PREMISE
Junkyousha(殉教者,Martyr) is a reimagined Naruto Roleplay loosely connected to the Canon; 200 years after the Fourth World War. In an era where feudalism, omitted, the world transitioned to an era of unified prefectures — no longer having the the orthodox ninjatology. At the height of industrialization, the Samurai became the Shinsengumi, authorized police of the estate by the Chiji(Governor) while Ninja cast a shadow as mythical protectors within the dark as lamps.
Ninja in this age are rumored to be real and viewed as myths by the populace. Told as children's folklore stories by elders during bedtime and conspiracies by the curious, unknown to man but the fiends of the world that illuminate their existence. The toll of the Shinobi is a road to sacrifice and suffering but at the end of the tunnel is unquestionable honor. Shinobi in this modern times are used for espionage and subterfuge through blacklist livelihood, they do the dishonorable things that the Samurai couldn't do. Although questionable in morality, they gotta do what they are hired for as hitmen.

DISCRETE
This is an alternate continuum universe based on how Naruto was originally intended to be. Instead of the flashy unadulterated un-ninja nonsense, the tone of this roleplay is fashionably similar to the dark and gritty Classic Naruto, meaning that power levels are grounded and our battles are based on underhanded tactics than brawn. Canonical events happened similarly and nonsensical things like the Ōtsutsuki are omitted from the revised canon, we are ninja, not aliens.
WORLDBUILDING
The Divine Ruler of Sekai is an Emperor who unified nations and ninja villages into prefectual states governed by the Chiji and protected by the Shinsengumi. Shinobi are now one and belong to the autonomous Shinobi Federal Association, once ruled by whose namesake fanned the flames of civilization within the shadow, The Sixth Hokage, Uchiha Sasuke.
This is the continuum where Sasuke defeated Naruto in the Final Valley and enacted his ideology to the world as the Immortal Shadow Dictator. He successfully murdered the rotten during Infinite Tsukuyomi along with the Five Kage, his propaganda was put to motion, indoctrinated the world as he saw fit. Sasuke remained immortal by absorbing chakra from the sealed Bijū all throughout his life, eventually he died in his own terms when he accomplished unifying the Shinobi World.
The current era is analogous to early 20th century, chakra is utilized in various ways for livelihood and ninja are considered to be a myth.
Ninja villages are gone but a shell of its past self. They are now industrious capitals of their respective nations. Shinobi are the equivalent of CIA but they are also hitman for hire, during the day they have cover jobs like how the Yamanaka Clan are florists but at night, they do ninja labor.
The usage of headbands became obsolete, with the decree of unified nations — clan insignia had also become no longer worn because of identity protection. Just as how the world was during the Warring States Era.
