@Kuro Okay, yeah, that sounds about like some of the enemies I had in mind. Give or take some details, of course, but remarkably similar. I'll have to give them a good look over to make sure I'm not getting
too similar, and for additional inspiration too.
Awesome, though to be fair I'm sure you could consider just about any fantasy character to be generic - at least to a certain extent. Definitely cool, though, and from the research I've done a mace seems like it would be a pretty good weapon in this kind of scenario.
Right, I guess it's just that a higher post rate generally coincides with player enjoyment. If the players are really digging it, they'll post more. But I'm not an experienced GM, so I'm not sure what to aim for. Regardless, the post frequency is certainly negotiable.

@Inkarnate Not gonna lie, I was about to ask what brought you here. Now I'm not complaining, I'm just surprised. Guess I've come to think of you as a "big-shot" or something. That seems a little insulting to say, and I don't mean it like that. You've always got RPs that seem to run good and smooth when I see them, and they always seem pretty developed compared to what I've done in the past (as far as actual RP structure goes, and in being a GM).

@pugbutter First; your username sounds funny in my head, and makes me feel like an idiot out loud. It's wonderful.
But to answer your questions as delicately as I can, because I'd like to reveal a number of enemies over the course of the RP (and hopefully have them be as much a surprise as possible), sentient and cunning undead like you've described hadn't really crossed my mind. However, I'd totally be lying if I said it wasn't an interesting idea. Because it is, and I'll continue to toy with the concept. Demonic beings, on the other hand, have. I don't have any intentions of adding demons, but some of the undead I've scraped together could be considered 'demonic'.
Paranoia and distrust should definitely be present with or without the addition of deceptive undead, both within and without the walls. Absolutely. Religion could probably be used to mitigate and reduce such dissent, same as particular displays of authority/power, administering of propaganda, and taking actions that make citizens feel safer. Just be aware, though, that being an untrusting thief could get you locked away in a jail where the bars, grates, and inside of the door are coated in razor-sharp spikes, or maybe you'll just end up hanging from a cross as flames slowly consume you.
But, in all honesty, everything should be fine as long as you don't act like you've got a free pass to be a dick just because you're an untrusting thief in an untrusting land. Might still get yourself in deep shit, but I'm not gonna be out to get you.
Lastly, to touch on your latest post, I haven't decided how important supplies will be to the RP itself. I would like to add some depth with supplies, but it may just prove too much to manage for too little of benefit.

@Ocelot79 I haven't decided on that, yet. I've actually been struggling with which option to go with. I'm sure I could technically do both, but that might take more effeort to set up than just having the undead be controlled by a greater power or be free to act independently.
And when I do decide, I'll probably want to keep it under wraps for some reason, be it suspense or surprise, or something else. I like to keep things up my sleeve even when I probably shouldn't, but I will try my best to provide as much information as is needed for players to comfortably create their characters. I'll make attempts to address such in the next substantial update to this RP idea.
