Well unless I can be sure I have at least two people to work with...I'll probably just drop this unless I can get someone else to join. So until the little green man gets a post in this will be put on halt until I can get more people, otherwise I'll just end it here before we get too invested.

Alrighty.

Was fun. If you start up another RP like this one, even if it's not Dragon Ball related, lemme know. Might be interested in joining!

I'll keep subbed to this thread in case we do continue, though.

@Dark Light Ya...I'm not really feeling this character at all. I can appreciate the effort to truly go for something quite different but it ain't clicking with me. The whole backstory and the sharing a body with essentially three spirits is just way out there. I guess there is some previous examples with Majinn Buu's absorption and Namekian fusion, but feels more complex than it needs to be. So I'm going to say no to this character concept.

Hi, I might have posted to the wrong place, but I wanted to ask if there's room for one more player/character?

Got room for one more? Also, would you be allowing characters from other universes like a D&D-styled Half-Elf into the setting? Also, is there any chance we'd get to interact with any of the characters from the show? Not that I'm expecting to play as them or have them become the focus, but it'd be interesting to have cameos or missions where we'd get to work with them for a bit.

There is certainly room for more. As for your questions from the interest thread: No they can't be a character from other universe, but there are quite a few races that have similar looks to elves such as the Gelboians, could even be a half-elfish type race if you set up the backstory correctly. The setting is in its own universe so there are no canon characters from the show, as of now I have no plans of any multi-verse shenanigans that could bring in any canon characters. So in sort almost certainly not.

@IceHeart that's too bad. But, let's try to get creative. I looked up the Gelboians, and they might work. But, what about the Konatsians? Since this is an AU roleplay, what if this version wasn't blown up?

I will need to rework this character's backstory to fit this universe, but it might be for the best

@WanderingDragon Konatsians would work too.

@IceHeart Okay, I'll need to think of an alternate backstory.

The original concept for Nanto Zau'Ep, A.K.A. Shur'Iara is supposed to be the Half-Elf son of a Dark Elf ninja-spy, and a Human swordsman monk. I could have a thing where a Gelboian or Konatsian comes to Earth, hooks up with a human and they have their child that way. But it feels kinda generic.

I could have Nanto be purely of his race instead of a half-breed. But, I don't think his design would fit into Konatsian physiology very well, so Gelboians might be the better option. Only issue there is that very little is explore about that race, so I'm not sure if the whole Ninja-Magic Swordsman bit would fit into their race without taking liberties.

@IceHeart actually, a better idea occurs. I have a human character that would fit into this roleplay much better than the Half-Elf. But, I need to edit until I get home to type it up.

But, what I can tell you now it's that he is a young, mostly self taught martial artist on s journey to enlightenment. He'd get involved with the planet breakers because he feels true enlightenment comes from aiding the suffering, target than just hiding from it.

He uses a combination of a sword, gun, and dark energy (gravitational energy) to fight. A good comparison would be biotic classes from Mass Effect, or the Warlock class from Destiny.

@WanderingDragon I think the character looks good for the most part. The only thing I'm not sure of at the moment is the gravity control part of the powers. Telekinesis is a Dragon Ball power so it's certainly not unusual, well just have to make sure it is not very effective against the tougher opponents and should be fine.

@IceHeart

Okay, the gravity control is meant to be a sort of "psuedo-telekinesis" in which he manipulates things by messing with their gravitational fields rather than outright moving them with his mind.

What I want to go for with Jaden is someone who, while not the most powerful person in the group, is just as dangerous because he can figure out and exploit his enemies' weaknesses rather than kamehaha-ing them into dust... No offense to people who play that way, I just figured it'd make a nice balance to the group.

Anyway, I'm glad you like what I present so far, but I feel like his backstory can use some tweaking, and I'd like to find a way to fully explain his personality without dumping a wall of text.

@IceHeart And done. Let me know what you think. Oh, and yeah you can say the gravity control won't be that effective against stronger enemies. It's better for crowd control when dealing with fodder, and certain mid-level opponents.

@WanderingDragon Ok looks good for the most part, although in your reworked background, might want to fix your first sentence and your last sentence, kind of missing a word or two. Fix that up and I think you will be good to go.

@WanderingDragon Well at the moment it makes the most sense to find a way for your character to join the current mission. Either we can swap you out with one of my inactives and just say you were there all the time or else find some reason for him to join up. If we go the already there route you can just jump right into the action right away.

Hm. I have an idea: What if Jaden just wrapped up another mission or task and is sent over? Would be less jarring than just saying he was always there.
