I'm not interesting beyond what's mentioned in the title, but I mostly wanted to know the site's opinion on portraying real folks in a roleplay? That is, anyone that has already made their appearance well known on the internet or otherwise - extending to internet personalities/celebrities and not just actors, etc.

That's my intro.

@goosecrowcircus If you're talking about faceclaims, the site doesn't have any issues with them. I myself regularly use actors, youtubers, band members and the like to portray my characters. If you're using art, it's always a courtesy to link the artist if you know who it is, of course.

Oh, that's what they're called. Yeah, I don't mind posting their aliases or whatever they identify as publicly in the character sheet, etc. I just wanted to make sure before I outright did anything because all I could see were fantasy threads but I just assume those are the most popular sections of the site.

No worries! Slice-of-Life are really common too. That's where most of us use our 'real-life' FC's. Rather the thread calls for a real life FC or not is up to the GM usually. It's actually pretty common to list the persons name in the sheet, so glad you're accustomed to that. xD

@goosecrowcircus If you mean just using their picture as a representation of what your character looks like, that's fine. If you want to PLAY an existing person (ex. if you wanted to RP AS Jacksepticeye or something) you'd prob have to relegate that to 1x1, I don't think there's any rule against it per se but afaik it tends to make people uncomfortable.
