UNSC Unbroken Hope

1910 Hours, April 22nd 2550 (Military Calendar) /
Unknown system, Unknown sector.

Marcus Oliver, Security Team One and Mark Bradford / Unbroken Hope Bridge / Interacting with: @Sep
--------------------

The Chief Engineer grinned, striding over and tapping away at the center console before the holographic image changed to a 3D projection of the Marathon-class ship. Tapping a few more panels, the entire lower and middle stern and aft sections let up a brilliant red to display where there grid was located and subsequently lead out from- essentially right in the very room they were standing in. "Right 'ere. However if these changes are internal to support the shields, I'll have to power down the engines as well as the drive and redirect power to critical subsystems. Don't want anyone gettin' fried or without life support obviously. We'll be sittin' ducks for awhile- hope that's no bother. An'- just so you're aware, this central room feeds right into the Drive. It's stationed a little lower down; there's a maintenance hatch that goes into that room should any changes need to be made."

Sentinel 1-1 / Jedi Temple / Interacting with: @Sep

Leon gave a grim smile. These fuckers fell easily to their conventional weaponry, like gunning down Innies. However, the large explosion diverted his attention momentarily to the troopers, and hearing the Sheppard scream out in retreat, he knew these soldiers were trouble. "All units, fall back to extract! MOVE!" Leon had his team began to ease up on cover fire to break cover and run to regroup with the lead elements as he himself side-armed his pistol in the direction of the four hostiles and continually laid down cover fire while running to meet up with the others. He couldn't believe what the lead was saying over the radio, having to take four nuclear warheads to kill these guys was insane. "You're kidding right? What the hell are those things?!"

Samus went over the specifications again as Jerus explained what exactly was being shown. While she didn't understand the Aurebesh text, it was clear as to what was being shown. Jerus mentioned these particular enhancements to be originally utilized for Kaleeshi warrior, mostly regarding their masks and armor. One thing which caught the bounty huntress' eye happened to be schematics for a specialized piece of armor, one which - according to the images and gifs provided - could absorb limited amounts of energy from blaster bolts and from what appeared to be energy blades. Samus recalled seeing a very similar weapon utilized by Jerus from their first mission aboard the Imperial Venator Cruiser, but didn't mention it aloud.

Thaz also seemed interested in the materials being presented on the datapad.

"Yes, they do look promising," the armored huntress replied as she placed the pad down, "But I'll need a translation module for this language implanted into my helmet so I can decipher the rest of what's written here."

Jerus Je'and-Prancing Nexu, Nar Shaddaa

"Honestly, it would probably be faster to teach you how to read Aurabesh then have to make another gadget, but we'll talk to the eggheads back at the fleet when we're done here. As for a copy, that decision rests with Samus, she's the one it was handed to." Jerus takes another sip of his whiskey and pulls up his datapad as he waits, reading over something else while they wait. "And surprise, surprise, the Exchange boss who's lackeys we just dusted has already put up a job for a counter attack on our employer. Must be a hell of a rivalry."

Jerius "Mando" Wren-Tomb of Freedan Nadd, Dxun

Eri hadn't moved but three steps before she found herself flung back against the wall alongside the clone and the beam rifle sliced in two in a single stroke. "Do you think I'm so arrogant and confident in my now deceased pet that I would not observe the weapons and tactics you used to best it? Please, even the Jedi were never that foolish. Still," he remains in a more relaxed position as the pair pick themselves up, "killing it was an impressive achievement, even amongst us Sith." As Jerius prepared to dash forwards with his jetpack and exchange blows with the Sith with her Beskad again, the man turns and walks away.

"You're an interesting bunch, and I'm sure my master would love to learn of your existence, so for now, I'm going to let you live." The stasis on the rest of Eri's team abruptly ends, sending those who'd been moving fowards when locked down to fall on their faces and Jarraj to properly attempt to doctor his leg. "Feel free to inform those Ordo buffons that my master and I are leaving when you take them the Tarantetek's head." And like that, he was gone, seeming to vanish into the shadows. Removing his helmet, Jerius spits some blood onto the floor.

"Of all the things to run into in this tomb, a Dar'jetii...Supreme Commander Erthos needs to be warned."

Thaz - Nar Shaddaa

Thaz hummed a moment. “Don’t sound so hard to me. Just add another language to your helmet’s translator. You, uh, do got one of those, right? Mine does. Translates all the languages it recognizes. Written ones too. Need to get this, uh, Aurabesh added to it.”

Thaz paused to quickly finish off her drink. The whole time, she had been guarding her drink jealously as if someone had wanted to steal it, and drank as if she had been on a time limit. “Sounds like you two need tech. This place, this galaxy, I don’t know…it just feels like the tech here don’t do the things it should. There’s huge ships, powerful lasers, complicated machines like those droids. But then, there’s easy things that are just a lot harder than they should be. It all feels strange. Anyways, point is, you two do seem like you can make the credits my shipmaster needs. He’ll trade them for our technology, and the help to get it working for you. Biggest question is what you think you could need?”

Eri 'Moram - Dxun

The disappearance of the Jedi was not enough for Eri. She let out a growl and gripped her blade all the more tightly as her eyes scanned the room. “Stay alert! I want him found, and I want his head!”

As they were once again able to move, most of her team spread out across the room with eyes on their motion trackers, though they did not move out of one another’s sight. Even in the darkened tomb, the low-light vision provided by their combat harnesses gave them clear visibility, and their motion trackers did give a chance of determining their opponent’s direction of escape. However, given how dangerous he had obviously been, they would only engage him as a group.

“Was he not a Jedi? His weapon and abilities were like that of Jerus.” Eri asked as she moved to look down one of the corridors.

Thaz seemed to be surprised that Samus had a difficult time

“Don’t sound so hard to me. Just add another language to your helmet’s translator. You, uh, do got one of those, right? Mine does. Translates all the languages it recognizes. Written ones too. Need to get this, uh, Aurabesh added to it.”
Thaz

"My helmet does for the languages of my universe," Samus replied back as she shifted through her helmet's control out of pure curiosity, "But as far as this universe is concerned, it has no record of this 'Aurabesh' on it. It'll need to be added manually through a code or chip of some kind... ugh, if I had contact with the Chozo right now maybe they would have a simpler idea."

Jerus however didn't seem to believe that was necessary.

“Honestly, it would probably be faster to teach you how to read Aurabesh then have to make another gadget, but we'll talk to the eggheads back at the fleet when we're done here."
Jerus Je

The bounty huntress nodded in agreement before Jerus reminded her about Thaz wanting a copy of the datapad. She leaned down to her partner and gave her the OK.

"I'll transfer the data onto my ship and give you a copy there." she answered accordingly as she adjusted her helmet back to default.

Thaz would once again begin talking about the two possibly needing better tech and mentioning how she and her faction could help with it.

...Point is, you two do seem like you can make the credits my shipmaster needs. He’ll trade them for our technology, and the help to get it working for you. Biggest question is what you think you could need?”
Thaz

But it was all stuff that Samus had heard before.

"I've not yet seen what you or the others possess technologically," the huntress replied bluntly as she glanced at her arm cannon, "However if I believe that what you show me will be useful, then I will let you know of what I'd want. To better elaborate; anything revolving around auxiliary power for my suit, alternate weapon options for my cannon, and~"

Before she could finish that last part, Jerus would interrupt them with another particular issue that just rose up.

“And surprise, surprise, the Exchange boss who's lackeys we just dusted has already put up a job for a counter attack on our employer. Must be a hell of a rivalry."
Jerus Je

Samus stopped as she leaned in to get a better look at the datapad.

"So soon?" she asked taken a bit by surprise, "What does he want us to do now?"

Jedi Temple - Coruscant Team 1

The team of soldiers managed to bring down the guy with the laser sword, but something seemed to have shocked Sheppard into running, and whatever makes hardened warriors flee, was enough to make Sarah, and Imura follow suit. "This is the jedi temple ground team, we need immediate evac. We have a new contact. It seems to have our allies spooked, so we need it now, not later." Sarah shouted into her radio, running after the other soldiers Imura hot on her tail. The familiar voice of Adrian filled her headset. "Glasgow copies, shuttle en route. Out." With that done and over with Sarah shouted over to the other teams. "Evac is on it's way let's get to the LZ." And kicked herself into a dead sprint for their destination.

The shuttle must of been circling the temple as it did not take much time for it to set down, the door slid open, and the door gunner began to fire his HMG so the team could climb aboard. Imura climbed on, Sarah followed. "Sheppard said nothing short of a nuke would be able to take those out, makes me wish we brought a Cain Launcher." Imura said, with a light chuckle. Sarah shook her head. "We'd have caused way too much damage. Wouldn't of been worth it." She retorted.

As the members of the other two teams got aboard the shuttle lifted off, and left. "Take us around the city a bit, lets make sure we aren't being tailed." Sarah ordered, the pilot merely nodded affirmative, and began a long indirect path around the city.

Bank Team- Coruscant Team 2

As Chris went through the streets, he made contact with his team at a lift. Here were civilians going about their business. Including some odd aliens with head tails who seemed to be talking in their own language. With weapons stowed the group chatted quietly among themselves. Then Chris heard the familiar hum of those damn drop ship engines buzzing by the lift. He turned inwards as it scanned the lift with a search light. "You there turn around, and identify yourself." Came the pilots voice over a loud speaker. As he turned around knowing that he, and his team were about to die, and take these innocent civilians with them he raised his hands. "Don't shoot!" He shouted. "There's civilians in here, let them go first." The pilot spoke again. "Taking hostages eh? We don't negotiate with terrorists. Blast them!" Before Chris could do anything, before he could even shout to get down there was a loud. boom. As a missile impacted right under the drop ships wing. Sending it careening into the depths.

As their shuttle drove past, and landed at a platform right near the lift the pilots voice filled their radio. "Sorry we're late Decker. But we brought some launchers with us, get aboard, and we'll lock onto the signal of Mayhem squad, and get them out of here." As they departed the lift, and boarded the shuttle it rose into the sky. Sure enough Mayhem squad was causing some troubles for the local garrison as well. The shuttle touched down right behind them. The door gunner on the shuttle suppressing whatever clones that were still standing. "Heard you needed a lift Mayhem!" Decker shouted over the din of the engines, waiting for the other team to board the shuttle.

Falul ‘Taham - The Immaculate Aegis

Falul had both his immediate goal, and his intentions for how he would shape the battle before him. The Empire had brought to bear a large force to take this world, including some of their most powerful ships. Even with the Aegis and the reinforcements from the fleet, they still might have seemed outmatched. However, their enemy had no way of knowing of their full capabilities, nor the strategies which they were capable of employing. Perhaps that would change over the course of their war, but in this moment, for this battle, Falul intended to show that Anubis’ Empire was not invincible.

In response to Yiithren, Falul broadcast not only to the Va, but to the Daedalus and the Separatist fleet they were assisting. “I want all available capital weapons to fire on this point, on this Star Destroyer.” Falul ordered. He had no issue with delivering orders to the Separatists with all of the confidence and decisiveness as if he had been commanding them for years, despite them only being allies of circumstance. Whether they obeyed him or not, Falul intended to see to it that the Assimilator Star Destroyer that he was targeting was vaporized. The target he had broadcast to his allies was a section of the Assimilator that did not contain any real structural weakpoints, nor important systems. In most situations it would be a terrible point to target, but Falul reasoned that such a poor target would also be unlikely to have the strongest section of shields. Once the shield was breached and the Daedalus could transport in a nuclear device, then it would not matter where it was placed.

Aboard The Va

"Understood," Yiithren said, sending out the order through the ship. "Use the null void beam, like last time."

If he had learned anything from their previous encounters, eating through the ships shields was their best course of action. After just blowing it up that is. Watching the space beyond the viewport as his crew went about manning their various stations, he saw it become illuminated with a translucent purple beam that arced through the void, streaking its way towards the lead ship.

USAF DAEDALUS
SUPPORTING THE IMMACULATE AEGIS

The ship shook as a stray shot bounced on the shield. "Shields holding sir." Caldwell nodded as he continued to look at the technical readouts of the battle that was unfolding before them. Long-range was already picking up a couple of smaller ships, likely their allies coming to aide them.

"Sir, picking up transmission."

"On Screen."

An alien creature took up the screen, and from what little information he had gathered from Falul before they had made the jump into hyperspace this individual appeared to be the leader of the Separatist fleet. "Unknown allies. While I appreciate your assistance in this matter, you would do well to remember who-"

Caldwell grimaced and turned to Marks. "Marks, open a channel back. Same frequency."

"Yes, Sir."

Caldwell pressed the comm button when Marks nodded towards him. "Colonel Caldwell here aboard the USAF Daedalus. I know you're all high and mighty, but this isn't time to get bogged down in rank. The Shipmaster fired the first shot, and has the most powerful ship here and the greatest understanding of what is going on. If you want to survive do as he says, if not we'll be on our way. If you choose to stay we can discuss all this afterwards. Caldwell out." He let go of the key as he turned his chair to Marks as the light cruisers of the Imperial fleet broke off moving towards their fleet, obviously aiming to get in among their formation.

"XO, bring us up to max thrust we're going to engage those light cruisers. Weps, target the closest cruiser and ensure you have a sensor lock on the ship that the Aegis marked." The Daedalus spun, doing a loop over to the other side of the Aegis in a manner befitting a much smaller ship.

The Separatist leader continued to speak as fire lanced out from the Separatist vessels, bombers and fighters poured out of the ships as they began exchanging fire with the Imperials. "Shipmaster, our ships capable of targetting the vessel you indicated are beginning to do so. I have also ordered the fleet to move in on your position, if your ship can handle it I am prepared to transfer control over our droids to you. Since the shutdown order was sent out I am manually broadcasting a control signal from my vessel."

Caldwell hit his comms button, hearing the plan while he was looking over the composition of the enemy fleet. "Shipmaster, don't you still have the UNSC A.I aboard? Would it be able to control them?"

DOCTOR RODNEY MCKAY
IMMACULATE AEGIS

Rodney's earpiece crackled with the idea Caldwell was sending over to the Immaculate Aegis. Throwing down his datapad that was focused on the slipspace borer, much to the chagrin of an sangheili that gave him a look that scared him a little bit. He shouted up to Falul in the command chair. "Your ship should be able to handle the extra data input, so long as Isaac is tied directly into the communications array and given enough processing power to run the commands."

COL SHEPPARD
JEDI TEMPLE

Sheppard looked over his back as he fired uselessly towards the Kull Warriors. Shouting back at his allies. "It's a long story, they're basically zombies with impervious armour." He grabbed another grenade out of his vest and tossed it as the troopers raised their right arms, pointing them at them as blaster bolts lanced out. The Clones between the two groups were gunned down as the Kulls didn't care what was in between them and their target.

Sheppard fell back, following the path out that the operatives from the Glasgow must have taken. When he climbed into the shuttle with the rest of the team he turned to Wilkes. "My ships still at the insertion point. I need to get back too it. Trust me when this comes to an air superiority fight, we'll need the firepower."

TEYLA
ALDERAAN

Teyla bowed her head after her fellow ambassadors had already spoken. "I am Teyla Emmagan of the house Tegan. Like the others here I am not from here, I am from a world called Athos."

Falul 'Taham - The Immaculate Aegis

Falul did not reply to McKay directly, but he did spare just a moment to think on his suggestion. The Aegis did have ample communications infrastructure for the task, as it was designed to be able to coordinate entire planetary invasions, though he was still naturally distrustful of these machines. However, their enemy was numerous and powerful, and this was not a battle they were guaranteed to win by any means. They would need to exploit any advantages they could gain.

Falul opened the communications interface to his ship’s AI, which, in this case, would also be contacting Isaac. Though, he had little doubt that the AI was keeping up with what was happening. “If you believe you can controls these machines, AI, then do it.” He agreed. The machines of this local fleet had performed poorly in the battle thusfar, and they seemed to have little tactical ability. In all of his experiences fighting with, and against, Human forces of his own universe, he could admit that they were well-coordinated.

Meanwhile, in the battle itself, the lead Assimilator’s shields fell even more quickly than Falul had expected, directly because of the Blathriin-Va’s contributions. Falul had been aware of the basics of the ship’s design, based on the information they had shared to one another. He was aware that it was built with advanced technology, and that it had weapons intended to be effective against energy shielding. However, that knowledge had not communicated exactly how effective it would be. It was able to breach the chield of the Assimilator, even before the Aegis’ energy projector was finished charging. Acting quickly, Falul ordered the primary weapon be re-targeted to the central structure of the now-unshielded ship. The Assimilator was built with far better armor than the Venators surrounding it, but the energy projector was a weapon that could glass planets. Without its shields protecting it, the beam carved straight through the ship. Its structure held together better than the Venators and was not completely torn apart by secondary explosions, but it was crippled and vulnerable. Already, turbolasers from the Separatist fleet were barraging the hull, and the Aegis had launched a volley of plasma torpedoes to finish it off.

“Withhold your nuclear device, Colonel.” Falul said quickly, switching his active communications channel to both the Daedalus and Blathriin-Va. “We can destroy this one quickly enough ourselves. If the Blathriin-Va can pierce their shields so quickly, then my new orders are for your two ships to work in tandem. Target the other Assimilators. The Blathriin-Va shall pierce their shields, and the Daedalus shall quickly transport a nuclear device aboard to destroy them. The rest of our fleet shall support you, defend your ships, and focus fire when possible to attempt to overwhelm the shields of any Assimilator you are not currently targeting. If we can destroy their greatest threats quickly enough, then we may turn the battle to our advantage.”

Falul moved to the holographic display of the ongoing battle and began using the holograms to begin plotting out ship positions and maneuvers, not only of his own vessel, but of the Separatist fleet as well. The Aegis was deep within their formation, so the Imperials had, thusfar, had difficulty focusing on specific portions of his ship’s shields from a distance. His lack of communication with the droid fleet had prevented him from applying any complex strategies or maneuvers with them, but now that Isaac was in control of the droids, Falul could have those maneuvers executed precisely. He could move his own ship more aggressively, which would be needed if he wanted to preserve as many allied ships as possible. The Imperial fleet had already destroyed several Separatist ships, and if they could not turn the tide quickly enough, then there would be no allies left for them to save.

Soon enough, Falul presented his battle plan to Isaac. “Bring the ships under your command into this formation. Prioritize the ships with the strongest remaining shields in front.” He ordered. For this situation, Falul was using his best defensive tactics. The remainder of the fleet would move into a tighter formation, surrounding the Aegis on all sides. Vessels with the strongest remaining shields would start in the front, then, as they took damage, would start to maneuver around and behind the Aegis for cover to lift pressure from them and allow them to recover their own shields. The Aegis would take its turn absorbing the damage, before another set of ships took their places at the front. The precisely coordinated formation, constantly maneuvering and re-positioning in and among themselves, was intended to get the most out of every bit of shield strength they had. Covenant shields were fast-charging, and with a fleet entirely of Covenant ships, these maneuvers could make it quite difficult for the enemy to place enough focus on any individual section of shielding to break through to the hull. Falul recognized that the shields of the Separatist ships would not charge as quickly, and so the strategy would not remain effective for as long, but it would still buy the most time and preserve the most allied ships.

“Captain Yiithren, the Imperials will identify your ship as a priority target.” Falul warned. “Use my vessel for protection. Expose yourself only when needed to deplete the enemy shields. Do not concern yourself with applying any follow-up damage to the hull. Just keep your ship intact.”

Yiithren - Aboard The Va

@EliteCommander

The Cantharian captain nodded as Falul's communications flowed through the Va's internal com systems, like water pouring into a vast reservoir. Looking over at Kurqruik, he issued several commands in his native tongue to reposition the ship behind the Aegis while the beam recharged. Once this was done, and the null void beam finally replenished, the Va moved out from behind the Aegis just long enough to get a clean lock on another one of the approaching Assimilator's.

"Steady," Yiithren said, studying a pair of displays floating off to his left. "Fire on my mark in three... two... one..."

He halted his count, waiting for just the right moment, one that presented itself seconds later as the displays off to his left flashed green, indicating they had a lock on the enemy craft.

"Fire!" Yiithren yelled, watching as the same purple beam from earlier arced out across the void, bathing all ships in the surrounding area in a soft violet glow as it rammed into the enemies shields.

"Now move us back behind the Aegis and let the others take over the assault," he said as the ship quickly shifted to the left, the primary viewport quickly becoming obscured by the bulk of the Aegis itself.

Jerius "Mando" Wren-Tomb of Freedan Nadd, Dxun

The clone's response wasn't immediate as he remained where the Sith had thrown him, his breathing labored. After a moment, however, he managed to both respond and struggle to his feet. "No, Eri'Moram, he was not. Dar'jetii is the Mandalorian term for the Jedi's most prominant enemy, the Sith." He began limping towards the Tarantetek, his beskad in hand. "They are powerful wielders of the Dark Side of the Force, as well as skilled duelists." Passing one of the Unggoy, he rests his other hand on the alien's shoulder. "Your team is wasting their time searching for him, he used a cloaking technique common to both Sith Assassins and Jedi Shadows."

Setting down to the task of removing the beast's head. After a couple of moments, he gasped sharply and set down the blade, leaning against a nearby wall. "Haar'chak, but that toss did more damage than I thought it did..." He looks to Eri and gestures to the dead abomination. "I've done half the job, mind finishing?"

Jason Erthos-Organa Spaceport, Alderaan

There was no immediate response to the group's claims, the guards barely moved and the Star Barrier warriors only movement was to brace themselves more securely. The tension hung in the air for several minutes as the Scorch Guard and the nearby Clone Marines slowly drew their weapons in case a firefight broke out and the group needed to be evacuated quickly. Fortunately, Bail didn't give that a chance to happen. "So then Master Yoda's intuition was correct." Jason narrows his eyes.

"Master Yoda? Just Master Yoda?" The leader of house Organa nods before signalling the guards to stand down, though they only relaxed, no one's weapons moved too far from a ready to fight position.

"He was unsure of the exact source of impending aid, but he sensed that we would soon have new allies of our own against Palpatine and his new ally." Despite his experience working with Jedi during the Clone Wars, he was still...skeptical of what he was hearing. "Though we had naturally assumed that this aid would come from Wild Space, or maybe even the Unknown Regions." Jason's frown only deepens as Bail continues speaking.

"Reasonable ideas, all things considered, but...what about Obi-Wan? Was Master Kenobi not with him?" The Senator's solemn face says it all, but he speaks anyways.

"Master Kenobi fell fighting against the traitor Sheev Palpatine while Master Yoda went to speak reason to Anakin. His loss is...strongly felt."

Jerus Je'and-Prancing Nexu, Nar Shaddaa

"No, no, not the person we just did a job for, the person who the job was targeted at. The Exchange boss is already calling for someone to hit against Godda's own lieutenants, but there aren't many bounty hunters with sense crazy enough to go after the Cartel in their own turf, and we're not about to take a job against the guy who's about to give us our payouts. We'll keep an eye on this feud though, the main Exchange bosses are going to make sure Mardna learns a lesson about overstepping her authority if she doesn't slow down. That'll be a good payout." He turns as a Weequay walks in a makes his way to the table, looking around before taking a seat with the trio.

"Word travels fast and the word is that you three took out Mardna's lieutenants without any issue and so close together, she thinks it was one of the Assassin's guilds. So, in appreciation, Godda doubled the pay and offers the services of this droid for your future endeavors." A clearly refurbished, updated and customized BX series Commando droid walked out.

"Greetings, I am D-05E, refurbished BX Commando Droid. You are Jerus Je'and, correct?" The man nods. "You have been registered as my new master, though I was informed to tell you to enter these other two as masters as well when we're able. My primary functions as an espionage and assassination unit, however, I was given access to a numerous number of Protocol Droid languages without their prohibited translation routines."

"So in other words, we find it, you know it, you'll translate it for us." The droid nods. "Well, that's helpful." I think.

XO Kol'Zife-Engaging Imperial Ships in Unknown Sector of Space

The Resurgence, as Falul did what he knew how to do, did what it did best and had it's fighters fly interception as the bombers made runs on the Venators. Being of an outdated model and with outdated parts compared to the newer versions of ships hitting it, they could do little against them. Kol'Zife opened a channel to the rest of the fleet. "We've got boarding pods and L/AATs full of troops ready to board and capture, but before we try it, we need to cripple an Assimilator if we can."

Mayhem Squad-Walkways of Coruscant, Heart of the Republic

Mayhem wasted no time, Meteor launching another grenade to scatter a group of upcoming reinforcements before leaping aboard with the rest of the squad. Once they were all on board, and the shuttle had made for the Glasgow's bay, Erin counted down on her fingers from five before nodding to the team's resident Zabrak explosive maniac. Pulling out a detonator, he spins it twice before slamming down on the trigger.

At first, nothing happens, leaving the N7 soldiers to wonder what that was about, but then the L/AATs chasing them begin falling out of the sky and the Mayhem Squad captain grins. "Keyed EMP weapons, similar to droid poppers and Ion grenades. Fortunately, the tech era being behind us, making sure anything our groups had went unaffected was easy. Plus, there's now 72 hours for the siphon programs that we left behind to continue working before it's noticed they're there."

Eri ‘Moram - Dxun

Eri paused where she was, giving a quick look up and down the weakened Human. His armor was unbroken, but his movements betrayed his injuries. She turned her head towards one of the Sangheili of her team and motioned to Jerius. “Zlas, treat him.” She ordered before moving to the corpse of the Tarentatek.

As instructed, one of the Sangheili approached Jerius, presumably Zlas. They all wore full helms with black armor of the same design, so they were all quite difficult to distinguish from one another, apart from Eri. Reaching to a small module on his back, Zlas produced a small, grey disk with a few glowing lights. Even at a first glance, the object looked quite different from any Covenant technology he might have seen thusfar. Zlas activated it and dropped it on the ground, causing it to project a glowing blue, spherical shield all around them. It seemed to have ‘panels’ of energy in hexagon shapes, and was mostly transparent. “Remain still. The energy of this shield has healing properties for those within. Even the Humans who reverse-engineered it do not understand why, but it is significant enough to help.” Zlas explained.

Once the Sangheili had placed down the shield, Jarraj limped in as well, letting out a long, relieved sigh as he sat himself down on the floor next to Jerius. Eri, meanwhile, got to work on cleaving the Tarentatek’s head from its body with her energy sword. Its hide did resist energy, but it still could be cut.

Vael ‘Virisusai - Alderaan

Vael did not know of many of the names that were spoken around him. The fact that Erthos was immediately familiar with not only those that Lord Organa mentioned, but others that he brought up in addition, implied that they were individuals of importance within this universe. In any case, the fact that they were at least indirectly expected was as strange as it was useful. Their fleet should still be unknown to the galaxy as a whole. There was just one conclusion he could draw, based on the information he had been given about this universe, and its more strange facets.

“These people you speak of, they are Jedi, yes? I do not yet know much of this universe or its people, but I have been told of them multiple times. I have gathered that they are an important part of this galaxy. I can see their power is likely genuine, if they have predicted our arrival, but…what do you know of Palpatine’s ally, Lord Organa?” Vael asked.

Thaz - Nar Shaddaa

Thaz was always excited to receive extra payment. Indeed, that aspect of the news was quite welcome, but she was not as outwardly enthusiastic to get her claws on the droid as she had been for Samus’ schematics. It took her a few moments to look over the droid, with a particular eye towards any damage that might reduce its value.

Thaz gave a short, somewhat high-pitched vocalization before glancing over at Jerus. “Probably best this thing stays on your ship. Sangheili don’t always like thinking machines. Some don’t trust them.”

Egg Carrier

As the Fleet entered the system, they immediately bore witness to the Separatist fleet desperately failing to outmaneuver the far more advanced vessels closing on them. "Alright, let's give our friends over there some assistance." Eggman ordered through the comms. "Have the fighters cover the Separatist Capital Ships, i'm going to take the Bosses and see if we can't take out one of the larger ships." He said. "Jack, Oglivie, come with me." He said as the Egg Emperor, Egg Wizard and Egg Wyvern launched from the underbelly of the Egg Carrier. Wave after wave of the unmanned drone fighters launched from the top deck, rushing towards the Separatist ships, engaging their fighters as they attempted to target the Separatists vital systems. Eggmans fighters were good, but the Imperial pilots were equal. Immediate dog-fights breaking out causing losses on both sides as the homing lasers on the Egg-Fighters proved difficult for the Imperials to evade, but the Egg-Fighters were simply incapable of outsmarting the Imperials, formerly Republic, Aces.

Onboard the Egg Carrier's bridge, Koffal had already began transmitting to the Separatists that they were there to assist, sending them his high level clearance codes as a Brood Alpha.

The Egg-Boss' were already engaging several of the larger fighter groups. As fighters dove towards them in the classic Imperial Attack Tunnel formation, Egg Wizard twirled its staff, A large block of ice forming in front of it, the fighters veered wildly to avoid, whilst several fell prey to the intense speed and cutting edge of Egg Wyvern's laser-wings

"We've got boarding pods and L/AATs full of troops ready to board and capture, but before we try it, we need to cripple an Assimilator if we can." Came over the comms.

"You want an opening?" Eggman asked. "Boys, let's show him how the Egg Boss' make an opening." As the Emperor rushed to the front with a few swings of the lance, creating energy waves that cut through several fighters, he then launched a barrage of missiles from the missile rack on the back to cover their escape. Emperor, Wizard and Wyvern set off at max speed towards one of the Assimilators. As the Boss' approached on the scanners of the Assimilator, they felt reasonably safe inside of their powerful shields, their main guns focussing on the fleeing Separatists. Their confidence proved to be very well founded as the Emperor's Lance drove head-long into the shield and simply glanced straight off of the powerful energy field. Jack and the Egg Wizard then smashed straight into the shield and the Wizard pressed a palm to it as Electrical sparks began to fizzle all along the shielding unit.

"Oglivie, these shields are something else, i can make a gap for you, but it's only going to be for a few seconds. You'll need to get out by yourself." Jack said through the comm.

"Do it, me and the team will be fine." He replied. As the Egg Wizard drove it's staff into the shield and Jacks eyes began to glow, pressing his palm into the console. The sparks fizzled and a ring of magical energy appeared around the staff's tip and across the glowing energy field, expanding more and more. The ships crew wasn't blind to this goings on as one of the main batteries turned away from their former target to draw a bead on the Egg Wizard.

"GO NOW!!!" Jack yelled as the circle reached its apex. The Wyvern blasted through at full pelt, tucking the wings into its body. The circle collapsed as the cannon fired a salvo at the Egg Wizard, Egg Emperor smashing into the side of Wizard to force it out of the way of the cannon-fire, Jack dropping his spell as he was shook about. They then gained some distance. Wyvern now found itself stuck within the energy shields, like a bee inside of the keepers suit, but by itself wasn't going to be much more than target practice as the AA guns already took aim and started to pound the Egg-Boss. Oglivie quickly manuevered the Wyvern down to the hull of the ship, near the command tower and the head buried its face in the metal, it's powerful lazer-cutter jaws biting into a relatively small part of the hull, tearing pieces off of it. The AA fire against the Wyvern ceasing as it's destruction there would cause immeasurable damage to the ship itself and they were clearly going for a boarding action, an action that they were confident in the failure of with their superior soldiers. Also, the opportunity to capture this metal beast intact was not lost on them. The Wyvern curled its wings into its body to lower its profile as much as it could, before finally using its head as a battering ram to smash straight into the hole that it had just made with its jaws, "Oglivie, it's all up to you now. Take out its shields and then get out of there." Jack called over the comm.

"Roger" He replied, as the head punched straight into a corridor that quickly locked down due to its now exposure to space. Oglivie jumped out of the cock-pit with a pair of Metal Sonics. Oglivies arm transformed into a machine-gun as he quickly scouted the area "Come on, you two, we've got to hit the shield generator, then the other 2 can take it out easily." He ordered. The Metal Sonics floated over to one of the doors and one of them punched its clawed hand straight through the door controls as it began to hack its way through the door controls.

Alderaan

"Thank you." She replied to Jason "I will try to keep that in mind." As they flew in for a landing, the conversations died down and the utter beauty of the lush world. "It's... It's like the pictures of Mobius before Eggman..." Sonia's jaw dropped.

"Indeed." the pressing matter became making a good first impression. As Lord Organa came to greet them with his entourage, the pair of girls bowed down. "Greetings, Lord Organa, i am K'Tari, Daughter of Gord and member of the Council of Mystics."

"And i am Sonia Acorn, Princess of Mobius, Second Child of King Sonic and Queen Sally, Guardian of the Realm and Protector of the Chaos Emeralds." Sonia announced. As Bail talked with Jason, the pair stood in silence. Finally, they began talking about this "Master Yoda" character and K'Tari's ears pricked up. Sonia grabbed her arm and looked her in the eyes, telling her that now was not the time to ask. She knew that K'Tari was always on the lookout for new mystics to broaden her own array of mysticraft. As Vael butted in, Sonia decided to step forward to back him up. "If... Master Yoda's prediction is correct and that we will be of help, then the first thing we require to be of assistance is information on this monster. Any information you can give us will be useful."

UNSC Unbroken Hope

1910 Hours, April 22nd 2550 (Military Calendar) /
Unknown system, Unknown sector.

--------------------
Issac & Team Omicron / Immaculate Ageis Bridge / Interacting with: @EliteCommander
--------------------

The throaty voice of the ship-master rang out far too loud for his liking, but the hologram nonetheless responded in kind to the Sangheili Commander. "On it, Shipmaster!" It felt weird hearing those words leave his mouth, but the whole goddamn setting was weird in itself. Nonetheless, he got to work. Connecting to the subsystems of the Separatist ships, Issac soon found himself interfacing with the Droid Control Modules of each of the three ships. He'd leave most of the weapons control to the ships in operation; instead focusing on grouping each of the Droid Fighters into their own units. To an extent, he felt each of the droids as an extension of himself; their basic autonomous functions being overridden mid-flight as Issac remotely hijacked the entire compliment that the ships had at their disposal. These things obviously relied on quantity over quality, but there was no doubt that the weapons and maneuverability they possessed would ultimately come in handy in defeating the 'Imperial' ships.

A direct assault would be the most beneficial, but Issac would certainly lose the greatest number of fighters to the point defenses. However, the AI had a plan with his new droid army. Assessing the weaponry of each one, he made the decision to perform repeated slingshot-style attacks on the starfighters using the droid fighters, and the weapons and exposed subsystems of the Imperial ships. Vulture Droids would take the lead; skillfully weaving between weapons fire as they swarmed around the Imperial starfighters like moths to a light until the target was destroyed. Then, they'd pull back to the safety of the Ageis in order for their weapons and shields to recharge. During this time, the Hyena-class Bombers, Tri-fighters and HMG Gunships would close in rapidly to deploy their payloads en-masse; targeting the turbolasers point defenses and critical subsystems of any ship within viable targeting range, then turning tail and pulling back to the Ageis as the fighters returned to the battle to engage the recuperating Imperial starfighters once more.

Sentinel 1-1 / Above the Jedi Jedi Temple / Interacting with: @Sep
---------------------

As Leon and his men boarded the transports, he looked directly at Sheppard. "The hell was that thing? Some sort of Humanoid version of a Hunter?" Leon sighed, shaking his head. He was at least appreciative of his team's abilities to hold their own in a firefight not of their universe.

ANUBIS

Anubis walked through the corridors of the senate building flanked by Kull Warriors. People moved to the side, some recognizing him and moving out of respect bowing their heads as they did so. Others moved with the raw stench of fear, and defiance, radiating from them. It was obvious that as of yet his power was not complete, there were still those who looked to defy him. Those who would not come to accept his power. He took a left onto a small hover platform at the edge of the senate. As he walked in the lights in the room dimmed, he cast out his influence and cut out the speakers. There was a murmur of chaos erupting throughout the senate until he spoke, his platform hovering above that of Palpatine's.

"Silence."

It took a second, silence spread throughout the room as fear washed through the room like a tidal wave. While most of the beings in this room had heard of Anubis since his arrival, barely any of them had seen him. A hologram of Alderaan appeared in the senate as in orbit of the planet parsecs away an Assimilator dropped out of hyperspace. It didn't communicate, it merely sat. "I have come to understand some speak of dissent. Rebellion. An unwillingness to follow. I understand."

He indicated towards Palpatine. "This pretender has misguided you for years, betrayed you as he controlled both sides of a war to bring dissent and terror to the Galaxy. A war that many will continue to feel for generations, a plot for control and to kill the Jedi. I am not a feeble man such as him." He raised a hand as Palpatine was lifted from the pedestal seemingly lifeless. "You all serve me now, and the glory of your God Anubis is one that you shall all accept." On the hologram, a storm could be seen brewing on Alderaan, on the entire planet. "My power is not of your Jedi or Sith but of a true God. Behold-" He raised both hands as the hologram continued to show the rapid storm building on Alderaan. "A show of my power, for any who doubt you may travel to this world of Alderaan yourselves for one day. Then the might of my power will destroy the planet. I need no ships or weapons to pull off such a feat. This is my power, accept me into your hearts and I shall be a merciful God, a death with me in your hearts leads to a glorious afterlife. Defy me, and you shall burn for all eternity."

As the lights came back on Anubis was gone, and the body of Palpatine lay limp and lifeless.

USAF DAEDALUS

As the shields of the Assimilator fell it was blown apart from the inside by a nuclear detonation. As it was ripped apart leaving them with five of the new ships to deal with one of the ships entered hyperspace for an unknown location. The debris from the broken apart ship spread out, colliding with nearby ships. Two of the remaining Venators were destroyed by the debris alone. The odds were looking better and better as time went on. As the Resurgence mentioned boarding operations Caldwell shook his head slightly. With the sheer number of fighters out there, any boarding operation would suffer heavy losses.

Caldwell hit his comm button, hopping onto the battlenet that they had established throughout the fleet. "Resurgence, Daedalus. If you gather all your boarding parties in one place, tell me where they are aboard your ship and what enemy ship you want them to go on and where I can beam your people aboard. It'll be safer than sending them across in landing craft. End Message"

The Daedalus turned on its X Axis as it pulled up in a spiral over the top of the Aegis as laser fire continued to pepper it from the incoming fleet. There was a strange noise before a figure appeared on the bridge, an Imperial Officer however instead of the Imperial or Republic insignia upon his lapel it was that of Anubis. A hologram. "Earth Ship Daedalus. My master wishes to meet, head to Lothal in two days time. He will meet you there." Then the hologram vanished as the enemy fleet stopped firing. The Venators with their hyperdrives turned around slowly before making the jump to lightspeed, whereas the Assimilators simply opened hyperspace windows and they were gone. Debris littered the space as the ships vanished from sight.

Coruscant

Sheppard turned to the marines as the shuttle turned around heading back towards the temple. "It's too much to get into now, they're called Kull Warriors. They're basically undead super soldiers in nigh indestructable armour-" As the door to the shuttle opened with them low enough to the ground he tapped his radio to speak so that they could hear them. "I'll meet you back on the Glasgow. I'm going to hop in the Jumper and fly escort."

Alderaan

As the overbearing presence crashed down on Alderaan and the storm clouds began to brew Teyla fell to her knees. The concentrated will of Anubis overpowering her. She had known for some time now of her potential to interact with beings psychically but she had never experienced a mind such as this. She groaned in pain as others either looked to her or too the skies as the winds began to pick up. Rain started to pour and in the distance lightning could be seen striking everything in sight.

Falul 'Taham - The Immaculate Aegis

Evidently, the rapid destruction of two ships in the most powerful class that the Imperial navy possessed was enough to force the Imperial commander to rethink the battle. Falul would have preferred the chance to deal even greater damage to the Imperial fleet, but he supposed he could accept this as a victory. Had the battle gone on to its end, Falul would not have been able to guarantee victory, and it would have led to even greater losses for the Separatists. Falul preserved as many of their ships as he could, but they still had losses just as the Empire did.

In any case, this battle still carried with it a statement. Two Assimilator-class Star Destroyers had been reduced to debris. One was breaking apart in flames from a combination of plasma damage and turbolaser fire, while the other had been blasted apart far more violently by a nuclear detonation. If these ships were symbols of the Empire’s “invincible” might, then the image on his view screen was exactly what the galaxy needed to see. Even if Falul did not spread it himself, those among the Separatist fleet had just experienced what was, to them, practically a miracle. They had, at the very last minute before the battle, received aid from an unknown source that had been able to ward off an attack from an Imperial fleet which had been, thusfar, unstoppable. Not only that, but their own droids had started to perform much more effectively under the direct control of Isaac.

“Remain on alert, the enemy may yet return.” Falul broadcast to the whole fleet. The shields of the Aegis had not been breached, but there were Separatist ships with visible damage. “Damage report. Do any ships require imminent repairs or evacuation?” He asked.

Egg Carrier

As Oglivie and his Metal Sonics finished cutting through the door, they suddenly stopped as one of the Metal Sonics turned to him. "MASSIVE ENERGY BUILD-UP IN POWER GRID DETECTED. SUSPECTED JUMP ENGINES COMING ONLINE!!!" It said.

"EVERY TIME!!!" Oglivie roared, punching the door and leaving a dent with the metal, clawed fingers of his armour. "Retreat, we can't fight all of them." He groaned, as they floated back towards the Egg-Wyvern and landing in the cockpit. The large neck pulled out and, spreading its wings, it blasted off, it immediately took AA-Fire, but it's laser emitters in the wings immediately fired back, leaving a trail of destruction across the hull. Superficial damage, but it made Oglivie feel a little better as it flew straight through the shields and the ship left.

"Good to see you made it out!" Jack replied.

"Yeah, but i had a chance to do what i do best and, once again, they escape. I've torn hell through battleships before. I just need the chance!!!" Oglivie grunted. "Let's get back and assess the damage, Wyvern's taken a couple of hits."

"If you've damaged my baby, you're going to wish i still killed people..." Came the angry voice of Eggman over the comms.

****

Aboard the bridge, Koffal continued to talk over the comm with the Separatist Captain. He finally finished and turned to Thunderbolt, before saying something in Geonosian. "What...?" She asked. He repeated the series of purs, clicks and gutteral clucks. "Look, i don't speek... PPPPPPHHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTT!!!" She blew a loud raspberry at him.

"Taking... Shuttle... Going... To allies... Droid... Inspect... Queen..." He motioned to the egg.

"Ummm..." She looked at the panel and pressed a button. "Go. Their medics will know more about it than we do." She groaned. Koffal walked towards one of the tubes that descended into the floor.

Aldaraan

As T'Kari stood back a little bit from the group, she suddenly felt something roll down her cheek. She wiped it off to see a tear... Strange, then she felt it on the other side as well. "Wha..." She looked up to see the large storm. "In the name of Light Gaia..." She whispered. "Someone... Someone is here..." She said, tears now pouring down her face, but a determined look. "Such evil... I have not felt since the return of Dark Gaia..." She then saw Teyla fall over. The rains started to pour and the tears on her face were lost. "Lord Organa... Prepare to evacuate your people... This is an evil beyond anything I or the Council have ever dealt with. And what we dealt with was going to tear our planet to shreds. I have no doubt this will do the same." She said, sullenly.

Jerius "Mando" Wren-Tomb of Freedan Nadd, Dxun

Jerius could feel the damage inflicted lessening, but he doubted that the full force of it would be healed with the device alone. "Vor entye, thank you." He didn't speak again until the sound of Eri's energy sword coming out on the other side of the neck could be heard, at which point he forced himself up, which was still grimace earning at this point. "And with our trophy claimed, we should return to Clan Ordo's chief. She'll be eager to see we succeeded."

Jerus Je'and-Prancing Nexu, Nar Shaddaa

Jerus nods to Thaz, but still frowns when he looks at the droid. However, rather than addressing the problem on his mind right then, he turned to the Weequay. "So your boss is satisfied then? Job's done and we can find our next contract?" Forda nodded, pulling up a datapad and handing it to the man with the Beskar armor.

"Contacts, as was agreed between us, Je'and. I don't know where you're from or what clan raised you, but efficiency like you three pulled off today is going to be highly sought after. Just remember the most important rule in the underworld; N-" Jerus cuts him off.

"Never work for both sides back to back; I know. See ya around, Forda."

"Stay alive, Je'and." The Weequay turned and left the way he'd come while the droid remained standing at Jerus's side. Eventually, after taking a hearty swig of his drink, the Bounty Hunter faced it.

"And now to figure out how the hell I'm going to get the Supreme Commander to let you on board..."

XO Kol'Zife-Unknown Sector of Space

The sudden disappearance of all the surviving Imperial Ships left the Twi'lek incredibly confused, but before he can make contact with the rest of the fleet, Anubis's broadcast is picked up and displayed on the bridge. Palpatine's corpse was most definitely real and all the members of the Resurgence could do was stare. After a moment, Kol'Zife re-established contact with the others. "XO Kol'Zife to the fleet, you need to see this." As soon as he received permission from the various ship leaders, he broadcast it to all of them.

Jason Erthos-Organa Spaceport, Alderaan

Jason watched the suddenness of the storm and turned to address his companions as Teyla fell to the ground and then Sonia's aid spoke, he felt a sinking in his stomach. Bail, on the other hand, laughed. "Hardly some great evil, I assure you. Storms are not uncommon this time-" One of his aids rushes to his side and whispers in his ear and the House Head's gentle smile became a solemn frown. "You're sure of this?" The aid nods and whispers again. Sending him away, Bail faces his guests, the frown having been made a grimace. "It would seem Palpatine's new ally has run out of usefulness for the traitor and killed him.

He seems to have proven this by a public display of the body and a declaration that he is a true God and that those who worship him will be spared. I...this storm is his work, as your companions have shown. He intends to make an example of us. I've already ordered word be sent to the other houses and my people have received word that there are ships on their way to evacuate who we can. We'll have to continue this discussion later." As the Senator and his guards head out, the Star Barrier men and women stay put, though they have relaxed. Some, in fact, were making calls to families while others talked quietly to themselves. Jason, disbelief on his face, turned to face his allies.

"This...feels eerily familiar. We must aid to the best of our abilities if we can. Trust me when I say that they are getting a better chance to survive than Alderaan did for me."

Samus almost burst a chuckle over the explanation. Indeed, not even she was stupid or greedy enough to go for a counter-mission against their own employer, even with all of her armor and weapons on hand. She may feel powerful in her suit, but by all means she wasn't invincible. And with little clue as to what other forms of technology existed in this universe, it was best for her to not find out.

Nevertheless, their prize for helping out was a repurposed BX Commando Droid who was specialized in translating a plethora or different languages as well as assassinating and sneaking around. It may not have sounded useful to Jerus himself, but Samus already felt a little relieved about its capabilities. If she needed something to be translated, this droid will be able to do it. And its combat style and purposed seemed eerily similar to her own.

Perfect.

Samus would then turn to Jerus.

"This sounds like my kind of droid." she jokingly replied before asking, "Either way, what's our next course of action, Jerus? Do we head back to the fleet or is there another mission you have in mind?"
