the tailor for some of the Castra Nostra's best men. He rarely wears a tie with his dress shirts, and keeps a fine watch made by his grand uncle on his wrist as frequently as possible. When working out, you are likely to find Nikolai in a red track suit with white stripes, with a white tank top underneath.
Weaponry & SkillsStandard WeaponWhen needing something stealthy and calculated, the Pistolet Besshumnyy (Makarov w/ integral supressor) is often deployed. When feeling lucky, MP-412 REX revolver is employed. When things need to be done the old fashioned way, Nikolai often uses either a set of brass knuckles or a pair of pliers he keeps tucked away in his suit pockets. Opening the trunk of his car would reveal an AKS-74U and a Vepr-12, along with plenty of ammo and a few leftover bloodstains. The man likes his toys.
SkillsBorn to be a tool, Nikolai is the most potent tool at the Bratva’s disposal. He’s managed to best a few of the West End’s best boxers through sheer will and stamina, and knows how to break nearly any enemy of his family through torture. In the past few years, his efforts has been focused on protecting the Bratva’s prostitution ring, and has proven rather persuasive in an aggressive manner at rooting out competition and unsavory sorts threatening his business.
StrengthsNikolai is fluent in Russian and English, as his parents used both interchangeably when he was young. He is incredibly strong and durable. His gifts in interrogation, however, are his best asset.
WeaknessesNikolai’s greatest flaw is his hubris. He seems himself as invincible, and even the slightest insult sets him into a blind rage. His anger makes him sloppy, and it’s only a matter of time until his actions create a trail that can take him down.

What I’m Really LikeNikolai waves an air of arrogance wherever he goes. He carries his weight as the firstborn son of the Bratva’s New York head. When he is met with the slightest obstacle or inconvenience, Nikolai ensures it is destroyed. When enrages, he lacks the pretentiousness and tact that makes him an effective tool: Nikolai instead becomes a raging fire of destruction.
All About My PastAlexi Petrokov was the head of the Obshina Bratva in New York City for 20 years before his wife gave birth to their first child. He was born exactly on the due date, a rather large infant. Perhaps it was irony that made Nikolai grow into one of the smallest kids on the playground. At a young age, he was picked on for being the short one. Little did they know Petrokovs do not take such insults lightly. From that day forth, the little Nikolai made his body a temple of strength and endurance. He nearly killed some poor kid in high school who called him “shorty.”
By the age of sixteen, Nikolai had begun working for the family. Just driving and small errands at first, until it eventually progressed to jobs suiting a strong and intimidating presence. By the age of 23, Nikolai was allowed to run one of the family’s small illegal brothels as a trial run. When he was 27, Nikolai had been placed in charge of the premier illegal brother in New York City and oversaw the prostitution ring the Bratva were known for. He prefers to handle his business personally. He also typically represents his father’s interests at meetings, since Alexi has begun withdrawing himself due to his sickness.
My BloodNikolai wasn’t the only child to be born of Alexi. A year after his birth, his brother Misha was born nearly a month early. It was a miracle he survived. Zhanna was a surprise a few years later. The three were close, often finding they could only truly share their familial drama with each other. It was a lonely childhood for the three.
Alexei briefly worked as a Russian intelligence operative before moving to the U.S. in the late 80s, hoping to gather intelligence on the U.S. whilst also involving himself in the Russian Mob. When the motherland fell and the power of the Bratva rose in the motherland, Alexei Petrokov did what he needed to keep himself alive. He and the girlfriend he brought to the States got married as Alexei settled into the New York crime scene with the permission of the Casa Nostra. He was never a kind or forgiving father, and has abused each of his children throughout their lives. As of late, Alexei has withdrawn himself from the Bratva's operations and dealings. Only Zhanna and Nikolai know that their father has been diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, and that it's almost certain that his days are numbered. The only question is how long it will be until Nikolai becomes the official head of the family.
Misha has been disowned for nearly 8 years. He was cast out by Alexi, a conservative despite his illegal affairs. When the second born came out to his family, Alexi gave him a day to pack his things and find his own way. Nikolai has kept in touch every now and then with his estranged brother, but Misha has become increasingly bitter towards all remnants of his family and past life. Misha has recently settled down with his husband, and they are in the process of adopting a child.
Zhanna helps manage The Yellow Ticket, the premiere underground brothel in New York City. She typically runs the house on Nikolai's behalf, acting as the face and lady of the place. She is capable in her own right, and is the only member of the immediate family to actually graduate from college. Zhanna's goal is to take over the running of the business side of things when Nikolai becomes the head of the family, and her brother is more than willing to let her take care of the particulars.
RelationshipsNikolai doesn't have many close relationships. He has a solid working relationship with Dmitri, his "personal assistant." Dmitri acts as Nikolai's driver and janitor, cleaning up any mess the heir makes and taking him where he needs to go. Dmitri is a recently made man, and knows more about the business than Nikolai realizes. Nikolai has a good relationship with his family, as they are the most important people to him. He lacks any romantic relationships currently, but is involved in sexual relations with some of the women in the employ of the Bratva. He hasn't involved himself with members of the other families in New York, remaining somewhat of a wild-card in the political landscape.
