@Animal and for anyone else wanting to start on their characters, the sheet template thing is in the first post, at the bottom. I'm currently making mine, but I'm obsessed with making them pretty so it's taking a bit lol

Finally got my character done, I'll work on her background later I'm tired as crap. But yeah, she's up and I'm off to bed :D

This seems interesting. I will try to make a sheet tomorrow, I did like Fairy Tail back in the day... But that has been a long while ago now, gotta unrust my knowledge about world rules a bit.

Okay but you're the last open slot so now unless someone who claimed interest backs out, we aren't taking any more people.

For the others, I've got three different characters in the works, all following the same core archetype of amorality, whichever the reason is:

• Magnus: A wizard whose body seems to be completely composed of quicksilver, who seeks to further his research on magic and decided the name of Fairy Tail would aid his purposes. Mad Scientist with Extravagant Villain peppered in whose magic is centered around western alchemy (Using reagents to produce different effects of elemental magic, and using his quicksilver as either defensive measures or for assorted tasks by transmuting it into one of the several metals known in alchemy: Lead, Iron, Copper, Silver and Gold).
• Freya: A young woman who uses a combination of nullifying magic and viscious close-quarters combat to reduce her enemies to a pulp, osmeitmes literally. A troublemaker that's always looking for a fight and that will end up wrecking havok if her bloodlust isn't sated, sometihng she hoped that would happen once she joined the legendary guild. Highschool delinquent-type of fellow, with shades of a berserker warrior.
• Lorelai: The middle daughter of a family of infamous Dark Mages, who merely happened to be at the wrong/right place at the wrong/right time to get recruited by Fairy Tail in the hopes of putting her magical prowess to good use. An ever-smiling and naive girl whose morality is quite skewed if not completely opposite to that of normal society due to her upbringing, who sees no issues in using her Bone Magic to create skeletal automatons that she can give simple commands to, if not simply manifesting structures made of bones for whichever purpose she has.

My pick will be most likely influenced by what others characters there are.

@SubjectVision they all sound quite interesting, honestly. I'm curious to see Lorelai's Bone Magic at work as I haven't seen many people mess around with that area of magic too often, and I'm curious what you'll do with it. I also think that if you don't choose to use Magnus, we could incorporate him, later as a minor villain or major villain if you wanted to swing him the other way, he'd be fun to fight.

I enjoy Freya's overall vibe and think she'd get along with Raelia quite interestingly, funny she has a form named Freya. :P

How are the rules on creating new types of magic? Is it allowed? I have two ideas right now and the one I am leaning towards one that would use Pastries (since I always loved the weirder powers in Fairy Tail, like Solid Script or Wool)

@CelesteEste new and original magic types are fine as long as they're not too OP. Post your ideas and I'll let you know, but I'm, sure any pastry powers will be fine :)

Would having magic involving plants be alright? I know that similar magic exists, but what I have in mind is a little different so I’d like to check just in case.

It involves:
-growing plants & accelerating the growth of existing plants
-being able to sustain plants (possibly revive them? not on a big scale though, absolutely nothing bigger than maybe a bush)
-doing these has drawbacks, such as fatigue and having to keep the plants alive means needing to eat and drink more while they exist
-the drawbacks are increased depending on the size, type and amount of plants
-they’re just regular plants, and don’t have any boosted properties, only those that they would have naturally

@Aviaire that sounds fine to me and I'm very interested to see how that is used in terms of combat. So go ahead :)

There seem to be quite the unique range of magics so far which makes me really happy. Ya'lls imaginations are awesome!

Also, if anyone has any ideas for arcs and the like, feel free to voice them as I'm not sure of what ideas I have brewing in my noggin just yet.

@Juvvie I am planning on playing a newcomer so at the start her powers would be quite primitive.

The basics are simple, the power to create and manipulate pastries. The character's most fundamental battle strategy is to be a nuisance, not only overpowering senses such as vision and smell with a barrage of desserts but also making the floor slippery, disrupting fire users or even water users.
One of her spells would be to create very hard bread that acts as either as a shield of limited durability or to bash someone, nothing too crazy, below a wood stick in impact.

Latter spells could include making really large pies that could cushion someone's fall or be an obstacle, creating chocolate bombs covering people in chocolate that hardens over time or even an ultra-specific short range teleport ability in which she can burst out of large enough cake as if it was a pop out cake. As a few examples.

Basically, a utility toolset with no real "punching" power but that is quite flexible.

@Juvvie I read that you still have two spots open. I am interested, but I am not sure if I want to use a female or a male wizard, so I guess I am going to see what the other characters are to keep everything balanced ;)
