Valentina first met Rachel during a party that she happened to be hosting. The two of them seemed to mesh really well. At least, they did when they were dancing around the stage or smoking weed in the parking lot.

Valentina Marie has always been the kind of girl that parents warn their children about hanging around. She does have an artistic flair which has gained her great popularity in life, but has had a certain "I don't care" attitude ever since she was a child. Although she is known to be a likable young woman with a winning smile and a quick sense of humor, she also has very little respect for authority, is often dangerously careless, and is ultimately out to get but not to give. Valentina tends to operate on the principle of having a good time; a borderline Hedonist, she's a person who believes that the pursuit of pleasure is the most important thing in life, and will go to great lengths to get the things that she wants. She angers easy, especially when things don't go her way, and had resorted to violence in her past in order to deal with certain issues. Although she doesn't necessarily hit people anymore—at least, not outside of the ring—she does still have a short-temper and has to remove herself from the situation to avoid causing any trouble.

Despite her shortcomings, Valentina has proven to be an interesting individual; When she isn't being an aggressive bitch, she is actually a really cool person to befriend. She's usually a very nice and sociable person, and carries herself with a certain confidence. She'll make you laugh more than anyone else you know, and will go to Hell and back for the people that she considers to be her family and friends. She's also a very determined person, and will always follow through whenever she sets her mind on something.

Valentina Castro spent the first eighteen years of her life living in a sketchy neighborhood in the Northside of Long Beach, California. She was raised by a Jamaican mother named Gabrielle who worked as a pharmacist, and a Puerto Rican father named Miguel who worked as a boxing coach; although they didn't bring in much money, they made just enough to pay bills and keep food on the table. Growing up, Tina was constantly getting into trouble, whether it was in school or around the city. She was only ten years old when she was first suspended from school after getting into a fight on the playground, and by the time she'd turned thirteen, she'd been brought home by the police multiple times after hanging around with local gang members. Worried for their daughter, Miguel and Gabrielle put Tina into boxing in an attempt to help her manage her anger issues and keep her occupied. And this worked... for a little while. Valentina eventually grew up to be a very disciplined, skilled boxer, and even won the state championship when she was sixteen. Her parents even thought that things were finally turning around for their daughter when the young woman was accepted into Woodbury university. Unfortunately, they were very wrong.

Rather than focus on her studies, Valentina spent the first couple of years of her college experience partying, drinking, and smoking. She quickly became the girl everyone went to whenever they needed someone to host their party or get on the mic and hype up the crowd. It didn't come as much of a shock to her family when Tina was placed on academic probation after her Sophomore year. It did come as a surprise, however, when she managed to pull her GPA up in enough time to maintain her enrollment in the university. It was also around this time that Tina decided to switch her major to music production and grew interested in the music industry; after spending so much time on stage, she realized that she wanted it to be her music that the people were jamming to.

It is now the Summer before Valentina's Senior year, and although she's still the avid party-goer that she was during her first few years of college, she's now putting a little more effort into perfecting her craft and finishing school with a decent GPA. She was planning on getting a Summer job at her father's gym before she received the invitation from Rachel; to say that she was excited to not have to spend the next few months surrounded by a bunch of sweaty men is an understatement.

During a particularly hectic hell week on a theatre production she was acting in, Remi was introduced to Rachel when her stage manager had to call in a favor when it seemed like the whole world was breaking apart (mostly on stage). The favor didn't end there as after Rachel magicked everything up like some magical Fairy Godmother, she continued to flit around and made sure everyone was doing alright from the lowliest stage hand to the rest of the management team that continued to butt heads. Remi found herself liking the girl well enough to where she found herself surprisingly happy that Rachel attended the cast party after the production which from there led them to mutually sending out occasional party and hangout invites.

From her perfect skin to her glossy hair and casual chic outfits that often change almost as much as the other, it's easy to assume that Remi comes from a life of privilege, and it's because she does. The aura that she just positively does not give a shit about anyone or anything that is not immediately relevant to her oozes out of her confident strides and disinterested brown eyes. The fact that she stands at a petite five-foot-two doesn't seem to change that in the slightest for a large number of people who have met her.

Of course like a lot of things, Remi puts in a large amount of effort behind the scenes in order to keep a body as aesthetically pleasing as hers. Still, even with a strict training regimen and an even stricter hair and skincare routine built from an impressive line of beauty products and advice collected over the years, it is made all the more easier to maintain due to her family's oodles of money.

Remi Rainbows, born Minh Hoa Vuong, grew up in a very quiet household. Her parents were almost never home, and even when they were they were almost never seen together. Her older brother, despite being only two years apart, has spoken maybe a collective one hundred words to her in all their time growing up. It was only with one of her aunts who cared and nurtured for Remi did she initially find the human contact that she craved, only for her aunt to eventually leave as well once she became busy with her own life and family.

It wouldn't be until middle school when she was assaulted by an almost literal ball of energy and excitement who would soon later become one of her best friends did she find a comfortable human connection again. Through his infectious energy, Remi began slowly opening up to the world and learn to stand on her own (with the support of a few friends). In high school, she flowered by taking on an identity that she was more comfortable with, taking more and more opportunities to immerse herself in a variety of passions and hobbies that would eventually lead her to the theatre. That little theatre bug ignited a spark that led her to pursuing theatre and all its facets as a serious career in university.

Now with diploma in hand, she's ready to have one last, magnificent rager on Carnation Island before she steps onto the next unfamiliar journey of her life.

Like a lot of people Seb seems to meet, he met the mystical unicorn of Woodford University (the one found while sober, anyway) at a party his dance team held. It was only a passing acquaintance, a quick "hi, how are you, what's your major?" type of incident that was quickly forgotten about the next day, if not in the next hour. But then Seb just kept on meeting the girl over and over again, from parties to casual hangouts to even runbys down hallways. It came to the point where if he didn't see Rachel at whatever event he was at, he'd just feel weird the entire time throughout. While he would hesitate to call them actual friends, he wouldn't even blink twice if she asked him to go anywhere or do anything, whether it be a jumping off a bridge together or traveling to her family's own private island.

Like a peacock, Sebastian preens and prides himself on his appearance. With a sharp face, dark brown eyes, and a carefully cultivated undercut of equally dark brown hair, Sebastian would be the first to rate himself a 10/10, smolder me again. The only thing he isn't happy about is his PERFECTLY AVERAGE HEIGHT OF FIVE-FOOT-SEVEN, but as long as its never pointed out or he isn't forced to stand next to someone well over six feet, it doesn't bother him too much. Besides, it's the perfect height for him to be placed center in every dance piece anyway.

Seb's sense of fashion is also similar to his hairstyle where he attempts to keep a messy-casual look with clothes that he's collected from his many thrifting adventures. At least his work seems to pay off for itself as most of his closet either fits him extremely well or is oversized in a comfortable and fashionable way. His figure and making sure the profile that his clothes make with him is maintained by the constant cardio dance provides for him, with occasional extra exercise when he can fit it into his schedule or during downtimes between seasons.

Like Jun can be sometimes (or really, a lot of the time), he grew up in a household that was loud, proud, with an eomma who could easily beat any of her four children together if armed with anything resembling a kitchen implement, pound for pound. Thus if Sebastian, being the youngest of all his siblings, didn't learn how to stand and express himself pretty much from the moment he could form words then he would have never had his way for anything while growing up, and to little baby Sebastian that was just unthinkable.

Ever since, he's carried that attitude all through his life and it's served him pretty alright so far. It led to a circle of close friends and an even wider network of acquaintances which was only further widened when he joined the dance world in high school. It somehow led to several scholarships that allowed him to attend Woodford University to the mystification of all but his dear momma since he was always a passable, if not outwardly noteworthy student. And somehow, it's led him to the greatest rager Rachel has thrown yet.

Rachel invited her to a few parties, but Aria politely declined. School was - and always has been - more important. Rachel insisted that Aria had to let lose. The way Aria sees it, this vacation party was her final offer. Aria was glad to accept.

Aria was raised in a nurturing, loving home right up until the age of twelve. During that childhood bliss, Arias family (her, her parents, and her brother Jared) were as close as could be. They took vacations, did the family photos - everything was just like in the movies. Her parents encouraged her in everything that she did, and sent her to a private school to better her education. Her father was just a mechanic, her mother a nurse. They had just enough money to live comfortably. At the unfortunate age of twelve, however, Aria's mother died in a car crash. Her father couldn't afford the tuition for both her and Jared, so they were pulled out of private school. Her father became hallow and distant from there on out, using alcohol to cope on his bad days. Liam tried to make sure that his children knew that he still loved them. Unfortunately, the family was just never the same.

Aria realized that she liked girls at the age of thirteen. She had never really been attracted to boys, even though people acted like she should be. Public school came with a new set of challenges. Aria had never been the best a public speaking, and presentation projects seemed to be a frequent thing for most of her classes. The more she stuttered, the more she was bullied. She loved to read and code things on the computer. Bullying made to to where she didn't even want to go to school anymore. Jared was there for her when he could be, but he was two years older than her. His main focus was football and girls.

At the age of fourteen, Aria entered high school. High school was more of a hell then she ever could have imagined. She became emotionally distant like her father, and felt trapped not being able to be in a relationship like the other kids. Being gay was becoming more and more accepted, but it didn't make anything easier for her. She started self-harming half way into her Freshman year. Her English teacher suggested that maybe she should try out for the softball team, and so she did. The softball team was just looking for an extra person to fill up their roster. Instead, what they got was their star pitcher. She played softball for all four years of high school, and poured herself into her studies.

Sophomore year was more of a hell than ever. Aria was self-harming practically every day, and people asked questions as to why she always wore long sleeves or multiple bracelets all the time. She became more and more depressed as time went on, but coming out to her family made things just a little easier. Jared was the first person Aria ever came out to, which gave her the confidence to do so with her father. There was a girl at school which she had a major crush on, and who just so happened to like her back. They started dating that summer.

Aria graduated third in her class from high school. She is attending Woodford on a sports scholarship.

Life sucks when you're broke but constantly surrounded by rich people.

Farah can't say she had a bad life growing up, but everything in her life had to be worked for; whether it was a pair of shoes she wanted to wanting to go out with friends, she always felt like she had to work twice as hard to get what she wanted. The phrase 'penny among diamonds' didn't suffice considering she rode on scholarships for the entirety of her educational experience, only to end up working in some resort because college was so damn expensive. At first, the tips and flexible hours made things a breeze, but holy shit, she had never run into so many entitled people all at once. The combination of unreasonable attitudes and ridiculous demands made her rather jaded, but she the job paid too well for her to quit just because someone decided to use her as a verbal punching bag that day. Instead, she invested in a few classes to practice her speech and mannerisms, learning how to talk to the rich and famous without wanting to pull her hair out in frustration. Once she does save up enough, she plans on quitting and going to school full time.

Because every epic party needs some star power, doesn't it? It was a coup to get one of Woodford University's top athletes to come to this shindig, because everyone knows who Jade Scott is and what she is about. She scores goals, and lots of them. So she's a damn celebrity, and she knows it. Also, Rachel bailed Jade out of a tough assignment in her Journalism 304 class, so Jade owes her big, and showing up for a raging summer-long party before hunkering down and working on getting that #1 draft spot in the NWSL is a great way to repay a favor.

Anyone who knows Jade Scott knows that this is a girl who can not be stopped. Once she decides she's going to do something, she will not rest until she accomplishes that goal. Usually that goal is goals, but even in getting back to shape following her injury, getting that invite onto the US Women's team, she is driven to achieve whatever she needs to do to get to the next step.

Which is why her exclusion from the team in France has been a little tough to take. There was only other time she felt this low, and that was as she spent months hobbling around her Denver-area home with a giant brace on her leg. The invite to the party was initially accepted out of obligation to the host, but maybe this is the opportunity Jade needs to start thinking outside of soccer a bit. She only chose a degree in Communications so she could continue to talk about soccer after she was done playing soccer. What if there is more to life than that? The time at the resort will give her the chance to think about it... and enjoy carte blanche to have all the things she denied herself while training.

Jade Scott was born in Rifle, Colorado into an athletic family. Her mother Courtney was a track star in Arvada, while her father Vaughn spent two seasons on the Broncos' practice squad as a running back. Jade was introduced to sports at a young age and quickly took to the local soccer program in Rifle. She took to it very well. Too well. It became clear she was combining her mother's speed with her father's footwork to devastating results for the rest of the kids in town. When she was 10, the Scotts moved to Denver to give Jade a shot to play against some real competition.

It didn't matter. Jade kept dusting the competition. The Golden Girl was the subject of local stories, a challenger to the records of Mia Hamm and Kristine Lilly. Then she tore her ACL in her senior year of high school. That sucked. The universities she had her eyes set on spurned her, in fear that she would not be able to hit those speeds she did before. Only Woodford kept its offer of a full ride intact. It was a decision that Kraken fans would not regret. Jade came back strong as ever, blitzing the competition and pouring in goal after goal. She planted herself back on the soccer map, but was not rewarded with a call up to the senior women's team. So instead, she's going to take the time to enjoy her summer and focus on her senior year ahead, intent on making the doubters pay yet again.

Just recently got dumped a few months back, tries hiding his pain by sleeping around with girls but he still really loves his ex-girlfriend. He'd never openly admit to it, though.

Yet just another girl that Dak was "friend-zoned" by. He was always there for the girl when she needed someone to talk to, when no one else was there. Of course, like most the guys that knew Rachel, Dak had a huge crush on her, but he remained a loyal friend to her and still he remains. With the invitation, Dak was kind of surprised, though. Even after his glow-up after high school, he didn't feel like he really belonged in the "in-crowd". This may just be his time to shine.

He thinks that she finds him amusing, and maybe that's the truth, however, the other truth is probably truer. They're classmates, he had the smallest of crushes, maybe they hooked up, maybe he tried to persuade her to do drugs and failed but she still finds him quite funny and self destructing enough to be entertaining.

Matt can be misinterpreted a lot of the time because his sense of humor can be quite cutting. He's boisterous and a total party animal and can get quite wild when drunk. Other times, provided he's sober and happy, he can be a goofball and can look quite innocent. However, if he's provoked he can get a lot worse, he becomes angry really fast and considering how reckless he is he can be quite the self detonating bomb.

Matt grew up in a normal family, if his upbringing can be considered one. Under the care of a single mom and with a little sister in tow he's always wanted a father, his wish granted when his mom remarried to her long time boyfriend when he was 12. Matt was over the sun and he and his step father bonded a lot. He was the one who taught Matt how to bake (albeit badly) and how to play soccer. So when he died when Matt was 16, it felt like his whole life had fallen apart. High school for Matt turned into someplace where he could fully lash out in the absence of what he believed was the only person who would love him, his mom had already proven to fall apart in pieces after her second break up. As Matt went to parties and got drunk he left his sister back at home under the care of a slowly crumbling "mother" figure. He feels a lot of regret for those days now, even though his relationship with his little sister, Avery is mended and she loves him more than anything else in the world.

After graduation he decided to attend University, majoring in Game Development in order to follow his dead step dad's wishes. Throughout his years he finally is able to grow up a bit and understand the anger and the angst that's been kept inside him for so long. He still enjoys partying and having fun but for the right reasons now, instead of the wrong ones. However, he also still has an inclination to cause trouble just for the fun of it, and maybe because he doesn't realise that the effects of his step dad's death still hasn't left him.

At first, Merlou only knew Rachel as a friend of a friend. She was always kind of there, but she never really worked herself up to talk to her because she would've felt bad since Rachel always seemed so busy and Merlou didn't want to interrupt her. So it went on like this for some time until the school started up with their plays, in which that was the moment she actually met Rachel. Of course, Merlou definitely had the potential to play a part, but she was too worried about messing something up hat she worked backstage, helping build and paint the sets. It wasn't until she met the acting crew that she was finally able to talk to her, and after that, she started seeing more of Rachel and soon became friends with her.

Caring and friendly towards everyone, Merlou is a prime example of someone you'd call a "gentle giant." She's extroverted and loves to be around people, very much disliking being alone, so she surrounds herself with those she can talk to. Supportive and believes everyone deserves a second chance, Merlou is more than willing to be a shoulder to cry on; she is the type of person you can call at three in the morning and she'll be over in five minutes despite what's going on. She's reliable and will provide moral and emotional support, along with a good cry and a hug.

Highly sensitive and very emotionally open herself, she takes critism to heart and will beat herself up over it for days. She doesn't like worrying other people with her problems, so she keeps the deeper feelings bottled up, but she doesn't mind listening to other's problems and giving her all to support then. She's basically just a human teddy bear.

Born to Zenaida and David Zenon, Merlou grew up in a wealthy household with her eight other siblings. Being the eldest daughter, she had two older brothers, Zarion and Aldrich, she felt as if it were her job to take care of her other siblings. Their parents were often away from home for business, since they both owned a popular business together. They did have a babysitter, but ultimately, it was Merlou who did most of the taking care of.

Merlou was pretty close with her family until around middle school, when she had realized she was gay. She did end up coming out to her family, and it's not like they were unsupportive, they just kind of treated it like a joke. Like it was a phase that she was going to grow out of, so to make them happy, she wen't along with it and didn't bring it up again, though it made her very uncomfortable whenever they would mention it. Her parents were the only people she ever shyed away from telling, only because she didn't wish to make them disappointed in any way. She just wanted to make everyone happy, though she still feels really bad about it. She wants to make everyone happy but she hates lying, so through most of highschool, she felt very conflicted, one of the major things she fought with herself about.

After high school, Merlou decided to become a nurse, wanting to help as many people as she could, since that's always been an aspiration of hers. Not a lot of dramatic things have happened in her life except her disconnection with her family, only because she felt extremely uncomfortable being around them, especially since they've always pressured her to find herself a husband. She's just never had the guts to seriously tell them to stop, so instead, she distanced herself away from them.

When she got the message from Rachel inviting her to the island, Merlou immediately accepted. She's always admired Rachel, plus going to a fancy island with a whole bunch of people sounded like a paradise. Merlou never really had a whole bunch of money herself, refusing to take any from her parents, so she basically lived on her own, so it wasn't often she got to treat herself, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Though she did hesitate a little _{a lot}, because she didn't want to take up space for others that may have wanted to come, she eventually said yes.
