The Solonis

Captain Duncan was proud of her ship. As she strolled through the interior toward the main hangar, she was happy to see that the crew were not flapping their arms about the current situation as much as when they had first arrived. Making sure that the ship was in the best condition that it could be was keeping them too occupied to think about it, and Captain Duncan knew that was an endless task. They would come to relax soon, Hayley was sure of it. You couldn't keep too worried about something forever.

Arriving at the hangar, she saw the shuttle that she was meant to board not by the fact that she had been told which but because there were a pair of marines standing guard, and from her approaching angle she could see the flutter of hands by the pilots as they did their preflight checklists. What surprised her a little more than anything that it wasn't a standard ferry shuttle but was a marine assault shuttle - clearly Lieutenant Knox was concerned about her safety. A smirk appeared on Hayley's face as she thought about it; perhaps that concern in safety was just in case an engagement happened and Commander Furret had to take over the ship. No doubt if Elliot was taking the same journey as herself he would be using a standard shuttle.

Hayley didn't march over at full speed, she walked leisurely over, looking over the hangar as she did so. The insignia on the side of the fighters that were in their berths told her that Apricot were still landed whilst Fang were on CSP. No doubt some of Fang would latch their patrol onto the shuttle as it made it's way to it's destination. Some of the crew gave her salutes as she walked near them, and Hayley returned them with ease until she arrived at the shuttle. She returned the salutes of the marines and the crew chief at the entrance, and then looked the latter up and down. "Permission to board, chief?" She asked as a matter of formalities. She grinned immediately after, and so did the crew chief.

"Permission granted, welcome aboard, Captain!" The crew chief replied, turning to make his way into the shuttle. Hayley followed behind, and the marines made up the rear. The interior of the shuttle was cramped and built for efficiency rather than looks. The crew chief took his station near the cockpit door, and Hayley took the station that would normally be occupied by the marine compliment's platoon leader if a platoon had been on board and buckled up. From there, she could at least look outside of the craft using the displays. The marines sat down at the closest seats to the hatch, talking among themselves. The buckling up was different to standard shuttles, and she knew it was just for additional safety. Marines had a harder job.

Hayley wasn't too bothered about the cramped spaces and ugliness of the interior - she had been a midshipwoman once and had to sleep in a similarly ugly cabin. The real thing that bothered her was that at any moment the pilots could hit a button and all of the marine's seats, including her current one, could drop out of the bottom of the craft. If they came under attack or had to drop quickly, it was a good way to get out of the shuttle. On the other hand, Hayley wasn't wearing a sealed suit, and so didn't feel like taking a joyride on her chair out into space.

The shuttle's hatched closed, and Hayley watched through the external cameras as they lifted off the deck and drifted toward one of the waiting airlocks. A massive door closed behind the shuttle, and after the atmosphere was drained from the airlock, the exterior hull hatched opened, revealing the inky black of space. Hayley reminded herself that all of the other ships were friendly as the assault shuttle activated it's main thrusters and flew for the Resurgence. Hayley took immediate notice that Assault Shuttles lacked in stabilisers; whilst the tug was minimised, she still felt herself wanting to slip out of her seat. She cast a glance over at the marines in the back, and felt a little more at ease by their relaxed looks and conversation. They were used to this kind of movement.

The assault shuttle slid it's way into the Resurgence's hangar, and then stopped with such abruptness that Hayley thought she was going to break some bones. She had been expecting the gentle acceleration of a normal shuttle, but the marine pilots thought differently. Once the craft touched down on the deck, the marines were already halfway outside of the hatch by the time she had undone her seat buckle; she wondered if they had even had the buckle on in the first place. She followed them outside, and was met by one of her own, who saluted her as she exited the shuttle.

"Tell me you know where we're going Robert," Hayley says, returning his salute. Their arms dropped, and Robert Sinclair motions for Hayley to follow. The marines remained at the shuttle, chatting to eachother again. Hayley often wished she had the ability to listen into such conversations, just to poke at her own personal curiosity, but she knew such a gift was a curse as much as it was a benefit.

"Aye, Captain. It's not too far, we'll be there quite quickly," Robert responds, before adding, "Which is a good thing, because it's due to start quite soon."

On the journey to the meeting room, the pair discussed what Robert had been doing aboard the Resurgence, and Hayley tutted him for the argument that he had managed to get into. She should have expected as much with Robert being aboard with a load of scientists, but there was little other option other than sending a few other optimistic engineers over, whom she wouldn't trust as much with presenting the proper values of the ship.

Robert was correct that they would be there quickly, but Hayley was cursing herself for not being a little earlier - they walked in just as the meeting began, it appeared. The pair quietly took seats to listen to the beginning of the meeting as well as get a proper look at those around them, a lot of whom they had not properly met.

Briefing Room aboard the Resurgence

Jason entered the room just behind the delegation from the Daedalus, Commander Hammer to his right and slightly behind him. They took their position at the head of the table and remained silent while the rest of the ships introduced themselves to each other. Caldwell, McKay and Sheppard had just finished explaining the implications of what Wampa Squad had found and he couldn't say he was happy about it, nor could he say he fully understood the means by which the source of the new technology came to be here. After the others had spoken, he himself spoke up. "I'm glad everyone could make it and without incident. Admiral, I trust you and the Shipmaster of the Immaculate Aegis can figure this out between you when they arrive." He then turned to address the crew of the Second Chance, choosing to ignore the painful pun Keiran had just given. "I strongly doubt that the crew of the Unbroken Hope is from your future, as it would seem that technology developed differently than what you have, but all the same, they might be able to give you some tips you can use when we get home to our own universes." He nodded to the crew from the Solonis and gave the captain of the Blathriin Va a quizzical look, but didn't press as it was the business of he and his crew and nodded to the representative from the Egg Carrier, which was still a strange thing to call a warship in the first place, but didn't want to cause troubles. "With introductions given, Colonel, I think it best we cut to the chase."

Jerus had noted that the Supreme Commander had arrived again, but as per his status as a Jedi within the Remnant, he had no requirement to answer to the Supreme Commander anymore, just like when he'd first joined up as a bounty hunter for the group. He wore his Beskar'gam armor, but his helmet rested under his arm as he looked over the assembled groups. When Samus arrived, he moved to stand next to her while the introductions continued. "When this is done, I've got a couple of bounties for us to take care of. You up for some work?"

Caldwell indicated for Rodney to start first. Rodney stood up as a hologram appeared above the table they were all sat up. Relayed from the Daedalus it showed the inner workings of several of the alien technologies they had encountered so far in this galaxy. Then two comparison screens were brought side by side, one of the turbolaser turret from the Resurgence and one from one of the new Assimilator class ships. "Here we have a comparison between the guns on the Resurgence which are roughly twenty to thirty years in advance of the galaxy we are currently in-" The other diagram highlighted. "-and yet the new technology that the Empire is building for their new vessels is far superior and more advanced than anything that this ship possesses. On examining the technology we discovered crystalline technology, far in advance to anything anyone in this Galaxy uses or has ever used."

An image of a crystal was brought up. A comparison crystal was brought alongside it, that of a Lantean control crystal. "As you can see this crystal is very similar to the technology that the race we know as the Ancients used, however, there ware some key important differences. A flavour of another type of technology of another race we know. A race that is known as the Goa'uld."

Sheppard spoke up next. "Basically, we know why we're here. There's a Goa'uld in this Galaxy giving technology to Palpatine, probably manipulating him. A Goa'uld called Anubis, and he's bad news."

Caldwell nodded in agreement. "We're going to have to stop him."

Eri 'Moram - The Resurgence Briefing Room

The holographic diagram of these supposedly advanced technologies that McKay was describing meant little to Eri. She had no point of reference nor technological expertise of her own to compare them to the technology of her own universe, though it also did not much matter to her. She was willing to, at least for the moment, believe that the Human was being honest, because whether or not the technology was truly advanced was not the issue. She was there to represent the Aegis, and in this matter, her perspective was likely close to that of Falul.

"You say that this technology comes from a species from your universe, but even so, why does that matter? How does that explain why we are here? Just for the fact that he is an opponent from your universe? These Humans are here from my universe." Eri said, gesturing to the UNSC delegation. "Why would this Goa'uld's presence mean anything more than theirs? How would fighting Anubis in any way bring us closer to returning to our own homes?"

McKay turned to Eri. "Anubis isn't an ordinary being." He looked to Sheppard for help who simply shrugged, and he shot him a dirty look. "Okay, so where we come from, thousands of years ago a race we call the Ancients learnt how to shed their physical bodies and become beings of pure energy, granting them immense knowledge and power. For all extensive purposes, it made them gods. Anubis managed to trick one of these beings into aiding him to ascend. He gained all their knowledge, advanced technologies the likes of which he couldn't have imagined and ways to conquer the Galaxy unhindered. However, the Ancients stopped him and kind of returned him to a halfway point between regular being and ascended being. He still held a lot of their knowledge and had some level of access to his ascended abilities making him a formidable foe, and unkillable in every sense of the word. Our working theory-" He nodded to Caldwell and Sheppard.

"-Is that somehow Anubis made his way into this universe, like some form of an inter-universal virus. We also believe that our ascended Ancients sent us here as the anti-body. We need to find the reason why we got brought here, this is the only thing that makes sense. His presence here is a massive bullseye, we can try getting our own way back. I'm sure I can figure it out, but I think we'll just get sent back here."

UNSC Unbroken Hope

1530 Hours, April 11th 2550 (Military Calendar) /
Unknown system, Unknown sector, Aboard the Resurgence.

Interacting with: Everyone aboard the Resurgence.

As the room began to fill, the team of six took turns glancing toward the others arriving in the room. The Spartans didn't seem too keen on letting their guard down in the presence of an otherwise diplomatic meeting; still locked onto the Sangheili and ever so slightly shifting closer to the Admiral as the room began to fill. Marcus Oliver seemed rather unfazed as he sat in the uncomfortable chair; now twiddling his thumbs underneath the table as he began to grow impatient. As much as he longed to be back aboard his own vessel despite being in this room for the past forty minutes, he was glad that everyone was as just as lost- if not outright confused- as he was. That, and it was refreshing not to have ONI Spooks breathing down his neck in a situation as predictably outlandish as this. Glancing to the dynamic duo, he allowed a curt smile at the pair's surprise of his timeline. "Believe it or not, appearances can be deceiving."

Turning to the man who spoke, he recognized the voice from the hail earlier. Certainly not from this Resurgence. It was safe to assume that this Caldwell figure had been the one to initially contact everyone- yet why summon them to a different ship for the purposes of a meeting? Marcus glanced toward the mentioned figures and nodded to each of them, remaining silent. His CNI pinged a message from Issac as blue-tinted letters scrolled down along the right side of his vision.

[!ATT (ISC-2869-3) Admiral Oliver, drive is 100%. We've pulled around closer to the ship you're on, about 550m away. Lots of traffic around us.]

He didn't respond- there was no need to. The only hope there was, was to receive the information he'd been curious about, then go about his way. Getting his people out of here and back home was his only priority, and it'd take more than words from some self-appointed HIGH-COM foreign element to convince him to help out.

Second Chance Team

On Board the Resurgence

Tu Lee frowned for a second, trying to digest the new information.

"Alright. Let's set the, erm, 'godlike, post-singularity, transdimensional beings controlling whether or not we get sent home' hypothesis to the side for the moment." She patted the table in front of her. "If... if this 'Anubis' character did make his way here on his own, then presumably he still has the tech or know-how to get back. So, whether or not we want to act as 'antibodies', Anubis might control the one thing in this galaxy that can get us all back. That's worth looking into. We need to go on a recon mission and find out if he has the tech. If he doesn't -" she glanced at Eri "-we negotiate with him if he's friendly; we'll capture him, interrogate him, etcetera if he isn't. And if he does have the tech... we steal it before we stop being his own, personal, out-of-context problem."
"The Second Great Wormhole Heist!" Keiran quietly said.
"No." Tu Lee admonished. Turning back to the group, she said, "At the very least, we need to find out if he has the tech. We can decide later what to do about it."

"Another thing," Keiran started. Tu Lee glanced at him, surprised. "I've been enjoying sitting cooped up in these Mists as much as the next guy: paying 'taxes', surviving off of half-arsed raids, eating rationed food, breathing stale air..." - he paused as he registered Tu Lee's gradually tightening glare - "But, I'm sick of hiding. We can live better than this. We're more than rats cowering away from cats. We have technologies and wonders nobody in this Universe has ever seen or heard of! We can cure diseases, improve manufacturing, make better bombs, create better artificial life, revolutionize transportation, and whatever else you lot have up your sleeves. What if we weren't sent here to defeat Anubis? What if, instead, we were sent here to make this galaxy better? What if we were sent here to create a thriving society using advances from dozens of timelines to solve problems none of us have even thought of? We shouldn't be afraid of leaving the Mists. We shouldn't be afraid to change the timeline or... whatever. For Ozzie's sake, Anubis has already changed the bloody place! Let's leave our own indelible mark on it."

Tu Lee was frowning deeply.

Keiran continued, "And, of course, we would all profit wildly. Sure, let's take on the big bad in his... probably stereotypical, billowing black cloak or whatever. But let's do it on top of a pile o' money and combined resources and then retire to Nzega!"
"...Nzega?"
"Whichever equivalent tropical paradise, then!"
"Kieran, if we choose to 'embed' with the locals, we loose whatever tactical advantage we have over Anubis."
"Fuck it! Better we have a pile o' money and spaceships then a couple handfuls of very fragile surprises. If any of our ships get destroyed, we just lost an entire universe's worth of knowledge."

Tu Lee turned back to the room. "Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this is a terrible idea."
Keiran rolled his eyes.

Resurgence - Briefing Room

Eggman disembarked from his Eggpod as it landed in the shuttle bay. They had offered a shuttle, but Julian hadn't gotten this far in life by trusting others. Now that he was on the good guy team, he should probably rethink that... Oh well, a though for another time. He got off and looked around. It was dark and dingey, compared to his usual ships. He grunted and was met by a soldier. "From the Egg Carrier. Take good care of my baby there, she's worth more than you are." He grinned, petting the soldier on the head, before following him through the ship and to the briefing room. As the door opened, they were met by a strangely proportioned man standing in the doorway. Taking a bow, he began survaying the room for all of the strange people that abounded. "Greetings!" He called. "I am Doctor Julian Ivo Robotnik of the house of Kintobor, but you can call me Dr Eggman, the greatest scientific genius in the world!" He laughed, stepping inside, before taking a bow. He then walked around to his seat, he stopped to stare at Samus. "You know, i have the STRANGEST feeling that i have seen you somewhere before... You're not friends with this annoying blue rodent i know, are you?" He asked. He then waved it off, before taking his seat.

Listening patiently to all of these talks of "Goa'uld" and Anubis and "Universal Anti-body" He nodded and pretended to care about this guy, but he really didn't. "Alright, let me just pipe in here." He said. "Look, we're all Overlanders here..." He then noticed a few aliens in the room. "Most of us are..." He grinned. "Let me just throw in my 2 cents. Me and my crew are on a mission to track down a VERY bad man by the name of Manic, some of you will know, we asked you if you had any knowledge on his whereabouts, none of you did. But may i ask a simple question? Who here is actually well versed in the art of dimensional travel? Like parallel universes, alternate dimensions and Time Travel?" He put his hand up, before waiting to see anyone else put their hand up, he continued. "Second question, who in this room has any Chaos Emeralds with them?" He looked around at the confused faces. "You know, Chaos Emeralds? Jewels containing ultimate power, every Mobius has 7 of them? You may call them Sol Emeralds or 7 Secret Rings or something, point is that there's 7 of them and they've got the ability to break the dimensional barriers. So, here's what i am willing to do for all of you, If anyone can give me all 7 of their ultimate power jewels from their Mobius, then i can use them to send us all home?" He said. "These "Ancients" guys sound like a bunch of cryptic jerks, like the Echidna's and Wizards of my Mobius. Look, they're some guys that found all 7 of their Chaos Emeralds, went Super and got cocky, but again, I can do exactly the same if i had all 7 Emeralds." He put down his own little projector, that started to show pictures of different universes.

"This is me with Doctor Wily. from an alternate universe, great guy, few screws loose and a bit of a bit unimaginative when it comes to plans, but his heart was always in the right place." He clicked for the next slide "This is me with Bowser. Bit of a stalker, but we all have our hang-ups. Also, really great at Tennis, had a hell of a backswing." He then clicked the next slide "Here's me with my evil alternate universe self. My point is, that my credentials speak for themselves, can we agree at this point that i am the foremost expert on inter-dimensional travel here?"

The Glasgow, and The Resurgence

The Glasgow had been currently zipping around their sector of space dropping off crews of infiltrators, and spies to worm their way into whatever groups they could get into, they needed all the information they could get, and Travis didn't doubt that some of the seedier underground groups would have information. Whatever information they could glean would then be passed onto the command, and engineering crew of the ship. Of course they had found out nothing interesting so far, so Travis would be forced to go to the meeting without anything to offer, which didn't bother him so much as that the amount of ships that had joined their group have gone up by a total of four more ships, meaning that whatever brought them here intended to draw this out for the long haul, it was building some sort of ragtag fleet.

He took an escort of two marines with him, and went to the shuttle bay. Travis boarded the shuttle in silence, as his escorts talked among themselves talking about what their new allies would be like, and cracking jokes about some of their allies. Usual soldier banter, but it came to a halt as they entered the hangar of The Resurgence. Exiting their shuttle, and making their way through The Resurgence once more, the group from The Glasgow joined the other groups in the room. Among the new arrivals were three more groups of humans, and a fourth much more robust human being. But he paid attention to none of them, as they took a seat.

The groups began to talk among themselves. They were talking about taking out whatever big bad, from The Daedalus' universe somehow it had made it's way here, perhaps it was the reason why the rest of them were here. Perhaps they were just a ripple of whatever power that being had used to bring itself here, tearing them out of their universes, a matter of sheer chance. But that would mean the technology that brought them here wasn't precise, and he highly doubted that it was sheer chance that had brought them here.

As they discussed fighting Anubis, and emeralds for whatever reason. Travis shook his head. "So we're all united on taking this fight to this Anubis guy... But did anyone bother to get hard targets? Do we even have the resources, the support, and the men for a grand campaign? We're all from other universes, where are we gonna pull on reserves from? Because I doubt our target is just going to show up, without us having to draw him out. So our odds are not looking good." He said, gesturing around the table.

Eri 'Moram - The Resurgence Briefing Room

McKay's explanation did make some degree of sense to Eri, though it hardly improved her mood. If he was correct, then these "Ancients" had stolen them from their universe and deprived Sanghelios of one of its strongest defenders, all to force them to fight a battle they did not want nor care for. Of course, it still all sounded like guesswork, but Eri was not stubborn enough to outright deny the possibility. Whether the crew of the Aegis liked it or not, they were probably going to have to put more trust in the scientists of the other universes than Eri would have preferred. Despite all her efforts these past few days, she had found no other alternatives that they could pursue.

If the situation itself was not enough, one delegate in particular irritated her enough to send her into a low growl. His arrogance made a San'Shyuum seem humble, and his irrelevant rambling felt like it was just wasting their time. She did give the courtesy of at least listening to his words, though that did not much help matters as far as her mood was concerned. She might not have had any semblance of scientific or technical knowledge, but she was still perfectly capable of listening, understanding, and forming her own conclusions based on the information presented to her. Others were ignoring him and considering the notion of working against Anubis, but Eri was not beyond snapping at the arrogant "scientist".

"You, fat man." Eri began, snarling at Eggman. "Did you listen to the Human...McKay, anywhere in your blustering? These...emeralds you speak of, nothing of their description exists in my universe. Galaxy-spanning civilizations rose without them, and did not need them. If they existed in their universe..." She motioned to the Daedalus' delegates. "...then they would have mentioned them. If they were needed to cross to another universe, then these "Ancients" of his universe would have required them. So, we will likely need to solve this without them. If any of your "expertise" does not rely on these power emeralds, then speak. Otherwise, stop irritating me."

Briefing Room aboard the Resurgence

Jason let the others get their pieces said before he finally spoke, addressing the issues that had arisen. First, he turned to the crew of the Second Chance but before he can speak, Kham Rho, who'd started in place of the Supreme Commander and was the ship's resident Head Engineer and lead Scientist, speaks up after reading his datapad for the last several minutes. "You bring up two separate solutions, one which suggests we further break the quantum physics of this version of my home and the other of which suggests that this Anubis, who I just finished reading up on courtesy of the Asgardian on the Daedalus, is the kind to parlay. As the good Colonel and Doctor McKay already explained, he's hard to kill for starters. He's also uninterested in playing nice. Their records from one SG1 Team, McKay, I'm going to need help understanding that bit, indicate if you aren't going to worship him, he just wants you dead. No parlay, no negotiating and, well, part energy? MAYBE ray shields, but we'd have to trick him into getting behind them."

The Cathar steps forward further, his light red fur shining in the lighting and his fingers ending in small black claws. "Now, back to crossing our technology to fix problems in this galaxy that we haven't already fixed. Do you understand the HELL we went through just trying to integrate a class 2 hyperdrive into the Glasgow? We're fucking lucky something didn't turn out to be explosively incompatible. No, as this ship's head engineer, and I'm sure the Solonis's head engineer will agree, I have to say it's too dangerous and unpredictable to be testing on our ships." Jason let the silence after Kham's rant stretch a little before speaking, addressing Eggman, his tone dark and unimpressed.

"From what I understand, Doctor, is that your people had to use these strange emeralds JUST to break atmosphere. None of us need them nor, as Eri'Moram has stated, have even heard of them. She's addressed many of the points I can make, specifically that if all you can contribute is knowledge based around these chaos emeralds, then kindly be quiet and do not speak until your opinion is needed. However, you claim to be a scientist, so perhaps you can learn from the rest of us, perhaps even take home something to help your people. Again, until then, listen and don't speak." Finally, the Glasgow's captain, Travis, brought up the primary concern.

"And so we come to our primary issue, a renewal of our forces. The Separatists I had mentioned earlier, they would have been powerful allies due to their army. It was made of droids and far more readily replenished than the Clones of the Republic, though we were never far behind. With their fall however, I'm forced to suggest an extreme and that's that I lead a portion of the fleet to attack Kamino and attempt to secure cloning equipment. While it will be outdated compared to what we have back home in the Deep Labs, Kham and his team can update it over time and we have the genetic template used for our Phase III clones stored onboard. The only remaining issue at that point would be securing a means for arms and armor."

Second Chance Crew on the Resurgence

Keiran sat bolt upright, a look of fire in his eyes and a smile on his face.

"Sorry, did you say 'cloning equipment'? Because the Commonwealth has a pretty good track record with re-life procedures, and for the right price-"
"Kieran-"
"No, this is exactly what I'm talking about! With a proper industrial base, I'm sure we could add to the knowledge base on cloning - the ship's still got a good chunk of the Unisphere downloaded before the Transferrence, and with-"
"Kieran-!"
"-and with the relife clinic on board-"
"Lieutenant Commander." Tu Lee said quietly. Keiran sat at attention.
"Aye, ma'am."
"You will not offer my ship's resources without my express permission again. Are we clear?"
"Aye, ma'am."

Tu Lee turned back to the group, sighing internally.

"We do have limited cloning technology on board the Second Chance. It was never intended to function on a mass scale, more just as an emergency measure in case of the worst. Regardless, it seems we have two general choices: a recon mission against Anubis, or a mission to secure planetside resources - specifically that cloning facility. I say we go for the recon. No sense in gearing up for a fight if we don't know what we'll be fighting, where we'll be fighting it, or how much of it we need to fight. Not to mention that I don't want to waste the element of surprise while we still have it."

Resurgence Briefing Room-Commander Hammer

This time, Commander Hammer stepped up, stopping both the Supreme Commander and Kham from speaking. "You'd be wasting your time. Palpatine's seat of power is Coruscant, formerly the Heart of the Republic, as both it's capitol and the birthplace of the government. It's also the single greatest and well defended place in the Galaxy right now and every single ship trying to get onto and leave the planet is being heavily scrutinized. Not even an ARC Trooper could get in undetected right now. As for what we're going to be facing," tapping the keys in front of him, the Empire's current generation of ships and troops comes up, along with vehicles, transports, weapons and armors, "that's going to consist primarily of Phase Two Clones, a lot of Venators and a lot of Arquitens-Class light cruisers with fighter compliments similar to ours, though outdated by our standards. The Assimilators are still pretty new, so they'll be dispatched to hot spots and strategically important locations, but I wouldn't count on too many in one place. My guess is that even with this Goa'uld tech in them, enough firepower can still bring one down, so they'll be deployed in a minimum of pairs. Even so, they still have superior numbers on us, and I can give you a rough estimate on exactly how many per soldier they outnumber us by right now."

Jason speaks up before Hammer can continue and continues. "Several hundreds of thousands, if not at least a million, easily. I served in the Clone Wars in my home version of this Universe, lead a Clone Legion when it's Jedi General died in battle. While I agree a scouting mission is prudent, we would be in no position to help a team when, not if, they're discovered by the Empire."

As Samus waited for the meeting to begin, he would be approached by yet another armored figure. She perks her head down to see the figure come up to her, only for his voice to give out his identity.

"When this is done, I've got a couple of bounties for us to take care of. You up for some work?"
Jerus

The bounty hunter nodded in approval before giving a subtle thumbs up.

"Always." she simply responded.

Just then, the doors opened to reveal an oddly-shaped figure enter the briefing room and announce his presence. To everyone else, most would seem to care little for this egocentric egghead, however Samus happened to recognize him. He definitely didn't fit with her universe of intergalactic stragglers and cutthroat pirates, but she had seen and heard of Dr. Robotnik during the legendary Super Smash Tournaments from a certain blue hedgehog back in her day. Finally there was someone that Samus could confidently identify, although granted he'd be the last person she expected to pop out into this universe.

However, she couldn't tell if this was the actual Doctor that she was familiar with, or rather an alternate-universe incarnation. Still, it didn't truly matter as she kept silent and continued to listen in on the meeting. Perhaps if she didn't pay much attention to him he would simply gloss over and ignore her.

But that's when Samus soon found herself locking eye-contact with the very Doctor himself, who seemed to have also caught eye of the bounty hunter's identity as well.

"You know, I have the STRANGEST feeling that I have seen you somewhere before... You're not friends with this annoying blue rodent I know, are you?"
Dr. Robotnik

The bounty hunter's green visor glared towards the Doctor with a silent authority.

"I may know of him." Samus cheekily replied while retaining her blunt expression, "What's it to you, Doc?"

Dr. Robotnik wouldn't say anything more as he proceeded to his seat, leaving Samus to silently listen in on Commander Hammer's briefing for the time being.

Resurgence Meeting Room

@EliteCommander@Zarkun

As the lizard-horse-alien called him fatman, he put up a finger "That's Eggman, but continue." As the creature explained the history of her universe, he nodded. "Well, of course you've never seen them, you're clearly not from Mobius." He snickered, blowing her argument off. "And yes, whole civilizations can rise without their power, it's just, where i come from, the Overlanders took millions of years to evolve into this prime specimen of overlander perfection" he flexed his body a little to emphasize. "But the native Mobians were able to use them to evolve beyond us in merely thousands of years. To put it another way, look at your hands, then look at mine." He said, looking at her hands. "Don't you think you're species would have evolved a little faster if they had 2 extra digits?" He then turned to Jason as he attempted to undermine his point.

"Well, actually, my ship runs on an elemental energy core." He said, pressing a button to bring up schematics of the Egg Carrier. "No Chaos Emeralds needed. Same with my war-machines. Learned from that mistake thanks to that annoying blue rodent" He seethed a little before pressing it and schematics for the Egg Dragoon, Egg Wizard and Egg Emperor flashed by. "Sure, Chaos Emeralds definitely help turn these guys from one trick ponies into unstoppable killing machines, but considering that i'm currently without any, i'd say that my technology is doing well for itself." He then pressed a button to bring up a few flashes of vast machines. "That being said, you are correct in one regard, interdimensional travel is the one thing that eludes me without those Emeralds, or something with the same power output. But, if there's one thing that experience has taught me, it's that every universe has some unlimited energy artifact that can be harnessed." before pressing another button and a hologramic picture of an immense equation that began scrolling down at an immense speed flashed on the screen. "This is the exact equation for breaking the dimensional barrier and passing through safely. Took my Grandpa his entire lifetime to figure out the first part, and i was able to finish it off. "The most important part is this little number down here." He said pointing to a 35 digit number. He then pointed to the Resurgence's captain "You sir, you say you're from this universe? You ever seen anything powerful enough to destroy a planet? Because breaking the dimensional barrier is roughly the same energy. If we can harness anything that can do that, i can send us all home." He said with a big grin "Say what you like about me, I refuse to pretend i'm not the smartest man in the room. Humility gets you no-where in life, kids." He then sat down and listened to Travis talk about gathering up resources for this campagne, he was about to respond when he was cut off by Jason. After he suggested an attack on this "Kamino" place, finally, Eggman was able to pipe up.

"Well, if it ain't Doctor Eggman to the rescue again?" He pulled his trousers up a little to emphasize. "You wanted an army of Robots from those Seperatist guys? Well, it just so happens that armies of Robots are my speciality!" He said with a big grin. "In my youth, when not conquering Mobius, travelling to alternate dimensions, or-" His face soured and scrunched up "Crushing annoying blue rodents and their friends" he ground his teeth whilst saying "I was building armies of Robots." He stood up again and turned on the projector "Yessiree, we've got Robot animals, Regular robots, A few early creations i'm not too proud of..., Swat-Bots, Tank-Bots, Robot Fighters, Robot Masters, Robot Hedgehogs, One-Robot-Armies, Giant Robot Me's, So many fantastic machines!" He laughed maniacally. "Only problem." He pressed a button on it to show them the Egg Carriers robot factory "Egg Carriers factory is designed to maintain her standing crew of 5,000. Making a full army with this limited facility is gonna take time..." He then turned to the Resurgence's Captain again. "So, any giant robot factories around here that we might be able to commandeer? Because if we can, i can pump these things out on the double."

MEETING ROOM // RESURGENCE

As the various peoples discussed what they were going to do the lights flickered. Not just in the meeting room but all over the ship. Everything was affected from navigation down to the electronics that existed within the Spartans armour or the more complicated electronics within the Eris covenant weaponry. "I'm afraid I can't allow you to do that Doctor Robotnik." The figure walked out of the corner where there had previously been no-one, she seemed to neglect the weapons raised at her. The team from the Daedalus reacted first, with Sheppard standing up.

"Elizabeth?"

"Yes, but not your one John." She walked straight through a chair, her body glowing with white light as it passed through before she took a seat at the table.

"You're right on a couple of accounts. Yes, I brought you all here, yes I also brought you all here to deal with Anubis. He can't be beaten by conventional means." She turned to face the crew from the Daedalus directly. "Anubis is far more powerful here than he ever was in our universe. Without the others to keep him in check he's able to use the abilities the same as any other ascended being. With beings already worshiping he seems to be gaining power, the more who worship him the more power he has." She turned to the Eggman again. "He's also anticipated interference from the others, after all, it is due to them that this is evening happening. The only reason he hasn't used his abilities to take over the Galaxy already is because he's shifting a lot of his focus and power to preventing the Others from crossing over. Which is why you were all dragged here without warning, there was no time and I had to act fast." She surveyed the room. "Please take no offence, but your vessels aren't all necessarily the ones that were the intended targets."

She sighed. "The only way for you to get home is to defeat Anubis."

McKay wasn't sure whether he wanted to grin or look sombre at the idea that he was right. The idea that they couldn't get back because of something Anubis was consciously doing made it all the more difficult. Instead, he turned to Eggman. "Doctor I wouldn't call yourself the smartest person in the room when you're struggling with the difference between inter-dimensional and inter-universal travel." He sighed. "Our best way is figuring out between us a way to take on Anubis, and if he's on this fortified world then we need a way to get to him, or lure him out."

Sheppard nodded as he was the next one to speak up. "We can always perform some recon, our jumper cloaks. We can jump in, drop it off and have it fly down the surface with a small ground team to check out the city."

Aboard The Resurgence

Location: Resurgence - Briefing Room.
Star Date: Unknown.
Communications: Everyone present.

Yiithren had been silent up until this point, content to simply watch the atmosphere, members, and conversation of the room shift and morph like some kind of living thing. Many interesting ideas were presented, as well as an explanation of just what they were up against, and possibly the reason why they had all been dragged here in the first place and why they wouldn't be able to leave, but it was the subject of cloning that truly caught his attention. While he didn't know the ins and outs of the process himself, that was a geneticists job after all, Yiithren had witnessed the deployment of cloned and genetically engineered armies before the Council had declared the practice inhumane and ceased any further inquiries down that path, opting for standard machine forms instead.

Which was another possibility that had been brought up by those present. In all honesty, Yiithren did feel bad for those cloned and engineered soldier's who'd lost their lives now, but at the time of their inception into the Empire's ground forces, his view had been much colder.

"Just another way I've changed over the years I suppose." He mused, his gaze flicking from attendee to attendee as he reminisced for a bit before finally deciding to speak his mind as the oval shaped man had done.

"Commander Erthos," Yiithren said, raising a tentacle. "If I may interject for one moment? My people dabbled a bit in cloning and genetic engineering, though we ultimately declared it an inhumane practice and ceased all further studies down that path. In lieu of this we returned to constructing mechanical Warforms, some of which were no bigger than you're average man or woman, and some that towered over even the most grandiose cities our enemies built. While I sincerely doubt we'd reach that level of advancement on our own, I do believe my chief engineer Strevrols can be of great help with the construction of a mechanized army-" Yiithren explained before the sudden flickering of various electronics throughout the ship followed by the appearance of some sort of glowing being gave him pause.

Closing his beak, Yiithren decided that it was best to remain silent for the time being. If everything he'd heard the Daedalus crew explain over the duration of their stay here was accurate, then the female that had just appeared out of thin air was similar in nature to Anubis, but quite clearly opposed to his occupation of this universe as her words soon revealed. Which was good he supposed. Better to have a benevolent being with godlike powers in one's presence, and on one's side, than a malevolent one after all.

Eri 'Moram - The Resurgence Briefing Room

Among the discussion around the table, there was plenty for Eri to consider. She had to open up her datapad to find reference to the planet Kamino, which immediately raised some obvious problems. Kamino was an extragalactic planet, located far beyond the galactic plane within a satellite galaxy called the Rishi Maze. There was no way the Aegis would be able to reach it within any reasonable time without upgrades to its faster-than-light capabilities. Beyond that, Eggman was adding on more reasons for Eri to want to break a few of his bones, but all of those concerns were pushed aside for the moment when another being made its presence known.

Eri's first reaction was to shoot up to her feet, ready for a fight. She stayed her hand from her blade if only because of the reaction of the Daedalus' delegation, though it soon became apparent that she was no one they personally knew either. He was not even Human, as she appeared, but was...something else.

While Eggman's arrogance and general attitude might have irritated Eri, he did not come close to causing the seething anger that this Elizibeth's explanation of events inspired. She was claiming responsibility for stealing them away from their home, and was now demanding their aid to destroy her enemy. Though, towards a being that so obviously outmatched her, Eri did still have enough reason and wisdom within her to temper her display of that anger...by Sangheili standards.

"Why should we help you?" Eri remarked, staring daggers directly at Elizabeth. "'Intended targets' or no, you brought us into a fight that is not ours and are demanding we give our lives for you. You have deprived Sanghelios and its colonies of one of its strongest defenses; how many of my people will die because we are not there to protect them? You speak as if you are better than Anubis, but if that is true, then how do you plan to atone for these sins you have inflicted onto us?"

Elizabeth turned directly to Eri. "Yes." She seemed unmoved by the Sanghellis verbal assault, she had been a diplomat for years after all before running the SGC for a period of time as well as Atlantis. "I plan to atone for my sins, in fact once I return all of you home, I shall too return home and be punished for my actions. For I acted far rasher than any of the Others deems suitable. I can, however, assure you that while I do not know how the coming conflict will end but once it has ended I can return you and your people back to where you were before all of this happened, at the exact same time you left. Except you'll likely be a far better ship when you return as to when you left your home universe."

She looked around the room. "I realise none of this is ideal, however, Anubis presents a very real threat. Not just to the people of my Universe, or this one. If he gathers the resources of this Universe and is left unchecked he will have the power to move from universe to universe conquering one world after the next." She sighed as she hung her head. "Though. Freedom of choice is something I value. Have a vote, should you desire to return home you can build your devices or whatever it is you need and I can distract Anubis long enough for you to escape."

She turned directly to Eri. "I hold no secrets from you, all my cards are on the table. I just ask that you help tackle an impending threat."

Eri 'Moram - The Resurgence Briefing Room

"We shall return with nothing if we are killed fighting your battles. And we do not need a better ship to stomp out the final embers of the Covenant." Eri remarked back with a brief growl. "I do not make this decision for the Immaculate Aegis, but I believe I know my shipmaster well enough to know he will require proof of this. I will concede that the...conclusions you make are logical. If he gains power in this universe through the worship of its people, then there would be no guarantee that he would stop."

Eri leaned in onto the table, not breaking eye contact with Elizabeth. "But all of it relies on believing your word. How would I prove to my shipmaster that Anubis is the manner of being that you describe, and that he can gain power as you say? There are ten thousand warriors on the Immaculate Aegis, and you will find no equal to them in skill and ferocity, but based on what should my shipmaster give their lives to your cause? Faith? You may ask the warriors of the Unbroken Hope, the Sangheili have slaughtered billions based on nothing but faith...and we shall never do so again."
