"Sure, let me just see how much you have." Sage agreed. Ten percent more his usual buying price wasn't too bad considering it was still saving him money in the long run. Plus he hoped that the man would return and sell furs to him again. He looked over the furs, counting them then went to the front counter to do some calculations. "Okay... so I will pay you this much for all the furs. How does that sound?" He showed the man a paper with all his calculations on it. It was a pretty pricey purchase but Sage was surfe the investment would be worth it.

Jax looked down at the paper scratching his chin he thought about it for a moment, well at least he was pretending to. Soon he brought his arm down and smiled "That seems fair" he stated as Claw looked up growling some and Jax turned to sage, "Where would you like them? My brother wishes to be rid of the harness" he stated as the bird turned it's head looking down before Screeching once more as it tilted it's head and looked over at some sparkling items on clothes. Almost gazing at it in a trance as talon was still after all a bird, and liked shiny objects. Jax could feel Talon as he looked over at what she was staring at and only shook his head, as out of them she was the only one who liked things simply for being shiny.

"Yeah I think I have seen one of those too but could you please leave? I have a lot of customers today and they might think it odd for a thief, a shapeshifter, and... you to be standing around." Alek said with a surprising amount of confidence. He was curious about the stone though and he did want to talk further about it but he wanted his peace back mare than that. It's not that he didn't like the two of them. The strong one had tried to help him and the thief didn't really seem like a bad person but he just wanted to live without excitement and danger where possible.

Both of them had seen the stone - but only somewhere; it was like they had no memories of it, or if they did they had been obliterated. the thief and the shop keep had both answered one of his questions, but the most important one had gone unanswered.

"Ill leave peacefully if you answer my question.... WHERE is here?" he was still holding his ax, his shades still rested on his nose, but as he looked at the others the slid down a fraction revealing the tops of his insect like eyes.

A quick glance behind him through the door behind him showed an empty shop, looking back at the shop keep: "Your customers all have invisibility?"

"They can just go over there." Sage pointed to an empty spot near the sewing machine. He handed the man the money. "You said that he was your brother? Does that mean the hawk is your sister too? And are they shapeshifters?" Sage knew he was being too pushy but he felt excited at the possiblity of meeting others just like him.

As the wolf walked over to the directed spot Jax fallowed after taking the money to unhook him from the harness. Jax looked up at the man and then looked over to Claw "Are you a shapeshifter?" he asked the wolf as it simply turned away and walked towards the door. Jax laughed some as he stood up and looked over to Sage. "no they are my brother and sister in spirit. I am a skin walker and am able to form bonds with the spirits of others. We honestly don't even remember anything before we woke up her six months ago. Though the memory of the first time me and claw met we have regained, thanks to the old tree in the middle of the square." He smiled putting the money into a pocket on the inside of his vest. "We do not yet have the memory of Talon. But we are hoping to make some memories of joy that we may share with the tree to help ease it's suffering." he smiled as the bird screeched flapping it's wings and as he opened the door it took off flight glad to be outside once more as Claw walked out as well. "Good day" Jax said with a nod of his head leaving the shop.

The market square was empty: only to be expected of being up so early. The hooded female was leaning against a wall, hiding in the creeping shadows caused by the morning sun. There was not a soul to be seen. This would be her chance. Slipping the glove of her right hand off again, a cold air swirled around her hand. A small column of icy wind formed right in the middle of the square. It was wide, but not tall. A few seconds later, a pedestal of ice was made. The wind disappeared, and the figure looked down on it. This would be enough to get the attention of a small crowd. Hopefully, that little elf girl she met yesterday will show up. If not, this'll all be for nothing.

It was morning, and Chrysanthemum really didn't feel like getting up. It was summer, after all, and he had spent most of the night sweating and roasting and generally not liking how the only set of pajamas he had was made of wool. Thus, by the time morning came, he was still dead-tired, even slower to react than normal. So slow that the mouse he was going to have for breakfast escaped from his grasp for a full ten minutes inside its cage, before Chrysanthemum promptly gave up and ate a Moonflower instead.

Except flowers and live plants in general weren't that fulfilling, and he simply sighed, and decided that it would be good to get some fresh air. Even though that air would get hot-as-hell later, if yesterday was any indication of the summer weather. Still, taking an early morning walk through Alvaria was nice. The air was still crisp from the night before, and the raven-haired young man could sigh in content at the temperature: just cool enough that it felt fresh. Walking all the way to the market square, he yawned, took a long stretch backwards, and then noticed that it was much colder than expected. Heck, for whatever unknown reason, it felt like winter in that market square.

Oh wait. The unknown reason was known. There was some sort of ice sculpture in the middle of the square. Magic made, most likely.

“Oh,” he said, in a neutral tone, “That's nice.”

He wanted to drink some ice water anyways. Walking up towards the pedestal of ice, Chrysanthemum took out a small pair of pruning scissors, using it to chip away shards and chunks from the pedestal, to eat. Ice water was a luxury during summer, after all.

He won't waste someone's charity.

Now that she had her pedestal, all she had to was wait for a crowd, then she could appear. Hiding in a nearby alley, she-- Wait, who's that freak eating the pedestal? She'd atop him, but now isn't the time for such things. He's not gonna eat it all, is he?? Oh, it doesn't matter. She could make another one, but with what she plans to do, she doesn't need it. Maybe she could get something good out of this situation. Maybe a wallet, or some valuables? Probably not, this guy looks like some sort of fool...

It was very early but Olivier was already up. He was always up at the crack of dawn. No matter how late he went to bed, how much he had to drink the night before (although he rarely drank because he was always busy running the bar at the Inn at night), how much work he did before, or anything else that would cause a normal person to sleep in, Olivier never slept in. It wasn't that he couldn't sleep in, he could, he loved to sleep and if he had the chance he would sleep in everyday but he was in charge of the only Inn in Alvaria. He had to be up early in case a guest needed him, if someone decided to check in this early, to go over records for the Inn, etc. Needless to say he was busy; too busy.
His sister did help out with the Inn, mostly with keeping it clean, serving guests meals, and keeping their guests happy but it still left Olivier with workloads to do. Olivier wished that he could have her help out more or that they got more help for the Inn but with only a few residents who all had jobs of their own and his sister's illness, he was out of luck. He had to do most of the work on his own which left him little to no time to do anything he liked. If anyone ever needed him, they could always bet that he'd be at the Inn. It was rare when he got out.
Today was no exception. Olivier was already absorbed in going over paperwork. He had to order some supplies from nearby towns as well as make sure all the guests who were scheduled to leave today were out on time or he'd have to charge them an extra day. The windows started to ice over and had Olivier not looked up to stretch he would not have noticed it at all. That's strange... he thought seeing the small ice form on the front windows. It was early summer, sure there could be some cooler days since spring had just ended but it still seemed strange. Things had been strange in the town as long as he remembered so maybe this was just another one of many strange events that made this town so unique. He made a mental note to go check it out as soon as he finished the paperwork.

It was rare for Jill to be up early but the encounter she had with the hooded lady had her excited. She still had the small snowflake the woman had given her yesterday. She was surprised that it hadn't melted but at the same time it was a magic snowflake so this fact didn't bother her. She quickly dressed and grabbed herself some bread. Her brother was a fisherman and wasn't making a lot of money right now so they had little food. She wished that he'd at least buy some sweets every now and then. She hated always eating bread, fish, and some veggies like potatoes and carrots.
Her brother was still asleep as she quietly slipped out of the house. She walked up to the townsquare, where she had seen the woman the day before and was greeted with a gush of cold air. “Brr!” Her body started shaking. The sudden change from hot to cold was surprising but she soon forgot about the cold when she saw the ice pedestal. “Whoa!” Jill looked at it from a distance with wide eyes. She noticed a man eating some of the pedestal and giggled.

It was another early morning for Sage but today he was not busy working on a design. Today he was packing up all the furs and leathers he bought from the skinwalker man yesterday. He was going to send them out to be processed so he could use them for new outfits. The man had saved Sage a lot of money by having to send them to get cleaned but he still had to get them processed properly. He lacked the skill and tools to do it himself at the shop.

Adrian had went to bed early. He was used to sleeping during the night and being up in the day now but still felt strange about it. Not many people have ever heard of a daywalker vampire. Adrian wished that he had opened a bar at his winery. He would have loved be a bartender and serve the town their daily drinks. Maybe find a pretty girl in the crowd and enjoy her company and blood for awhile before leaving her somewhere in a diluted dazed state. He would also love to see what his worker, Bri would look like in a cocktail dress. He sighed, turning back to his paperwork. He couldn't do that to Olivier. The Inn was already suffering enough. Adrian seemed to be one of the only ones doing well in the town due to his wine's popularity in other towns. He had more than enough money. “Maybe I'll see about hosting some sort of event soon.” He thought aloud to himself. It might be fun to get the town together.

Sunlight filtering through the windows of the library awakened the man slumped over a large book on one of the tables. Slowly opening his ice-colored eyes only to shield them from the onslaught of light brought by the dawn, the pale, blonde man groaned sleepily and shifted in his chair. After a moment, his eyes adjusted, allowing him to see properly, and he lifted his head, yawning loudly as he stretched. Looking around, he found that his glasses had fallen from his face and were now resting just over the side of the book his face had not just been plastered to. He picked them up gently and examined them, luckily finding no scratches or cracks.
I must have fallen asleep while reading...

True, he had stayed up quite late researching a new lead for one of his theories, but he had no idea he had been so tired as to fall asleep in the middle of it. Although, this wasn't exactly a new thing for him; he had done this several times while pursuing a topic, often staying up all night until he could find an answer to a question or proof for his theories. And often times, he would wake up in the exact same position: With a large book under his head and a slight ache in his back from sleeping in a chair instead of lying down like a normal person. Or at least, he assumed that was how normal people slept. The cat ears on top of his head twitched as he thought this over.
When was the last time I was out of this library?
Standing up to fully stretch out the kink in his back, he decided that today might be a good day to venture outside. Whether he had been out recently or not, his stomach was reminding him how necessary food was again, and he needed to restock. If he went now, he could come back sooner to open the library and possibly return to his research.

So, after placing the glasses back on his face and marking his place in the book, the man readied himself to go out. As he walked out into the sunlight, he found himself needing to take a moment to readjust his eyes to the change in light. Just how long had he been in the library? He would have to take some time in the evening to enjoy the summer weather... Speaking of which, wasn't it a bit cold for summer?

Jax awoke early, as he usually did, and looked around the room he was in. It was simple enough, nothing to fancy as he decided to stay the night in the local inn. Talon was perched on a tall armoire wardrob in the room. The bird's eyes were closed and slowly opened up, just then he opened his mouth. The lingering taste of blood and raw meat was like a ghost since in his mouth, rabbit he thought as it seemed claw found some food. Claw stayed outside, preferring to be outdoors at night where he can see the moon. Soon Talon let out a screech as Jax turned and sat up "I am hungry too sister, and the taste of Claw's late night snack is not helping" he stated as he stood up and walked over to a mirror.

He had washed himself at the bathhouse the day before, even cleaned up his clothes and he looked in the mirror. His body riddled with scars, some new some old. The price of living the way he did. He ran two fingers across a nasty scar running from his left hip to his right chest. Like most of his scars he had no idea how he had gotten it, that was another reason he wasn't to found of regaining his memories, He wasn't sure he wanted to know what covered his body in so many wounds. Getting dressed he pushed back those thoughts as the bird flew down landing on his shoulder as he opened the door. Walking along the halls as he could feel claw near by as the wolf was eager, though they would leave each others sides often while hunting, they always got an uneasy feeling when separated, like a part of them was gone as well. But they could smell food being cooked and that was sure to draw the wolf back.

Claw walked back up to the Inn. That massive wolf pacing and circling the building before stopping, It was like the wolf was trying to figure out if he should go in or not. Sure he felt the eagerness to return to his brother and sister, but at the same time he disliked buildings and being in them. As he paced he walked to the main square, there was a strange person making a block of ice as the massive wolf looked at it. Leaning his head over he watched a human chipping away at it as he walked up. Soon he started to lick it tasting that ice cold water as he then pushed his body up against it, cooling him self off some as those bone spines of his scratched the ice as he walked back and forth rubbing his body on it before shaking to dry him self off a bit. But the smell of cooking food filled his snout and it made his mouth water, soon licking his massive chops as he distracted from that ice block and walked up to the main door of the Inn

. Getting up he managed to push the handle and used his weight to push it open as he fell back onto all fours walking into the Inn. He had left his brother and sister the night before they got to the Inn. Though the place was familiar due to Jax and Talon having been there being familiar with it. They couldn't read each others minds in the literal since, but Knowledge and experience flowed through them.

Sniffing the air the massive wolf growled, going low as he barred his teeth his head turning about trying to find that scent. He could smell the winds of magic, though like them there seemed to be many magical creatures, this was different, this was one who controlled and manipulated those winds so they reeked with magic unlike other creatures, this was a witch. He was filled with anger as he lowered down, growling and snarling as he started to walk through the Inn, fallowing the scent until rounding a corner. That massive beast stared down the Inn Keeper, he didn't know why he was so angry, why the scent of a witch was filling him with a blood rage. But he did know he wanted nothing more then to leave that witch with his throat ripped open, and his entrails spilling across the floor.

Jax and Talon stopped, they could feel the anger of Claw, soon there own blood started to boil with the intensity "witch" he growled out, like Claw something about the word filled him with hatred, His own anger rising influenced by claw. Talon cried out as the eagle was filled with the same rage, soon leaping off of Jax's shoulder and flying down the halls. She was soon in the same room as Claw and the witch. Flying in circles she looked at the witch, ready to swoop down and scratch out his eyes and tear at the flesh of his face. She landed on claw's head spreading out her wings and crying out turning her head glaring at the man. That massive beast of a wolf slowly got closer as he was low ready to strike out at the slightest movement from the witch, the bone spines on his back standing on end as saliva dripped from those rows of sharp teeth.

Jax would of slipped into the wolf, but his eyes were already pale and milky in color as he was using much of his energy to try to suppress the wolf and eagle's instincts. The only reason they haven't attacked yet was Jax's influence keeping them at bay and if he slipped into one of them now the other would attack. Cursing he ran down the halls to get there before he can't hold them back anymore.

Some time had past, and now people were waking up and starting their days. A small group was gathering at her ice pedestal, curious what it was and what it's for. Scanning the crowd, she saw her target: the little elf girl. And she was by herself! Now is the time to act! Slinking past the few people, she stood on the pedestal, letting her stand over the others. Again slipping her right glove off, she waved her arm above her head, and a swirl of tiny snowflakes gently fell over the crowd. Continuing the motion with her arm, she gave a bow. Mutterings went around the crowd, some of awes, mostly of questions, and a common speculation that this was a free show for anyone to see. Giving a pause for dramatic effect, she continued.
To start off small, she held her right arm out in front of her, bent toward her. Then she raised it so her hand pointed toward the sky. Swinging her arm around, a strong, cool breeze blew through the town. Lowering her arm down to her side, she held something in her hand. Taking her other hand to hold it, she threw it up in the air. A ball of white ice flew up, then exploded in air, looking almost like a firework. A gentle snow then began to fall over the square.

Oh wait, now that he thought about it...shaved ice would be even more of a luxury during summer, wouldn't it? And that ice pedestal could make quite a lot of shaved ice bowls, maybe even enough that he could binge on it for a whole day? Or maybe, it'll even be enough for him to get brainfreeze? As he patiently chipped away at the ice pedestal, he realized that it would just be easier to carry it around with him. So instead, Chrysanthemum clipped his pruning scissors onto his belt once more, before rotating his wrists, and preparing to simply lift it up and taking it away.

But before that could happen though, Chrysanthemum realized that a small crowd had eventually gathered, followed by the arrival of some woman who stood up on the pedestal, doing some pretty ice magic for some reason. Looking up at her from below, the young flower shop owner said, in a tone that wasn't even closed to surprised or embarrassed or anything at all, “Good morning. Will you be here all day? I need to buy some fruit jam, to make some shaved ice, and it would be nice if you kept it up.”

For a moment, the blonde man just stood outside the library, a bit confused at the change in temperature. He hadn’t been inside for so long that he had missed the change in seasons, had he? No, the plants were all sporting their summer foliage still. Perhaps a storm? It still didn’t seem right. The clouds didn’t seem to be pushed by any kind of storm winds he had seen, and there was still plenty of sun… In general, only the temperature seemed to agree with that theory. Unable to explain it, he shrugged it off temporarily and began to walk towards the center of town. He planned to go to the bakery, then to the market. There had been a market around here, right? He had thought so…

While he was thinking about it, he began to approach the town square. By the time he had almost reached it, a wind had started to blow through the town, making him shiver a bit. He hadn’t been prepared for that. His ears flattened against his head in response to the wind and he began to wonder if perhaps a storm was on the way after all. He hoped not; it would be terrible luck to finally get outside just to have to go back in to wait out a storm. At the very least, it would be nice to get some food first.

At that moment, he noticed that it was snowing.
But, snow in the summer? How strange!
Indeed, that did not seem like it would be common in a place like this. What could possibly have prompted such an out-of-season event? And while pondering over strange things, what about the crowd up ahead? Had they gathered to discover the source of this phenomenon, or was there something else happening ahead? Curiosity had gotten the best of him, so the cat-eared man approached the group of people to get a better look.

Jill watched the woman's show in awe. "Wow!" she exclaimed, watching the show. She giggled watching the snow fall from the sky, sticking her tounge out to catch some.

Olivier hadn't noticed when the three had entered the Inn. He was still nose-deep in paperwork when he heard a low growl. At first he wondered if it was his own stomach as he hadn't eaten breakfast yet. The next growl was much louder, loud enough to catch the young Inn keeper's attention. He looked up to see a very large wolf staring right at him. Olivier could feel the energy coming off the wolf, and it was bad news for him. The wolf looked ready to kill him. He backed up a bit when the hawk flew into the room too with the same aura. Olivier prepared to defend himself if he needed to be. He wasn't as skilled with magic as his sister was but he knew a thing or two to at least delay an attacker and escape.
Olivier didn't let his eyes off of either animal. He wondered how long this would last before one of them decided to attack. In fact, he was surprised they hadn't attacked him yet. They looked like they were ready to rip him to pieces. Focusing more on the two creatures he picked up on a third energy. Of course, it all made sense. This third party was preventing the two from attacking.

Jax ran through the inn and soon he was turning the corner grabbing wolf by the scruff of his neck. His eyes were dull and milky as he was able to push into the animals more holding them he imposed his will onto them, subding there own free will they both seemed to calm down a bit before turning and walking away. Jax stood up as his eyes stared to shine through once more though he looked like he had some guilt. He hated forcing himself on them like that, but despite how he felt about them, or there more elevated awareness due to his influence on them, they were still animals and would act with out rational thought. He stood up looking to the in keeper as those dull eyes gave way to bright blue. "I'm sorry..." he said, though his tone was rough as he even looked a bit angry. "Your a witch, we can smell it on you." he stated as he took in a deep breath calming him self down. "For some that is driving my brother and sister to blood thirsty rage." he said looking back as they had left the building. He wasn't going to mention that it was also making him angry for some reason. He didn't even know why though, But certain scents, smells and sounds would bring out emotion in them but they didn't know why, the sensations teasing at lost memories. "I fear I don't know why...but now that I am aware of this...reaction I can keep it from escalating this much once more." he stated as he bowed his head "sorry to have bothered you"

Claw and Talon seemed to walk into some kind of winter wonderland. Talon taking flight in to the air and looking down to see the woman standing on the block of ice as the massive beast growled, pushing him self through the crowd of people of people, his paws crunching snow as he made his way to the block of ice and laid down right in front of it.

The bad energy around the two creatures seemed to vanish almost right after the man entered the room. Olivier stood in shock as the man's energy flowed into both the wolf and the hawk. Once he was done the two left the Inn, leaving only Olivier and the strange man alone in the Inn's lobby. "It's alright." Olivier stuttered, trying to regain his professional attitude. "Animals can sense things most people cannot. This isn't the first time an animal has acted like that towards me." Olivier had that effect on animals. His sister seemed to have the opposite effect, being able to calm them down. The wolf and hawk seemed to be differnet than most creatures, not only for their size but for their unique auras. Surely this man and those two were something Olivier had not come across before. He wanted to question the man on his calling the wolf and hawk his brother and sister but he decided to leave the matter be. It didn't seem like something he wanted to get involved in anyways.

Jax looked out the window sensing the...winter? odd but soon the witch spoke and his eyes snapped to him quickly as his brow furled, it was clear that he was angry but he soon pushed it down though he didn't smile hearing the man's words "Maybe, but Animals are usually better judges of character then people. If it is not common for animals to trust you, I would say you are not to be trusted" He stated it very mater of factually and with a little bite to his voice. He didn't quite get this hatred towards him right now, the other night when he got a room he had no problem...it was something about a witch, some lost memory. "I will need to check out of my room" he stated as after this incident he simply wanted to be gone from the place, and away from the witch. At least until he can remember why this emotion was stirred, and to let the others know that it has nothing to do with the man before him. That was the worse part about this memory loss, taste and smells fill them with emotion, but instead of recalling the memory it simply frustrated and angered them.

It seemed she had drawn the attention of those around her. The idiot that was eating her ice seemed to think of her as some sort of vendor just giving away free ice and asked for some sort of dish. At this point, she would just walk away from this stupidity, but that would be quite awkward given all eyes are on her. The show alone is pushing her limits. As a way for him to (hopefully) go away, she grabbed the air again and threw something down, then raising her hand to catch a ball of white ice, similar to the one she had used for her first trick. Turning to face the boy, she held the ball out and tossed it to him. Now is her next trick.
This time, she held her right arm straight out. Slowly, she waved it up and down, and a cool breeze was emitted from this action. Ice had started forming on her hand as it grew longer, moving from her hand to the air. Detaching from her arm, she began to move it with her hand. The ice moved in sync with her hand, bobbing up and down and even doing something like a dance. She lowered her hand, which made it go into the crowd. It weaved back and forth between the bodies, making its way to the girl. It went up and around the girl as it climbed toward the sky again.
With a moment's glance, she saw a large wolf had laid down in front of her small stage. A normal wolf wouldn't just roam in town, so it must belong to somebody strong. This could pose a problem. She'll have to wrap things up. Fast.
