"It's... Interesting. I've been away from her a couple times." Dia started quietly, "I'm more worried about keeping Ari alone with her... Not for Ray's safety, but Ari's. She's.. Impulsive. The poor thing probably still doesn't understand what happened to her either."

She looked over the cards, moving to mimic picking up the the Three of spades to put it on the four of diamonds; but instead she actually picked up the card- she was startled by it and the card fell through her hand again.
"Whoa!"

Ari hissed at Josh's words. "This wasn't my doing! Do you think I'd want to be Dead?"
Josh rolled his eyes and waved his hand before turning away, "Just stay out of my way if you don't want your fleshbox harmed." He started, moving to walk off slowly, he went to turn a corner- glancing over at Ari before disappearing from her view.

Ari narrowed her eyes angrily, her fists clenching.
"That lying, cheating, backstabbing Traitorous bastard." She hissed towards the way that Josh had walked; she felt her hair prickle before settling slightly.

Sara waited for Marc's reply, shifting her weight between her feet with a bit of a yawn.

Benjamin looked at the card and then at Dia. "That's interesting, I've never seen a ghost do that." By the looks of it Dia was as surprised as he was. There probably was an explanation for this, but it was impossible to figure that out with the limited knowledge he had about spirits and ghosts. Just observing them wasn't enough to really now them.
He put the card on the four and put the next three cards down, but none could be used.
"After this I might draw something, if I can get a pencil from the staff." At least he wasn't classed as dangerous or unstable, so he assumed it wouldn't be a problem.

Marc had given the question some thought. "I'm done with my shift at 3, then we can go to... I don't know, maybe a museum?" He hadn't had the chance to plan anything, this date was being created on the spot, but they needed to do something before it was time for dinner. "And then we can have dinner and I'll bring you back here," he concluded. "If you're up for that."

Dia blinked quietly, "I've never been in contact with something outside of Ray's body!" She exclaimed, almost excitedly. "Ari does it sometimes but I never thought I'd do it!"
She breathed and tried to calm herself down to talk about what Benjamin said.
"I'm sure they'll give you one. They give Ray one and she's classed as dangerous. They just sort of... Watch you a bit more."

Sara tilted her head before she nodded.
"Yeah. That sounds like a great plan!" She said with a smile, "I'm sure I'll be around, so just come grab me once your shifts over and we'll just head on out yeah?"
She didn't need time to get ready, there wasn't anything for her to get ready for, she had no formal clothes, she barely had different outfits; She didn't even have a proper uniform.

Benjamin nodded and continued to play his game. It was intriguing that Dia could touch the card, there had to be a reason for that and he'd love to figure that out. He briefly looked at her, he couldn't imagine how it would be to be somewhere and not be able to do anything. Watching him play a game was probably not very interesting either. The game was a bust anyway, he couldn't move any cards anymore, so he put the cards away again.

"Is there anything you would like to do or is there something you would like me to draw for you?" he asked her. "I can't promise it will be good and I tend to be impressionistic in my style," he added, "I don't know if that's your thing."

"Sure, yeah," Marc said. "I'll pick you up then." He nodded to her and walked away to resume his duties for the day. He couldn't really keep his mind focussed on the mundane things like restocking supplies, but he became focussed when an alarm sounded: one of the patients had an epileptic episode and he rushed to aid her.

Dia gave a warm smile and tilted her head gently. She hummed slightly before she she looked around.
"I'd be happy with any sort of drawing." She said calmly, "And I'm sure your style is good."

She glanced up as she felt a presence enter the room. Her eyes locked onto Josh, quickly looking away back to Benjamin.
"Careful." She uttered quietly to the human, "We may have company."

Sara smiled at Marcs words. She went on with her day as well, not really doing much unless called on by others.
She was called to move a few files around from a couple of the offices to the file room.

She finished that job and looked at her hands for any paper cuts. She looked around slowly with a bit of a yawn.

Benjamin returned the smile when Dia she'd be happy with anything and started to think about what he would draw. When she mentioned the company he looked at Josh. The guy seemed to be one of the staff, judging by his uniform. He looked from him to Dia and back at him, having staff this close meant he couldn't talk with her, but he was certain this guy, like most of the staff, would be on their way soon again.

However, since he did need a pencil, he might as well ask him, so he walked towards him. "Excuse me," he said as he was close enough. "I would like to draw something, but I can't find any pencils. Do you perhaps have one for me?"

Josh had scanned the room, before his eyes locked on Dia and his eyes narrowed. He was about to walk towards her before Benjamin walked up to him.
He heard the question but his brain didn't fully process it first- He almost asked for him to repeat it before he looked around, trying to find a pencil before he moved his hand into a back pocket.

The back pocket was something that not a lot of the other Nurses had, he had build his into his shirt; Probably something he wasn't suppose to do.
He pulled out a small mechanical pencil and handed it over. "I hope this is okay?" He asked with a tilt of his head and a small, almost forced, smile.

Benjamin smiled as he took the pencil. "Yes, thank you. I'll return it to you when I'm done." He turned around and went to an empty table, glancing at Dia as he did to see if she would join him, where in the middle were some sheet of paper of a previous paper folding event. While he had known it was planned he had decided not to join.

While his head faced to the paper, he eyed Josh. There was something different about this nurse, but he couldn't quite tell what it was. Maybe the way he had locked eyes with someone, as if he had recognized someone or something that surprised him. But nothing in the common room was strange, he had seen what everyone was doing. Maybe Josh would go to the patient that had caught his attention now, and Benjamin was curious to see who it was.

Both Josh and Dia seemed to be staring at each other for a moment before Dia moved towards the table where Benjamin went to sit. She gave a bit of a stretch, not that she needed to, but it felt good.

Josh was watching Benjamin and Dia, his eyes narrowed slowly before he moved to lean against the wall of the room. He kept watch over the area, not that he was rostered to do so, but he felt energy here, so he was going to find out where it came from.

"He knows I'm here." Dia finally spoke after a moment of silence, "That Nurse knows I'm here. He looked me straight in the eyes."
She sounded afraid. She was worried. Others didn't know she existed, they shouldn't know she existed.

Benjamin nodded. "I noticed," he said. "I saw how he was looking at you, following you to this table with his eyes." He looked at the empty paper for a moment as he decided what he would draw, and then began with the first line. "We could talk to him," he said with his eyes on the paper as more lines were added, "find out if he sees you like I do, or percieves you in a different way." He glanced at Josh. "But let's keep an eye on him for now."

"Do you think... He'd be on our side?" Dia finally asked after a bit of silence, listening to Benjamin's words. She watched his movements as he started to draw, turning her attention fully to the male now.

Josh's eyes slowly settled back over Dia and Benjamin again, settling on the male with a raised eyebrow.
I wonder if he knows. He started to himself before he closed his eyes again. He focused on the energy around the area, he knew there was something else here. There was an Empath somewhere.
He would find them.

"I have no idea," Benjamin said. He occasionally looked in the male nurse's direction, but kept his eyes on the paper most of the time. Slowly the sketch of two birds flying over a forest emerged and he paused when he realised that. It certainly felt like the right drawing right now. "Open spaces will probably show up in my drawings for the coming time," he sighed. "I find it... therapeutic when I want to go out but can't. This one will be for you though," he looked at Dia and smiled at her. "I'll give it to Ray later."

Hopefully Ray wasn't bored, that was probably the worst part of being here.

Marc had entered the common area and joined Josh, but he watched the patients as he walked over. "Hey there," he said, although his eyes remained on Benjamin for a moment. According to the roster Josh was on the late shift today, the nurse probably had just arrived. "I saw Benjamin was talking to himself again, anything else happened here?" He glanced around, but as far as he could tell none of the other patients showed any uncommon behaviours.

Dia looked at the picture and smiled gently.
"It's beautiful!" She said to Benjamin before she looked up towards Josh and now Marc. Her face twisted into a bit of a scowl. "The other one is here."

Josh almost stepped away from Marc as he stepped near him, he had a strange energy around him- not from him himself, but someone he had been around.
"I've been watching things, nothing to out of the ordinary." He lied, trying to keep his eyes off Dia. "I ran into the other one of the trouble duo on the way here too." He said with a frown.

"I don't think you understand."
Ray looked up from her pillow and looked towards Ari. "I understand fully. I'm just not surprised. That guy gives off a weird energy. And this is coming from a covenborn."
Ari moved to pinch her nose angrily. "No no, I'm saying I know him from when I was alive, he shouldn't be here."
Ray mumbled into her pillow with mild annoyance. She was just over the secluded area, she wasn't allowed to get close to anyone; and it irritated her.

Benjamin looked up when Dia spoke and scowled when he noticed Marc, he did not like that guy. In the short time he had been here he already had a few run-ins with him and so far the only things he had heard from him was about taking his meds and staying away from Ray.
"He's been here since the morning, he'll probably go home soon." He looked at the drinking fountain. "I'm going to drink a bit."

Walking through the common room the passiveness of everything became more apparent. People were doing nothing. Only when patients had an episode of something they broke the general apathy with screaming or jerking or however such an episode manifested itself. How he started to hate this place. He drank some water with his back to the nurses.

"Yes, we have to keep an eye on those two," Marc said, watching Benjamin go to the water fountain. It was good he was keeping hydrated, some patients had to be reminded to drink. It showed that despite his delusions he was still sane enough to take care of his needs.

Dia nodded and watched Benjamin quietly. Her eyes settled back on Marc and Josh again, narrowing a bit more as she locked eyes with Josh for a moment.
She would have to check up on Ari when they got back together, as she knew that Ari would have some feelings about that.

Josh gave a gentle nod, "Yeah." He started, "I have already been told." He almost shut down Marc's statement before he glanced around slowly, looking back to Marc. "Anything else I need to know?"

Sara slunk around a corner, looking around as she made her way to the file rooms. She kept looking around to make sure no one followed or watched her.

When he was no longer thirsty, Benjamin returned to the table he had been sitting. He looked at the drawing, then at Dia, and blew some air through his lips. "Let's go," he said as he picked the drawing up. "This place only makes me miss Simon. I'm glad you're with me, because this place," he made a gesture with his arm to show the common room, "is depressing. Simon may have been hearing things that weren't there, at least he was always happy."

Marc looked at Josh and shook his head. "No, nothing. I'm going to check on Carol, pick up Sara and head out." He took Josh's shoulder. "I have a date tonight," he confided, before letting the man go again and walk away. If it wouldn't be so out of place here he'd start whistling, but Marc didn't give in to the urge.

Dia nodded at Benjamins' words, "That sounds like a plan." She started, "It's sad they don't have calm rooms; with more things to do..." She sighed, looking around slowly. "Where should we go?"

Josh nodded at Marc's words, almost expressionless when he mentioned a date. He didn't care, meddling in human affairs was something he wasn't here for. He watched Dia quietly with narrowed eyes before he moved to leave the common room for a walk.

Sara slunk along more, slowly stopping by the door she wanted and tested the handle, trying to see if it was unlocked.

Benjamin fell silent after Dia asked her question. "I don't know," he said with a bitter tone in his voice. "There isn't any place to go."
He looked at the drawing he had made, wishing for a set of wings of his own so he could leave this place, and then looked at the pencil, suddenly remembering he had to return it. He turned back and walked straight to Josh.
"Thanks," he said, holding the pencil out to him.

Marc went to Carol's room, where the catatonic patients sat in her chair. "I came to see if you need anything," he said, but the woman didn't react to him. Marc let out a disappointed sigh, there still wasn't any sign of improvement. He went to her to make her drink from the cup with the straw and then left the room again, searching for Sara.

Dia silently followed Benjamin, keeping her eyes on Josh as they got closer to him. Josh watched Dia with a narrowed stare, looking towards Benjamin when he offered the pen back.
The Memopath forced a smile and took it back, slipping it into his back pocket. "Not a problem." He said almost flatly, "Just stay out of trouble." He started before he pushed himself off the wall to walk out the door now that more Nurses had arrived, "That goes for the both of you." He said as he walked along.

Josh rounded the corner as he noticed Sara trying to get into one of the file rooms.
"Pretty sure they're locked." He said out loud as he moved towards her, Sara flinched and stepped back slightly, slamming into the door in fear.
"Hey newbie!" She said with a fake grin. Punch him. The voice in her head whispered, Go for the head and then run.
"I, myself, would advise you not to do that." Josh's voice echoed in Sara's head before she continued walking, "I'm heading to the break room."

Sara blinked, unsure what just happened, so was her spirit.
He heard me. It mentioned quietly, Sara nodding with a shocked look on her face, Humans aren't suppose to hear me. I'm in your head.

"He's...an odd nurse," Benjamin said to Dia as he watched Josh leave. "I'm getting strange vibes from him. He's wearing the uniform, but he is different from the others." He wasn't sure how to feel about that, maybe he just had to get to know him first. "What do you think?"
He started walking in another direction than Josh had left in, he didn't care where he went as long as he could walk. Although he felt more for running, but he wasn't sure how the staff would react to that. Most likely they'd ask him to stop.

Marc walked through the building to see where Sara was. He found her standing with her back against the file room door. "Hey there," he said. "I'm ending my shift, so I'll go change and then we can go. If you're up for that." He examined her shocked expression and frowned. "Everything okay with you?"
