Eli nodded at Marcus' words before he moved to grab the translator from Max and hooked it up to his tapes and tried to reconfig everything. He continued to fiddle with it the entire way back to base without another word.

Max looked to the woman as Marcus spoke.
"Why... would they take her to the hive?" He asked after a bit of silence, "I know they'd use her as a breeding candidate but would there be any... other reason?" He asked, he didn't seem to be stressing himself with his words this time around, moreso just mulling over things to himself.
"And it was odd to see drones out alone without a commander alien." He continued with a furrowed brow, thinking about what he had read on the aliens.

"Maybe she knows somethin' that they don't want us to know."

Marcus suggested, taking the bayonet off his weapon and putting it back against his leg. Perhaps whoever this woman is has seen what the aliens don't want The Rise to see? It was a pretty rough guess.

"It is odd to see Drones without their commanders, so perhaps picking up a random human wasn't something they needed to dedicate so much for. Then again, they seemed to prefer to talk instead of kill, so perhaps they were just dumb. Either way, if she wakes up, we'll gently ask her some questions."

Max frowned as Marcus brainstormed with him. He looked towards the woman again, sighing softly before he looked back to Marcus.
"I hope she's okay... Mentally." He said, he had heard stories of humans who got took by the aliens who turned onto their side due to some sort of mental manipulation.

The drive back was okay, mostly silence between the men, Eli continued to tinker with the audio with an angry look on his face.
When they got back, there were a few medical soldiers waiting outside. One of them had a stretcher beside them as their attention was drawn towards the truck as it started to slow down.

"I hope so too."

As the trucks continued onward, the journey to the base was straight forward, no trouble or disturbances. When the trucks slowed down, Marcus spotted two medical soldiers waiting with a stretcher. Moving over to the woman they found, he picked her up gently and stepped out the truck towards the two soldiers.

"Take good care of her. She seems to pop in and out of consciousness but at least she doesn't seem to have any physical injuries. Let me know when she fully wakes up."

One of the soldiers moved over with the stretcher and took her from Marcus, placing her onto the stretcher and headed inside without a word. The other one watched him leave before he looked back to Marcus with his chin up.
"Thank you." He started, "The boss wants to see you, it's apparently important so you better not wait around too long." He bowed his head as he turned away, "He should be in his quarters." He walked off slowly towards where the other soldier had left to.

Max followed Marcus rather quickly out of the truck, glancing back to Eli as he stayed there, head back and eyes closed as if he didn't realize they had gotten home- er well. Back to base.
Max sighed, he guessed this was his home now, he was one of the newest members- Apart from his younger sister who he was found with after aliens came into his home and... He shuddered and moved his arm to wipe away a tear as he straightened out his back with narrowed eyes.

The woman rolled on the stretcher, letting out small grumbles and pants as if she was injured or exhausted. She seemed to be mumbling things under her breath, and she seemed to be furrowing her brow.

"The boss wants to see me? This'll be fun..."

Marcus stated sarcastically as he witnessed the two soldiers pull the girl away. When Max shuddered a tear from his eyes, Marcus looked toward him.

"Hey, everything's gonna be alright. We've all been through some hell. But that's why we're such a good family. Everyone's been through tough times, and it's things like that that'll make us tougher. Trust me, I would know, I lost my entire squad when the aliens first arrived. My only memories of my team are our group name and dog-tags in my quarters. Anyway, the boss wants to see me."

Marcus then sighed and walked off towards the direction of the boss's quarters. Once he arrived, he knocked on the door.

"Boss, you wanted to see me? It's Marcus."

Max looked up to Marcus as he spoke about his old team, he hesitated as he almost wanted to speak before he responded with a single nod and glanced back to Eli, moving to gently nudge him to get him to follow him inside.

The door opened slowly, the hinges creaking as it did so.
"Come in." A stern, older male voice echoed from inside the room.
The room inside was a dark oaky wood colouration, the lamps on the walls casing the soft yellow light through the area as a grey haired man sat behind an oak desk with his elbows against the desk and his middle finger, index finger curved over his cheeks while his thumbs were under his chin.
His emerald green eyes stared towards Marcus as entered, he seemed... annoyed.

Stepping in after ordered to, Marcus did admire the oaky theme that he had going for his quarters. Similar to Marcus's but a bit more darker coloured which, everybody had their tastes. Stepping further in, he saluted before speaking.

"You look annoyed, sir. Is somethin wrong?"

The boss didn't speak for a moment before he straightened himself out.
"I was just thinking." He stated slowly, his eyes moved to look at Marcus and narrowed slightly. "How did the mission go? I presume since you brought home someone it went without any negativities?" He tilted his head slightly.

The medical staff looked the woman over, doing as many checks as they could as they got her ready for when she finally came around to consciousness. They did blood tests and DNA swipes, moving to look for anything out of the ordinary.
The woman moved slightly, tossing her head to the side and knocked out the breathing tube, letting in a large gust of air into her lungs as her eyes clenched before opening suddenly.
She heaved when the air entered her lungs, moving to sit up before a few of the medics pushed her back down.

"The mission went relatively well. We only brought back one person, although that person was already found by the Aliens. Only two of them though, and they went down real easy. Spoke about orders to take her back to their hive or something like that, so safe to say I think we spared her whatever horrors they planned."

Marcus stated honestly, lighting a Cigar from his supply in his pocket.

"The medical team's taken her in, hopefully they can help her out before we ask any questions."

The boss nodded, "Aye, I am aware." He straightened up slowly, "Do you have any idea who this woman is?" He reached under his desk to his small filing cabinet of past workers.
He had already picked this one out, as he read over it before Marcus came back.

The Medics didn't need to restrain her for long, as she suddenly relaxed at the sight of other humans and closed her eyes with a sigh.
"People." She uttered shakily under her breath as she started to sit up, this time the Medics allowed it.
"You're all healthy from what we can see." The Soldier who talked to Marcus about the boss earlier spoke as he pulled himself from the wall. "The bloods and fluids won't be done until tomorrow. Welcome to the Rise." He held out his hand for her to shake.
She stared at it before moving to gently shake his hand with a small nod, mumbling a thank you under her breathe.

"I'm not familiar with her, no, sir. Should I be?"

Meanwhile nearby the Campsite, a young woman was pushing herself forward towards the camp; clenching her arm tightly while holding one P226 Pistol with another on a holster on her right leg. Her clothing was battered and torn, parts of her arm and legs were revealed; hinting that she hadn't had a change of clothing in a long time. Her outfit was standard issue British Armed Forces, still bearing the United Kingdom flag. Walking up to the Camp slowly, she raised her pistol and turned on the flashlight attachment; aiming it at the camp itself for a few seconds before eventually passing out on the ground.

"You've heard of the man who started the Rise, yes?" The Boss asked with a small frown. "The Scientist, Dr. Tora?"

Eli had gone for a walk as he listened to the recording again. He was slowly getting things correctly working to get a proper encryption.
He glanced up as he heard footsteps and a thump. "Huh?" He asked as he moved to hold one of his guns, "Who's there?" He noticed the woman passed out. He rushed over to her side and knelt down.
"Shit. Shit." He said as he looked over the woman, moving to lift her up slowly.

"Of course I have sir, pretty sure everybody here would of. We'd all not be here if not for him."

When he lifted her up, she opened her eyes slowly to spot Eli but before she could respond, she passed out again. Seems like she was heavily exhausted. Eli should be able to notice various scratch marks and her uniform being worn and torn. She must of been out there on her own for a long time.

The boss nodded, "We have information that the woman you saved... Could very well be his daughter." He started, looking up towards Marcus, awaiting his reply.

Eli frowned as he looked the woman over. He moved quickly before he started to gently jog towards the base, rushing her to the medic bay as quickly as possible. He handed her over towards the medics before he was stopped by one of the medics and lead into another room.
He looked over to the woman they rescued, sitting on a chair as she seemed to acclimatize to the entire area.
"This is the one you saved." He started, "Eli, this is Rosellia. Rose, this is Eliath."
Eli bowed his head with a small smile, "I guess you prefer to be called Rose?" Rose gave a gentle nod, "Of course, My name is Eli."

"What?! Are you serious?!"

Marcus exclaimed in shock. The woman who he and his team saved could very well be the daughter of the founder of The Rise, that's something Marcus would never of expected.

A few minutes since Eli had taken her into the med-bay, she slowly woke up and noticed she was inside said med-bay. She was lucky that someone found her when she passed out but she fully expected to die. Attempting to get up, she lifted her head.

"Hey, where am I?"

The boss smiled with a nod, "Aye. We're unsure how or why she went missing, but it's definitely her." He said towards Marcus before his phone beeped, he moved to answer it.
"Hello?"
"Yes... Of course. Yes. Okay. Thank you." He hung up and looked over to Marcus. "Rosellia is away, Elis' there with her. You should see them."

Eli overheard another voice before he excused himself and looked over to the woman.
"Oh good, you're okay." He said happily, "Welcome to the Rise. I saw you pass out so I brought you back here. You're safe here, I promise." Eli looked as Rose followed him quietly.

"That's a good idea. Thank you for the meeting, sir."

Marcus stated as he walked out of the boss's quarters and closed the door behind him, on his way to the med-bay. So that woman he rescued could very well be the founder of The Rise's daughter. What a find...

"The Rise, huh? Guess being stuck in Britain for so long makes you not know much about the state of the world. Been kicking Alien ass for so long my body finally decided to say 'no'. Name's Veronica Kelly. I used to be in the British Armed Forces before the whole alien attack."

Eli looked towards Veronica as she mentioned about British Armed Forces.
"The BAF?" He asked with a tilt of his head, "My squad leader if from there too... Maybe you... know him?" He tilted his head before he heard footsteps.
He turned to the door before Marcus entered, Rose watched Veronica quietly.

Rose waved her hand gently, _{"My name is Rose. Nice to meet you Ms. Kelly."} She said quietly, smiling a little bit.

"Maybe, it depends who 'he' is. Nice to meet you, Rose."

Veronica smiled before hearing some footsteps nearby as Marcus made his way into the premise.

"Ah, she's woken up. How's she feeling?"
"Long time no see, Marcus."
"Kelly? I thought you were dead."
"Guess I'm tougher then you, huh? Good to see you again. After saving my life in Afghanistan, I owed you big time."

Marcus wandered over to her and turned towards Eli.

"I'd like for you to meet someone who I fought with and rescued during my services in the BAF; Miss Veronica Kelly. Veronica, this is Eli; one of my squadmates. Duel Wields, just like you."
"Really? Then perhaps I'd better give him some pointers since fighting on my own. Nice to meet ya."
