So, this whole sheet has been a long time in the works, but I am willing to work on it. Unfortunately, some of his stats will not have a clear explanation without some back story, but the interview didn't seem the right place to put that. Anyways, here he is!
Standing at 2 meters tall with broad shoulders and well defined muscle, Zhâlu has deep crimson hued skin with glowing orange eyes, dark red hair and a single scar crossing his right eye. He bears many prominent features of the Sith Pureblood, most prominently his slightly ridged eyebrows and chin tentacles as well as the slight claws for fingernails. However, the humanity in him shows most in his hands, being five fingered instead of three.
While trained in a number of Dark Side techniques to great skill, including Force Choke and Lightning, he has both been forbidden from using them by the Council and forbidden himself from using them, as it would detract from his journey as a member of the Jedi Order. Skills that pertain to his position as a Jedi Padawan and future Knight are as follows:
During his time in the Sith Academy on Dromund Kaas and Korriban, Zhâlu was put through trials of survival, often left with little more than the clothes on his back, his training blade, and the power of the Force. The predators of these worlds are dangerous and the flora not much less so. Simply put, survival in the wilderness became second nature for the young Pureblood and he can identify most edible plants on sight alone.
He’s also learned how to cook these items, though most of his peers in both Jedi and Sith order would say the dishes could be better, but still aren’t bad.
It is clear that during his time as a Sith, his training was focused on Juyo and how to use it with his choice of a saberstaff over one or two single bladed weapons. This training has continued within the Order, but it had been noticed that he’s begun forming his own off-shoot of the form, combining the use of both sides of the staff and only one, while also incorporating Jar’Kai movements as well. He was able to provide records of battles he partook in prior to the Sacking of Coruscant and prior to his joining the Jedi Order, showing his skill in lightsaber combat against fellow lightsaber wielders.
Form VII Juyo: Advanced
Jar’Kai: Intermediate
Having switched sides, his only political influence anywhere is incredibly negative, as most Jedi and Republic Troopers believe that most of what he says is a lie.
None
Despite his previous affiliation with the Sith Empire and his natural disposition to the Dark Side due to his being a Sith Pureblood, Zhâlu is shown to keep his emotional state in check and resists the temptation to use the dark powers he was taught by his Sith teachers. Regardless, despite his standing with the Order as a Padawan for several years, he is known to let emotions affect some of his decisions if they are strong enough.
Known Flaws
Suspected
Has shown great interest in expanding his knowledge of the Light Side of the Force, specifically healing.
Escaped the Empire to join the Jedi
Purification of a tainted Kyber Crystal
Helped detain a rogue Sith Lord during a scouting mission in which his unit was discovered.
Lashed out against Jedi Master Terin Kern in frustration, severing his hand.
Struck out in anger against a Padawan who persisted in trying to draw a reaction from him.
Killed an unarmed Sith Apprentice during an interrogation after giving in to the apprentice’s taunting
Has failed the Knight Trials twice.
How long do you usually write?
One paragraph or less
One to two paragraphs
Several paragraphs
All of the above, depending on the meat from the previous post.
Do you enjoy writing collaborative posts for things like conversations, combat, etc.? Immensely, though in combat I will sometimes get a touch overzealous and land blows I shouldn’t. I try to reign that in.
Is grammar and depth of writing important to you?
Indeed, though grammar is above all. Depth of writing means nothing if I can read your first sentence and cringe every other word.
Are there any writing subjects you particularly enjoy exploring?
Not specific ones. I write to enjoy writing, even though I don’t always write a lot.
Is there anything you really dislike and want to avoid like the plague?
Not off the top of my head, but I’m sure it’ll come though.
Is there something you are uncomfortable with happening to your character?
Nothing so long as I can have some foreshadowing and/or warning from the perpetrator. Surprises can be fun too, but no “SURPRISE! You’re dead” please.
Do you have any short-term or long-term goals with this character?
Jedi Master, savior of...someone, maybe a fellow Pureblood, we’ll see how things pan out. A Battlemaster or Exotic Weapons Specialist would be good as well, though, which is up in the air.

List and description of known and suspected flaws. Access Restricted.
Known Flaws
- Emotional-Despite a strong sense of morality and claiming true loyalty to the new life he has chosen, he has emotional outbursts that stem from his nature as a Pureblood.
- Aggressive-Reprieve for friend and foe is unlikely when he takes the field and he often becomes overly aggressive during combat and training as well.
- Torn-While he has greatly enjoyed his time with the Jedi, he is still a Sith Pureblood who’s species is slowly dying out. That knowledge alone often haunts him at the worst times, including during an important mission.
Suspected
- Driven by Anger-With so many Jedi so strongly against his joining the Order, some Masters suspect that he allows his anger to help him focus, anger at the mistrust placed on him even after purifying his lightsaber crystal
- Lustful-Knights and Masters have seen him give members of the Order of opposite gender strange looks and suspect he may be lusting after them, despite the Jedi Code.
- Self-Doubting-Despite all his other suspected flaws, a choice few members of both the Order and the Jedi High Council suspect that he doubts his ability to stay true to the path of the Jedi because of who he is.
known interests of the force-user.
Has shown great interest in expanding his knowledge of the Light Side of the Force, specifically healing.
Notes on skillset specialization, if applicable.
I write this report after watching the Pureblood train for a few days. He possesses many of the skills necessary to become a Battlemaster and, given time and training, could learn those he’s missing. His only failing is his temper, but I trust that will get better with time.
Major achievements on record.
Escaped the Empire to join the Jedi
Purification of a tainted Kyber Crystal
Helped detain a rogue Sith Lord during a scouting mission in which his unit was discovered.
Major failures on record. Confidential.

Struck out in anger against a Padawan who persisted in trying to draw a reaction from him.
Killed an unarmed Sith Apprentice during an interrogation after giving in to the apprentice’s taunting
Has failed the Knight Trials twice.
”I understand that many members of the Order have...reservations about my becoming a Knight. Many feel that my purified crystal was taken from another Jedi I’d killed, even though two members of the High Council and a Jedi Shadow observed me as I purified it.
I suppose joining the Order two months before the Sacking didn’t help my credibility any, but I couldn’t wait any longer. You see, I was on Kashyyk, my former master and I were stationed there after the Republic had been forced off and so the resistance from the Wookiess was still incredibly strong, especially since Republic Black Ops teams were infiltrating the planet with little resistance from the Empire’s fleet in orbit, as the early days of an occupation aren’t easy. Our job was simple enough, hunt down rebels and force them to surrender or make examples of them and their families.
The most common form of this example was public execution; starting with the youngest and ending with the oldest, depending on which Sith Lord was overseeing it. My former Master, however, only ever started and stopped with the young, making their families sit through the executions and then sparing them just before the executioner’s ax reached them, letting them live with what they’d seen and, in many cases, with the knowledge that they had outlived children who had their whole lives ahead of them. It...even my men were bothered by it and they had served under the Sith Lords for most of their lives. I started questioning everything I’d been taught the more I saw him do it. ‘Why?’ I’d ask after each ‘exhibition.’ ‘Why kill the children?’ To some degree, I understood as the children would grow up rebellious and predisposed to cause trouble, not just for the Empire, but potentially in their classes and work places.
Eventually, however, I started to see that that sentiment grew in them anyways if we merely executed the adults as well. At first their views were swayed, more readily convinced to blame the Republic’s stupid refusal to let go of the world and incite rebellion as the reason their parents or friends were dead. But the early days of the Occupation didn’t last forever and eventually, the Empire could no longer blame the Republic, as they officially disavowed any remaining special forces and black ops teams still on the planet. But the brutality continued, and in some cases, worsened. My former master only grew more brutal with every new cell that was flushed out in his governage, sometimes displaying their mutilated remains where the whole settlement could see them to remind the residents of what future awaited those who disobeyed. But for a long time, there were only adult bodies and, despite my instincts telling me otherwise. Then he started sending unarmed dissidents into the Shadowlands, ranging anywhere from Wookies who’d lived for a couple hundred years already to children barely old enough to begin learning their customs. After 12 hours, he’d send teams of troopers to check on them and began displaying the remains they’d find, often including the children.” He sighs. “Needless to say, as none of the other Lords spoke out against him, I began to understand that the things my teachers in the Sith Academy were meant for times like that, to take in the fear and hate the acts inspired and grow stronger.”
Zhâlu shifted slightly in his seat. “I only grew more ashamed, both at the lack of honor and discretion I saw and eventually, the lack of some kind of moral compass. So I sought out the Jedi and began the long process of joining them. The process...I’m not convinced it’s ever going to end, even after I attain the rank of Knight.” Another sigh can be heard. “Perhaps it never will be that the bulk of the Order believes I’m no longer a Sith, but I will never stop trying to prove I am truly Jedi. What the Empire is doing is wrong, and I refuse to let them keep doing it, whatever that may take.”
