Jason glares at the water thing called Shaula, and stretches before he walks though the portal, following Trevor. He stares at the giant spider blankly for a moment, then raises his hands, blasting it with flames. He just shakes his head slightly. "Nope. Nope, you burn like the devil you are. Nope. No. Die." His mind seems to be in shock at seeing a real life Arogog. He flies up, out of the monsters reach, and stares at it blankly, like he's stuck in a living nightmare. He continues shooting flames at the beast. He looks for Trevor, trying to make sure that he wasn't in the path of the flames. He snaps his head back to the now flaming spider, but he's not willing to get any closer to the giant spider. He wasn't moving until the monster was a pile of soot on the ground, and he was happy to stay there.

When Celina saw Trevor enter the portal, she though about it a bit. Well.. if he was going in... and that bird also was going in, might as well go in also. She then headed in, seeing the giant spider and seeing the phoenix person going to burn it. She frown as she looked at the spider. "Nope nope nope..." she said, looking at the flames, and then feeling something inside of her. She concentrated and then suddenly blasted fire onto the spider, surprising her a bit right now, but just keep doing that. Did she have the same magic as that phoenix guy, or was it something else? She was not sure, but she just kept blasting the thing as much as possible so that it would fall into ashes. She disliked spiders already. But seeing a giant one like that... A normal person would have run, but for Celina, she was not afraid. Instead, she was the type of person to go instead get a giant boot out of the closet and squish a spider down as best as she can until it was paste. Unfortunately she was first off... missing the boot, second off, she doubt that she could actually squish it considering its size.

Mia

It seemed that when Mia mentioned that she was a med school student, that jogged the shadowy dragon's memory. Apparently he was a doctor before all of this happened, though he seemed to think that his knowledge was useless now that everyone had been transformed. Mia tried to reassure him. "I'm sure your medical knowledge will still be at least somewhat useful. Especially since I'm not really sure what the limitations of my magic are. I haven't tried it on anything worse than a snakebite."

Without any clue of where the portal leads, a few of these people were willing to just jump in without a second thought. "W-wait...I wouldn't-" Mia began to say, but three of them had already gone through before she even began to speak. "Do you think it's safe? I'm not really sure if it's a good idea." As she went closer to the portal, she could faintly hear what was happening on the other side.

"Nope. Nope, you burn like the devil you are. Nope. No. Die."

"Nope nope nope..."

The fact that they were able to speak was a good sign, but there was an awful lot of 'nope' coming from that portal. It seemed like they were fighting something. She poked her head through for a brief moment, only to see the rest of the group fighting some of the biggest spiders she'd ever seen. "It looks like they're in trouble!" She called back to the others. She then went through to help them out. Though she didn't have many offensive options, these spiders seemed venomous, which meant her magic would be useful if someone was bitten.

Aerin gave a sort of smile at the other dragon. “I suppose, but i'm pretty sure I don't have blood, that girl appears to be made of water, and another from slime. A bit out of my league there. But with types like you I suppose I could help somewhat.” he mused, following after the dragon as she went to the portal.

He wasn't the most enthusiastic about going through bizarre unknown and probably dangerous portals either, but the sun was starting to get to him and it was so temptingly dark in there. He'd not try to stop the dragon girl from going in, but would hesitate a little bit. Finally, the fear of being left behind got to him and he floated through it, sliding almost immediately away from the light of the portal.

His whole body would shiver a little as his eyes flared up a little brighter from excitement. It felt so much better in the dark! Everything seemed to move a little slower to him once again as his mind sharpened up without the interference of the light distracting it. The sight with the spider though, as insignificant as the creature was, made him chuckle rather darkly at the thought crossing his mind.

“I may not be too familiar with the situation yet, but as a once human creature moving along with a group of human's turned in to strange beings, I do hope these spider creatures are not ex humans as well. I do hope you attempted to talk before attacking.” he'd state, a slightly more confident tone to his voice now that he was back in his element.

Shaula

"Don't put words in my mouth! I never said anything about lizard people," Shaula said to Trevor. Besides, that would be ridiculous; there was no evidence for lizard people now that she knew Trevor wasn't one. The conversation turned to the portal, then Trevor and Jason waltzed straight through to who-knows-where without so much as grabbing a granola bar. The other three were more cautious. "I'm coming right back," Shaula said to them, "Don't do anything stupid without me, got it?" She ran back to her house, hoping the portal wouldn't close without her. If she wanted to figure out how to fix all this, going through was her best option.

Climbing down the ladder to her bunker, Shaula grabbed a backpack and stuffed it full of canned food, water bottles, a can opener, a flashlight, and of course, a large bag of Orgone emitters that she had kept in there just for emergencies. She locked the door and headed back to find that the others had already left. The edges of the portal were shimmering and trembling, like it was straining just to hold itself open - she didn't have much time. Shaula ran, jumped through the portal, and -

She landed, nearly headfirst, onto a hard, rocky surface just as the portal snapped shut behind her. It lead to a dark, underground cavern, with passages branching off in every direction and spurts of fire lighting the room. There was some shouting and a lot of "nopes", but Shaula didn't pay much attention to them, as a giant, flaming spider was barely ten feet away from her. It had great, hairy legs and venomous pincers that looked like they could rip a person in half.

The spider lumbered around in a blind rage, trying to extinguish itself against the wall while avoiding the fire Jason shot at it. Shaula tried to stand up but couldn't. She hadn't completely made it through the portal in time - it had cut off her legs. Between that and the spider, she started panicking, but then she saw something extraordinary: her legs were slowly reforming themselves, as though the water knew what shape to take. Before they could reform, however, the spider leapt at the group in a last-ditch effort to kill them - Shaula was barely able to roll out of the way in time. If not for it being on fire, it would have been impossible to see where the spider was. Unfortunately for Shaula, she didn't realize that until after she panicked and shot it with water.

The spider hissed and screeched at every fire attack that hit it, and it seemed like it was going to go down, at least, until Shaula came in, and put out the flames. Earlier, she said she never said anything about lizard people, but... if she was a conspiracy theorist looking at a dragon, Trevor was certain she was at least THINKING it. Either way, the spider, now a bit more confident about attacking the group went right for Trevor, fangs-first, and unfortunately, he wasn't paying much attention, since he was trying to tell Shaula that the enemy being on fire was a GOOD thing, so, he took some damage from the venomous fangs, but... oddly enough, he didn't even feel like he was poisoned. Aerin then came through the portal, and seemed to be concerned that this might be a former human, as well, and, despite the hissing and screeching, Trevor thought that might still be at least SOMEWHAT possible, so, he asked "Hey, were you a human, before, too? If so, um... sorry about the fire, and we'll heal you up," the spider gave no response, save for another screech... this time, a few tiny spiders seemed to surround it, and the three tiny spiders seemed to be using some sort of weird... shield spell on the main spider, at this point. Trevor tried to ignore the shield spell, and just tried to breathe fire on the main spider, again, but... nothing happened. Seemed like the shield was at least good enough to protect it against fire attacks, unfortunately. Trevor then thought back to the video games he's played, and tried to remember if he had seen something like this before... a big thing that's suddenly protected by a bunch of smaller, probably weaker things... hmmm.

"Don't put it out you fool! That's the only way we can see the darn thing!" He continues shooting flames at the now soaked spider, but it doesn't relight, only bellowing smoke. He screeches in anger, a high pitch raptors cry. He tries to ignite his wings, but the moisture from Shaula's water blast making them steam instead. He mutters under his breath, and runs off into the distance, and begins drawing on the stone with his white hot talon, ignoring the fight for now, intent on finishing his drawing. He draws nonstop, in incredible detail, taking care to stay out of the way of the monster spider.

As the spider were burning before, Celina hoped it would last until they were dead... but that was not the case when Shaula panicked and actually extinguished the spider... it was then that the small spiders arrived and actually stayed near the big one and that a sort of barrier seem to form, protecting those things against the fire that Trevor used. This was bad, very bad. She though about it a bit, thinking about what she could do, before imagining a large hammer possibly... She though about it before feeling her arm change a bit. She looked at it as it formed to a very large hammer. Well.. that could work. Considering those spiders just arrived and possibly protected the big one, she rushed forwards and then started to try to bash the ground onto one of the small spider, trying to squish it as best as she could right now. "Nope, die, nope, not having more of you, nope." she then says, very annoyed about those things. She did NOT want to have those here and she just wanted them gone.

Mia

Having burst into flames, it seemed like the spider was near death, at least until the crazy water lady decided to shoot water at it, which only served to put the fire out. To make matters worse, three smaller spiders began casting some kind of shield spell. There wasn't much she could do about the spiders, but since Trevor had been bitten, it was a good opportunity to try out some of her other magic.

For a moment, she closed her eyes to concentrate, before a ring of light appeared in the ground beneath her. It quickly expanded, until it surrounded everyone in the group. Not only did it give them a light source, but if Mia was understanding this spell correctly, then it should heal Trevor's bite wound, and maybe even speed up the regeneration of Shaula's legs.

Aerin would not really make any attempts to mess with the spider, feeling quite content to just hang out in the dark and watch the little show of powers. He was feeling quite untouchable at the moment, so fighting or even worrying about it was beneath him. Instead, he'd take a little look about the room, making sure there were not any more sneaking up on them.

Well, at least until that almost painfully bright light emitted from Mia, not only was it bright but it felt like it was singing his shadowy scales and sapping his strength. Almost instinctively he'd let out an almost feral hiss and slide away from the light, partially phasing back in to the walls. His body did not approve of whatever that was! "Watch where you're shining that beacon!" he'd huff out, slipping in to the shadowiest spot he could find.

Shaula

Shaula had accidentally extinguished the spider in a moment of panic, and the rest of the group didn't look too happy about it. Trevor looked like he had wanted a word with her before the spider attacked him, and Jason yelled at her as though she had extinguished it on purpose. "Oh, you think I don't know that?" She yelled back. "You try fighting a giant, flaming spider when you're made of water, we'll see how you do!" Three small spiders came crawling out of the tunnels nearby to surround the large one, which became cloaked in a dim green light that seemed to protect it from their attacks.

Her water wouldn't damage it now, but that wasn't her only weapon. If Orgone could protect her from chemtrails, aliens, and ridiculously high water bills, why couldn't it work on giant spiders, too? Shaula took an emitter from her backpack and pointed it at the spider, sending a wave of Orgone energy at it. The spider, however, couldn't care less. It didn't seem to mind the Orgone at all, though Shaula hadn't really expected it to work; she hadn't made these emitters to fight off giant spiders from twenty feet away. She needed it closer, so she threw the emitter as hard as she could.

Rather than hurting the spider, the emitter bounced off and flattened one of the smaller ones. It was difficult to see what had happened in the dim light, but the large spider's green glow gave an unmistakable flicker and dimmed slightly. The Orgone emitter was doing its job. Over by Mia, a ring of light on the ground expanded outward to surround the entire group. As it passed Shaula, she felt her legs begin to reform faster, until she was able to stand up a moment later. She made a mental note to thank Mia later and began throwing more Orgone emitters at the spider, hoping they would be able to kill it.

Trevor was deep in thought for a bit as he seemed to remember an enemy from a video game fighting in a very similar manner... leave it alive for a turn, and it'll summon a smaller enemy that produces a shield for it, though, in this case, it was three. He shook his head, and thought What next? Are we going to start fighting X-nauts, too? Maybe there will be a part where we have to sign up for some sort of fighting league... sheesh. Trevor hardly noticed Mia's healing, but once he figured out what she did, he nodded and thanked her before attacking and finishing off the last of the three tiny spiders, breaking the shield spell around the bigger one, which promptly attacked Mia, though, Trevor got in the way, saying "Nope! Sorry, can't have you hurting the healer... even if we're supposed to be focusing on attacking, right now," it didn't seem like the spider understood what Trevor said, but at least his own team understood, right? Of course, right after the thing's attack, three more tiny spiders emerged, forming a new shield around the bigger one. "Ugh... just like I said, everyone, focus your attacks on the smaller ones, for now. They should be weak, so just... hurt them with anything, and they'll go down, okay?" Trevor informed his teammates while the spider's shield formed, yet again... protecting it from any sort of harm.

Jason grabs the nearst one, ripping it apart. "How many of these things are there?!" He says in disbelief. "They just keep coming!" He backs away from the fight, and begins drawing weapons and animals with his fire. He lifts a large battleaxe, and hurls it at one of the shield spiders, splitting it open. "WHY WOULDN'T YOU DIE?!" He begins setting his weapons on fire as he throws them, and flies out of the way of a larger spider jumping at him. "Little help guys?" They're swarming across the ground underneath him. One of them bites his leg, and he feels it go numb. "That can't be good. Hey Mia, you can cure poison, right? 'Cause I'm gonna need that soon." He's bleeding from multiple small wounds.

He wavers in the air and curses softly to himself. "If anyone wants me, I'll be behind you all, slowly bleeding to death. Oh, and the poison. Don't forget the poison." He lands in a heap behind the group, and begins coughing.

Though this spell did heal Trevor and Shaula, it seemed to have the opposite effect on Aerin, who quickly retreated away from the light. Perhaps it was his shadowy body that caused him to react this way? He did say earlier that the sun bothered him. It seemed like both of her allies had been healed at that point, anyway, so she halted the spell. As the ring faded away, so did the light that it provided.

Mia very briefly saw the faint glow of the spider's eyes as it turned its gaze towards her. She didn't even have time to react. In an instant, it lunged from one end of the room to the other, straight towards her. She let out a small shriek as she stumble d backwards, though she wasn't fast enough to avoid it. Thankfully, though, she didn't need to. At the last moment, Trevor got in the way, taking the attack himself in the process.

The spider was quick. Before she could respond, someone else was bitten. This time, it was Jason. She was beginning to think these spiders weren't venomous, but soon became clear that their avian friend had been poisoned. As he fled to the backline, Mia rushed over to him. "This might sting a little. Try not to move too much, ok?" With that, she summoned her healing vines, which grew along Jason's body towards his bite wounds. He would feel a slight sting as the vines stitched his wounds, though soon after the numbness would disapear.

Now this was really getting annoying. Those small spiders kept protecting the big ones, and the group could not take care of those dang things. How to stop them though. What could the group even do to destroy those nasty things. She though about it a bit a bit.. and had a crazy idea... She looked at her arm... then concentrated, before going and throwing some of her slime towards some spiders, trying to engulf them like this and possibly damage them, maybe suffocate them. She tried to go and have them not be able to breath and make it that one of the big spiders would at least be vulnerable. She just hoped the group would be able to actually take care of the rest. Sure enough, the slime seem to do the trick on some of the spiders, making them unable to breath. "Go.. and attack... " she says, breathing deeply. That was difficult to do.. but it might give the group an opening to attack.

Shaula

Before they could get any attacks in, more spiders came to shield the large one. Trevor advised the group to take them out first, and Jason was able to get through two before he got bit and collapsed on the ground. Trevor shielded Mia from an attack as she rushed over to help, while Celina took care of the last small spider. The large spider's protection vanished and the room went dark again. Shaula fumbled around in her backpack for a flashlight and flicked it on but dropped it in surprise as it shocked her. The flashlight rolled across the floor, briefly illuminating the cave ceiling and a set of large, hairy legs scuttling towards them.

She didn't have much time, and as if that wasn't bad enough, she was out of Orgone emitters. Her only option was to blast it with water like before. Shaula held out her arms toward where the spider had been, and, to her genuine surprise, water shot from her palms and almost knocked her backward before she regained her balance. She kept the stream going for as long as she could, unable to tell whether she was hitting the spider or the cave wall, then stopped, out of breath and feeling completely drained. "Someone said they can shoot lightning, didn't they?" Shaula said in between breaths, "It's soaked! Electrocute it, already!"

Jason stands up, shuddering. "That felt weird. Who all here wants a weapon? I'll start drawing, you guys cover me." He runs to a back wall and begins drawing. After each drawing is completed, he pulls the weapon out of the wall and tosses it in the general direction of the group. He continues making item after item, swords, axes, spears, and a large glaive, until the floor next to him is strewn with what appears to be the gutted insides of a medieval armory. He tosses a large flaming spear into the spider, and begins drawing armor. "Why didn't I do this before? Come get some gear, quick!" He lifts a large metal bow, and begins shooting steel arrows at the spider, careful not to hit his friends.

Aerin gave a bit of a grumble as the light magic was turned off and he started to feel like himself again. Well, more than himself as it was briefly dark until Shaula turned her flashlight on. That was a much more manageable light though, it barely bothered him.

He'd give a catlike flick of his tail as he watched the chaos unfold, finding himself preferring to be an observer for now. Not to mention the spider, constant target of whatever magic the group had, was literally getting lit up with magical effects. Watching it cautiously, his eyes would flash as his shadowy form got a little lighter as he unknowingly gave the spider a lovely curse of bad luck.

"This is a little.. entertaining actually Keep it up, your powers are fascinating" he'd muse, "Just no more of that light, it wasn't very fun."

Everyone seemed to be busy dealing with the smaller ones, and, soon enough, they were gone, and the big spider was soaking wet. "Perfect," Trevor said as he noticed that Shaula soaked it, and even suggested using lightning. He then added "Ha, now that's something I can do!" and... after that, he focused on his lightning magic, and shot a lightning bolt from the tip of his right index claw to the spider, which finally took enough damage to just keel over. "Glad that's over, let's get outta here," Trevor then said as he passed by the body of the spider, which seemed to just disappear, only for a few bronze coins to appear in its place. Trevor didn't see, or notice the coins, but said coins had a sort of pickaxe emblem on it... and were clearly some form of currency. Heading onward, Trevor used his poor sense of direction to just keep going in circles for a while until he finally got annoyed with seeing the same 'II' marking on the same wall over and over, again, and he finally asked "So... is anyone here good at mazes, and or seeing in the dark? With what limited dark vision that I have, I can already tell that I'm not getting anywhere, and that these tunnels are a labyrinth," he then kept trying to move... anywhere in this darkness, with the only feedback being the occasional markings on a wall that he'd have to literally feel for, and the cold stones both underneath, and around Trevor... though, at a certain point, Trevor could almost swear he could faintly smell the easily distinguishable smell of baking bread... and, soon enough after getting almost nowhere in the maze, and becoming hungry from all the nowhere he's gone, the smell became absolutely AMAZING to him.

Jason pockets the coins, and follows the smell of bread. He stops and dissolves the weapons he drew, and they sink back into the earth. He flies after Trevor, flapping his wings. He begins flying in loops around the room, searching for any secret compartments or rooms. He lands next to Trevor, and examines the strange coins the spider dropped. "What kind of metal are these coins made of?"
