Compared to Persephone, Hera has lived a very common life. Born the youngest and the only female in a group of 3 older brothers, Hera found solace in Persephone's friendship, and was, at least in the opinion of Persephone's parents, the only good influence in Persephone's life. She spent most of her childhood staying near Persephone and being the voice of reason for the rebellious teenager.
She first found her love of the internet after posting her first cosplay images online and receiving overwhelming attention. Eventually she became a full blown internet personality, earning her entire paycheck from activities like cosplay, vlogs, donations and the revenue from her videos, especially those that featured Persephone or their pets, Argus, Muninn and Huginn. Though she admittedly only did it for the entertainment, as Persephone and her family had always been willing to keep the Beke family afloat with healthy donations ever since they found out their daughter was friends with her.
When Persephone was hospitalized after the "cult incident" Hera and the entire Beke family was there beside her, mourning the loss of the girl's parents alongside her and pushing for her recovery. A week before Persephone's release however, Hera left for Gravity Falls, her reasons nearly a mystery to even herself. It pained her to leave her best friend, nay girlfreind, alone, but there were people she had to meet, and scores she had to settle.
