A Idea I had after binge watching a bunch different shows like the rain, between, the sparticle mystery, the tribe
looking for someone to help me set up the roleplay if there is interest shown.

The world as we know it ended by a disease carried by the rain, the disease targeted everyone over the age of 15 years old. Everyone who was infected by the rain either experienced a painful quick death or turn into a freak, almost zombie like creature that hunted and attacked those not caught in the rain. (I haven't quite decided yet for the part in yellow still thinking on it, let me know what you think) The roleplay is going to take place six years after the event where those survived the rain are now living in clusters of survivors trying restore to their now chaotic world by reintroducing civilized functions like money and democratic elections.

Like I said before, this is just a idea I had really justed wanted to share with others to see if I can find someone who would like to either takeover the idea or help me set up the roleplay.

Interesting. Was the rain a one-time event or did it rain multiple times, killing more people as they inevitably aged past 15? I presume those over 15 that stayed indoors survived too, yeah?

EDIT: Additional questions and ideas.

If you go the zombie-like route, perhaps they could be nocturnal, in a way? Since rain is misty, cold, etc. and helps cool off the temperature, the zombies prefer cooler temperatures like those during nighttime. It'd make scavenging and what not harder during the day if there's a bunch of zombies more or less hibernating in an abandoned store.

Also, what types of characters are you looking for? People who were under 15 years of age at the time of the rain, but survived it somehow? Adults that survived it? A mix of both? I suppose I should ask where this RP would be based, too, to help with generating characters.

This looks interesting, and surely something we can work out. I agree with Kuro on most of his questions :)

I was thinking that it could have rained multiple times throughout the last few years, but not as bad as the first year. The rain carries a virus that only affects those over fifteen years old, So who stay out of the rain definitely won't get affected.

Well I'm planning the roleplay to start six years later, So it would be people who are survivors. It can be a mix of both adults and teenagers. My plan is to have everyone either include in their character sheets how they survived in the rain and survived all those years or in their first post.

I'm planning for the roleplay to be based in a safe haven located in nevada... still giving it some thought. but I'm pretty sure I want it based in nevada.

Someone had messaged me privately about how people would survive without a drinkable water source, But since it is virus it won't survive hot temperatures. so the water is drinkable after being boiled. unless you have a different idea I would love to hear it.

Well, that's how they did it in The Rain, so if you're basing parts of the RP off of that show, it'd work.

Is there also a small percentage of the population (like 1% or so) naturally immune to the virus? Or if there were no immunes before the virus, do some people get born over the course of the years with immunity or partial immunity (again very low percentage ofcourse)?

Interested. How does it determine your age? Is there a magical counter that checks your age (and accounts for leap years), or is it more about biology, in which case someone who is 14 could die, whereas so could someone who is 16?
