The violence slowly shifted from that spontaneous moment and into a stillness, tension in the air as blasters were still pointed and it seemed one slight motion out of place would reignite it all again. As ever, Solace's attention was split between herself and the target directly before her, and that of her sister not too distant. Using her force abilities she was at least able to momentarily neutralize the threat by tying up the main attacker, his dog heeling to a command hissed through the man's teeth. That was curious, as the shared memory of Sena called to her of that instant before the blaster bolt. There too the command was non-verbal and when he fired the blaster he didn't give any sort of demand or warning beyond the shot over everyone's heads. Under any other circumstances she might have taken a moment longer to analyze that in particular, putting some thought into the why, but as she slowly followed the motions of his body with her vibro-blade Solace focused a little more on her sister in the cargo hold and Sable defensively poised before her.

++Sena, calm your thoughts like we practiced.++

Silence followed her telepathic attempt to soothe Sena, seemingly unable at first to break down the mental barriers that always seemed to raise during moments of stress like this. Again she tried, a little more firmly this time in order to try and reach her and for just an instant there looked to be an effect on her.

++Calm… Take a deep breath, then exhale. Sir Elbas is with you and I'm also here. The danger has passed so collect your plushie and join Airus at the door. Once I've taken care of this here we'll be on our way and you can go back to watching your shows, okay?++
++O-okay…++

When the soft reply came to her over their bond there was clear reassurance to follow, Solace immediately less tense than before and able to focus far more clearly on the issue at hand. A blaster pistol and rifle laid at their feet as she remained behind the man for a moment longer, eyes on those still in the hold and the cargo bay door shuddering as it wanted to close but could not at the moment due to her own presence at the bottom and her sister's at the top. Sliding her foot around in front of him, she kicked both weapons to her right and away from them and the dog, who had just been fired at by Lucien, but that wasn't her concern at the moment.

"Sable, disengage the boarding protocol. I think we've got this handled now."

Solace was about to step fully in front of their uninvited guests when she felt a slight disturbance, something on their ship sending a tremor through the force that felt every bit like an untrained user having a bad time. As if things weren't complicated enough… Her thoughts immediately went to closing things up here and in a hurry, knowing that someone else on Anchorage would have felt that and it wouldn't be too long before they got some very unwanted attention. At least less so than that of the Port Authority who was already watching the dock carefully and seeing how this situation resolved itself. That was someone she really didn't want to have to deal with today, and actually took precedence over the growing issues on her ship. With a quick tap of the communicator on her ear she swapped channels to a private one, glancing up to the tower overlooking the CR-90.

"VSA NE-3358 Confirming resolution in hand, Authority negotiators unnecessary… Understood, will keep appraised."

As soon as her report to the tower was received and she switched back to the crew channel the defenses stood down around them. Understandably so, Port Authority was not happy with the situation at hand, and the momentary pause between her reporting the resolution underway and their acknowledgement was mostly due to her receiving an earful for yet another incident of blaster-fire in the dock. That left her a little less endearing to the man before her, still unsure of just what drove him to open fire while outnumbered, outgunned and without even the background on who he was dealing with. She would have felt insulted if it hadn't been for the heap of other shit on her plate that needed tending to and competed with each other first place on what was worse. The answer came back as a Yes in general, only the slightest pulling at the corner of her lips showing her distinct irritation as she stared down their intruder before turning to regard the stowaway for a moment and send Airus a private command telepathically.

++Airus, I know you felt that too. I suspect it might have something to do with Natasha, as she had with her a rather bookish looking Core-Worlder when she left the cantina. Even if it's not though, it might be best for you to go and see about removing her from the Zeltron's presence and conduct a force-sweep once we're in orbit and away from prying eyes and ears.++

It came as she turned to make eye contact with her fellow Miralukan… Well, sort of eye-contact considering he didn't use cybernetics and actually relied more on his force-sight than she did. That was something that came to mind here and there in moments when she really could do without it, one of those sudden moments of clarity of sorts that left a lingering idea that she wouldn't be able to shake for hours. Could it really be considered eye-contact if someone didn't actually have eyes? Solace shook the idea from her thoughts for the moment, focusing her cybernetics on their stowaway and a smirk forming as she recognized her. It was that twi'lek from the cantina, the one she managed to get a couple decent angles of on her way towards her and out the door. Seemed the day wasn't entirely bad, considering. Sena too seemed to be okay with their stowaway, giving thanks to Sable for a moment as she gently ruffled the ewok's fur atop his head and slowly made her way to stand at Airus' side. She was calming down now, but the edges of her blue-silk veil were damp from her tears and still a slight shudder caught her here and there as she worked through the exercises to calm her mind and bring back stability.

"As for you." Solace rounded on the source of all this trouble, eyes narrowing and the hue of her iris' changing to a more threatening color as she menaced him with the vibro-blade still in her hand. "What the actual fuck was that? You know who we are right? The guns, armor and big-ass ship aren't just for show. What did you think you could accomplish with that, and I hope you have a damn good reason because I'm short on time and patience right now."

The lack of a working comlink had kept Kabal properly out-of-the-loop to any of the goings-on back at the ship. But he marched with all the puffed-up pride of a conquering hero back from war. And behind him was his prize: pushed by the two clearly-struggling Gand who were not even remotely equipped to bear weights of this kind - even on a repulsorlift. But Kabal was a harsh taskmaster, and any unnecessary stops resulted in a string of Ubese curses that quickly got the Gand moving again. For all his gripes of language and comprehension, there was a certain simplicity to shouting and swearing. Curses were something unequivocally understood no matter the language they were spoken in.

But not even the clumsiness of these small, stupid bugs would deter Kabal's victory. The baradium fission device was his: any planet he deemed unfit to exist was now at the mercy of his very sensitive trigger-finger. Of course, Kabal had to begrudgingly acknowledge that the rest of the crew may have some mild complaints about that - especially Airus. Even after being onboard the ship a year, the bleeding-heart doctor tried appealing to Kabal's better nature every other day, it seemed. Moral types didn't belong on a mercenary crew, Kabal decided: and the blind one, especially, shouldn't gripe about having to witness mercenary wetwork.

Fighting back against the zoo of aliens still occupying the green ring, Kabal was pleased to see that it wasn't hard to force people to make way when you're carting a nuclear bomb. Even the dullest-looking creatures had enough sense to keep a wide berth. At least, that's what he thought.

There was a flash of blue as a figure sprinted past, directly towards Kabal's treasure. Without even stopping to account for the obstacle, the figure leapt over the bomb, prompting the two Gand to crouch with arms thrown over their heads. The bomb wobbled precariously, threatening to topple over from the disruption of pace. Kabal was left with a choice: to either keep the bomb steady to avoid breaking it - and the planet - or to rush down the blue freak that very nearly cost him his superweapon.

Before he could decide, it turned out the Chiss wannabe had a friend, one far less nimble than they were. Running full-force into the repulsorlift, the bomb throttled violently, the cart it sat upon trying desperately to stabilize itself. But it was all for naught. With a final lurch, the repulsorlift turned on its side, toppling the baradium fission device onto the ground with a sickening crunch.

The commotion of the surrounding crowd came to a screeching halt. Nothing stopped a sales pitch better than the threat of planetary annihilation. The device started to hiss violently, leaking coolant as it was apparent something inside had broken. Kabal's stoic gaze was centered on his precious nuke, completely unaware of the melee between the not-Chiss and her assailants in the background.

For a few moments, he was silent, looking upon his glory in ruin as the bomb continued to bleed. The crowds in the green ring had started to scatter, reasonably wanting to get as far away from a volatile bomb as possible. The Gand took this as sign to cut their losses, sprinting away as fast as their stubby legs allowed, tripping in their own clothing as they hurried to escape whatever was about to happen next.

Fists clenching at his side, Kabal's head turned towards the one who ran into his cart and, without a word, sprinted full force towards him. Perhaps under calmer circumstances, Ahln would've asked himself how much power a five-foot-five, hundred-and-twenty pound alien could possess. He would have found his unasked question answered when Kabal tackled him full force, raining down blows wherever his fists landed. Taken by surprise both at the act itself, and Kabal's surprising ferocity, Ahln fell prone on his back, completely dazed as the Ubese kept hitting and hitting and hitting.

With head pounding and blood spewing from both his mouth and nose, Ahln had hardly any resistance left in him as Kabal picked up a rock lying nearby, raising it up over his head. There no way of knowing what Ahln was thinking in his last moments, and frankly, Kabal didn't care. He held position for a second more, then brought the rock down.

With every hit, there came less resistance: meaty thunks turned into nauseating squelches as flesh-and-bone eventually gave way. Kabal wasn't sure how much time had passed, but by the time his rage gave way to fatigue, what was left of Ahln's visage was a fine pulp, staining the snow red.

Slowly sanding to his feet, Kabal dropped his gore-stained rock, looking up to see the not-Chiss staring back. How she dealt with the other men chasing her was uncertain, but enough to earn Kabal's curiosity - and cautiousness. Debating whether he had been too hasty in dropping his weapon, Kabal was prepared to reach for the rock when he was interrupted by the woman speaking: in Ubese. He froze stiff, taken aback by this discovery, unsure what entirely to make of it.

The only other non-Ubese he'd met able to speak his language was Sable, but it was clear this one was no droid. Her accent was imperfect, with a slight hesitation on the filler words and the odd enunciation error; it was rusty, but it was Ubese.

Kabal silently looked the woman up-and-down, indicated by the slight incline of his helmet. Whether he was checking for weapons, valuables, or something else, his motive was completely uncertain. The woman wasn't Chiss, Kabal had come to that decision with some confidence, but she looked Human and was blue, which was close enough in his book.

"We'll ask the Captain." Kabal replied in his native tongue as he moved towards the bomb, placing a single hand on its cracked surface. Whatever reaction was taking place inside after the bomb fell over were quietly dissipating. The bomb was broken, but stabilizing.

"Help me lift it, then we'll make for port. Captain may like you, depends how pretty she thinks you are.

Vasani'Brinme Skirata || The Shadow

Truly, the twi'lek was starting to wonder if she had somehow gotten a scent that attracted idiots. First, she snuck onto this ship, and then was surrounded immediately by strange people who seemed to flow out of the woodworks. Very different people from different backgrounds, and yet all of them seemed to be drawn onto this single ship. However, that wasn't even the end of the stupid people showing up out of nowhere. The boy she had called for backup, the one from her previous job, showed up and instead of doing what anybody with more than three brain cells would do and try to negotiate, the dumbass shot into the hold. The hold of a ship in a port known for criminal ties. The hold of a ship in the port that banned weapons. The hold of a ship filled with people who were clearly armed. It took all of her mental energy not to turn and immediately call Dak a moron. Even as the chaos broke out all over the place, Brin backed up slightly as blaster bolts flew all over and the lights turned out. She debated the merit of running, but with that damn Jetiise nearby, she was certain that she wouldn't make it far before somebody turned and tried to gun her down. So for now, she stayed in place as the chaos of the hold utterly erupted and took over the hold.

However, the magnum opus of absolute idiocy showed its face mere moments later when the man in armor she didn't quite recognize, yet looked similar to the stormtrooper armor threw a thermal detonator. At what was literally just one boy and his damn dog. However soon after that, a woman appeared behind Dak with a knife to his throat, and the grenade was flung out of the hold. Another? Brin thought to herself as she saw the woman who had clearly just used the force to throw that grenade out of the ship. As things seemed to begin to clam down, the girl felt she could finally relax and move from the place she had taken behind the droid that had found her. Might as well let it get shot instead of her, right? Looking around at the crew of what she could only assume was not made entirely of idiots, likely led by a single quasi-intelligent person, Brin thought up something that might prove useful. Idiots served their purpose, as muscle or as peons in the great game of power. Just ask the Empire, the stormtroopers didn't really need much beyond a pulse to be recruited in and used to help conquer the galaxy. Perhaps these idiots might serve a purpose if she joined their little crew, worked her way up. Letting out a small sigh, Brin decided that whether or not she could learn to use these people it would be useful to possibly join them. Even if it were simply so she wouldn't get killed and could sell them out to the Empire later.

Looking up, she turned her attention towards the droid and how it referred to the woman who had just arrived, and how she gave it orders not moments after she was able to guess who might be the captain. Looking at the woman, it took Brin a moment to realize who it was. A small grin grew on her lips as she recognized the woman she had briefly flirted with before leaving the bar. Perfect. "Sorry for sneaking onto your ship, miss. If I had known you owned it I might've just asked to come home with ya at the bar. That being said, I'd like to make you an offer." She began, giving a pointed look towards Dak and the moron who threw the grenade. "How about, you hire me onto this wonderful crew you have here? Why? For one, I am actually capable of sentient thought, so I won't be doing anything like tossing a grenade in a cargo hold or firing blindly at a hold full of armed people. Secondly, I have a bit of experience getting information out of people they might not want shared. Surely we both know that information truly is power in this galaxy." She added, confidently taking a step forward as she looked over the crew all around her once more. "Whatta ya say, hire me and you can fire the dumbass over there who can't tell when one should throw a grenade?"

Sharp walks up through the ship nodding at sable as he passes, He takes his weapons to the corner of the hanger where he keeps the AT-RT. He puts his weapons down on the workbench and pulls the tarpaulin curtain shut to the makeshift workshop made out of crates, The AT-RT is kneeling in the centre of the small area surrounded by it's spare parts.

Sharp pulls up a stool to the workbench and resumes working on one of the servos from the left leg of the AT-RT, He reaches over and turns on his old recordings of Grand Army of the Republic Radio. He gently cleans the servo as he completes his maintenance, He glances up and looks at an old necklace that hangs from part of the tool rack above the work bench.

He picked up the necklace when he was given it as a gift by a woman he rescued from drowning during a recon mission on the jungle planet Varonat. She then led them through the jungle to their over-watch point, He gently holds the bird shaped pendant in his hand and rubs his thumb over it for what feels like the thousandth time.

"I miss you Sarvia..."

He lets the pendant swing as he lets it hang from the hook and returns to working on the servo, He needs a part and he's probably going to have to make a special request to his home to get it...

Natasha Dubrovnik

Natasha would smirk as she leaned back in her bed. When the door closed her smirk turned into a scowl and a frown. She shot up out of bed and headed towards the door but didn’t open it. Instead stared at it for a moment before turning to one of her cabinets with a lock on it. She opened it up and pulled out a wanted poster. It had Skylar’s likeness on it as she scowled at the poster: throwing it to the side. She would continue to rummage in this locker until she pulled out a small lockbox. She pressed her hand to the top of it. When it opened she pulled up another wanted poster out of the box. A grin on her face as she looked at it. Crumpling it in her hand she simply spoke “Oh soon… very soon.” she would put the poster back in the box as she grabbed some credits from it now and pocketed it. Standing up she closed the box and put it back into her locker far behind many other things.

Now she pulled out a large map and began to put it across her bed. It was a map of some building that had a large little area that was circled. Natasha began to take a look at the building making notes like ‘Drunk here’ and then ‘bait here’ different notes like that seemed scattered at every other room. She would continue to do that for a bit longer as she stood over it she hummed in thought: until the lights went off and the red lights turned on. She shot up unlocking her case at the foot of the bed she grabbed an explosive and then picked up her large blaster. Sighing she rolled her eyes. “Don’t tell me....” She walked towards her door and sighed once more. Realizing that she was never given a key to unlock even her own door when everything locked. “DAMN IT!” she yelled slamming a fist on the door. She walked back to her bed and grabbed her papers and maps and put it all back into the locker. She then just stood there pointing the blaster at the door. Her eyes glaring at the door waiting for anything to happen, expecting someone to burst through the door.

It took a few minutes and she finally heard the door unlock though. The lockdown protocol must have been lifted. She put the heavy blaster away; holstering it, and pulled out her E-11 Blaster rifle. She began to march towards the door. It would open and she began to move to the right, if Skylar was still there she would just see Natasha stepping out of the room with the blaster in her hand. “Move kiddo.” she’d say with a growl as she moved and walked right past Skylar. It was obvious the fun loving Natasha who had enjoyed fucking with this young woman was gone. There was something that seemed to have irked her and she was moving through the ship now looking for anyone who might not belong there. There was a whole different demeanor she didn’t even let out any type of pheromones as she walked by.

She was walking around the ship now. Every corner she checked before moving to the next. Every angle she moved her blaster over there. After all, she wasn’t aware of what was going on, she had been distracted with the young woman and then with her other plans she had been preparing. Moving closer and closer to the cargo bay she finally heard voices. She began to rush over there now blaster ready as she narrowed her eyes at the cargo door that must be about 100 meters still in front of her she slowed herself now slowly moving forward as to not just rush into something and get shot. It was something that she was very careful about. How she engaged and when she engaged. She looked around making sure she sped up her pace to get to a point where she knew that it would take her 1 second to jump into a space of cover in case there was actually someone who began to fire at her.

------------------
Somewhere in the past:
A younger natasha fell to the ground as another woman had a gun to her face and soon about 12 more people began to walk towards her from all sides. She looked absolutely in shock almost as if she was going to get shot. “Let this be a lesson for you young one. Always be aware of your surroundings, don’t take a corner that you aren’t prepared to either fire or die when you take it. You have few choices in life, but how you fight whether it is with your brain or like a dumbass who acts like they have 100 people behind them: that is completely up to you.”

Natasha would sigh and then growl. “Next time! I’ll win and you will be on the ground with a gun in your face!” The entire group laughed at her as she slowly got up and began to laugh with them.

Alyra Vosrin

For a moment Alyra's heart jumped at the possibilities. a captain meant a ship, and a ship meant a way off this rock. However it also meant going back to port where she was likely to get turned on. Yet with all the potential outcomes, she really didn't have another choice. So she reached down and helped this Ubese lift the device and simultaneously investigate what it was. She was able to reactive the repulsors by engaging them at 100 percent lift, unfortunately the power cell that ran the repulsor wasn't going to hold out for more than half an hour at this rate but it would make it effortless to push therefore faster, assuming they could get to the ship in that time. The device seemed to resemble a containment vessel of some sort but what material was inside it she couldn't tell, given where they were it was probably dangerous, likely explosive, and definitely valuable. The coolant leak seemed to get worse when it was elevated again as the hissing became louder so Alyra crimped the tube, whatever was in there had plenty of redundant cooling tubes so this one shouldn't matter but she gave her best scowl to insure that no one knew it was that superficial or they wouldn't need her to fix it.

As they began pushing the device into through the crowd toward the space port, Alyra began to think now about the challenge at hand: the Captain. Apparently everything depended on impressing this person, whoever they were, and apparently they liked people pretty. There were many things Alyra felt right now: The pain in her ankle causing her to limp slightly, the throbbing in her head, the throb of her clearly broken nose, the busted lip, the sharp pain running up her jaw, and the blood drying all down the front of her face, but not at all pretty. She considered trying to clean herself up and she straightend the pack on her pack and tried to wipe some blood off her face but then they passed by a glass store front and she caught a glimpse of herself. She looked horrible, busted lip, swollen eyes and face, blood all down her shirt. She cthoguht about taking a moment to set her nose but given current company she figured that if she lived long enough she would wait till she was in private to deal with more blood. So she resigned herself to meeting the captain looking like she lost a fight with a Wookie, and decided gathering information would be better.

"So tell me, Who is your captain? Is it of a ship, do you have a crew? what is the the name of the ship and crew? and what kind of ship is it?" She ventured to ask in Ubese to her companion. Hoping for some indication of what to expect as the began to near the port, it looked like the repulsors would hold out.

"You ask too many questions. CR90 in the hanger. Come now, or test your luck with the guards." He responded in Ubese, and kept moving. Turning a corner they were now in sight of the entrance to the Spaceport.

Not a very chatty person but then again it could be her shitty understanding of the Ubese language. Either way she would just have to count on her charm and skill set to secure her way because her looks were not going to do it. Running her hands over her pack on her back as the approached the doors of the hanger, she could feel the grip of her pistol digging into her back and she felt the tips of her electro-batons sticking out of the bottom of the pack. She was as ready as she was ever going to be. Trying to to use her tongue to clean some of the blood off of her teeth, and checking to make sure they were all still there, she spit it into the sand. She began to push into the device as they entered the Spaceport and steeled herself. Whatever was next she would deal with it too. Whatever it took to get off this planet.

"Alright, lead the way. Which hanger?" She asked, this time in basic, as they crossed the threshold and she ventured a glance back to her companion.

Location: Noreaster Cargo Bay
Interactions: Solace
Mentions: Lucien || Sena || Brin

So much was going on. He had to remind himself that he was the one who caused all of this. His eyes caught a young woman a ways away who seemed thoroughly shaken, forcing a frown upon Dak's face. He felt bad, at least for that, if nothing else. Dak stood seemingly still as everything happened around him, even when Lucien fired a bolt off at Tarrok who yelped just before collapsing to the ground. The young man grit his teeth and corner eyed the man who shot his dog. As much as he wanted to be mad at him, he didn't blame him for what he did, and understood it had to be done. As the captain turned on him and came into full-view, Dak's eyebrow raised slightly as he gave her a single look-over. Dak gave Tarrok a glance, and then Brin one too before he turned his attention back to the woman, sighing heavily as he slowly raised his arm up to show his commlink, very slowly reaching his other hand over, he began typing away. During this time, Brin had managed to speak up. She was talking directly to the captain. Apparently it wasn't the first time they'd met. Figures. Brin was good at picking out the pretty ones from the crowd. It wasn't until Brin gave Dak a pointed look that he came to a full stop in his typing, rereading over what he'd already managed to type out, then looking back up at her to hear what else she had to say. Nothing about him whatsoever. She wasn't going to vouch for him, at all. If he'd been gritting his teeth any harder they might've busted. He understood. He pulled a dumbass move, and they only did one job together. It's not like they were truly friends. His attachment to her was clearly one-sided. Dak wiped the previous message he wrote out and began typing a new one. Once he was finished with the message, he activated speech-to-text and brought his eyes to Solace's, watching her as his commlink spoke for him.

With that, the young man knelt down on one knee and bowed his head, waiting for his sentence. He had nothing to lose, essentially.

Airus Vel Aath

The doctor didn't answer Brin's accusation, plenty of people used the force who weren't Jedi, the girl herself was proof enough of that not to mention he didn't carry a saber, unlike her."I'm just a friend of the captain's from childhood. I come from a place where the force is common. When the galaxy changed, I decided it was better to be close to people I cared about than away from them, so I'm here." He spoke, waving off the idea of being a Jedi, as it was something too good for a person like him to be, in turth that was how he felt. Airus just took a moment breath, when the blaster fire was exchanged he'd nearly charged headlong forward until he reminded himself the crew could take care of themselves, they didn't need the doctor in a fight it wasn't his place. So he kept his distance, he could sense Solace's approach while he might have wanted to run to Sena and care for her he knew that doing so would be leaving a risk to the ship unattended thus the doctor kept Brin square in his sight.

Of course, there was yet another presence this one panicked, nervous, and scared one that alarmed even Airus it had gotten so close without detection. Very few force sensitives with training to do something like that were alive and few would be that startled by something like that, an odd combination of effects to be sure. Solace gave him an order, one he would carry out with time he did have to maintain normal appearances. However, he decided to give Solace a warning he could sense much from the Twi'lek none of it was good, his talent as an empath made him good at reading aura's and emotions though it was hard not to get caught up in other feelings when they were strong enough.

++Solace, she's trouble I know we don't exactly run with very honest and upstanding people but she seems about as moral as Kabal. Just... Be careful, I don't want anyone to get hurt over trusting someone again I might not say it often but being here does mean a lot to me. I'll take Sena up the lift and get her a treat while you do with things down here, just... Don't make me need to prepare for surgery, please?++ The fellow Miraluka nodded and gave Solace a small smile as he tapped his staff once more again the ground, moving towards Sena he placed a hand on her back walking with her into the turbolift.

"Come with me Sena, we will go up to the conference room and I will make you some hot chocolate and you can take your new friend to meet all the other plushies afterward. If you want we can even see if our good chef has any cookies left you could have since you were so brave back there." He gave Sena a very gentle pat on the head before stepping into the turbolift, deciding it was best to focus on his tasks. Get Sena away from danger and then find the disturbance in the force, contain that until he and Solace had a moment to discuss this without prying ears or eyes.

"Jarak"

It was quite the show Jarak was watching unfold in front of him, at the top of cargo ramp stood who he assumed was Solace who had just disarmed and potentially given a heart attack too, the young boy who had seemed to think it was a good idea to start trouble with a crew of mercenaries, not the wisest choice one could make, but then again Jarak was someone who chose to make a living by being shot at for an Empire that could replace him just as easily as they gave him medals so who was he to judge.

Of all the thoughts to be whirling around in Jarak's head, there was one that stood out above the rest, not whether he'd make it home, not him placing bets with himself on how long it'd be till he was found out. No the thought that kept making its way to the front was him wondering if this is what his Majors final words meant? was this where Jarak would get what's coming to him? Odd for the words of a dead man to be in his head at this moment but this certainly was an odd time. Jarak paused for a moment, next to the boy lay the collapsed body an Anooba, odd he hadn't noticed it sooner but his mind was elsewhere after all. Bringing his hand up to his scars he gently stroked down his cheek. Not quite the same creature but given his track record with wildlife, he made a mental note to keep an eye on the dog.

At the top of the ramp, he was provided with his first real look at the crew he would have to make pleasantries with for the next few months... or weeks given that he rated his chance of making it home in one piece at less than 50/50. Around the hangar were various individuals that Jarak recognised form the reports and some that he didn't. There was a young woman who the Captain assumed was the other of the twins, being taken out of the bay by a man in robes, very familiar robes at that. There was an old Commando Droid, someone in what looked like old Clone Trooper armour and another in Storm Trooper armour.

So far there were no surprises that he could see, it seemed to be a fairly normal mercenary crew, a group of pirates and degenerates that would just as quickly kill each other as work together. What was a surprise, however, was the Twi'Lek that he hadn't noticed yet and what he could gather from the ensuing conversation was that she seemed to have been the cause of all the trouble in the first place and now she was asking for a job. She certainly had balls he'd give her that, stowing away on a ship and then your friend comes and starts a shoot out and then asking the very visibly displeased Captain of said ship for a job, this had the potential to be an even worse decision than the one to open fire in the first place.

He stood there in slight bewilderment at what he was listening to and he made sure to keep a few steps between himself, the Twi'Lek and the boy, just in case. He took his bag from his shoulder and placed it on the floor next to him before speaking to Solace. "I can see you're dealing with some issues right now, should I just wait down here while you sort them and we can talk after?"

"Sable"

"Understood." There wasn't much else needed in response to his order and a few moments later the red lighting faded, being replaced with the normal bright lighting of the cargo hold, the sound of the bulkheads and hatches opening brought with them a sigh of relief for the droid.

Sable stood back up and gave a bow of his head to Sena as she began to walk off with Airus. Maybe Sable would get a sticker later to say thank you properly he thought to himself... smack Sable gave his head a wack, where the hell did that thought come from, "I'll need to get that looked at, I'm a highly efficient and lethal killing machine, not Mopdeka. Why would I want a sticker. Once he was sure that Sena was safe and the danger caused by the stupid meat bag and his hound was definitely over he turned to watch Sena immediately put herself in danger again as she ruffled the Ewok's head putting herself at risk of catching Revan only knows what.

It was then that what was happening at the bay entrance caught his eye again. The idiot, the Twi'Lek and a newcomer were all stood there with Solace and from the sound of it, the Tail Head was an accomplice of the genius and his dog. And they had just asked to be hired on. A phenomenon he couldn't help but comment on"They're either the bravest or the most stupid individuals I've ever seen. Personally, I was hoping for another droid, one I could actually talk to, the others around here are... I'll say processorly challenged to be nice. Sable shook his head a few times before making his way to the door along with Airus and Sena.

Kabal wouldn't pretend to understand Solace's rather insatiable appetite when it came to 'sampling' members of other species, be they male or female. It was a certain kind-of degeneracy that did a good job triggering his gag reflex. To procreate was one thing, sure, but with something that looked like that? Kabal supposed there was no accounting for taste when it came to the preferences of Humans and their sub-types. All this, of course, ignoring his own status as a Near-Human. And woe be to anyone foolish enough to remind him of that fact; lest they receive a swift punch to the throat.

His earlier words to the not-Chiss about appearances was delivered more as a warning than anything else. She claimed to know how to fix the Baradium Fission Device, and that was all Kabal cared about. He could easily repair it himself, of course: technical expertise was one of the many talents of the Ubese species. But he had been cautious up to this point: it was her shenanigans that led them here. She broke it, she could fix it; and if she couldn't fix it, then she would learn firsthand whether her species could breathe in space or not. A hundred credits says they can't.

But while the betting pool was open, Kabal was keen to wager another hundred credits that Solace kicks the not-Chiss to the curb. Kabal prided himself on being an equal-opportunity ethnocentric: most every other species but his own was rather fleshy and ugly-looking, 'pretty' was a relative term. But a bloody face, fat lip, and crooked nose didn't exactly scream 'pretty' in any sense of the word.

While the two wordlessly pushed the lift past the market into the spaceport, Kabal caught the not-Chiss move her gaze towards a window, no doubt eyeing her own reflection. "Don't worry: there's nothing you can do to fix your face anyways." He said in his native language in what was...maybe meant as reassurance? An odd manner of reassurance, if that's what it was, one that would certainly have earned Kabal a slap in the face from a haughtier woman, but haughty women don't expect to be hit back. As noted earlier, equal-opportunity.

Then the not-Chiss decided that this was the time for more chit-chat, beginning to ask pointless questions like 'Who captain?', 'What kind ship?, Do have crew?, yadda yadda yadda. Kabal didn't ask dumb questions like that when he joined the Gray Mariners, and he was being shot at!

"You ask too many questions. CR90 in the hanger. Come now, or test your luck with the guards." He replied sternly, clearly exasperated by the day's events. Events that were nowhere close to concluding, as he would shortly discover.

Which hanger? Was the last thing Kabal picked up from the not-Chiss, to which he angrily replied, "This one!" Pointing off haphazardly towards one of the hangars, which promptly exploded into a cacophony of intense blaster-fire that crescendoed with a not-so-distant explosion: thermal detonator, N-20 Baradium-core by the sound of it, military-issue. A gunfight - a gunfight, while Kabal was out shopping and playing with aliens.

Swearing loudly, Kabal began pushing the cart with all his might towards the direction of the hanger, assuming that the not-Chiss would follow behind. Practically sprinting into the hanger, Kabal came across what looked almost like a crime-scene in the making. The dust still-settling from the recent explosion in the grenade pit, blaster scores marking parts of the hull and loading ramp, Solace pressed tightly against some unseen individual while holding a vibro-blade. Whatever else was happening inside, Kabal had next-to-no-idea.

Words were being exchanged, some voices familiar, others totally foreign. Great...more strays. Well, if today was Bring A Creature to Work Day, Kabal could at least contribute to the offerings.

"Bring bomb." He announced in Basic, unsure if he had spoken loud enough for anyone to hear him. As if on cue, the repulsors that had been engaged to one-hundred percent lift had finally been overtaxed by Kabal's marathon to the hanger, promptly giving out and dumping the bomb once more unceremoniously onto the ground.

Skylar practically held her breath as she waited for something, anything, to happen, her hands gripping her blaster rifle tightly as she tried to listen around her. She could hear some blaster fire, somewhat muted through the bulkheads of the ship, coming from what she thinks is towards the back of the ship. From what she knew of the design of the ship, it was probably coming around the area of the cargo bay. As much as she'd like to head off in that direction to hopefully exit the ship and get as far away as possible from a certain Zeltron, she was stuck until the lockdown was let up. So, she waited, anxiously pouring out her emotions until she could make her escape.

It seemed like she didn't have to wait for too long though as she heard the blaster fire die down moments later. She started to calm down as the ship's lockdown disengaged, wincing slightly from the sudden brightness as the main lights came back online before her eyesight adjusted. She was about to get up from her crouched position until she heard an all too familiar voice come from behind her. With a rush of emotions, she quickly turned to aim her rifle at the Zeltron and probably would have fired at her if she hadn't noticed that the woman seemed completely disinterested. Skylar could only stare at the woman in confusion as Natasha walked past her, a completely different air around the woman. This only added to the number of reasons Skylar needed to get away from the Zeltron, she was dangerous, and even the still somewhat naive core-worlder could tell that just from looking at how Natasha was now.

Skylar watched as Natasha headed off towards where the blaster shots had originated from, most likely to investigate what incident had occurred. As much as she wanted to avoid encounters with Natasha as much as possible, it didn't seem like she had much of a choice in which direction to go if she wanted off the ship. After deliberating for a few moments, partially to have some distance between herself and the Zeltron, she got up, gathered her things, and cautiously began to head towards the cargo bay of the ship with her blaster rifle still in hand.

Someone had once told her, that the world was gonna roll her. The circumstances back then had been vaguely similar, though she had been a mere bystander at that point. Chased by enforcers from one of the local gangs, some petty thug had forgotten one of the most pivotal rules of city worlds like Nar Shaddaa. Always, always, always, watch where you're going. Especially when it came to the more run-down areas. The joke was made that he fell so long that he had to take a breath partway down, but really it was more likely the poor fool passed out at a certain point and didn't even feel his death. That this memory was coming to mind now, with yet another before her making the attempt to justify his own lapse in judgement.

If it had been any other captain on this world, any other ship and crew… The discussion wouldn't have even been had. There would be a pair of bodies left for maintenance to clean up and a few good laughs at the cantina later. In fairness it likely wouldn't have even mattered to specify Anchorage. Pulling such a stunt anywhere else would have probably resulted in being shot in response, and sure enough not even bothering to hear someone out, at knife-point or not. His 'accomplice' spoke up midway through, pitching her services and thoroughly tossing him aside for her own benefit. The face was recognized, image pulled up as reference from the cantina and once more she praised Ashla for the forethought in getting cybernetics for just such a situation. It wasn't that she had a poor memory, just that being able to recall recorde images and video without a datapad was exceptionally beneficial.

"I'll deal with you after things are wrapped up here." Short and sweet, she nodded over towards Sable as an indication of how things would go. "Sable, escort her to the conference room and see if Five-Toes has anything freshly prepped for guests."

A part of her thought to clarify that Five-Toes was their cook, and that with all the circumstances her comment might have other connotations, but she wasn't entirely in the mood to be all that forthright with current company. Two stowaways, an untrained force-user and a boy with his dog shooting at her crew. How many times had they been on this planet before in the last six years? How many times had they been able to lift off without some kind of incident? Not counting the whole misunderstanding with the Mandalorian, it seemed to be in the single digits. Perhaps a change of career was calling to her… The signs seemed all there afterall. Words on a screen prompted her full attention back on the guy who was attempting to justify himself. For a brief moment her expression dipped, eyes narrowing at the message as she read it and wondering just who the hell this guy was and where he came from. Did people still talk like that in some… Yes, yes they did. She had nearly forgotten that one planet in the upper quadrant of the outer rim, some backwater that seemed stuck in the past.

"Look kid, first off I'm not your lady. Second, you're on Anchorage. The one with all the mercenaries and pirates. If you're going to be living in the Outer Rim and working with crews like mine you need to understand that there's no such thing as stupid and old out here. Stupid gets you killed, and trusting the wrong people… Well you should know by now where that gets you."

Whether he was sincere or not in his attempt to appease her didn't quite matter to her when it came down to it. The crew didn't entirely get along with each other perfectly, but she hadn't ever let someone on before after they shot at them, and it wasn't exactly good policy to do so to begin with. Forgive and forget worked fine enough in the core worlds, but as she had said… Stupid and old do not go together out here. A choice was left to be made though, between just killing him and his dog and moving on, taking him prisoner for a bit until they stopped at the next port, or turning him over to Port Authority. The latter was the most ideal option, as it meant she didn't have to deal with him at all, nor did the crew have to put up with someone who had shot at them.

At least, that was what she was going to go with until Kabal and yet another new face showed up. One that looked like she had been on the losing end of a brawl with a gamorrean as well. That wasn't too bad though, as she took in the new person for just long enough to see the bloodied knuckles and that most of the injuries were superficial. She had given just as hard as she got, which showed the blue woman had some spirit.

"Bring bomb."

Oh. That's right, she had given Kabal a sack full of credits to go hunting after that bomb, and somehow he had actually come back with a girl and a bomb. An actual Baradium Fission Device. It as immediately recognizable as such, the gravsled straining with the weight of the almost speeder-sized planet-cracker listing lazily to the side. A planet cracker. Illegal in literally every system in the galaxy and now apparently the company was in possession of one. At least it would keep Kabal happy for a bit and busy, though she loathed the conversations that would come of him desiring to use it. Then it seemed that the galaxy wasn't quite done with her as of yet, the sharp crack of the gravsled's thrusters going out and followed by a heavy thud as the bomb was dropped onto the ground. Silence followed as she waited for the flash and fire, but nothing happened. All it did was throw out a series of angry looking warnings across the control panel and make a few noises as if protesting its treatment.

Solace was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when once more the hangar doors opened, expecting some of the few remaining crew to rejoin them and instead facing the very last thing she wanted to see.

"Get on the ship." The command was given to both Kabal and the woman, mere moments left available to them before things went very out of hand. Then again to Jarak who had followed her here and the boy just behind her. "Get on the fucking ship and don't you dare leave the bomb behind!"

The longer between that initial burst of panic and the calm of everything in hand the more she had to gently steady herself and once more return to normalcy. At least the normalcy that she knew. Colors swirled in her vision around all in the cargo hold, clinging to the makeshift family of sorts that her sister had introduced her to and been close at hand for the last few years. Shades of blue around the nicer ones, tinges of red here and there reflecting things that had to be done, and of course the tempestuous purple of Verra. The colors dripped off some such as Sir Elbas and Sharp, somehow the force hesitant to cling too closely to them as opposed to others. Verra and Airus had both explained why at some point, and she somewhat remembered lessons from before that another self understood a little more clearly.

That other self lingered close by in her mind, seeming to disapprove of everything. She didn't feel the same way that she did, the other Sena. Where she felt the fear of a moment and couldn't do anything except freeze and panic, that one was calm and seemed to always be watching and with some way out. It was hard to listen though, or at least to fully act out her advice when it was given. Like now she heard the soft whispers that the fluffy creature in her arms was not a plushy at all, and while it wasn't a feral beast either it was still dangerous. Sena had already named him though, and he seemed to like her as well. Otherwise he wouldn't have come to her aid surely? She had been about to simply walk away and allow him to roam the cargo hold, but at Airus' suggestion of meeting the other plushies she couldn't just leave him behind. Just as before, there was no warning and no avoiding it. Sena had simply picked up the ewok and carried him off as if it was completely normal.

Normal. Yes, everything was returning back to normal and soon she would have sweets to help ease her mind from all that had just happened. Of course she would be responsible and only have a little, as dinner was soon and Five-Toes didn't like it when anyone skipped a meal. After all the effort he went through to cook for them everyday she didn't blame him either, though she felt that maybe he was a little too aggressive in how he handled such things. Everyone tended to recall when Kabal went nearly a month without eating and had to get an IV drip before finally giving in. Then again, he wasn't very nice, at least at first. It took a bit for him to get used to the crew, but she thought he actually liked everyone and swore he smiled behind that mask when she was able to speak in Ubese back to him. Nevermind that he still said mean things here and there, probably forgetting that she could understand him now.

Her thoughts were again a swirl of chaos, a soft hum as she kept Bearnabus in her arms in the turbolift up to the main deck. Airus at her side remained ever close, keeping an eye on her as she felt that her sister had asked him to do. She was always doing that, though once he had joined up with them he tended to do so on his own anyways. Regardless it was nice to have friends and family close by and- Something startled the other self resting at the back of her mind, a sudden sharp sensation cutting through all of the distractions of life as she demanded attention with an urgency that made her start in the lift. It was just a slight jolt along her body as she went rigid and her aura was disturbed for that brief moment.

We're in danger!

It wasn't like her to be quite so direct or urgent, causing her to take a moment to furrow her brow and attempt to determine why. There was no one close by except Five-Toes in the kitchen, and he seemed quite occupied with making tonight's meal. Off a little further down the hall was the other girl, the one who sister and Airus seemed concerned about. She wasn't an issue it seemed, the bright flash of presence in the force calming and even dissipating back to the point where she had to try just a little bit to part the noise and see her true aura underneath. Blue. Just like brother Airus and a few of the others. So it wasn't her…

Approaching, starboard side. Three.

A direction… Sena turned to the side as soon as both her and Airus stepped from the lift, concentrating in the direction given. Again there was nothing so she looked beyond the ship. Beyond the hangar. People of varied species mingled about in small crowds beyond the port itself, walking beneath the dome of the city that kept breathable and livable temperatures within. It was harder to determine exactly what the other meant, as many of the people of Anchorage had purple or red auras, showing their malicious intent and that they were not afraid of hurting others to get what they wanted. It took a bit more of a firm hand, her other self taking nominal control once more to direct her gaze at four in particular.

They were different. They were not like the other citizens and visitors of this city. While the others were not afraid and some even preferred violence, these ones… Once her focus was on them she could tell that they were dangerous. With a purposeful stride they exited the same cantina that her sister and the others had just been in, only one destination possible from the direction they walked. Again fear gripped her, but this time it was for everyone around her. These three had felt the same disturbance in the force that her sister had felt, but she knew that neither her or Airus would be able to detect this threat until it was too late. Their intent was clear to her, and she had to make them aware. Her finger pointed directly at the wall in the direction her other self had showed her.

"Brother Airus!" Only a few times was she insistent enough to gain some clarity, some bit of focus. Her own intentions were made clear as she endeavored to reveal what she had been shown. "B-bad people!"

------
Earlier...

"Aurek, I'm bored."

Three sat at the table within the cantina, each of them a particular brand of exactly what one might expect in Anchorage. The one who spoke did so through a helm, his voice slightly more mechanical and gruff as he leaned in and the leer of his red lenses focused on the current object of his ire. A few others at nearby tables subconsciously made a move to get a little distance from the hulking man, knowing full well what that kind of person did when they were bored, and he made little effort to conceal his intentions. That was because he was Mando'a. More than that, the skull and horns adorned his shoulders and the colors of his armor were black and red. There were few among the mercenary circles that inspired fear and respect at the same time from their fellows, and where he came from was one of those few.

Deathwatch. Only one of their kind was bold enough to carry weapons into Anchorage, much less into a cantina, and only one of their kind had the kind of presence to get away with it as well. Scores of kill marks ran up and down the sheath at his hip, a vibrosword scraping the floor even as he sat and with a well-worn grip that showed he had a preference for getting close enough to use it. That wasn't what worried people though. That particular honor went to the Z-6 rotary cannon slung across his back and the eerily human skulls that clinked as an armored finger pointed accusingly at the one directly across the table from him.

"I said I'm bored!" It came with the crack of his fist onto the table which scattered cards, credits and knocked over the drinks.

"Ceph, don't be such a bitch." This time a woman's voice, calm and smooth as she leaned in close and caught her own glass before it spilled even a drop. She was deliberate with each movement, not a single effort wasted as the glint of amethyst shone from her side of the table, her eyes focused on the Mandalorian. This one was another more particular danger, enough that her comment silenced him for the moment and he visibly withdrew away from her. Yet there was the obvious inclination of his helm towards her, showing that though as impossible as it was, while he was afraid of the woman quite literally half his size… He was drawn to her. In fact those who had before had their attention on him, were now looking at her as if unable to look away from her eyes. The pale skin of her face slowly came into view as she leaned a little closer over the table, two strange appendages at her cheeks reaching out and very nearly brushing along the beskar of Ceph's helm before another voice cut across the room and chided her.

"Release your hold on them and back away from Ceph. As much as we all know he desires you and knows the risks, I have already warned you both about partaking in such things."

He was clearly the leader of the small group, yellow eyes like freshly burning coals glaring out from beneath a wide-brim hat that concealed his face. It did little to hide what he was though. Horns poked through specifically cut holes in the hat, each a reflection of the other in size and shape as they curled just slightly towards his back, carvings along them going from base to tip in patterns that seemed to twist and writhe, changing shape even as one looked at them. His crimson red skin gleamed in the dim light, one hand bringing up a cigar to his lips beneath the brim of his hat and taking a long draw as his gaze settled on both the woman and Mandalorian in turn.

"If that is what you desire" She countered, and suddenly the other patrons had full control of their senses once more, unsettled by the disconnect between when they had been lost in her eyes and now as they stared at the strange creature sharing a table with a Mandalorian and a Devaronian. It was a thing with the face and shape of a woman, slight and with the correct proportions but something was definitively off about her. Most particularly were the two tendrils coming from her cheeks, seeming to seek out sources of heat and life as her purple eyes lingered on the Devaronian nearby. Whatever she was, there was an instinctive fear of her and how easily she had ensnared those who looked into her eyes.

"I just want to kill something, Aurek." The Mandalorian spoke this time, tearing his attention reluctantly from his female companion and to their leader. "I bet I could take out at least thirty before someone gets a hit in. Just let me murder." A hand went back to the assault cannon on his back and the threat was made very obvious to the closest, a couple people going to their holdout blasters in preparation and some of the enforcers nearby starting to move as they saw the threat. Aurek held up a hand though and immediately it was clear that he had been denied the chance. "You have also been warned." Yellow eyes narrowed in the Mandalorian's direction and just as quickly his hand withdrew from his weapon and back onto the table, though not without some barely audible grumbling.

"You remind me of my son, and not in the good ways. A foolish child too concerned with idle daydreams and playing at pirate."

A rather damning comment which killed the mood even more, as tended to happen when Aurek chose to speak to his comrades. Things were slowly settling back to as they were before the small outburst, most of the patrons around them focusing back on their own issues and more interesting events surrounding them. Someone nearby chose to pick a fight with one of the enforcer droids, a rather impressive KX-Series Security Droid that did not take too well to the prodding from the drunk man. The trio paid no mind to the sickening crunch of bone and scream as the man was flung literally across the cantina, instead returning to their game of pazaak with all the enthusiasm of a misfit group of killers playing with their boss. Hand after hand was played, each of them seeming disinterested in the stakes or the drinks even as they were refreshed and it was all for a good reason.

"Besh, found anything yet?"

The woman glanced up from her hand of cards, lips pursing into a frown as she focused her senses on those around them. A soft ripple in the force surrounded her as she reached out with her mind in search of others like herself. Force-users. As unlikely as it was for such people to be lingering in a place like this due to the large number of bounty hunters and general criminals, the more experienced of their kind would be more privy to do so exactly for that reason. Her gaze subtly lingered along a few particular individuals, a woman with short red hair sitting at a table with a particularly disturbed Rodian, another younger one that was being aggressively flirted at by a Zeltron at the bar, and a Togruta in the back who seemed adverse to dressing like a normal person. The latter woman didn't even try to hide herself, her presence in the force naturally indistinguishable from the natural world around them, but as soon as Besh glanced in her direction she returned with a narrowing of her eyes and tensing as if knowing a fight was soon.

"Not her." Aurek following her gaze recognized the Togruta from a few wanted posters on the bounty-board, and the failed attempts to collect her saber. Not many tended to return after pursuing that particular bounty, which left her as one of the few of her kind bold enough to sit out in the open and actually get away with it. "She's a low priority and we're not nearly armed enough to take her on directly like this." The others were discounted as well, both seeming to be subtle shifts in the current and not the distinct ripples in the force that a recognized force user would be. No one else nearby were of interest either, prompting her to expand her search even as varied events unfolded around her and her companions. The Zeltron and Kuati woman departed the cantina, soon after followed by an Ubese unaware that they were all connected to one person in particular. It was only when she arose from the table in surprising urgency that all three turned their attention to the woman.

She seemed upset over something, and it wouldn't be too out of place considering their surroundings or the perplexed man before her. Yet Besh looked deeper and felt those ripples she was looking for in the currents of the force. Another not too far away was communicating telepathically, sending their thoughts and feelings along a force-bond and before she could pinpoint exactly where she had lost track of that woman at the other table. Try as she might she couldn't find where the redhead had disappeared to, it was as if she had never even been there at all for all the effort she made.

"Besh?"

"That woman, the one with short red hair. She disappeared."

Aurek thought for a moment, yellow eyes narrowing in the direction of the cantina door and the other table. It was not the first time quarry had eluded him or their team. He prized himself on playing the long game though, and rather than it being a setback he merely nodded and set about the plan of action even as Besh returned to searching for more prey. The ability to simply disappear into a crowd was not exactly common, even to force-users. A few before had done such a thing, and as such he knew all too well that patience was the key to drawing them back out. To go out blindly, make a scene and shoot up their surroundings may well have been the Imperial way, but it was not his. Aurek steepled his fingers together before him, eyes closed in thought as he took another draw of the cigar clenched between his teeth. Jedi relied on patience and the lack of it from those like him. It was why he and his team had such a good track record, for they were never expected to simply take their time and be sure of the kill. Least of all Ceph, and he often complained bitterly of it. Even now he knew there was a hunt and was getting more and more restless.

Mandalorians tended to be that way, at least those like Ceph. Deathwatch got the job done, but they were fanatics to the core and it was hard to control them. They needed a tight leash and something to focus on. To that end he preferred if Besh acquired something for them and soon. It was just as that thought slipped his mind that he felt something distinct not too far away, and so did their seer.

"Oh. Oh."

Besh's attention was drawn towards the port, a hunger in her eyes as she licked at her lips and clenched both hands at the table. She had found prey, and by the looks of things something quite desirable for the vampire as it took everything in her not to get up and go for it right there. "Such a bright and youthful soul, untainted and a practical blank canvas. I can taste the brilliance of her aura from here, and the fear in her. Aurek, I want to feed on this one." Besh was practically slavering for the kill, enough that even Ceph seemed afraid and that was all that he needed. A glance to each of them and they stood as a group with hands on their weapons. No one dared to get in their way, as while before they were merely a hazard of life on the outskirts of the law, now they were determined and looking to kill. Their Mandalorian in particular clenched his fists together repeatedly on their way to the door, grasping the handle of his vibrosword and all too eager to unsheathe it.

Outside the crowd dispersed just before them, and Aurek didn't slow his stride one bit. Both of his companions followed behind, most keeping a more than respectful distance between themselves and the group. In the distance there was the sound of blaster fire, at first several bursts accompanied by the crump of a grenade, then slowing as it seemed a conflict was in its final moments. Only a few men in the uniform of the Port Authority blocked their path to the blast doors leading to the hangar beyond. One of them stepped forward, finding a clean hole punched through his sternum and the smoking barrel of a blaster pistol pointed at him. Ceph didn't hesitate as the shot echoed around them, stepping in and in a single motion drawing his vibroblade from the sheath at his hip and resheathing it in the skull of the second guard. Seconds passed between point of contact and the last body hitting the floor, their seeress releasing the man's face to allow him to drop.

Another blaster shot and the panel exploded in a shower of sparks and fried components, the door slowly opening to reveal what lay beyond. Four people were between them and the ship, and within the ship was their quarry. Aurek was first into the hangar, single blaster pistol held aloft as a stern warning while he strode purposefully towards the duo standing next to what was clearly a baradium fission device. Next to him their Mandalorian unslung the Z-6 rotary cannon and aimed it at the CR-90 before them just as one of the group before them shouted out a warning. That was enough to give him a moment of hesitation, recognizing her from the cantina as the one that gave them the slip before. All good things come with patience it seemed, and he gave the signal to attack.

Alyra Vosrin

"This one!" Her companion said in annoyed response, as he pointed a finger towards a hanger. Just as she began to push there was a flash and explosion inside the hanger, followed by blaster fire. Alyra was taken aback, running headlong into a gun fight was not her first choice. However, it seemed that was exactly what her Ubese chose to do, as they began sprinting forward pushing the cart with all their might. She paused briefly to grip the blaster hilt under her back pack but then quickly placed two hands on the device and joined him in his marathon into danger.

They made their way into the hanger and into the scene that looked like the end of a fight. A few figures on the dock and a few in the hold of the ship. Everyone seemed to be standing down at this point much to Alyra's Relief. The ship was indeed a CR-90, and it looked magnificent. She could see where some of the batteries were modified and it had scorch marks from several battles. This was a well running well looked after ship and she began to feel as if things were getting better. As she looked down she could see a rather lovely looking woman in a tight body suit holding a blade up to a young man, she was unsure if this was good or bad.

Her companion released the repulsor and began to walk into the deflating confrontation as they said "Bring bomb." in basic. She began to comply, all while trying to plan out what to say and how to say it. Then the repulsors sputters and glowed red, the sign that they were out of power. She looked down and knew there were only seconds left, she thrust the device as hard as she could towards the ship, it wasn't far at this point and it made it just to the based of the ramp before it slowed to a stop and the over taxed repulsors finally gave gave out and it fell to the ground with a loud thud. Alyra winced as it fell. There were a few sparks and it let out a few audible codes and then laid there quietly.

Alyra guessed this was it her introduction, she looked up and all eyes were on her. She held up her hand and spoke "Hello there, I-" She was cut short and the hanger doors hissed open again and she turned to see three individuals walking through the hanger, one carrying a massive gun and the other a blade. The survival instinct kicked in again as she scanned for exits. Somehow Alyra knew this was it, a trap. But then something she didn't anticipate, the rather attractive young woman in a body suit began shouting orders.

"Get on the ship."
Alyra had no issues with this plan as she reached behind her and pulled out her blaster and aimed it at the three closing in. Then she looked to her companion who had now turned and was crouching as if ready to tear the intruders limb from limb.
"Get on the fucking ship and don't you dare leave the bomb behind!" she said to the two men she was with.
Her course of action crystallized as she was not inclined to get into a firefight right now.
"Here!"She shouted in Ubese and tossed her blaster to here Ubese friend.
"You two help me with this thing!" she alled to basic to the two men the captain had addressed last. Alyra vaulted to the other side of the Device for cover and began to attempt to push it up the ramp. Even as she started to push the blaster fire began to fly. Her mind was beginning to swim as she pushed with all her might and the sounds of battle seemed far off as the haze settled onto her mind. One thing remained clear to her though even as her vision got blurry: "Safety is just up this ramp, I just have to push this up there and not get shot and I am safe." She gritted her teeth and kept pushing.

Kadroo "Bearnubus" Long-Lake

The Noreaster | Turbolift

The winding down had certainly been welcome, with no more fire spears flying about, and the child-spirit returning to a more stable state, fear no longer rolling off her in waves. Now the situation he was in at this exact moment was not one he was pleased with. Clearly the child spirit had no concept of either dignity, or reverance for the followers of the great tree spirits, and certainly one of his stature. He had always been taught that to be a shaman of the Long-lake tribe was the one closest to the spirits, but his whole experience so far was making him wonder if that really was the case. None more then being picked up by the child-spirit, again just like the leaf dolls that were made for the wokling of the Long-Lake tribe, and being carried by it through the halls, following a spirit who walked like the elders of the Long Lake tribe. It occurred to Kadroo that perhaps he should try and name some of the spirits, particularly the child spirit, so that he may have a way of making the situation less... well what it was. That and, afterall, he was empowered as a shaman to perform such acts. Spirit Acolytes who had been named in the past by other shamans had often seemed to enjoy the new titles, so he figured he might have a go of it. As he was carried through the hall he closed his eyes and hummed a bit, which might have sounded a bit like the purring of a cat, a practice he commonly took up when he thought. It most certainly was something that called for thought too, one did not lightly name a spirit, they carried on forever, and giving them a childish name would seek only to shame them. It was in the middle of this thinking that Kadroo felt the child-spirit go rigid. A sort of tingling feeling shot through him and his nose twitched as he tried to shake off the feeling. For a moment, it was almost as if something else was carrying him other then the child spirit. Then the child spirit set off chattering in the language that they seemed to so love, pointing with one arm in the hard-stone box. It was quite the feat, Kadroo was definitely not light, and yet the girl had seemingly no problems just holding him with one arm. Nevermind the fact that he was still indignant about the whole situation.

Natasha Dubrovnik

Natasha stared down the hall. Her heart racing as she continued to hear noise and shouting coming from up ahead. She moved closer, it was a slow pace that she moved. She could feel her breath, she could feel the air going over her skin. She had no pheromones leaving her body. She had a completely different demeanor than normal. She stared as she got closer and closer, her finger twitching lightly on the trigger of the blaster. She turned to see Skylar and almost growled at her, "Hey... little girl, come on those who stay far behind find themselves shot all too often." she'd say moving forward again slowly her mind racing as she prepared herself. As she moved she went back there once again, it may have been something that she had said but she wasn't aware of it, she was back there for just a moment.

------------------------

"Come on Natasha. Those who stay far behind often find themselves shot!" A human man said.
"That doesn't make any sense." Natasha would bark back at the man.
"It really isn't young one, often times the people who stay in the back either get too comfortable and get attacked from their blindspot... or they wind up doing something that gets everyone to pay attention to them. Or even worse than that." The human turned around and pointed the gun at her as Natasha yelped and dropped her gun. "You make a noise and scare your team so they turn and shoot." he'd say with a grin. "Given that doesn't always happen. In fact that is probably less likely, but it's always a chance! That's why I say it little one. I don't want you to be the victim of chance."
" Hey! I am never going to be a victim!" Natasha yelled at the man, "besides one of these days i'll make my own rules and I won't have to listen to your dumb ones!"

------------------------
Natasha scoffed at the whole situation. Now she was quoting the geezer. She continued to walk towards the cargo bay she waas near the door now. She quickly turned into the bay to see the chaos, and the whole scene. She wasn't sure how to respond so she justtod there gun pointed in the general direction of the door. Her eyes darting from being to being to the.... that was a bomb, that wasn't just any bomb... "What in the hell is happening?!" she'd exclaim looking at it as it made it's way up the ramp. "What in the fucking... hell..." it was all she seemed to be able to get out before sighing realizing the situation was under somewhat control and seeing that Solace was here made her comfortable enough to holster her weapon. But the command by Solace made it obvious, they were leaving. She turned and if Skylar was there she would chuckle, " Well if you want to actually join nows a good time as any to ask the captain, 322." she'd say mocking Skylar once more as she seemed to relax in the doorway for a moment.

"Unless don't tell me you were expecting everyone on the ship to play child games and be enjoyable to be around, because if that was the case then you might as well leave... actually... if you stay too much longer without a decision..." she would lean in to whisper towards Skylar "They might just consider you a stowaway, and that wouldn't be good for anyone."

She would turn back and begin to walk into the cargo bay. That’s when the hangar doors opened and the blaster fire began to echo in the hangar. She saw the three walking the way of the ship. As she automatically pulled out the E-11 Blaster Rifle she had just holstered on her back. She would fire a couple pot shots back growling at the situation. She looked at the three and seeing the rotary cannon knew this wasn’t going to be good. She quickly took cover as the three began their attack. Grabbing a flash grenade from her belt she would yell to those on the ship, "This is gonna get loud and bright!." she said. It wasn’t like it was an actual explosion that could cause some issues but she saw little cover between the 3 beings walking towards them. The mandalorian and that rotary cannon were going to be an issue, a LARGE issue. She had been holding the flash bomb as it was charging to explode, couldn’t allow them much time to respond.

Throwing the bomb; she quickly took cover from it, waiting for the flash of the light that it would release and the loud sound it would emit. There was no actual danger in an explosion thankfully and it was in that moment she remembered once more.

-------------------------------------------
A large Mandalorian stood over a young Natasha, “Remember, when everything goes to shit, if you are in a fight, the fight always is decided by momentum.” The mandalorian set down a little toy it seemed as Natasha tilted her head at it. It was like a cradle with balls hanging from it all touching each other. He lifted one of the balls and let go as it smashed into the line of balls the ball on the other end of the line would then move up and back down crashing and making the original first one move again. Natasha seemed to watch it for a moment before looking at the Mandalorian. “In battle, often times things go like this toy, back and forth, back and forth. Do you know the deciding factor?” He would ask the young Zeltron.

Natasha shook her head.”The deciding factor is whose momentum in a fight lasts until the end. You see each side can fight and fight, and one side can even look like their winning as they go on the offensive. The issue is, all it takes is for their momentum to stop, then they are on the defensive themselves. Battle is all about stopping the momentum, stopping any ebb and flow and putting the other side on the defensive.” He would grab one of the balls as it raised itself up. “So that way when the other side has lost all momentum, yours….. Can destroy them” The Mandalorian’s second hand came crashing down on the toy as the whole thing broke.

Natasha looked at him her eyes wide as he leaned in, “When you find yourself on the defensive, you have to find a way to turn the tide… switch the opposing side from offense to defense, and once they are on their heels. You can crush them. Or get away.
------------------------------------------------

Natasha waited and waited and the second she heard the loud sound and saw the bright flash in her peripheral she would turn and begin to fire at the three that were approaching the ship, she would aim at the Mandalorian who was holding the rotary cannon. Her blaster rifle firing as she looked at those moving the bomb and shouted at them: " Move the bomb! Now!" She would growl before taking cover again, grabbing another flash grenade just in case they needed another one to throw off their opponents.

Vasani'Brinme Skirata || The Shadow

As the girl looked towards the droid in front of her, she quietly wondered if her gamble would work. Would she soon become part of the crew? Would this droid soon enough be her comrade, and hopefully give her all of her shit back? Yet she knew not what the crew of this ship would do with a stowaway, particularly whenever Dak was likely to say that he came in to save her. Especially after shooting at the crew like that. Even as the chaos from before all seemed to be calming down, Brin could not get the worry out of her gut that something was about to happen. Was that the whole force-business, she was still getting used to the whole being able to sense things with her mind and all that. What was due to this "force" or what was simply a gut feeling. She wasn't really sure at this point, but hell, it helped her survive.

Then everything went from not good, to absolutely fucked in a matter of seconds. Really, it was a new record for the young twi'lek. When the girl who had been cowering mere moments before shouted about bad guys, Brin started looking around to figure out who among the crew of criminals and vagabonds was the bad guy. However, she was on high alert all of a sudden from the yelled warning of the younger girl. The last thing she particularly wanted was to be caught in the middle of an attack while she had no weapons to defend herself. Yet, it seemed that was exactly what was going to happen on this wonderful day. The girl was about to suggest that perhaps she should be given a weapon to help defend the ship, and her own hide, whenever everything decided to finally cook-off. Three figures that she did not recognize suddenly appeared, one of them seemed to be a Mandalorian and had a... very big gun.

The twi'lek panicked at the sight of all the newcomers, immediately moving to put the droid between herself and the enemy. Then moving quickly to put some solid object between her and their enemies, the twi'lek booted up her commlink on her wrist. The first logic in her mind, was to try to hack the ship and see if she could engage some sort lockdown once again. Yet soon enough the girl found that she was unable to break into the ship's systems. "Droid! I can try to get port security here, we may be able to get these guys off by playing the victims!" She shouted quickly towards the droid who had her weapons. It was a stupid little gambit, for certain, but something that just might manage to work.

Skylar kept her pace behind Natasha, hesitant to be too close to the woman even more so with how she was at the moment. All seemed to be quiet as she followed the Zeltron, only to have the life scared out of her when Natasha turned around with the blaster aimed at the pilot. Skylar could not help but scowl, she knew the Zeltron was right but with what happened earlier... Skylar let out a sigh as she reluctantly gave in, after all, there was something more important at hand than her petty annoyance with Natasha. She quickly closed the distance between herself and Natasha and continued to follow the other woman towards the cargo bay.

As Skylar entered the cargo bay with Natasha, she lowered her blaster rifle and watched in complete confusion as to what was actually going on, though she didn't care too much for it since she wasn't officially part of the crew yet, until her eyes stopped on the bomb that was being loaded aboard. "Is... Is that... Please don't tell me that's what I think that is..." If her guess was right, she was looking at a type of fusion bomb, probably baradium considering the location. If that is the case, she was pretty sure that just possessing the thing was a war crime. She was broken from her thoughts as Natasha turned to speak towards her again, only to glare at the Zeltron as she used her little nickname for the pilot.

"I'll be honest, I'm beginning to rethink my decision after, well, you, and this whole... situation here. While I wasn't expecting to get along with absolutely everyone onboard, I was at the very least expecting not to be threatened with my bounty before I even joined the crew. Also, I highly doubt that they'll consider me a stowaway considering your captain saw us together before we headed towards the ship."

Skylar lingers at the doors while she watches the Zeltron enter the cargo bay, still unsure of her decision of whether to leave or try and join the crew despite everything. It was then that she heard the all too familiar sound of blaster fire. "It's just one incident after the other isn't it..." With a sigh, the Kuati hoists up her rifle and moves into the cargo bay to find some cover where she can see whoever is shooting at the ship. Once set, Skylar looked through her sights to see the three people who were stupid enough to attack a ship with its crew aboard, though it looked like one of them had a rotary cannon which definitely complicated things a little. After briefly looking away from the flash of the detonator that Natasha threw, Skylar trained her rifle on the wielder of the rotary cannon before sending out a few shots towards the head and arms to try and kill, or at the very least disable, the person using the rotary cannon.

"Jarak"

"I'll deal with you after things are wrapped up here."
It seemed fair enough to him that she would want to deal with perhaps the second stupidest person on the ship, the first being himself of course, before beginning to test how well he could lie to a supposed force user. Though for the price of having to wait a little longer than he'd have liked, he was treated to her giving the dumbass who shot at her crew a little life lesson after almost giving him a heart attack. It was a short-lived reprieve from the never-ending wave of fun that appeared to flock to this ship. From the corner of his eye, Jarak noticed the doors to the hangar open again and three figures walk through it towards the ship, more crew? he thought to himself though he didn't remember them from the dossier and after what he presumed was the Ubese and a little helper walked in with a shopping cart and what looked like a broken fission device that was all the crew on the file accounted for. No, their posture was not that of crew returning to the ship, more like... attacking it, then Solace spoke her orders.

Jarak already at the top of the ramp was certainly in a better situation than those down below and they were having to cart the broken looking bomb up here as well. He gave a small smile as he grabbed his bag and threw it over and behind a conveniently placed crate before following it over as well. Whoever these guys were they certainly looked more imposing than the usual groups of rebels and terrorists he would deal with. He hadn't been expecting a firefight he could properly sink his teeth into so early into his mission so this was certainly a welcome surprise indeed. Opening the zip of his bag revealed most of his equipment; blasters, some grenades, his armour all he had on his person was his pistol and that was not going to surface against a Mando with a Z-6, let alone the other two. Peeking out from behind the crate he squeezed off a few bursts in the assailant's direction hoping to provide some sort of covering fire to those not up the ramp yet.

"Sable"

Sable nodded his head to Solace before turning to address the trouble making Twi'Lek "Please follow me miss we don't want any more trouble do we?" Sable said as he began to lead the Twi'Lek towards the exit of the bay. It had certainly been an interesting end to their stay on Anchorage, they'd had people hide away before but never ones that tried to shoot the place up and then ask for a job. Though Solace mentioning the word fresh when referring to Five Toes cooking gave him something to have a little chuckle about. But it would seem the quiet that had descended momentarily would disappear just as quickly as it came.

From the hangar bay ramp, he heard Solace shout orders at the newcomer and presumably Kabal who was the only one unaccounted for. Sable was confused for a moment at the urgency of Solace's orders, surely the danger was over right? Wrong, more shots came from the bottom of the ramp and the blaster sounded big but Sable couldn't tell what it was. He watched in slight surprise as the Twi'Lek went from cowering behind him, to behind some more solid cover than his slender frame, perhaps she wasn't as brave as her attempt to stow away on a mercenaries ship portrayed her as. Needless to say Sable was incredibly happy with this new development, a proper fight is what he existed for after all and he had already processed the perfect way to deal with the fools who dared attack his ship.

It was then that the Twi'Lek spoke to him and offered what was certainly a solution to the current predicament but not in any way related to what he was going to do. "Port security won't be necessary, I'm planning on enjoying myself if they don't take the rather large hint I'm going to give them." As he crouched down next to the Twi'Lek his eyes flashed, not too far from their location on deck four an Astromech whirred into life, under instructions from Sable it exited the coral and proceeded towards the turbolift and headed for the lower Turbolaser control room on deck two, Sable might have been built for fighting but no one ever told him it had to be done in a fair manner. The Astromech accessed the controls and began charging the guns, checking the camera mounted on the turret he saw there were three assailants and one was what looked like Deathwatch. "Oh goody it's been too long since I've killed some Deathwatch." Sable's eyes flashed again and the turret's mechanisms hummed into life, the twin barrels swung out and stared down angrily at the three squishy fools assaulting the ship. Perhaps acting on something Alanna put in his programming but he couldn't bring himself to atomise them... yet "Captain I feel as though I should give you the opportunity to let them leave with their pathetic lives before I wipe them from existence, if you wanna shout from the ramp that's fine but if you can make it to me you can broadcast an offer of mercy over loudspeaker.

Eye contact was brief and purposefully so due to the storm of incoming fire that scorched the crates and hull behind her. "If it's not one damn thing it's another!" Solace cursed out aloud, taking refuge behind a barrel next to the ramp door and slamming the controls to begin the process of shutting the door. Regardless of whether those inside wanted to be aboard or not, their choices were dwindling and not exactly ideal. The three at the end of the hangar slowly approached, and although the Mandalorian was by far the most obvious and pressing concern, something was off about the Devaronian that made her feel like he was something else entirely. Nearby though, Natasha and the Kuati girl made themselves known, firing back with moderate efficacy.

"New girl! Forget the Mando-cunt and shot the horned bastard!" Just as soon as the words left her lips the tell-tale blue flashes of an energy field dissipated the energy of those bolts that would have hit home. Armor and a personal energy shield… That was trouble, and any experienced mercenary knew that. Worse than your normal skilled killer, these were obviously not just highly skilled, but also successful if the state of their arms meant anything. Sure she might have had one or two toys of that nature hanging around the armory, and her crew was struggling to get a baradium fission device into the cargo hold before the ramp crushed it and them, or worse it got shot and went off, but there was having such things, and there was using them. Every merc worth their salt had a couple things laying around for a rainy day, never mind how much she hated that phrase. For these three to use them meant that they could either afford to lose them, or that they were confident enough in their skills.

Neither outcome sounded very good for their longterm prospects. What concerned her more though was that out of all three, not a single hit was found on the ship's register of bounty hunters and mercenaries. A list that she made sure that both herself and their resident information broker updated every time they made port. A list that contained not just sanctioned hired guns, but also the criminals, gang-members, assassins and more notorious individuals out there that didn't play by the rules. If these three didn't have records then either they were new, which was so unlikely as to be dismissed outright, or they had some very powerful benefactors. The kind of benefactors that could either be the Empire or the Hutts. "Fuck. Just what we need." At least Sena was safe on the upper decks and as well armed as they seemed to be, they didn't entirely think through their little plan.

More than just that, she had a well-trained and experienced crew that not only out-numbered the kill team assembled before them, but they had forgotten one minor detail. It was not often that she allowed Sable to enjoy himself to such extent, but this time it felt like just such an occasion where playing light was not in their interests.

"To hell with mercy, no warning shots Sable. Give them a full broadside and paint the hangar walls! We'll sort it out with Port Authority later."
