Is the past tense of Yeet "Yeeted" or "Yote"?

Discuss.

Think of it like the word 'smite.'

When you smite someone, they are smitten. But if you smite someone in the past tense, you smote them.

Therefore, I argue that the correct term is 'yote,' but that one who has been yote is yeeten.

Although "Yeeted" is already in common usage.

Neat, Neaten, Neatened.

Yeet, Yeeted, Yeetened.
