Theresa Sparks and Frederick Flynn

Location: Outside the Palace
Skills: N/A

"Ray calm down alright? Everything's fine, yelling about it isn't going to change anything. What's happened happened, and you just have to deal with it," Sparky said softly to him, walking over to stand next to him. She knew that he was worried more or less over M-Pox and everything, but she remained optimistic that everything would be alright in the end. After all, maybe the Inhumans knew of a way to stop the M-Pox, or to get rid of it in some way. That certainly would be helpful in the long run.

"I wasn't going to punch him, I was only warning him that everyone else had expressed the urge to punch him, so for once I'm not the one wanting to just punch someone," Flynn said with a shrug after a few people decided to say no to punching Oliver right now. Sure, he wouldn't be against punching Oliver for that whole thing if someone asked him to, but everyone made mistakes. He wasn't going to hold that sort of thing against him. Though if it turned out someone did get sick or whatever, then that might have dire consequences.

Sparky wasn't too sure about everything when Crystal mentioned that Black Bolt, the supposed king of the Inhumans, was dead. That wasn't a good thing, and now she was wondering how recent his death was. Since if it was because of what happened that destroyed Attilan, then that would be very recent, and that whatever happened here was more then a bit concerning. "Let's get going then," she said, giving Raynor a slight smile, before she started heading off the ship and following after the others.

Flynn glanced over towards Bonnie, seeing that she was carrying the cat around with her. Sure, Goose was an alien that probably could eat their brains, but the fact that they had a cat with them at all was more then a bit strange, but clearly Crystal didn't think that. Though she called him a Flerken, which wasn't exactly something he had heard of before, but he figured that it probably was the race of alien that the cat was. Goose was just purring happily in Bonnie's arms, and somewhat watching Lockjaw with a bit of curiosity towards the dog. Flynn headed off of the Quinjet and followed after the others.

Oliver Sullivan

Location: Quinjet -> Outside palace
Skills:

Oliver felt an odd juxtaposition of relief and shame, glad he wasn't getting punched in the face, but upset with the fact that he had endangered the crew. Fumbling around as they prepared to get off the ship, he silently reached for a mask, figuring he'd be needing one now. Affixing it to his head, he rubbed the back of his head, thoughts swimming with everything that had just happened. "Uh, sorry if this is a weird question, but you're an Inhuman yeah?" He asked,, addressing Crystal, "Why isn't the mist affecting you?" Granted, Inhumans were a pretty big gap in the things he knew, that didn't seem to mesh with what he knew now.

He game a nod at Tempest, before giving a slightly annoyed look at Maria. He didn't like being talked down to, even if he just fucked up big time. "Right, I figured that much." Hopefully that meant that his parents were still his parents, just as ignorant as he was, but he'd need to see if he could have them tested as soon as possible. This would at least be a phone call he'd need to make soon. Breathing a sigh of relief as Matt emerged, he nodded, "You look fine, far as I can tell. I'm so sorry. That was stupid of me." Giving a sympathetic look, he just hoped everyone didn't hate him now. As he continued, he followed along with the group, moving onward to meet this Medusa person.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 10:40 A.M.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: Outside the Palace -> the Palace
Skills: Trivia Knowledge

Crystal gave Cass a sharp look. "We were," she snapped. "Thanos sent his Black Order." The haughty princess did snort however at Maria's explanation to Oliver as to what was happening to him. "I already have had my genetic potential fulfilled," she told Oliver. "The terrigen mists cannot bring out anything more for me."

Bonnie frowned slightly at Oliver's apology to Matt. It was a pretty weak one in her opinion. She had already said her piece about Oliver's recklessness, as had just about everyone else here. Given what happened to the last agent to be that irresponsible, she had to wonder if Oliver would still be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. by the end of the day. Maybe Oliver was the next Novikova. She gave Goose another pet, hoping that he wasn't about to jump out of her arms to "play" with the inhuman dog. She was fairly certain Goose would end up eating Lockjaw and she didn't think that would be the best for a diplomatic mission. "I'm sorry," Bonnie said, expressing her sympathy to Crystal. "Who is Thanos? What did he want?"

The group then entered the palace. The palace interior largely consisted of black marble floors, white stone walls, and numerous statues of inhuman royals. Each statue was adorned with a simple placard with strange symbols - seemingly identifying the individual depicted. One of the statues they passed had a striking resemblance to Crystal, depicting her as wielding the four elements as if she was the Avatar. "Thanos is one of the eternals," Raynor answered Bonnie gruffly. "Not the Midgardian ones." As far as Raynor knew, Thanos was from Titan. He hadn't seen anything about the eternals come up in a long time and he had little to no idea who the Black Order were, beyond guessing from context clues that they worked for Thanos and they were hardly friendly.

"He's the Mad Titan," Crystal said bitterly. "He demanded a tribute to spare Attilan - the heads of those between 26 and 30 Earth years of age."

The blood drained from Bonnie's face. A horrible idea was forming in her mind. The Earth wasn't very far from Attilan - since Attilan was just on the Moon. Was Thanos going to do the same thing to the Earth? She tried to imagine the death toll they would face if all of those between 26 and 30 were killed at once for some titan. Millions of people would be slaughtered. She was certain that the terrigen mists in their atmosphere had to be connected somehow. Was it to give everyone with an inhuman gene a fighting chance? "...That's horrible," Bonnie said softly. "Is there anything we can do to help?"

They entered what appeared to be a throne room. Seated was an elegant woman with lengthy red hair. Her locks were slowly moving as if they were alive. On closer inspection, her purple form fitting suit was blood stained. There was a nasty gash on her head. The throne room around her was partially caved in. As much as she radiated strength, the Queen of the Inhumans was grieving. Black Bolt was dead - the King was dead.

"Are you the one in charge?" Raynor asked, feeling antsy. "Look, it's simple. What the hell did we do to deserve you bombing us with terrigen?" he accused. "I get it, it sucks, Thanos' goons came here and killed Black Bolt and probably a lot of other people... But why take that out on the Earth? Why poison all of our mutants and give powers to idiots like Oliver? No offense, but the world was better off when he was just a dweeb and not a super powered dweeb."

"That's no way to address a queen," Medusa scolded, rising to her feet. Her hair was fluttering around her. "Who are you?"

"They're flatscans from Earth," Crystal answered her sister, walking up to her. "Two of them are inhuman."

"I see..." Medusa paused, sighing slightly. It had been a long day. She wanted to mourn. "Very well. I was the one to flood the Earth with the terrigen mists - to give our people a fighting chance. The inhumans of Earth don't stand a chance against the Black Order without powers... I will not allow them to be massacred. No more."

Cassandra Reed
&
Maria Novikova

Location: Attilan, Outside the Palace -> Inside the Palace Throne Room
Skills: N/A

Maria looked towards Matt which didn't take long to get out of his cocoon at all which was surprising, and asking if he looked fine and gave him a nod. "You don't have cat ears or a tail, so you look fine to me." Maria said giving him a slight smile, trying to cheer him up she didn't say anything else to Oliver she was still a little bit more than mad at him right now. Maria didn't want to end up having to call her wife that she got the M-Pox because of Oliver. "Just keep Bonnie or Tempest if she can help informed if you feel weird or anything." Maria said to him and followed the others, quickly grabbing her bow and arrows just in case they did need to defend themselves.

So they were attacked from what Crystal had said by someone named Thanos which she didn't recognize the name at all or the group called The Black Order. She walked alongside Raynor for a moment and looked at him, raising an eyebrow slightly. "So what are the Eternals?" Maria asked him, he seemed to know more after all as well when they entered the throne room Maria looked around the throne room which looked to have seen better days.

Cassandra remained calm still when Crystal answered her question, which was understandable that she was upset that their home was attacked, she entered the palace with the others. Looking around the room seeing some of the statues that were there she assumed that they were their past royals. When Raynor decided to speak up rather quickly and quickly gave him a little bit of a glare and gently rested a hand on his shoulder. "Raynor you aren't helping right now, you could make things worse." Cassandra whispered to him, seeing Medusa there on the throne and basically confirming what they did.

"I am really sorry for him, he doesn't speak for the whole team." Cassandra said letting out a slight sigh giving him a little look, it was really hard to keep standing but she tried to stay relaxed she bowed her head slightly. "We are simply here to try and find out why you sent the terrigen bomb in our atmosphere. As my hot headed friend said, the terrigen mists have affected the mutant population in a severely bad way, we are calling it M-Pox." Cassandra said, softly as she thought what else to say deciding to leave out that she was affected by it as well as her sister for the time being looking at Medusa who was injured. "We have a healer, if you allow us to help you, and maybe we can help each other?"

Matt definitely still wanted to punch Oliver as the group entered the Palace, his words weren't reassuring. He gave Maria a nod though. Thankful that he didn't have a cattail at least. Matt took a deep breath as they entered the Palace. He was very concerned. About a lot of things. The whole situation was becoming more unpleasant.

He agreed with what Cass and as she spoke nodded along. Before adding, "So you released a ton of this mist threatening millions of other people. Many of us could have been killed, and Earth had mutants that are sick and could die. I'm inhuman and it is dangerous for me, but you say you're fully realized? How does that work?" Matt was pissed but was trying to keep his cool about him. Unlike some others. The palace was amazing, but that didn't sit well with him. Was he safe from the mists now?

Oliver Sullivan

Oliver gave a hmm at Crystal's response. That didn't quite mesh with the teams response to what he did. If people could end up fine after multiple terrigenesises, the fear over what happened to Matt wouldn't've happened. This seemed at least nonstandard, if not impossible. That told him that they were missing some key piece of information. As they continued into the palace, and heard what Medusa had to say, he pursed his lips. No, if the flooding was intentional, and not some kind of malfeasance, then there was only one variable left, the mist itself. Thinking for a moment, he posed a question to the queen.

"Is this the same kind of Terrigen mist we've seen before, or is the risk from multiple terrigenesis somehow mitigated from it?" He asked, looking over to Medusa, "I assume you wouldn't risk virtually guaranteeing the death of all of Earth's inhumans as a result of that, or is there something else we're all missing here?" The only other possible explanation, was that these fully realized inhumans were so powerful that, even if their existence were incredibly rare, it would be worth the risk. Those were the only two ways to make the numbers add up to him; Lower the probability of death, or increase the positive impact of success.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 10:50 A.M.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: the Palace
Skills: Trivia Knowledge, the All-Tongue

"Just a bunch of Celestial brats," Raynor explained to Maria, shaking his head slightly. He didn't really like Celestials. They were annoying and egotistical, fond of speaking in riddles and just letting others do the busywork of saving the universe. Raynor had been lucky to recognize Thanos as being one of the eternals from Titan, since he only remembered the names of a few. One was called Thena - he knew that. And there was one called Ikaris as well.

"She just confessed to basically trying to commit genocide of the mutant race, I think I'm entitled," he whispered back harshly to Cass. "She's the reason you're dying, Reed." Raynor didn't want to pretend that M-Pox was just a mild inconvenience - something that could be easily forgiven and overlooked. Their planet was suffering because of Medusa's actions. Since the inhumans had apparently been attacked by the Black Order, they should have understood pain and suffering. They should have had empathy.

But instead, Medusa and her sister, Crystal, looked on without compassion. "Can your healers treat the dead?" Medusa asked Cass coldly. "Can they reverse the flow of time and bring back those who perished fighting the Black Order?" she added, rising to her feet. It would be apparent to everyone in the room that the blood covering Medusa was not her own. "Where were they when our children were being murdered by outsiders?"

"With all due respect, Queen Medusa-" Bonnie began, only for Medusa to cut her off. The inhuman's hair was writhing around like snakes and her expression was fierce, the sort that could seemingly turn someone to stone.

"I am not finished speaking," Medusa interrupted. "Less than one percent of the inhumans of Earth have undergone terrigenesis. I owe them protection - I owe them the granting of their abilities in order to protect themselves from the Mad Titan's wrath. If the mutants die from the mists, then so be it, as long as my people have a chance to live."

Crystal rolled her eyes at Oliver. "It's the same mist, idiot. Most inhumans never go through terrigenesis in the first place. The Genetic Council decides who can turn."

Bonnie curled her toes inside of her shoes. She didn't really like either Crystal or Medusa. They were both incredibly haughty and defensive, and while she could excuse the latter given that they had been attacked and their kingdom was crumbling, the former trait rubbed her the wrong way. They clearly didn't care about hurting an entire race of people. They were acting like anyone who wasn't inhuman was less than - that they were dirt, not worth concerning themselves over. They reminded her of Magneto.

"I'm sorry, but we can't accept this. No one's life is worth more than someone else's - the mutants and humans of Earth deserve protection from the Black Order just as much as the inhumans do. I know you don't think that we're capable of much, but we can stop Thanos and we're going to get rid of the mists poisoning our planet," Bonnie declared. "Feel free to join us so we can work together to save everyone."

"The Terrigen Mists are sacred, child - to destroy them would be to declare war on Attilan and all inhumans across the galaxy," Medusa warned. Lockjaw growled.

"And I'd say poisoning all the mutants is pretty much declaring war on Earth," Raynor pointed out. "Also, Percy Jackson called, he wants his Greek Mythology references back."

There was a lengthy, tension filled pause.

Medusa then produced a small device, covered in blood. "I will make a wager - if you can expel the Black Order from this system, I can remove the terrigen from your atmosphere," she offered. She then pressed a button and a holographic projection of strange numerals and symbols floated in the air above them. The symbols were kree.

The symbols translated in Raynor's mind instantly, as he spoke the All-Tongue. "...Thanos has an inhuman son named Thane?" he asked. "...Thane? Really?"

"Yes, really," Crystal scoffed. "Flatscans, unbelievable..." she then muttered under her breath.

"Before he... Black Bolt and I were able to determine using the Inhuman Codex that Thanos' Black Order is demanding the tribute of younglings for a terrible reason. Thanos knows that his child is of inhuman lineage... Thanos means to murder Thane, driven mad by a prophecy that Thane will kill him," Medusa explained.

"And according to the Codex, Thane was born on Earth," Crystal said softly.

"So we defeat the Black Order, protect Thane, and you'll destroy the Mists?" Bonnie confirmed. She didn't know if the inhumans were even capable of that - but at the very least, if Medusa and Crystal dispersed the harmful terrigen mists, they would avoid a war.

"You have my word," Medusa promised.

Tinley Abercrombie and Tempest Renroir

Location: The Quinjet -> Inside the Palace
Skills: N/A

Tempest didn't really appreciate being thrust into the spotlight as the healer, especially in this instance. "Well....no. Can't do any necromancy. Not that I have tried! Pinky promise! But I seem to be able to heal the symptoms of the sickness. Alleviate pain, but I can't mend a broken heart. Would that I could." She tried sympathy with the queen, though the queen's words sparked something in Tempest.

They sure as hell sparked something in Tinley.

"As one of the inhumans who have undergone terrigenesis, your view is warped, though I can sympathize. We can stand here and judge each other's actions until we all get hoarse, but it won't get us anywhere. You took it upon yourself to save your own people, even if it meant others, innocent lives, were destroyed. Let's call that what it is: manslaughter. And now you ask us to take care of this problem to clear the mists away. I pity you, your highness, or whatever title you wish to be addressed. We'll do what you ask and I have your word."

Tinley didn't specifically say it, but it was heavily implied. You fuck with her team, you fuck with her. And people who fuck with her wind up dead. Or worse.

Tempest cleared her throat. "So, any other information on Thanos and the Black Order we need to know?" She felt like they were being sent on a suicide mission, which was par for the course once you thought about it. Still, they would try. She glanced at Oliver, worried the guy was still reeling from his mistake and knowing full well that the brunt of all they had been told was about to weigh heavily on all their shoulders. Especially Tinley.

Cassandra looked at Raynor and gave him a little bit of a glare. "And you don't think I don't know that? So is my younger sister as well." She said harshly, as she could feel something tickling the back of her throat a little bit and started to cough a little bit. Her eyes turned towards Medusa she really didn't like her right now. She would have probably done the same thing, but only as a last resort option and she would contact just about everyone and inform them, and prevent a war with these people as well. "That doesn't make you any better than this Thanos guy and his Black Order as well." She told her.

As she started to cough a lot more violently now and started to lean forward and started to taste her own blood. And spittles of blood started to appear on the mask. Cassandra wanted to wipe off the blood covering her vision but she knew that if she did it would make things worse for her, and she continued to cough, finding a nearby wall to lean against. "I don't think that's suppose to happen.." She said, Cassandra was doing her best to try and remain as calm as possible for the others, but she was actually scared more now that she could die any second now. She started looking over at the others and over at Medusa she wanted to deck the woman right then and there right now.

Maria quickly turned her attention towards Cass seeing her starting to cough was really concerning, and then seeing the blood appearing on a little bit of her mask as well. That wasn't a good thing at all, and went over towards her and offered to help her up a little bit while staring at Medusa and Crystal who made an offer. "How do we know that you will actually keep your word?" Maria asked looking at the two Inhuman royals. "Since you said that the mists are sacred to you all?" She helped walk Cassandra over towards Bonnie she didn't like this anymore than the others did either.

She wasn't a doctor or anything like Bonnie was or a healer like Tempest, but she was pretty sure that Cass didn't have much time at all really either. "We should take her back to the Quinjet." Maria said, as she could hear Cassandra coughing a lot more now she had a feeling that this was all the help that they were going to get from the inhumans here.

"Ray, calm down already, you can't just snap at people especially if we are sort of uninvited guests in their home," Sparky said, shaking her head ever so slightly at him. Of course, everything he was snapping about made sense, and she could totally understand why he'd be freaking out over everything, but right now they couldn't afford that sort of thing. They needed their help to potentially get rid of the mists in the atmosphere that was killing every mutant on Earth, since every mutant would die if they didn't get rid of it.

Flynn was getting more then a little annoyed with the Inhumans crap, everything they said was making no sense, considering the fact that he left an organization that more or less did something like that, or was trying to do something like that anyway, in what they declared was "Trying to protect the human race". Everyone technically fell under that category when you thought about it, since weren't Inhumans still technically human and whatnot? Mutants were too, and it was ridiculous. He partially wanted to just punch Medusa in the face at this point.

"Alright, going to be blunt, you are seriously a bunch of idiots. Now you ask for help, when guess what? You could have done it before now and probably saved yourself a lot of trouble, might not have been hit so hard, and oh, not threaten to kill an entire group of people, who like you have powers, and some might have even been willing to help you. But oh no, people like you have so much damn pride you can't do that and instead will probably kill a bunch of people and as of all people Raynor pointed out, essentially starting a war anyway. I've freaking worked with and for people like you, and honestly it sucks horribly and you all are a bunch of hypocrites. Like seriously, bunch of idiots," he couldn't help but somewhat blurt out. This was honestly the saddest excuse for essentially causing mass murder that he had ever heard. "Wouldn't it make more sense to destroy the mists first? Since Thanos is going to attack Earth anyway, and that way we'd have a lot more people who could potentially hold off Thanos and his Black Order? You would have no reason to keep your word to us, since the population of Earth is going to take a hit anyway if that disease sticks around much longer, so what sort of incentive do you really have for us? Since odds are if we constantly have to deal with half of us getting sick with a disease that could kill us because of your stupidity makes absolutely no damn sense!"

"This is not going to end well at all," she muttered under her breath, not too sure if everyone having outbursts of sorts was a good idea. "...The Black Order doesn't sound like a group who will easily be dealt with, so we're going to need to be careful no matter what we do... And if we have to fight them on Earth, everyone whose a mutant will need to be careful that we aren't going to get hit by the mists or effected by them... But I'm all for fighting against them, since otherwise a lot more people will die, and I'm all for giving Medusa the benefit of the doubt, sure, we don't have much of a reason to believe that she'll keep her end of the bargain, but it doesn't really matter..." she said, speaking up slightly and then glancing over at Cass seeing her coughing up blood. It made her flinch slightly, seeing the disease take it's toll on her, even though Sparky also knew that she wasn't currently telling anyone about her problems with the disease yet.

"I can help her back to the Quinjet real quick, I can see about flying her back real quick if everyone else wants to keep talking to them for more info on Thanos and the Black Order," Sparky volunteered slightly, going over to stand by Cass at this point now.

Matt got it, he did, but that didn't make him any less pissed about the whole thing. Lots of people's lives were in danger cause some people from the moon who hadn't given a damn about him and his family suddenly wanted to give them a 'fighting' chance. He didn't identify as Inhuman, sure he did when he applied for the position at SHIELD, but in his heart he was human. Not some moon person watching from afar.

It was the people on Earth that matted to him, and the people in his crew that he had started getting close to. Enough opinions that lined up with Matt's were thrown at Medusa that he kept his mouth shut this time. Bitch that she was. He glanced at Cass as her coughing fit got worse. He liked her. She was good at her job, and she had been nice to see the movies with. Anger boiled in him, the anger he wasn't certain he had a right to have. Not as much as the rest of the team. They had a bigger stake in this. But damn he liked Cass, and several other mutants he had met. They were all in danger now.

If they couldn't hold off this guy Thanos...He snapped down on that thought. This team was amazing. He was going to make sure they succeeded. They had no other option. "Cass, I'm here if you need me too." He offered. Trying to keep his tense anger out of his voice so as to not upset her.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 11:00 A.M.

Bonnie Chase and Raynor Blake

Location: the Palace -> the Quinjet / Earth
Skills: Jack of All Trades (Medicine), Enhanced Physiology

"I am not asking you to vanquish the Black Order - I am simply naming the price for me to remove the Terrigen Mists from your planet," Medusa corrected them harshly. She gave no indication as to how she was able to accomplish that - would it mean destruction of her people's sacred mists? Crystal was glaring at the entire group, clearly irked that they were accepting the help of humans against the Black Order. She pitied Tinley above all - an inhuman, stuck leading a group of flatscans, doomed to failure.

"If you survive, you'd be welcome on Attilan - you'd be home," Crystal told Tinley. "The same goes for the other inhumans. You have family here."

Bonnie's heart stopped for a moment, as Maria led Cass on over to her, her visor plainly showing some of the blood Cass had coughed up. That wasn't good. From the limited information they had on M-Pox, Cass had five days left at most - and that was assuming that Cass instantly went into a medically induced coma, rested, and was watched round the clock by doctors. If she continued to work, to fight this threat... Bonnie estimated that she would only have eighteen hours left. "Cass, you need to stop - we need to get you back to Earth ASAP," Bonnie stressed.

She bit her lip, hearing Sparky's offer to take Cass back to the quinjet. Resting there would be better than nothing, but she was scared for her best friend's life. If they had been on Earth, she would have ordered an emergency med-evac to the nearest hospital. Would the immense force of reentry cause Cass' condition to worsen? She couldn't help but wish they had a teleporter on the team. They couldn't afford to separate Cass from Tempest, as Tempest might be able to bring her back from the brink if reentry really was an issue. "I need to get her to a hospital, now - Tempest, you'll need to accompany her." Or she won't make it.

The queen stared at them for a moment. "As a gesture of good will... Lockjaw, please."

The inhuman dog then padded on over to Cass and Bonnie, Crystal at his side. Crystal glanced back at her sister, before she sighed. "Lockjaw, take us to New York City," she requested. She had spent some time on Earth a few years back, gotten involved with a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants. One thing he had told her stood out - everything a person could need was in New York. There was a blue flash of light and suddenly, Cass, Bonnie, Crystal, and Lockjaw were gone.

"Where the hell did they go?!" Raynor snapped. He didn't trust the inhumans one bit. And sure, he didn't like Bonnie much at all, but Cass was a friend. With the way the inhumans were talking about humans and mutants, he wouldn't have been surprised if Lockjaw and Crystal had taken their teammates to the cold vacuum of space to abandon them.

"Lockjaw and Crystal are accompanying the healer and your friend to one of Earth's places of healing," Medusa answered calmly. "Now, the Inhuman Codex indicates that Thane was born in a place called Cardiff... It is likely that the Black Order will assemble there to kill him. I must take my leave. I have my people to bury," Medusa finished, a tear falling down her face.

The Asgardian clenched his fist. He hated all of this. He didn't like the lack of power they had in this situation. But there wasn't much they could do. S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists were working round the clock in an attempt to cure M-Pox and to find a way to get rid of the Terrigen Mists. The only option left for the Secret Warriors squad was to head to Britain and fight the Black Order, to protect the son of the Mad Titan. It wasn't at all how he had imagined his Valentine's Day to go. Too much space, not enough roses and champagne. "Let's go then," he grumbled.

He then started heading back to the quinjet.
Kirby General Hospital - NYC: February 14th, 2021 - 11:00 A.M.

"Jesus..." Bonnie said, completely astonished. One minute ago, she had been on the Moon. And now, she was in an operating room in Kirby General Hospital. The room was empty, aside from Cass, the inhuman princess, and Lockjaw. To say it was disorienting was an understatement. She couldn't remove the suit that Cass was inside of, as doing so would expose her to the Terrigen Mists and potentially make her disease worse.

"Here you are, a healing room," Crystal said plainly. "Lockjaw, let's leave."

"Wait!" Bonnie called out, but Lockjaw and Crystal vanished in a blue flash of light. She needed a medical team here. She was out of her depth. Her mind was so frazzled that she couldn't even think of who to summon, but luckily, fate was on her side.

The door to the operating room opened, revealing Doctor Strange, Master of the Mystic Arts. "Ah, my eleven o'clock. Right on schedule," he greeted with a smirk. "Now, don't be surprised, Dr. Chase. I make it my business to monitor threats to Earth, including unexpected teleportation from the Moon."

"It's M-Pox. Can you help her?" Bonnie asked desperately.

"Not in here, this room isn't sterile - but in another dimension, it is," Strange announced cryptically. "Agent Reed, do I have your permission to bring you to the mirror dimension?"

Cassandra Reed

Location: Attilan, Inside the Palace Throne Room -> Kirby General Hospital - NYC
Skills: N/A

Cassandra went over and leaned against Bonnie for support, as she continued to cough up a lot more blood and her breathing started to become much heavier. She looked over at Maria, Theresa, Bonnie and Matt giving them a weak smile, the whole team was like a second family to her, and trusted them all with all of the missions that they had gone on together. And gave Matt a slight smile to try and cheer him up some. "Thank you.." Cassandra said towards him even though she hadn't known him that long, she did enjoy the movie with him, and liked him as well. She wasn't going to last much longer at this point and she knew that they would need to take her to a hospital of some kind. "I could use a little bit of help.." Cass said between heavy breathes, she wasn't going to fight or argue anymore either looking over at Bonnie again. She wished that there was some way to try and cheer her best friend up. Cass wasn't sure how long she had left or even if she would make it before they made reentry into the atmosphere at all either.

When Medusa spoke up, turning her head slightly to look at the woman as she coughed up some more blood, as both Crystal and Lockjaw came over towards her and Bonnie. And in a blinding flash of blue light, they were gone and away from Attilan she wasn't feeling well, she was feeling really disoriented now as well. She certainly wasn't expecting to be dumped in the middle of a hospital essentially either as she looked around the room. And then Crystal and Lockjaw just simply leaving them there in the operating room, Cass leaned herself forward on a nearby counter turning to look at Bonnie.

Cassandra wanted to take off the suit completely and try to breath some fresh air, all she could feel was her own blood covering the visor of her suit's mask. "If I don't make it Bonnie, can you try and find a cure for my sister, and check up on her from time to time for me?" She asked, her sister was going through the same thing as she was last time she had. She knew that her sister Carolina could easily take care of herself, though she wanted to make sure she was well off just in case something did happen to her. When the door opened coughing up a lot more blood now, seeing Dr. Strange coming into the room, she looked at Bonnie for a moment. She didn't know anything about the Mystic Arts or anything like that, but if there was a way to cure her or at least help her in some way she was going to take it. "Do it.."

Maria Novikova

Location: Attilan, Inside the Palace Throne Room -> Quinjet
Skills: N/A

Maria watched as Bonnie, Lockjaw, Crystal and Cass all disappeared the dog certainly did have a lot of tricks up its sleeve, though she didn't say anything. She was still pissed off that Medusa and the inhumans actually had done all of this to them, and hearing Cass trying to breathe was hard to see as well. Though she did believe that they had taken Bonnie and Cass to the closest hospital in New York, she looked over at Flynn for a moment since Bonnie had essentially gone off to save Cass. And it looks like Medusa was pretty much done with them now at this point before speaking once more.

"If you cared for the Inhumans on Earth, then you could do a lot more then just give people a power boost, and who wouldn't even know how to use their powers properly. And actually help fight them." Maria said, before following Raynor as well. She took a moment and sighed a little bit as she walked up onto the Quinjet, and sat down where she had been sitting a few minutes before looking at the empty spot where Cass had been sitting during the flight here. They had a location now on finding this Thane guy, and hopefully they would be able to find him before Thanos and this Black Order could even find them.

Oliver Sullivan

Location:Inside Palace -> Quinjet
Skills:

Oli was uncomfortable at the idea that these people were somehow his family, just because he was apparently an Inhuman like them. On one level, it was nice to see that this race felt a kinship that humans lacked, but at the same time, being raised human, that word meant something special to him. Nobody could just show up in your life, and start insisting they were your family, genetics notwithstanding. He wasn't angry at them or anything, he just felt like that word was being misapplied here, and it felt like more of a manipulation than anything.

As Cass and Bonnie were whisked away, he was immediately concerned. Cass had been hocking up blood before, and was looking like she was almost on death's door. A look of anger crossed his face towards the queen, but it fell as the situation was explained. Some warning beforehand would have been nice, but honestly he wanted his teammates healthy over being here. He almost felt like she shouldn't have come in the first place, given her condition, but that was the nature of being a shield agent, you put your duty before your life.

Following the team back to the Quinjet, he was somehow both pleasantly surprised and incredibly worried about the news that they'd be going to Cardiff. That was where he came from, after all, and it was always nice to go home, something that he wasn't able to do much as an agent. But they were going there on work, and more importantly, they expected the people who razed this city to be heading their as well. He couldn't let Cardiff to become the next Attilan, and now, given his recent acquisition of powers, he might be able to do something to prevent that from happening. Before any of that though, he had to set things right with the team. A house divided could not stand, and after what he did, he practically took a sledgehammer to any kind of trust they had in him.

Tinley Abercrombie and Tempest Renroir

Location: Inside the Palace -> Quinjet
Skills: N/A

Tinley shook her head. Now she really felt sorry for them. To look at other people, whatever their status was, as anything less than them was how wars started. If anything, the mist was a declaration of war and it seemed the royal family was either too stupid or too blinded to see that. "I am with my family." She let that comment punctuate the scene. She would never join Attilan. Ever. She'd sooner se its downfall.

Cass was not looking good. Tempest ran over to check on her. "She needs aid now." The Queen summoned her dog and soon, Cass, Bonnie, Crystal, and him were gone. Tempest felt hurt she wasn't taken. She was a healer too dammit! But then she heard where Cass was dropped off and understood. Plus, she could still be used on this team. Bonnie was capable.

Tinley almost launched off once Cass disappeared, but the Queen wouldn't ruin her chance of them taking out the Black Order. "Good." She wouldn't allow herself to feel thankful to the Queen. It didn't seem worth it on this matter. Her family caused it, it only served them to fix it. She followed her team to the Quinjet.

Once onboard, Tempest propped herself down and took out her pocket computer. She wanted to do some digging on this royal family. Tinley, meanwhile, launched into leader mode. "Ok, we need to get ready then. Let's launch quickly and finish this. We need as much information as we can on them before we tackle them. If they couldn't handle this Thanos by themselves and had to rely on poisoning our world, then we best be prepared. Oliver, with me. We need to have a talk alone." Tinley walked towards one of the side areas where she could "talk" to Oliver alone. She had promised this, after all.

Theresa Sparks and Frederick Flynn

Location: the Palace
Skills: N/A

Flynn's eyes went a little wide when Cass and Bonnie disappeared with the freaking dog and the girl who shot them from the sky. That was not okay in his mind. It took a moment for him to grasp where exactly they went, and he was still not too thrilled at the fact that they had just transported them somewhere without really telling them all too much as to where they went. After all, the group getting split up in any sort of capacity was never a good thing, ever. That was literally the one thing you never really wanted to do, so this was going to be interesting.

He managed to bite back a few other words he wanted to snap at Medusa about the entire situation. However, he managed to stop himself from saying anything insane or stupid considering the fact that at this point it didn't seem to be worth the breath. Especially considering the fact that he knew that it was very hard to get anyone like that to change at all. Flynn followed along after the others towards the quinjet, listening more then anything to what Tinley was saying, since that was distracting him somewhat from the question in his mind as to what the hell was even really going on with Cass and Bonnie on Earth.

Sparky wasn't too sure what to even really think regarding everyone snapping and arguing somewhat around her about what the hell seemed to be going on. They had to deal with the Black Order, since if they didn't Earth likely would end up as battered as Attilan was. She was kind of glad that Tinley seemed to not like the idea of sticking around on Attilan. Raynor didn't seem all too thrilled to even be on the moon or in the Inhuman city or whatever and seemed like he was hell bent on leaving, not really to go after the Black Order or anything, but to just leave.

That caused another thought to resurface in her mind as she followed the others towards the Quinjet, and she glanced down at her hands somewhat, and figured that it was better to admit something as opposed to hiding it and them figuring it out later. Taking a deep breath, she raced to catch up to Raynor, and walked along next to him. "Uh... Hey Ray? There is something I need to tell you..." she said softly, looking at him. "...I'd show you but the problem is that the terrigen mists are bad... But I'm starting to have the first signs of M-Pox..." she told him, keeping somewhat quiet so that he was the only one who'd really be able to hear her.

The Kingdom of Attilan - the Moon: February 14th, 2021 - 11:10 A.M.

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quinjet
Skills: Small Aircraft Piloting, Light Manipulation

Raynor didn't see a point in chastising Medusa about fighting alongside the inhumans down on Earth - from what they had seen on Attilan, Medusa had already tried fighting the Black Order. She had failed. The fact that they hadn't seen anyone besides her and her sister spoke volumes. Sure, he hated them for what they had done to the mutants down on Earth... but he also recognized he would have done the same thing for Asgard. His heart constricted briefly at the very thought of it. He hadn't been able to save his planet, his people. He couldn't blame Medusa for failing to save hers.

Taking his seat in the pilot's chair, Raynor started pulling up the coordinates for Cardiff, Wales. It had been a while since he had gone to the United Kingdom. They had a lot of Brits on the team though, something he found amusing. From what he recalled, Cass, Oliver, Matt, and Tinley were all from the UK. He didn't have long to ponder this though. Sparky's news hit him like a bucket of ice to the groin. Every muscle of his froze, as terrifying flashbacks to seeing her body, dead and broken, came over him.

Had they changed the future just for him to lose her again?

"Tempest.... TEMPEST!" Raynor screamed, his voice hoarse and terrified. "Tempest, we need a medic, now!" He was physically shaking. He spotted Oliver and instantly, he knew that he was to blame. He had exposed everyone. Raynor tried to shape a ball of light in his hands, but the light dissipated almost instantly.

Fuck it. He tried again, sending a blast off at Oliver that hit the new inhuman in the chest. "You! You did this!" Raynor raged. "Give me one goddamn reason why I shouldn't rip your skull out of your head!"

Bonnie Chase

Location: Operating Room -> the Mirror Dimension
Skills: N/A

"No, you're going to check on her yourself. You're not going to die, Cass," Bonnie reassured her, gripping her friend's hand. Hardly any time passed between Cass' assent to being taken into the Mirror Dimension and Doctor Strange wielding his eldritch magic, drawing a circle in front of them with a peculiar ring on his finger. He then unceremoniously dragged the two girls on through and shut the door behind them. Everything was distorted in this realm, moving at odd paces and speeds. It looked like a mirror to the true reality, allowing Doctor Strange to place Cass on the operating table.

"Nurse, remove her suit - she won't need it. There's no Terrigen Mist in the Mirror Dimension," Strange instructed. He was making complex hand gestures, seemingly conjuring magical energy in the shape of tools.

"Nurse?" Bonnie objected. "I'm a doctor. I won't take disrespect from you, Strange," she snapped. But as much as she had to defend her principles, she also wanted to save her friend's life. She worked at getting the suit off of Cass as quickly as she could, starting with the helmet that way Cass wouldn't have to stare at its bloody coating. The rest of the suit was a little more difficult, with Bonnie having to tug it off of each of Cass' arms first and then her legs before she could remove it in full.

"Good, now I can assess the damage," Strange announced. He reached forward and pulled Cass' astral form out of her body, able to do so even within the Mirror Dimension. "I find that removing the astral form is more effective than using painkillers," he then mused. The strange instruments of pure magic that he had conjured were then inserted in through Cass' mouth and forced down her throat. When Strange pulled them back out, they were coated in an unnatural blue slime.

"....What... is that?" Bonnie asked, her eyes wide with alarm. "Is that her blood? Or... the magical version of it?"

Strange chuckled slightly, shaking his head. "Close, my dear. This is her life force. I have made the application of magicks to medicine my area of expertise. My diagnosis - Miss Reed, if you wouldn't mind focusing as best as you can at the moment - is that I am afraid any further exposure to the Terrigen Mists will prove fatal. If you leave the Mirror Dimension, you will die."

Cassandra Reed

Location: Kirby General Hospital - NYC -> The Mirror Dimension
Skills: N/A

Cassandra gave Bonnie a pitiful sad smile, she wasn't sure if she'd last long at all but she hoped that they would be able to find or do something to get her on the road to recovery and nodded she wasn't going to bring it up again. When Doctor Strange moved the two of them into the Mirror Dimension. Every part of her body just wanted to stay still, so that she wouldn't feel the pain and she felt like her head was going to explode right then and there. Cass looked around, for the most part everything looked the same, though occasionally she would see the distortion moving around like they were surrounded by mirrors which was weird to see.

She didn't protest or argue when they set her down on the operating table and removed her suit, it was good to have the bloodied helmet come off of her head. Once the suit came off, Cass wasn't expecting to be pulled out of her own body which was really weird but reminded her of her sister's power. But seeing her own body there in front of her made her feel like she was actually dead, she watched Doctor Strange making weird hand gestures to produce some kind of tools. "I guess this is what it feels like when Carolina uses her powers." She said mostly to herself.

Cass saw the tools go into her own mouth, and a few seconds later it being pulled out seeing the strange blue slimey liquid dripping off of it, and Strange giving her diagnosis which wasn't good. "What if I stay here, will it still continue to progress?" Cassandra asked looking over at Strange and Bonnie, if her condition did get worse while being in here despite the lack of terrigen mists she would rather be out there fighting with the rest of their team.

Maria Novikova

Location: Attilan, Quinjet
Skills: N/A

Maria sat in the chair in the Quinjet and looked at the others of the team, Tempest was busy with her mini computer, while Raynor was getting ready to take off and fly back to Earth. It would be really cool to go to the UK, under better circumstances they were going to fight this Thanos guy and his Black Order. She looked between Raynor for a moment and Sparks as she talked to him quietly about something that she didn't really pick up. When Raynor suddenly started to scream for Tempest, she quickly stood up when Raynor blasted at Oliver, the situation wasn't going to turn out good for anyone really.

Maria quickly stood in between the two of them, sure Oliver had done something really reckless and stupid by opening the Quinjet hatch she looked at Theresa wondering how she got exposed. "Raynor, try and calm down please." Maria said, hoping that he actually would relax if Sparks was actually exposed then they didn't have much time at all really. "Maybe she got exposed before getting on the Quinjet while we were on Earth?" She suggested, hoping that it was a better story. She really didn't want to see Sparks going through what Cass was going through right now either.

Matthew Moss

Location: Inside Palace -> On the quinjet
Skills: N/A

Even if the royals were asses at least they got Cass out of there to safety. Matt wasn't certain where they took her, but he hoped they were true to their word. He considered swearing that if something went wrong and Cass died taking it out on them. It was entirely their fault. He followed the group back to the quinjet. He didn't hear what Sparky said but Raynor's reaction gave him a really good idea. Matt didn't blame Raynor either if Oliver was to blame like he was for Matt's own secondary exposure (that he still didn't know what had changed because of). Raynor was a bit of a loose cannon though.

Matt figured it would be best if he was at least near at hand if Raynor didn't let it go. He probably wouldn't be able to best Raynor in a hand-to-hand fight, but Matt could at least keep Oliver from getting hurt. Though the kid had superspeed now. If he was smart he'd just keep out of range of Ryanor. Matt would have put himself between the two, but Maria already had that covered.

If Cass was doing that badly...how were all of the other mutants on Earth doing? What was Sparky's timeline looking like? Would she progress as rapidly? "We don't have time for this. The longer we fight each other the longer until we can help. We need to get this mission taken care of. We can all punch Oliver after."

Matt did spare Oliver a glance to make sure he wasn't going to bleed out or something from the light blast that Ryanor had hit him with.

Oliver Sullivan

Location:Quinjet
Skills:

Oliver fell back as the light slammed into him. That hurt a lot, and he honestly wasn't expecting the sudden rush of violence against him. He knew he fucked up exposing everyone, but he'd assumed, given the rapid onset of Cass's symptoms, she'd been exposed on Earth. But there was no way he could have known that, and that was probably just a rationalization to keep himself from coming to terms with the consequences of his actions. "A reason?" He asked, standing up, shaking a bit from the shock, "The best I can offer, is that I will be of some use in Cardiff. Anything else, you have no reason to believe." He admitted, averting his eyes.

"I put the team at risk, and that action needs to have consequences, I can agree to that, and I'm ready to face them, whatever they may be." He said, swallowing for a moment, "If that means I'm not a member of this team anymore, so be it." He would have said he'd be okay with Raynor "ripping his head off", but even though he felt bad, he wasn't ready to die for what he had done, and he didn't want to seem disingenuous. "But please. This mission needs to be completed, and one thing I can say for certain, is that I will not let what happened here, happen to Cardiff." His fist clenched for a moment, before looking back up, and all around at the team, "I don't care if I'm fired, or locked up, or worse. I will not stand on the sidelines for this." He turned to face Tinley, and walked towards her, ready to follow her to have whatever conversation they might need to have in private.
